'Power' and 'power hungry' are those words that we have demonized and sacrificed to spread the level down propaganda that's egalitarianism and anti- hierarchy, when power is not only inbuilt meaning we all seek it but extremely important and useful to life.
Power is the ability to influence the outcome, perception and course of events. People that have power are people that have- control or at least influence over lives, theirs or otherwise. Lack of power is the most painful position one can be in- exhibit A your childhood if you had one of those parents. Lack of power power leads to slavery, bring under dictatorship, resentment, self loathing, humiliation, shame, etc. The most painful position you can be in is one where you Lack power over yourself.
Neitzsche (I can never correctly spell his name) insists that power over yourself is the most important form of power, and that a good life is a life spent garnering and exercising power over yourself. Power over yourself is simply- discipline. When your will is stronger than your impulses and urges and wants- when you're disciplined- then you have achieved the highest form of power in existence- which makes this the first point. An easy way to be powerful is to be disciplined.
Power over others, however , is just as important. As social species we are constantly in need of company, in fact isolation is a death- to be at the mercy of others is also a death. Since as a social species we are dependent on each other for survival it is important to have some level of power over others- we are also animals and people will naturally treat you at the lowest level they can- it's important to make this level as high as possible.
So then, some cheap / completely free easy to do ways to be powerful?
Articulation and eloquence. Jordan Peterson says the most dangerous thing a person can be is to be articulate and eloquent. Why? Because words are the most powerful weapon out there. Everything social happens through words , and it's a social species so do the math. Wars have been declared and ended over and through words. Relationships formed and destroyed. Governments created and disbanded- words. In my religion save for human beings Everything was created by words- its that powerful. The most powerful you can be is articulate. The way you speak- from your surface lexicon to your intonation to the speed you use to your accent- people judge you over this. It influences how people treat you and think of you. It's soft power that's also explosive. Increase your surface lexicon. Get rid of your original accent and get one that people either a) find superior or b) commonplace ie most people have it (fun fact before skin color and origin we assess each other on accent basis and subconsciously decode if we like you or not. Explanation: people in the same tribe have the same accent , so consider eo brothers and safe. Strangers, not so much). Learn to pace your words. Be straightforward and open. Which drives me to point two
Honesty and authenticity. Look , I think you should lie. Manipulate girl boss gatekeep - these require lying at some point- go for it. What's more powerful, though, is to learn to ger what you want by manipulating the truth. You know what they say- the truth will set you free. Here's the problem with lying- we can tell. There are tells and subconsciously cues that your body sends when you lie and we subconsciously detect them and when you're caught in one lie it destroys your credibility all round. It's like a castle of jenga falling apart, everything that was once in harmony just- trips over. Credibility is the backbone of all relationships- you lose that you get isolated. Honesty is such a powerful tool because a) its vulnerable b) it signals confidence c) it builds trust d) the gift of companionship- you meet people that can actually relate e) you don't need to remember too much or always hold up a facade, the truth will set you free f) it's such an idgaf move that makes you seem superior especially if it's something you'd get judged harshly on. Just- be truthful- I've given f ways in which it influences how people treat you. The trick here is to do the mystery thing- keep things to yourself, unlearn your need to overexplain or justify, learn to give vague, short and true answers and when in doubt, cry.
Knowledge is power- what more must I add. Read. Keep up with the economics and government politics. Learn personal finance and build a financial base. Read fiction. Listen to podcasts. Be informed. Know the things that matter, and no that isn't drake X Kendrick Lamar it's things that matter. Get good grades and hold, at the very least, a bachelor's. Watch movies and go to the opera. Subscribe to newsletter. Be informed. Know. Knowledge is power. Join training camps and whatnots. Be skilled and efficient.
Networks. Power is stored in webs and security is in numbers. Exhibit a) try attack someone with a strong fan base see how that goes for you. You want to be powerful? Have friends, and not just friends. Powerful friends. I don't mean a team of CEOs necessarily- loyalty at the top is tricky and unless you're also a CEO that might not be easy- I mean people that can influence the turn of events. Sometimes- like in fandoms- it's simply just, people. Who your networks are made up of is dependent on what you want- as long as you keep in mind security is in numbers. Run up your numbers, ma'am. Forget your introvercy and self isolation methods , leave your house and learn to talk to people and run up your numbers. The most powerful you can be, is to get to a point where a) you have numbers on every level b)you have a cult leader like presence- that people worship you and are willing to die for you. Like most celebrities do. That's security, that's power. If you have a Nicki Minaj level fan base people treat you well because if they don't your fans will tear them apart. & you can get away with anything because they will justify it for you.
Grooming and mannerisms. We- inclusive of you- judge our books by their covers. Before you speak your Grooming and your etiquette speak for you. That's, I'm not explaining this. I know you know.

