Almost didn’t manage to draw up anything for pride month, oops! Maybe I should do a pride moth as well (thanks autocorrect)

Didn’t turn out the way I intended, but it doesn’t matter because loons are always a win.

99% watercolor with some colored pencil details that you can’t really see. Gotta get the rust out somehow.

so i had a thought after buying a dragon from a friend

bruce the parrotlet and his "eating dome"

#flight rising #was solely bc the dragon i bought which was supposed to look like a volcano had berry firebreather #so after thinking abt it i was reminded of Bruce and his eating dome #surprised i didn't find a dragon referencing this tbh #was gonna see if i can find a breed that eats plants and use that when i get the project going #but coatl is bird-like to me bc it has fully feathered wings hence the example being a coatl lol #would have to rent a shadow nest later to get the eye color right once i get close ranges to lend but that's for later me to figure out

#I MAY HAVE GOTTEN A LITTLE SILLY WITH DISCORDS DESIGN #like his original design makes sense because its described as mostly pony with a bunch of other things thrown in. cause yknow chaos #and I dont have a problem with it but I wanted to try something else #mostly riffing off of daycare attendent and the collector. but I like the idea of his colors mismatching when using magic #like the dark blue spots become orange and vice versa. it looked really cool in my head #fluttershys bat design partly inspired by the Honduran white bat and ghost bats #I like the idea that they turn her back but she still has bat wings hidden under her feathers. makes her a quiet flyer shrugs #and I have never ever seen a single drawing of flutterbat with a bat nose and its a crime #also they r very cute to me. tbh I couldn’t for the life of me pick a color palette I liked And Render it so I gave up on color. Enjoy the half assery.

Tbh I’ve just been call it Ithacan Naga, but it’s objectively it’s a mix of snake, owl/bird, and human. So 🤷.

Tbh the wings are supposed to be white/gray-brown, cause owls & Hermes, while his scales are supposed to be an oscillating scale from sea green-blue to purple-tinted gray. Uhm. Evidently that sorta didn’t happen but also did. So.

The purple/grayer scales are gonna be more around with the feathers and wings.

Those fin colors are. Too blue and too bright but I love the colors themselves so they’re staying for now.

Uhm. That’s it for now, ig. I’m sorta on a timer rn and I’m tired so <3

Hell yeah.

You gave me a wildcard warriors ask without any character request, which means i can choose, so i'll go excessive and present you: my color headcanons for the entire Sun Trail travelling group!

I tried to stay as close to their canon description as i could, and at the same time make everyone unique.

Our protagonists: Gray Wing, Clear Sky and Jagged Peak; blue, blue ticked tabby and blue blotched tabby. (Their mother Quiet Rain is a blue spotted tabby for me. Very blue family.)

The girlies: Bright Stream (black mackerel tabby bicolor) and Turtle Tail (black tortoiseshell blotched tabby bicolor; she's heterozygous for white spotting)

Black leadership: Shaded Moss, Tall Shadow, Moon Shadow - obviously the latter two has the same color, but i'm sure we could make them unique enough with different body shapes and eye colors.

Medicine gang: Dappled Pelt - black tortoiseshell (she has white spotting only on illustrations, never is the text*, and i wanted a tortie without white in the cast), Cloud Spots - black with white (white ears are unusual but not impossible, can be added)

*well, except for one time in Moth Flight's Vision, where she supposed to have "Orange-and-white fur". I declared that one a mistake. Even the alligances call her tortoiseshell, never tortoiseshell-and-white)

Background warriors with awesome names: Rainswept Flower (black spotted tabby), Quick Water (blue mackerel tabby with white), Shattered Ice (blue tabby harlequin)

Youngsters: Falling Feather (white), Jackdaw's Cry (black, which is unfortunate, but i'd give him a blue eyes mutation which would put some white on his muzzle), Hawk Swoop (red mackerel tabby; i could keep her kits more canon-compliant if i'd make her a tortie, but she's the only red cat in the group and I want to have one).

Bonus:

Bumble (black tortie tabby with white - i purposefully made her echo Turtle Tail's colors) and Storm (she gets a fun color because this way Thunder can inherit every allele he needs: black tortoiseshell silver blotched tabby with with white).

#I am still deeply stuck in the huh? hwah? stage but I think I at least found a presentation I'm happy with #so ig that's the last gog au post from this blog (I still will reblog upcomming art and tagg them adequately so there is no real loss lmao)#now here comes the usual “man idk” speech #species are still more or less randomly picked.
