what about the earlier shinki, without experience or strength to be the war god's weapons, who had to be used by her until she found a more fitting weapon? were there any scissors or kitchen knives that had to be used to kill ayakashi? with no other options bishamon would settle, and kazuma, just recently out of the woods and extremely protective of his god, would just wield them like atomic weapons. would they every now and then talk to newest regalia about the true power of their Guide or would they keep quiet

Ever since I watched it about two months ago I've been thinking permanently about this years Oregon Shakespeare Festival production of Macbeth having Norse mythology inspirations. Thinking about banquos ghost having deer antlers. How the Norse deer god Eikthyrnir sits at the gates of Valhalla-the afterlife of warriors. How he classically represents balance, the natural order and in some interpretations the connection between death, birth and fertility . Okay. Whatever. Whatever deer antlers Banquo. Whatever Banquos walking memeory being a reminder of the balance Macbeth is disrupting and the circle of death and birth the Macbeths were never able to fulfill first through their lack of child then through their taking of life. Thinking about Duncans costume having a FUCKING EYEPATCH as part of his design which I only clocked as an Odin reference weeks later. i'm kind of on the fence at this point whether or not if ashley has a crush on leon. because it really feels like some people interpret ashley's interactions as only friendly. especially since leon does not reciprocate anything other than just being friendly. he doesn't reciprocate anything that could be interpreted as flirting, and he flat out ignores her at a lot of the time.

he's nice to her sometimes but those are at times of extreme duress where he needs her to kinda chill the fuck out

BUT that being said, ashley also is quick to see that leon has some sort of prior relationship with ada, but she's unsure what it is. and the implications of it is that she does find out a bit more, but doesn't tell leon or is questionable about his actions when ada leaves the island without them.
