Re: The 7x10 Intervention- 1). Fitz did NOT kidnap Liv and take her to Vermont. He asked her if she wanted to go up there and she said yes, happily so. 2). Fitz is NOT holding Liv hostage in Vermont like she was held hostage in the Red Doored Bunker of DOOM from Season 4B. If she really, really wants to leave, she’ll find a way (probably with Joke’s or Rowan’s ‘help’) and he won’t stop her once everyone gets to say their piece. 3). Fitz most certainly is NOT ‘removing her Agency’ by confronting her head on about her Evil Lady Rowana of the Sith actions with her remaining family & friends in tow. He’s actually acknowledging and respecting it by giving Liv a chance to own what she’s done or to stay in denial about it all. 4). Fitz is not the devil for doing what has needed to be done for years. Fitz isn’t the devil at all. Thanks to ‘The Titan’, the fucking devil in this whole, ugly, SENSELESS, situation is Olivia Carolyn Pope! It’s HER, not Fitz, not anyone else & you know it!
I haven’t cared enough about the show to really give y’all a Special Edition Trumpetnista Rant like this on here or Twitter in a long time but I get tired of dealing with hardheaded people. I get tired of seeing my friends having to deal with hardheaded people, especially since they’re the same idiots spewing the same shit in a different key and tempo every. single. year.
This rant isn’t too long but it is very savage towards Liv to the point of bashing and there are a lot of swear words so feel free to ignore this altogether or to skip to the end. I put a TL:DR thing just in case.
Ready?
Here we go...
Tumblr media
Olivia has fallen further into the Dark than anyone on the show, even Rowan’s bitch ass, and she needs to be stopped. And when you love someone? When you really, really love someone? You don’t let them stay broken and dark and fucked up. Not without a fight.
Fitz is doing exactly what needs to be done and he’s risking it all. Olivia could (and will likely) not listen to him or anyone else there and she’ll flounce off and stay dark and likely end Olitz for good and y’know what? That’s fine. I mean, it’s NOT because we deserve to see Olitz be happy solo and together after the steaming pile of shit Shonda has dragged us through for the last 6 years in the name of “taking back the show” and the vaunted “Journey” she goes on and on about but it’s come to the point where the ball truly is in Liv’s court. It’s in her hands and the clock is running down to the wire.
If (when) Olitz is not together in SCANDAL’s endgame, it is thoroughly Olivia’s fault and y’all will not have her avoid the ultimate L she has earned. It doesn’t work like that. Y’all can’t say that she has Agency that needs to be protected & then not hold her accountable for her colossal fuck ups. You just can’t.
Fitz has put in the work to be a better man solo and to be a better partner in a relationship. He’s far from perfect but he’s doing the damned thing. He’s free and he’s ready to be happy.
On the other hand, Olivia hasn’t done shit to make herself better or she has but she backtracks the moment things get complicated and it’s sad and ridiculous and it needs to stop. She is sad and ridiculous and she needs to stop, one way or the other.
I’d love for the Intervention to work but if doesn’t, that’s what death is for.
If this Intervention doesn’t work, if she stays dark to the bitter end, if this is really where Olivia Pope’s character arc is gonna end up, then she’s got to go. I don’t want it to be long and drawn out but she’s gotta get a bullet to the head or a terminal disease diagnosis or something else tragically Rhimesian to put her in the grave to rot for SCANDAL’s endgame in April. I never thought I’d say that and truly mean it, even after the debacle that ‘At Last’ turned out to be but here we are...floating in space...
Olivia Pope needs to be stopped.
She needs to stop.
Most of all, though?
Every idiot in or around this fandom needs to stop.
It’s the last season and we’ve got enough shit to deal with, all right?
Shut the fuck up with your Fitz hate, your pearl clutching Scarlett O’Hara-esque defense of “poor Mellie”, your Ballard & Rowan apologist/stanning think pieces, your love of Shonda’s twisted and skewed version of feminism and everything else that you’re loud and wrong about. It’s exasperating and then, you’re the ones who get the most attention from the Powers that Be so they pander to you and fuck the rest of us over.