I have a STS question to offer hello yes,,,
Out of the cast of GFS (or any other WIP if you want to answer for other characters),,,, which TMA fears do you think, for lack of a better term, match best with each character?
Or if that one doesn't work, pls tell me a little about your character creation process b/c I am Intrigued!! (Also not sire if I've asked that before JAJDJF)
HIHIHIHI IVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND AN EXCUSE TO WRITE THIS OUT LIKE FOREVER AND EVER THANK YOU FOR THIS QUESTION
im going to list what theyre most likely to become avatars of. so, like, fears they're susceptible to and have, but also.... and YET.... can't help holding on to/feeling like they Need.
Angel: the End. they're a necromancer, after all. Angel's relationship with death is something that their arc is heavily tied to, in more ways than one.
Bea: the Lonely or the Buried. Bea is so, so afraid of being lonely, and yet she can't manage to bring herself to actually trust people and form lasting, strong relationships. Bea is also being crushed by all the pressures and debts and responsibilities being forced onto her, and she does not know how to escape--not to mention, feels like she isn't allowed to.
Hope: the Vast, in the more metaphorical sense--not the "help fuck i'm falling" way, but the "i am insignificant. I am nothing. i leave no impact on the uncaring universe" way. Hope wants desperately to be able to make a mark on the world, but feels they will never be able to do so.
Corey: I almost said the Web, Vast, or Lonely, and they'd be fair enough choices, but. no, actually. The Eye. He does not want to be watched, he does not want to be known, and at the same time, he MUST know. he's desperate to know, to have all his questions answered, even if it destroys him.
Rowan: this is another one where she could be split equally between two. Before the second half of book 2, it's definitely the Slaughter; she is forced into a life of relentless violence, but fears it all the same. After that, though, the Web (with Slaughter still in there). She must be in charge. She must be in control. She never, ever wants to be used or manipulated ever again. Ever.
Tasya: the Spiral, specifically the fear of the world being wrong, of deception and lies, and illusion. This was always kind of there as a fear of hers, but after literally everything with Rowan, it gets worse.
bonus side characters: Vanya's is the Stranger. He's deeply afraid and mistrusting of things that do not feel quite right, that are almost human but not close enough. Lucian's is the Desolation. It fears the constant pain and loss that haunts it, that it cannot seem to escape. Anya's (ooh!! villain i don't talk about!!) is the Corruption. She fears decay, disgust, unhealthy love. Dwyn's (another villain I don't talk about!!) is the Hunt. Pretty standard hunt stuff, too. Fearing being chased, being the prey instead of the predator.
i would also talk abt character creation but this got too long sdkjfhdsf. anyway this was fun!! and also i will now be obsessively thinking about all my other OCs' TMA fears

The Problem with Season Five
this is already going to have a lot of you in the replies yelling at me. obviously, massive SPOILERS for s5 of she ra and the princesses of power if you haven't already seen it.
okay, so She Ra is definitely a kids' show, but it has a lot of themes aimed towards an older audience: abuse, war, found family, destiny and knowing who you are. I loved She Ra because it made me feel empowered, made me feel seen. after this last season, however, I don't feel the same. I will, however, talk about what it did well.
What She-Ra s5 did RIGHT
I very much enjoyed seeing the character development for most characters come to the forefront here. For example, SW returned to her original motivations. When she lived in Mystacor with the other sorcerers, her thirst for power was borne of a desire to fight the Horde. When she was rejected, then she chose to do what she did. We see a return to that in s5, where she takes a stand against Prime by enlisting Castaspella to stop her if she tries to take any power for herself. She ends up just wanting to help, to do what she can, which was excellent. Glimmer, Bow and a bunch of other characters are given some love here as well. I especially enjoyed seeing Bow and Mermista take on leadership positions in the absence of Adora; it was an excellent look into another facet of their personalities.
Character interactions in non-serious moments were, for the most part, good. Swift Wind and Scorpia being bros was not something I knew I needed but something I want more of. Netossa basically being Batman and knowing the weaknesses of everyone around her was great and an iconic scene. Bow thinking Catra was super adorable was also an excellent moment in the season and I could watch 9 more seasons worth of that. Something that surprised me was Entrapta's "not good with people"-ness being talked about and addressed by the other characters and explained by her; I wasn't sure if that was ever gonna be talked about in the show.
Side note: thank you Crew-Ra for giving Scorpia her own musical number, it was great.
