Before I die I want to bind some fanfictions. Its likely they will be completed before I go. I want to put them into books and pass them down to my children or maybe even have some stranger at my post mortem yard sale.

Maybe a teen girl will be half heartedly looking through a scattering of books on a plastic fold out table. She'll find Gideon The Ninth. And to many DnD books, The Player's Handbook being the only one with real signs of use.

And a book of modest size sitting amongst them.

Maybe I got fancy with it. Maybe I painted the cover. Or just put clearance Michael's lettering stickers as the title. Its probably purple.

She'll be intrigued. Shes jaded and bored but the mystery is there. She'll flip through. She'll see words that make no sense and the worst point of view you could write a book in.

But she'll take it home anyway. I wouldn't be mad if she stole it. I didn't bind it for profit I bound it for me. To read over and over.

Shes gonna read it. Shes gonna have no idea. Shes going to navigate the story as blind as the protagonist. She'll learn as she goes. And once she's read it through she'll read it again. Things will click when they didn't, small things will make more sense, and I'll be there reading over her shoulder in the same way.

Honestly she might just toss it or push it away to collect dust after the first chapter is too long or too confusing or too horny or too boring.

But she saw it. And that author got seen by one more person. I dont know.