You’re obnoxious and wrong.
You’re making the rest of us look bad.
It’s tacky, you’re tacky, & I hate you.
The remaining fandom/ex-Gladiators with common sense hate you, too.
Seriously, we’re all like:
Tumblr media
So, just stop.
Please stop and please shut up.
Shut up, pack your things, and LEAVE or if you’re not going to leave, stop interacting with people who you know don’t agree with you and stop being shocked when you get dragged for not staying in your Lane. Don’t come out here showing your ass and expecting not to get this in response:
Tumblr media
TL:DR- Joke Bastard does not love Olivia Pope. Even if (when) Olitz breaks up for good, Ojoke is NOT going to happen. They’re not gonna be endgame. They’re not even gonna fuck again at this rate (thank God) and you can go cry in the corner about it. Why is this still even a thing? Why in the world would you want Liv with him? She doesn’t deserve that, even after all of the horrible shit she has done and ordered to be done. If you say that she deserves to be sunburnt and bruised by Joke Bastard for the rest of her life, I’ma cut you.
Rowan Pope does not love Olivia Pope. He is a horrible father. He is a horrible sperm donor. He is a beast in human skin. He doesn’t care about anyone or thing but himself. It doesn’t matter that he’s showing a hint of humanity now that Liv’s become a vessel for his POWER demon. He’s still a piece of shit. He’s not a steaming piece of shit with flies buzzing around it but he is still a piece of shit that needs to be scooped or hosed off the pavement.
Hell, at this point, Olivia Pope does not love Olivia Pope.
Just look at all the choices she’s made and tell me otherwise.
I wish you could but you can’t.
Fitzgerald Thomas Grant III loves Olivia Pope.
Fitzgerald Thomas Grant III adores Olivia Pope and wants the best for her, even if it means that they can’t be together. He is willing to break his own heart (a-gain) to see Olivia Pope get help and get better.
He wants to help her, not hurt her.
The Intervention is his last ditch effort to save her from herself and if (when) it doesn’t work, it is not his fault. It is Olivia’s.
So, leave him the fuck alone and get out of here with this nonsense.
Let’s just...let’s use our brains. Let’s use our critical thinking skills. Let’s suspend enough disbelief enjoy what’s left of the show in peace, all right? That’s all I’m asking and that ain’t too much. It’s really not. Come on, people. We’re all adults here or old enough to know better...I hope.
Oh, and by the way? Those who are coming for Katie for speaking the truth about what Olivia Pope currently deserves need to have several seats. Like a stadium’s worth. All she did was tell the truth and at least she didn’t say death. I said death and meant it. Although, ending up all alone could be a better punishment...hmmm...
Something to think about.
Hope for the best, expect and accept the worst, folks.
That’s the best policy right now.
Trumpetnista, out.

Hooked
introduction pt. i | pt. ii | pt. iii
ch. xxxv - NYOOOOOOM
<< previous | masterlist | next >>
??? × reader, ateez × reader
A freshman hookup rekindled into something new. With an incentive, of course. But what would happen if your 'relationship' led you somewhere you never thought would happen to you ?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wooyoung and Yeosang were rushing you into the frat as quick as they could. Wooyoung carrying your bag and Yeosang practically hauling you away.
When you entered the frat, you could see that every single one of them is sitting around the living area. Some were seated on the couch as some were on the floor.
At the sight of you entering, their eyes lit up and smile bloom on their faces automatically.
"Is this an intervention?" you asked, walking slowly to where they are, slightly wary of the situation as they would rarely gather together to talk. More often than not, all communication happens in the group chat.
"Because I swear I'll return all your shirts and hoodies," you said, scrunching your nose in nervousness.