Tumblr media
Prime was also a fascinating enemy. He's this sort of religious figure, this world destroyer who's been around for seemingly centuries, maybe much longer. He's cold, calm and calculated. I've seen it pointed out that he's everything Hordak is not. He's manipulative, knows body language and facial expressions, and has a perfect grasp on how to get exactly what we wants. My favorite aspect of this season was the hive mind control. This was a very interesting plotline to me, and I thoroughly enjoyed HiveMind!Catra as well as Wrong Hordak. I loved the idea of pitting allies against each other and the angst and emotional weight that carried.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Going to use that point to segue into one of this season's strengths: Netossa and Spinnerella. Wow! We get a chance to see what a healthy queer/wlw relationship looks like, and two background characters get major upgrades in relevance. Two diversity points for one being a big girl and for the couple being interracial (in our world anyway), but diversity is the norm is SPOP and we might have to stan forever. It was extremely heartwarming and resulted in one of my favorite scenes to ever show up in animated media (one which I'll be stealing to add to my vows if I ever get married):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was beautiful and I will absolutely never shut up about it.
There were some beautiful moments this season!! Absolutely gorgeous. A highlight for me cinematically was episode 5, which will probably bother some people when I say what I will below. I will be honest, the new transformation sequence and the scene of Adora holding Catra as She-Ra was powerful and had my heart pounding with excitement. It was awesome.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the other hand...
What She-Ra s5 did WRONG
I'm going to break my issues with the final season down one by one, starting with the narrative of abuse.
From the very beginning, abuse is the most prevalent theme in the show. Prime (HP) abuses Hordak, Hordak abuses SW, SW abuses both Adora and Catra, and Catra abuses Adora. I liked the Crew-Ra tackling this issue. Abused people abuse people, right?
Why was everyone redeemed in s5? (Well, except for Prime, he was blasted away by She-Ra.) Hordak was given a blank slate to start over, even though he was the reason Etheria was war torn for at least a few decades; SW was given a hero's sacrifice, where at the end of her life she finally decides to do some good; and Catra is immediately forgiven for doing one good thing and all trust in placed in her simultaneously.
Hordak and H. Prime as abusers are pretty cut and dry; at no point are they ever remorseful for their actions, except for Hordak in the case of being abusive to Entrapta. SW is much more of an interesting character to analyze, because her motivations are geared directly towards herself. This seems to change in the final season, when she returns to her original motivations from back when she was in Mystacor. Defending her home. In her pursuit of the power needed to defend Etheria from the Horde, she fell into darkness. She began to abuse Adora and Catra.
One could argue that the hero's sacrifice she was given for redemption was unneeded. SW was an individual addicted to power. She was manipulative, using fake affection as a means to control. She didn't deserve a redemption. The only evidence we have of this supposed change of heart is a line to Castaspella: "...and stop me if I try to take the power for myself." Okay... so, SW, um... what changed your mind? Was it Micah? Because at no point has he forgiven you. In fact, there should've been much more hostility between the two of you (which is a point I'll address in a moment). In all honesty, the relationship between SW and Micah reminds me of what should've happened between Catra and Glimmer, or Catra and Scorpia.
And Catra... My problem with her story is that she was kinda just... forgiven? instantly. no repercussions, no long talks about feelings, no... consequences. Catra got the girl and that was it. A small list of things she did over 4 seasons, in no certain order:
Scratched what was implied were scarring marks down Adora's back
Was the cause of Angella's "death" #angelladeservedbetter
Kidnapped both Glimmer and Bow
Opened a world-ending portal all to ensure Adora failed
Also pushed Adora into what looked like an abyss
Verbally abused Scorpia into leaving
Wanted to pit Corrupted!She-Ra against her friends (dehumanization)
Got Entrapta sent to Beast Island, a deadly place no one ever returns from
Tumblr media
And this is just the stuff off the top of my head. We all knew Catra was going to get a redemption, but this one was completely undeserved. She apologized to Adora and Entrapta. Two very short apologies for what canonly was at minimum, months of abuse, manipulation, intent to kill (which is literally mentioned by Adora) and general disregard for anyone or anything but revenge for something that didn't even deserve it. The entire cast should've been outraged. Glimmer in particular had a very big reason not to ever forgive Catra ("I'm not losing another parent!"), but it was all glossed over.
The biggest issue with season 5 was the abuse plotline completely dropped. You can't spend 4 seasons explaining how the cycle of abuse affects you and everyone around you... and shelve it. And we know the reason why it was shelved.
Let me first preface this with the fact that I am super happy we got representation. As a queer nblw who grew up feeling alone, it's so good to see things changing in media. An onscreen wlw kiss on a kids' show is groundbreaking and I'm very happy that She-Ra broke this barrier.
But all representation is not good representation. Catra and Adora is not a good representation of a healthy relationship.
