YES YES YES THAT FEUD HAD SO MANY FACETS TO IT IT WAS SO INTENSE... my fav part of it was how akira, who'd previously been very alone in his feud with brian, was growing to trust others to look out for him and allow himself to rely on others sometimes with titus worldwide, finding a sense of family and community in the process. once akira stopped trying to do everything on his own, and let others reach out to him, he became strong enough to defeat neville and that is

god what makes me so so so happy is seeing akira now, surrounded by friends, because that all stems from learning to trust people and build a community with titus worldwide!!! the way he works with mustafa and with cedric, he’s constantly just finding reasons to hug them or let them know what he’s up to, he does the same with kalisto and with any partner he has, he has SO MUCH LOVE in his sweet heart and we got to see him learn to express that!!!!!!!!!

AND THE WAY HE LEARNED FROM TITUS WHEN IT’S BETTER TO TAP THAN TO DIE FIGHTING...his feud within his title feud, with ariya, where he sacrificed his shoulder to win a few times, that was ALSO masterfully done, and 1) ariya is a really really good person to have establishing fights with? like, he rarely gets proper feuds but he’s gone against neville and akira and jack and kalisto and helped them really get their grounding on 205 or in the title picture OR like, in neville’s case, as someone who can lose to people just like any of his subjects on technicalities, like, ariya is underappreciated in my HUMBLE imo and i love him and i loved his feud with akira and with neville, 

and 2) as much as i’m still upset about that 6 day title reign, for many reasons, including the derailing of a story arc 205 had been building for months because vince wanted to “shake things up”, i feel like there’s no better way for akira’s time in the title picture to end than...with him tapping out against a foe he’s fought and known and learned to begrudgingly respect. akira learning it’s okay to tap out and to recover and to let people take care of him is a HUGE step for his character, and it was just so so beautifully done, and i would lasso the moon from the sky for him if he gave the word!!!