Mingi stood up and glomped onto you, nestling his face into the crook of your neck. He had to hunch because he's way taller than you. "You can take our clothes any time you want, this is not an intervention," he mumbled into your skin before detaching and planting a soft peck on your forehead, "missed you," he grinned.
You instinctively held onto Mingi's ring and pinkie as he led you to sit on the available spot at the left end of the U-shaped couch.
"So? Who wants to start?" Yunho asked, breaking the initial building silence.
The boys looked at each other for a bit before their eyes slowly zeroed in on Hongjoong. At the sudden attention, Hongjoong's eyes widened for a split second before scoffing, "one of you better start because I'm not doing it," he said, crossing his arms.
"But you're the leader," Yeosand stated matter-o-factly with a straight face. The others nodding along, agreeing to what Yeosang said.
Hongjoong grumbled at the fact that they're ganging up on him, using his own title against him. This is one of the rare few times he regretted having his title and even using it to his own advantage sometimes. The K in karma stands for Kang Yeosang, it seems.
You pursed your lips, still nervous and slightly uneasy. Historically, when a person is called by a group or collective, it was never for good reasons.
"So, (Y/N)," Hongjoong started, looking directly at you as his fingers fiddled slightly with the rings in his fingers, "do you like being with us?" he asked.
You visibly swallowed the lump in your throat. You couldn't help but feel like they're kicking you out, or the board is making them kick you out, that's the only reasonable explanation to the opening question Hongjoong threw at you, right?
Unconsciously, you leaned closer to Mingi for security and held his fingers tighter. Mingi thought nothing much of it. "Well, I like you guys like a lot, and living with you all has been great! More than great, actually, I never really had a roommate and initially the thought of having 8 roommates scared me especially because well you're guys and guys tend to be dirty and all, but it turns out you guys are freaking awesome, and I couldn't ask for better roommates honestly," you rambled, grinning awkwardly at them.
Most of them had a look of confusion on their faces. They didn't know why you were talking about your living situation when they're obviously asking about something much more substantial than that.
"(Y/N), sweetie," Seonghwa called out, "we're... glad that you're happy living with us here and we honestly wouldn't want it any other way," "wait, so this is not about anyone having a problem with me living here for quite some time now?" you asked, cutting Seonghwa off.
Wooyoung gasped loudly at your question, "no, it's not, sweetie, believe me! Who'd make you feel this way?" he then snapped his head to San who's sitting next to him, "was it you!?" he asked dramatically, holding onto the collars of San's hoodie, "fuck you, if anyone would've made her uncomfortable, it would've been you with your incessant claim on her as her boyfriend which is as true as Yeosang being able to pop unicorn horn from his ass!" San retorted back, grabbing onto Wooyoung's collars as well.
Seonghwa and Yunho immediately jumped up and separated the two, sitting them in next to Jongho and Yeosang who had been snickering at the childish argument.
Once they both calmed down, they all shifted their attention back to you. "We weren't talking about our living situation at all, we're kind of... needing to ask you something important..." Yunho said, trailing off to look at the others as if in confirmation.
No longer feeling nervous, you just shrug at them all, "okay, shoot."
Though you asked them to talk, they all stay glancing at each other. Even Wooyoung, the most confident man you possibly have ever known, couldn't look you directly in the eyes without blushing.
After a while, the tension didn't seem to dissipate and it started to bug you. "Oh, come on! You guys have seen me naked, what could you all possibly have to say that made you all sweating like an old man in a sauna?" you grumbled, crossing your arms on your chest.
Jongho cringed at your words, "don't put you and a sweaty old man in the same sentence, that image's gonna haunt me for weeks," he complained. San stared at him weirdly, "why would you even think about a sweaty old man?" "It's called prompting," "It's called nasty,"
Yeosang exhaled sharply, bringing everyone's attention to him, "since none of you seems to want to seriously ask her, I'll do it," he glared at the other boys before looking straight at you, "how do you feel, non platonically, about all of us?" he asked directly.