Catra is shown throughout the series to be very unstable. This is even prevalent in season 5, when Adora "chooses SW" over Catra, she runs away. This breaks Adora's heart. The last thing that Catra needs is a relationship when she hasn't even confronted the issues that she has. There's no healing done in season 5, no therapy as the fandom loved to meme about, no long talks about forgiveness and the hurt caused. There's no callback to any of the pain and anguish that Catra put Adora through. Catra may love Adora, but if there is no healing done for the both of them, their relationship will fail. They will fall into the same cycle again. Adora will do something Catra doesn't like, Catra will do what she's done for all of the show, and it will repeat until something breaks.
I'm going to talk about the implications of the ending we have now, and feel free to argue with me.
She-Ra is a kids' show. Abuse is one of the main themes. Catra is shown to be an abuser. Here's what we are teaching younger audiences:
a. if you love someone enough, maybe they'll change
b. everyone deserves a second chance
c. your abuser will change as long as you're loyal and never stop trying to love them
d. things someone does to hurt you mean nothing in the wake of forgiveness
e. if someone who hurt you changes suddenly and wants to be back in your life, you should let them back in
Character interactions for the things that mattered (plot threads from previous seasons, general personality clashes, etc) were absent this season, in the moments where they mattered the most. (The best three in my opinion were Scorpia and Perfuma, the BFS inviting Catra in, and Mermista and Entrapta.) Glimmer and Adora should've had their time to talk. Scorpia should've gotten to say her piece to Catra. SW and Micah should've interacted more. Micah and Glimmer should've gotten more than an introduction!
Tumblr media
I'm not going to get into how the entire final season was wrapped around making Catra and Adora get together (a fundamental writing no-no; it never ends up working), or how it was bad writing. I just want everyone to think critically for one moment. There are so many other glaring issues in what was, overall, a stellar show. If there was another season, or some mini episodes where the characters talk out their problems and past transgressions against each other, then I could excuse She-Ra. But I doubt we're going to get any of that. So I won't.

Your Thoughts for OW’s Lore At Blizzcon
**Edit - would help to tag you hurr durr @freckledmccree
I like how you will indulge in detailed speculation and interpretation of OW lore and don’t center all ideas around one specific (noncanon) idea but will admit occasional personal bias. I also really appreciate that you steer relatively clear from fanon and when people respond to your writings you don’t have an attitude or seemingly disregard them. Sooo, that’s why I wrote this disgustingly long thing even tho I’m paranoid about being annoying.
(Apology beforehand if you have answered any of these before, I have not properly stalked your blog yet. Also, excuse my rambling I did my best to be coherent. Lastly, I only have one friend who is kinda into OW and I feel bad to bother them 24/7 so I talk a lot in this.)
McCree Speculation
The following assumes that the new cinematic will be McCree’s.
If there is another known character in the short along with McCree, excluding flashbacks, who do you think it would be?
I have 3-4 ideas even though I would not say they are likely. And with any of these I don't imagine a role any larger than Brig's in Honor and Glory or even Zarya in Infiltration.
A.) Genji. I don't think it's likely but I wouldn't be surprised. It also might be risky on Blizzard's part because many are salty about Genji's abundance of lore compared to others. (Which is dumb and I would gladly rant on it but it's not the point) Reasons:
Notable increase of McCree's interactions w/him.
McCree might've left OW in a less professional fashion than others. Which would mean he may not have anything to be alerted by for the recall. Especially since he went underground for a while.  Winston’s contact info? Long since changed.
From how I interpret “Dragons” it seems that Genji has received the call as well as offered Hanzo a choice to go w/him “The world is changing once again, Hanzo. And it's time to pick a side.” So why not others?
Genji has also been canonically in touch w/at least one other ex OW member. So why not try to get in touch with another member that we know he directly worked with?
My logic - Why would their interactions matter?
McCree's asking about how Genji dealt with the loss of his body emotionally/physically as well as Genji's response leaves room for the implication that Genji knows how he lost his arm.
Why would Genji go in person?
Well, I mean you probably don't wanna broadcast that your getting the highly illegal band back together. In which said band also is also hated by the UN and every other terrorist organization on the planet.
How will Genji know how to find him?
Cause he's a ninja, duh. But seriously McCree most likely said something before he quit OW and if not Genji would just have to look at the news and he'd be there.
B.) Sombra. If anything I wouldn't be surprised by a small reference to her rather than actually seeing her.
Reflections comic (duh)
My logic - I expect Sombra to get involved with a little bit of everything. She likes making people question their beliefs on who is “right” or “wrong”.
She would most likely know about the recall so if she wants to manipulate that at all she could be the one to tell McCree about it. Idk, she’s a wildcard with anything.
C.) Fio. The Blackwatch Pilot in Retribution. (I used “known” characters loosely) I'm not sure on my certainty with her, tbh. But I do find it rather intriguing. (I said no flashbacks but maybe with this one)
Fio's only lines that are not directly related towards the mission are all directed towards McCree.
The tone of them is clearly on the teasing/banter side of things.