While you tilt your head in confusion, everyone else in the room seemed to broke into a meltdown altogether. Some were covering their faces in their hands, others were slumping so lowly on the couch their asses were basically on the floor.
"I... honestly haven't really thought about it," you shrugged, furrowing your eyebrows, "but I can't say I'm not attracted to all of you, sure we're friends and this might be just a fascination thing, but I really can't deny that I definitely feel something for you guys," you continued.
When they heard you say that, they visibly relaxed.
"That's good, because, well..." Yeosang trailed off, waiting for someone else to say it as a rosy tint bloomed on his face, showcasing his bashfulness to everyone.
Thankfully, Hongjoong stepped up and continued Yeosang's sentence, "because we, all eight of us, also can't deny that we feel something for you," he smiled shyly.
Seeing the boys all soft and shy made you giggle. Butterflies formed in your stomach and you had to admit that you like the thought of all of them liking you more than on a platonic level.
"So... every single one of you has feelings for me?" you asked, trying to make sure before you made your conclusion. All eight heads nod and you can't help but to focus on Jongho and Mingi, "you both too?" you asked them both, eyes darting between the two.
While Jongho grinned cockily and nod, Mingi covered his face with one hand in embarrassment, "yeah, kind of," he mumbled. You giggled and reach to try to pry his hand from his face, wanting to see how he look, "when did you start feeling like that, huh? I thought you only think of me as a stress reliever," you whined but eventually succeeding in prying his hand off.
Mingi raised an eyebrow at you, "the fact that we've been sleeping together combined with how amazing you are, it was never about if I'd fall for you, it was about the when," he said. You couldn't help but blush at his words, "so you liked me because we were fuck buddies?" "it sounds bad when you put it like that, but I was intrigued when I first met you which is why I approached you,"
You then shifted your gaze to the others, "When did you all realize you like me?" you asked, "as cliche as it sounds, it was the night we all did it together," Yunho answered.
"Not me," Wooyoung said, raising a hand, "I realized it like a solid couple of weeks after we started our whole fake relationship thing," he grinned proudly, "I began liking the way I call you my girlfriend more than I would like to admit, but I couldn't think of another person more perfect for me than you,"
It was your turn to melt. You covered your face in embarrassment, letting out a muffled squeal at how cheesy Wooyoung's words are. The others chuckled at how adorable you're being.
"You know, the eight of us talked about it before you came back here," Hongjoong said. You calm yourself down before being able to look at him directly in the eyes again, "and... we just wanted to know whether or not you'd like to date us,"
You tilted your head to the side, "like... All nine of us? One girl and eight boys?" you asked, making sure you're not hearing things wrong. But all of them nodded firmly. "It's not orthodox, I'd have to admit, and usually we would each try to win you over for only one of us, but when we were together last time, it just felt natural and I can't speak for these guys, but I didn't feel jealous whatsoever, because I know that you deserve more than just what I could and am willing to give you, and they can fill in where I lack because you deserve nothing but the best," Seonghwa said. He had somehow moved to kneel in between your legs, hands rubbing your knees gently as his eyes shone what you could only describe as pure affection and adoration.
The others piped in agreement with the eldest. It seemed like they know what they're doing and what they want. So the ball was in your court.
On one hand, you adore them to the heavens and back, you couldn't possibly think of having things any other way. And the thought of having to choose between them doesn't sit right with you. Sure, you're just one person, but you're sure if they're right, things will be okay.
But on the other hand, Seonghwa was right, this is highly unorthodox. Sure, you've heard of poly relationships here and there, heck one of your classmates' sister is in a poly relationship with three girls. But you can't deny you live in a society that's filled with judgment and harsh criticism, more than yourself, you're worried about how going down this path would affect them. And besides, how did one went from not wanting to even have random hookups due to wanting to have a relationship with 8 guys?
"See the look on her face? The wheels are turning in there," you heard Jongho muttered to the rest of them who had moved to kneel in front of you somewhere during your thoughts.
You glared at him shortly before pouting, "I do want to know if there could be something more to this," you started. The boys were about to celebrate when you cut them off, "BUT, I'm not sure on how this is gonna be, let's face it, you guys seemed to realize that you like me after we had sex," "I didn't," Wooyoung cut you off which was immediately shut by Yeosang, putting a hand over his mouth, "feelings tend to mash then and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the sexual pull talking," you sighed.
Their shoulder seemingly slumped hearing you say that. They didn't even discuss that, they were pretty sure that they genuinely like you and want to be more with you. Maybe they didn't want what you said to even be a possibility.
Suddenly, San perked up, "wait, if what you're worried about is whether or not our feelings are the real deal or not, then why don't you just test it? You can just decide later if we're gonna officially date or not. Take things slowly, you know?" he grinned brightly.
Slowly, each of the boys' eyes widened and shone with hope, thinking that San's plan is actually probable.
"Finally, San said something fucking smart for once," Yunho muttered, earning a harsh nudge to his hip by a glaring San.
The idea wasn't bad. It was actually good. This way, all of you can be sure and there would be no regrets, no one got hurt.
You squint your eyes at him, "but what would that make us?" "that's the beauty of it, there would be no official title until we make our decision," he said proudly. You pursed your lips, feelings swaying and leaning on the positive, "and how long do I have to make a decision?" this time, Yeosang answered, "as long as you need, we won't rush you," he smiled gently at you, making your stupid heart flip.
The idea WAS appealing, it was a win-win for sure.
When a smile broke on your face, the boys had to hold themselves together to let you confirm their suspicion.
"I'm in, let's try and see where we all can go,"
Before you could even take a breath after answering, the boys had pulled you forward in a giant group hug on the floor. You found yourself squished by eight men who are hollering, cheering, trying to kiss you, and trying to hold onto you as tightly as possible. While the position was uncomfortable, you couldn't care less.
Because being in the centre of them all felt right. It felt like you belong.

The Walking Dead: Faith (11x22)
Y'all, we are so close to this show being over. The end is in sight. I can hardly believe it.
Cons:
I knew we were in trouble when I saw how Negan-heavy this episode was. I just don't feel invested in him and his new wife and the baby on the way. I keep saying it over and over, this is never going to be super compelling to me, unfortunately. There are little sparks of interest with Ezekiel, which surprised me, but ultimately no. This whole plot thread with the work crew standing up to some random evil minion of the Commonwealth whose name I don't even know, just feels like time wasted. There were so many turns here where at first we're supposed to think Negan is going to betray Ezekiel to save his own skin, but of course he doesn't. Then we're supposed to think Negan is going to be killed by firing squad, but of course he isn't. Our other heroes show up just in time to save the day, and I found myself yawning. Shouldn't there be more tension here?
Meanwhile in Alexandria, Maggie is reunited with Hershel but all the other children are still missing so we have to drag out this rescue operation for next week. Again, I'm sorry, I know I sound awful but - I don't care about Hershel and Maggie that much. Maggie has been gone from the show for so long, and honestly it doesn't feel like she ever quite came back, does it? I don't know her anymore. I don't feel connected to her and her emotional journey. I want Judith back, honestly.
I similarly felt absolutely no joy or spark of enjoyment with the Oceanside crew. Aaron and the others randomly find Luke and Jules (I had to look up their names, it's been so long), and we learn that Oceanside is no more, taken over by the Commonwealth. Okay... that's not exactly a plot twist at this point, is it? I'm so tired.
And then we've got Eugene's trial. When you know the whole thing is rigged, spending time in the actual courtroom part of things feels like a real waste of time. I'm normally such a sucker for a courtroom drama, and as I've said, Eugene has really grown on me as a character in recent seasons, but even so, I could not make myself feel invested in this. I knew how it was going to go: things would get real tense, all would seem lost, we'd see Eugene resigned to his fate, and then a last-minute intervention from someone would change everything. Turns out that intervention comes from Mercer. I like him, I'm glad he's helping, but man, couldn't his turn have been at the midpoint of this episode, instead of dragging things out even further?