My logic - Why have this side character show any interest in conversation outside of the task at hand?
If she was just being used for the game mode and as lore filler it would make more sense to have only lines relating to the mission. Or have generalized ones for the team. But she has multiple focusing on the one and only Jesse McCree.
Reasons for that could be that they ran out of time to add other interactions. Which would explain why McCree does not acknowledge her comments. (The only time he was quiet during the mission is when she talked to him, rip you got denied girl) Or it could be that they knew each other previously or trained together in some of the early days of Blackwatch.
D.) Mercy. This one I would be surprised to see but it would have some logic to it.
Losing his arm, depending on the how/when/where.
She is not one of the characters who speak to him about his arm.
My logic - Who fixed his arm up for him?
Depending on how/when/where he lost his arm he may have shyed away from public hospitals. Especially with Talon  seemingly controlling so much of the press. So he may of wanted someone he personally trusted as well as doctor patient confidentiality.
Why does Mercy of all people not ask about the prosthetic?
Out of the people who question McCree Mercy isn't one of them. Which may seem odd since she has known him for so long and her being a doctor. However, she does call out his smoking. So this proves she does pay attention to his over all health. (Which I am aware is a much older interaction) But it would have been a good opportunity to have her inquire about the arm there if she doesn't already know.
Do you think McCree will directly receive the recall or from some other source?
What do you think of the fact that McCree lost his left arm specifically?
If the loss of McCree's arm is related to the Deadlock Gang do you speculate that it was intentionally the arm that had his tattoo on it? With how far McCree got in his career/life with OW and potentially spilling info on the gang when caught some people might want him to hurt. Not just die. To me forcefully sawing off the branding of the gang he betrayed would fit the bill. As well as be a good warning for others. (Not that blizzard would show that)
How do you imagine the camaraderie within Deadlock to be?
I ask this since in “Hero” right before the Los Muertos member throws the grenade it shows him actively choosing to help the other gang members (very broken gang members thanks to Soldier 76)onto the back of the truck instead of getting out ASAP.
I just found that to be notable in how their social structure works. It makes more sense for Los Muertos specifically since they originally wanted to stand up against the politics and speak out for the people still suffering from the Omnic Crisis. They are not formed from the shady work they do.
Deadlock, however, doesn't seem to represent a core ideology. So I wouldn't be surprised if when OW caught some of them the others ran. Especially since McCree would probably still be pretty low in the pecking order at the time.
Can you imagine a shoot out in the warehouse tho, that'd be so risky people could be anywhere and there's no good line of sight except for where the truck drives through. Sneaky teen McCree climbing around and ish
Do you expect/hope for the origin on any mementos to be revealed?
My only idea is his iconic BAMF belt buckle. We know he's had it for quite a while since he wears it here:
Tumblr media
Just  thought Blizzard could do something cute with it if they wanted.
Do you have any thoughts on the Deadlock Torb skin?
Idk, this is kinda silly but people have talked about it. People do have a good point that it’s odd for him to have that skin.
Lastly, do you have any little head canons that you hope to see confirmed?
Nothing serious just simple personal hopes from the cinematic which may or may not set you up for disappointment cause fun
(When I first started writing this I had two questions, rip. I'm pretty sure I forgot one of the original questions too)
Other Blizzcon Lore Speculation
Do you have any ideas for the new hero?
Personally, I do not have any super strong theories but I do have a few loose ideas. Tbh, I can’t especially convince myself of any these besides the likelihood of said character being a tank.
A.) Talon Tank
Reasons:
Moira’s origin story contains two possible indicators towards this, or another Talon member in general.
We need another main tank added to the roster (opinion)
Talon has a character for every role except tanking (weak)
Popular request (weak)
My Logic lacking- Majority of this idea comes from Moira’s origin story which shows this relatively well known photo with a person or armored suit of some kind on the back panel here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I used to think of this to be much harder evidence than I do now since it looks like it could be a uncolored design used for the Talon members in Retribution. However, there’s another detail in the photo (including the version with the different back panel that I believe could point to another member. Each character, excluding Moira, has their line of sight going to the same spot. My doodles for emphasis:
Tumblr media
(Reaper is kind of hard to tell but that’s basically his entire role in Talon at this point, lol) Who are they all looking at? This could just be an artistic choice for viewer immersion but it also could be rather purposeful. To me, it looks like a proposition to someone, with the panel in the back for emphasis. If not a proposition, perhaps the workings of a plan or setting clear expectations for said person. (either version works for this context) This someone must be rather important to have them all there. Moira is looking back at the rest of them, seemingly reading their expressions/body language. She seems pleased but then again she’s a tad bit odd.
B.) Mystery Characters
Idek, I added this cause I could. This is not likely at all but will remain on the list of possibilities as long as Overwatch shall live.