Pros:
The thing about this show, the thing that the writers should have realized years ago, is that the only people still watching who actually give a shit, are here for the character moments. The things we've been waiting a decade plus to see. I continue to be frustrated and annoyed at how little of the characters I personally care about are being highlighted, but in this episode as in most episodes of late-game The Walking Dead, it was the character moments that I liked. Not all of them, not even most of them: if you couldn't tell, this was not my favorite episode. But still, there were some tidbits.
Connie and Kelly reuniting was really sweet, as was Daryl getting the kill on that random bad guy to save Kelly's life at the last second. As bored as I am of Negan, I did kind of like Ezekiel's bad-ass moment of walking in front of the would-be executed, trying to make a play for peace. I liked the character beat of Rosita realizing Coco was still missing, I thought her whole vengeance killing was really intense and the only visceral reaction I got out of the whole episode was watching her use a Walker as a weapon to kill the man who is keeping her from her daughter. I also liked Carol and Maggie's conversation about whether or not it's selfish to bring kids into this world. I've already said I'm bored with Maggie, but I'm not bored with Carol, so I thought that worked pretty well. And I like Eugene. I like Yumiko. I like Max. The plot was stupid, but I am endeared to these characters fighting for a better future, all the same.
So that's that. This was not a strong episode, I'm tired, I'm bored. Two weeks from now, I shall be free at last.

My Final Thoughts on 7x09 (taken from Shattering’s latest A/N...)
7x09 was a confusing clusterfuck and the only good things to come from it are A) Quinn Perkins is NOT dead (which honestly, we all called but it was still a relief to be right, given how much Shonda LOVES babies & happiness) and B) THE INTERVENTION FOR WHAT’S LEFT OF OLIVIA POPE IS NIGH AND NEIGH! I swear to God, the fact that 7x10 is gonna have everyone that matters, IN VERMONT, SPEARHEADED BY FITZ, is what made me go from “FUCK THIS FUCKING CONFUSING ASS, DUMB ASS BULLSHIT” to ‘It’s about time AND THEY BETTER DO IT RIGHT.”
Credit where credit is due: Rowan and Quinn’s performances were on point. I could’ve done without Rowan’s ranting and raving (is he finally losing what’s left of his shit in a way that will get him dead? Please say yes...) but Quinn? Oh, my God...she fucking killed it. She really, really killed it AND she was a reminder of just who truly matters in the SCANDAL-verse right now. Every hallucination she had, every Plan of action she came up with had the surviving Gladiators, Charlie, David, and Marcus in play and they all helped save her. Mellie who? Ballard who? Hell, I’m pretty sure that if there had been enough time, Fitz would’ve been there too because Quinn likes Fitz. Everyone with half a brain and fully functioning conscience does, which is where I’m a tad bit worried about 7x10.
Fitz IS needed to spearhead the Intervention. Fitz IS needed to put Liv back in touch with her humanity and all the good & bad that comes with it BUT at the end of the day? It’s all Liv’s choice. It’s Liv’s choice and she’s been walking around with maybe one-quarter of her brain working and a conscience that’s deader than Blockbuster Video and JNCO jeans combined. It’s all Liv’s choice right now from root to tip and I’m not sure that, even with the Intervention from people who love her that she’s gonna choose right at all or before the last 30 mins-30 seconds of the Series Finale in April. I don’t have much faith in her. Don’t blame me. Blame Shonda.
We have to see. There’s a little bit of hope but that doesn’t mean shit. It’s all about what we see live and I’m hoping for the best but expecting the worst.  That’s the best policy with SCANDAL since Season 3A being generous and it’s worked this long. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