Have been shown or spoken of very early on but nothing since
Recently mentioned names but no physical hints of who/what they are
Tying up some long held questions (weak)
Popular demand (weak)
My logic (or lack there of) - I have exactly one tiny speck of logic for this. Mystery characters shown and/or spoken of before the cancellation of the First Strike comic are still occasionally brought up to the OW team. Yet they have conveniently  not retconned them.  Why not say they are no longer a significant part of the story when there has been no updates on them for 2ish years? Maybe they are just keeping the possibility open. Liao and the two from Ana’s origin story are the best (only?) examples:
Tumblr media
There is also more recently mentioned characters such as Ray and Fio. Ray was discussed mostly early this year and all we know about them is the following:
Tumblr media
We do not know anything else about who or what Ray is. I do not 100% believe Ray is an actual person but you never know. The comment on the beard and his response to has Ray’s combat experience could be some teasing on Michael Chu’s part. To me, Ray is either a person, an omnic, or some sort of computer system used in the Orca.  I should note that another AI other than Athena would seem odd especially with the whole reason OW formed and all.
(Fio I have already discussed but at least we know she’s an actual person, hopefully...OW is weird man)
What do you think of the common theory of Sanjay Korpal being the next hero?
Personally, I think he lacks the look of an OW character. He looks rather plain to me, almost like a background character used to fill up comic space. I do believe his role is going to grow substantially in the lore but as an in game hero? Eh, I don’t know. Another thing I struggle with imagining is him being a tank like a lot of people presume. It would be interesting with what Vishkar can do with hard light technology to have a tank based on that, I will admit. Just don’t see him filling the role of that, he doesn’t strike me as someone who wants to get his hands dirty. I will admit, that this is very strictly my opinion and read of his character and by no means is anything to go off of speculation wise.
But, if I’m wrong, then next years first cinematic should definitely be a Symmetra/Lucio one and it should definitely have Symmetra kiCKING HIS ASS FOR MANIPUlATING HER foR GOD KNOWs hOW LONG..ahem.
Do you think a comic will be released soon?
They usually put out comics on Wednesdays but they have been odd this year when it comes to them. Idk, if they’ll announce one at Blizzcon. I kinda doubt it. Personally, I’m hoping for a really kick ass Christmas comic since in Reflections it ended with Winston saying he has a good feeling for “next year” (OW’s next year cause timeline) plus last year’s was cute but underwhelming.
I think that’s all I have to ask/discuss for now? I had ideas keep popping up but I kept going back over what I already wrote and my attention span is all or nothing soooo there goes my ideas into the void.
***Random ass question cause you like RDR2. I keep getting a gamestop ad for it and it’s bugging me cause I can’t make out what this guy is saying. It sounds like “I don’t want to kill all you smooth dutch. Just you.” Idk where the exact video is rip, but I feel like I’m really mishearing the guy, lmao.
Non Sequiturs and Stupid Fangirl Squealing
(possibly completely incoherent warning idk how to wenglish when im excited pls ignore mw)
I saw a comic aart thing once and it had young jesse punch Jack in the face and Reyes thought it was the funniest thing and I feel like that’s in character
What if Reyes had a few choices on who to recruit and he was like I want the cowboy chose the instead of the trained older guys. Ana would be like Reyes no and Reyes would be like I want the damn cowboy
I never realised how much I appreciate McCree’s character until the hints of him having a short started popping up. Before I liked him sure, I just never thought too deep into how they could expand on his character. Originally I was just like, “so Reyes picked this kid out of a big ass gang and had him trained among the world’s most renowned soldiers and he still is perfectly content being a cowboy?” Good for you my dudely man, good for you,
wanna see skinny (lean)  young McCree but everyone will want the skin but it wont look the same with his in game model so blegh
I agree with you on how you think reyes recruited him, so many people think he just yeeted jesse at a bunch of angry omnics and was like lol have a cowboy
Imagine McCree being so confused by the weird ass original OW team like y there captain america, my new found father, a dwarf (swede) and an 8 ft german happy meal
He’d be so intimidated by Ana I bench lift Reinhardt for fun Amari being his coach like asdfsdf
But I think with her training it’d be the first real time he let his guard down without him realizing it because he was so in awe of her sniping skills and being able to get taught by her, bonding over shooting people half a continent away yAY
What if we see lil pharah??? I’ll die???
Okay I’ve said this to another  blog but even tho McCree is not my “type” I’m still gonna need to strap my ovaries in place for this short, cause booooooooyyyyyyyyy (I dont even have a type but I guess I mean a lil scruffy?)

Okay, wow this was quite a ride!!!! (Also, sorry this is so late!)
Hahaha! I know - and I wrote it!
Tumblr media
No worries! I am later responding to your reblog, so we're even! 😅 Life just has a habit of getting in the way at the moment, doesn't it lol
Excuse me?!?!
Drake I will slap you no matter how gorgeous your face is!
Lol yes - Drake is not being the best version of himself in this chapter (or the preceding one). Which is why I felt I needed to write an entire spiel about the emotional rationale behind his reactions - because it's not necessarily intuitive for (i) women to understand where he is coming from as a guy, or (ii) readers to understand why he is having such an explosive reaction when - from Harper's perspective - 'nothing' has happened. But, hopefully we can at least sympathise with him (if not necessarily emphathise / condone his behaviour).
Umm, well, I can't say I disagree with him on this
Yup - his Spidey-senses are on full alert with Chris at the moment
Tumblr media
Jealous, possesive Drake...
Yup! For whatever reason, it makes everyone (including Harper) be like...
Tumblr media
... even though we're all mad at him / want to slap some sense into him lol
HAH!
That gif! 🤣 And you're right - as much as she wants to, Harper cannot bring herself to say know (because... see above gif ☝️)
Hilarious! Bertie will have a fit though, and there no way she'll be able to go back to the event now
Tumblr media
Uhhh, who dose he think he is telling her what not to wear?!?!
It's another manifestation of that whole BDSM / need for control tendency that he has. On one hand, Harper not wearing any underwear is a massive turn-on for him (partially because guys - and Drake specifically - think it's sexy as hell, and partially because it's a subtle invitation / for-your-eyes-only secret that they have as a couple to keep things interesting).
But, on the other hand, as he implies, it is a kind of practical move as well because of the fact that they need to keep their relationship a secret, they will be very limited in their options for when / how they can have sex during the tour (generally outside of a bedroom), and it's much easier / faster if Harper is not wearing underwear / clothes with complicated closures because then Drake can just lift her skirt and away they go (and, conversely, tug the skirt down if they need to stop quickly b/c of unexpected company, without having to mess around with pulling up underwear, dealing with inciriminating panty lines, etc.)
Dude I think you hurt her more by blanking her then accusing her than this
Heh, probably 😅 But it's always going to be unnerving for a guy when they find themselves in this situation - so they're going to have a mini freak-out
Ugh, I agree with Harper!
The sad state of the world we live in... 😔 But Drake is right - emotional manipulation is very dangerous exactly because you don't realise that it is being done to you.
I'm so glad they finally talked though! 👍🏼💖
I think everyone is! 🤗 But... the tour has only just started, and they're nowhere near out of the woods yet!
Tumblr media
Thanks so much for reading, liking and commenting so emotively! I know this was an intense chapter to read, but Harper and Drake kinda needed to go through this as a couple, because they need to be able to trust each other, even though it is going to be extremely difficult...!

VAMPIRE KNIGHT FOR-- WELL, PEOPLE WHO DON'T WATCH IT
Alright! Since Eiri is a VK OC (and so are various of my other ones), I sometimes encounter the 'I want to RP with you but idk VK??' thing. I explained it to a few people before, and decided to just make a small post going over the structure of the VK world. I won't really focus on the characters; if you want to know more about those you can come into my inbox with questions (I'd suggest the wikia, but hey, GUESS WHAT? The non-rp VK fandom is immature and likes to put weird things in the character sheets of characters they don't like) which I'll then answer in the most unbiased way I can. I also won’t mention my OCs in here, because this is supposed to be a generic guide and not a ‘how to rp with my OCs’ guide.
                                              This WILL contain some spoilers:
But, without further ado, here goes! Note that this is all written rather quickly, so there will be typos and the likes, and I will add/remove things at a later date.
THE SETTING:
Humans are unaware unaware about vampires for the most part. Hunters and Vampires have strung up a shaky peace treaty to which both sides tend to stick with for the most part, and a small group of vampires/hunters have decided to aim for coexistence, which they start at the school of the ex-hunter Kaien Cross.
VAMPIRES:
Vampires are classified into various levels:
Level A - Purebloods :
These have 'pure' bloodlines. Throughout thousands of years, not a single drop of human bloof has been mixed in. There aren't a lot of Purebloods in the world; only 7 families exist anymore. These are the only vampires who are truly immortal and who can turn humans into vampires. Power-wise... they're very OP. Only a blow to the head or the heart with an anti-vampire weapon can truly kill them, but if they don't actually wish to die, you can generally forget about getting close enough to do that.
Everything about them is far superior to other vampires: senses, strength, speed, healing: even if they are dissolved to dust by another Pureblood, they can still heal from this.
They can also physically control lower level vampires and are considered vampire Royalty; vampires have a biologic reaction to them that makes them want to worship them, though it's something that willpower can overthrow.
Everything about them is considered 'precious' by vampires. Even injuring one and consuming their blood without being their spawn can lead to being killed.
Level B - Aristocrats :
These vampires have a little human blood in their blood line, but their blood is still pure enough to retain special powers (say, one can manipulate ice, another fire, another illusions, another lightning, etc-). Again, their senses and strengths surpass that of lower levels.
Level C - Commoners :
They were born as vampires, but there has been so much human blood mingled into their bloodlines that, apart from things such as speed, strength, enhanced senses and healing, there are no extra powers.
Level D - Ex-humans :
They used to be humans, but a Pureblood turned them and gave them their blood, stabilizing them. They are like a weaker version of level C vampires, and unable to kill their sire.
Level E - Level End :
They used to be humans, but the Pureblood who turned them didn't give them their blood. They can only fall into madness, attacking and killing on sight, draining from people without refrain. Again, they are unable to kill their sire.
THE VAMPIRE COUNSEL:
Depending on when exactly you RP, there either is a vampire counsel, or there isn't.
Many years ago, the royal Kuran family abolished the monarchy, setting in motion a vampire counsel to regulate peace between vampires and hunters.
The counsel is made up of various old aristocrats, but it ends up crooked - something that will eventually lead to their downfall at the end of the anime.
After that, the vampire world assumingly goes back to a monarchy under the lead of the Kuran family.
LEVEL E VAMPIRES:
The only way to 'save' these is for them to drink the blood of the Pureblood who sired them; just a drop is enough. A way to help them sustain their sanity a little longer is for another Pureblood to grant them some of their blood; it's a rare and unlikely occurrence - level E's are the filth of the vampire world. Even some Purebloods have taken to cleaning them up when they encounter them, to the dismay of the hunters.
HUNTERS:
Over 10 000 years ago, there was a large war between purebloods who wanted to turn all humans into their minions, turning them at will, and those who did not. Back then, humanity didn't have a way to fight vampires; no anti-vampire weapons existed to kill them yet.
Kaname Kuran and the Hooded Woman worked together against the vampires who sought to enslave humanity, finding a way to fight vampires: the hooded woman gave up her life, using her heart and throwing it into a furnace to create the weapons needed, and using her blood to create people who could wield these weapons.
Not everyone survived drinking the blood: but those who did became enhanced humans, with superior senses and abilities, though not as great as, say, a level C vampire.
These were the first hunters. All the hunters who came from them contain the same enhanced DNA with vampiric traces in it, and are able to wield anti-vampire weapons.
As a drawback, hunters became virtually incapable of birthing twins: the twins would often try to consume each other in the womb and die. In the event only one twin was consumed and one was born, this surviving child would be a hunter, far superior to other hunters (note: Kaien Cross, still remains exactly the same after hundreds of years and was known as one of the strongest hunters of all time, supposedly consumed his twin in the womb)
HUNTER MISSIONS:
As opposed to what some might think, hunters are, in fact, not allowed to kill any and all vampires they come across. As long as a vampire sticks to the rules (in the case of purebloods: you can't turn humans into vampires without permission, after explaining what will happen to them, and you will have to take whoever you turned under your wing. In the case of other vampires: you can't drink without permission. In both cases you can't attack humans, etc etc) a hunter will not be allowed to kill the vampire without consequences.
If a vampire breaks these rules, they will be added to 'The List', and will be hunted down to be killed.
Level E vampires are to be killed on sight, and most missions will resolve around these: they are unsalvageable; they have been abandoned by their sire. They can only get worse and lose their minds to madness: killing them swiftly is the kind thing to do.
Other missions can include things such as regulate vampires causing trouble (like scaring people, but not actually attacking them), or standing guard at soirees to ensure they are keeping to the rules.
CROSS ACADEMY:
Kaien Cross and Kaname Kuran are working together to ensure coexistence between the two races.
Kaname has called for a hand full of aristocrats that can be trusted to join him at the school in the Night Class; a study group for vampires.
Rules are strict for those who join: without permission they are not to leave the dorm grounds outside of class hours, they are not allowed to drink blood on campus; they are not allowed to attack the human (Day Class) students, etc etc.
Contact between day and night class is, for the most part, forbidden.
BLOOD TABLETS:
Blood tablets have been created as a way to sate the thirst of blood lust. They are known not to taste great, but the vampires who attend the school are testing them out and use them to sate the hunger.
Purebloods have different blood tablets than the other vampires, because their thirst is far greater (fortunately, so is their restraint).
PREFECTS:
Yuuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu, both living with Kaien Cross, are the prefects of the school: they regular the class exchange (the event of the night class going to school - which is always crowded with day class students trying to push closer towards them) and patrol to make sure no students are out.
There is more, but I’ll just leave this here for now and add to it later and reword some akward parts. Hopefully this will be good enough to help some of you on your way, at least.
