Summary: The reader lives with her parents at a fancy chateau, in France.  This year, her father offers their home as a housing sanctuary to a select student or graduate.  He decides to invite two graduate students to live with their family over the summer, coming from different working class backgrounds, and help with their academic paperwork as a professor of archaeology.

Steve Harrington: a rich kid from a swanky boarding school with a bad boy reputation and too much charm for his own good.  Surprisingly, his grades say otherwise.  A’s and B’s, his parents claim that is seeking one-on-one tutoring so that he can progress in his studies — but it sounds more like an excuse to ship him off for longer periods of time, giving them an out for having their son around during the summer.  The pretty boy’s all about ladies…but that’s only because he hasn’t met a boy who awakens his bisexuality.  Yet.

Jonathan Byers: a kid from the lower working class, excelling in his studies and AP programs at the same boarding school as Steve which he only got into because of community sponsorship and grants.  Quiet wallflower, little to no friends, a bit cynical.  A closeted gay, he’s more determined to stick with being perceived as “ace” than come out of the closet.  Until he goes to stay at a chateau with a handsome boy, and a beautiful girl who understands him.

Twists, turns and terrifying risks, you all put your hearts on the line that summer at the Chateau. Add the reader's cousin Eddie into the mix, along with her best friend Robin, Steve's ex-girlfriend Nancy, Jonathan's estranged mother and your progressive parents alongside Steve's absent parents -- it's a cruel summer.

Thank you to James Stoteraux and Chad Fiveash for a fantastic finale. And to all the writers and cast and crew who made this beautiful DC series.

Season one gave us a taste of all the places this could go and what this show could be and it was SO GOOD I'm sorry there won't be more of it. There's only a few DC live action TV series that have worked for me over the years, Gotham Knights is among them.

"Batman chose well. Gotham needs its Robin." I LOVE this. Carrie's mom trusting her to look after herself, to stay alive, having seen her daughter in action as Robin, and asking her daughter to go save lives and trusting her to survive in return.

Commissioner Soto!! Knew!!! So...maybe she was the Gordon analogue in this continuity. All this time.

What finally made Harvey give himself over to the Two Face personality, what finally made him fully snap -- HE DID IT TO SAVE HIS DAUGHTER AND THOUSANDS OF LIVES IN GOTHAM. This is a really brilliant re-imagining.

With Turner's parents, I got that there was more to the story. Batman was defending himself from assassins. I didn't expect this version to have Batman actually have killed them, because the Batman doesn't kill idea is so seminal in most continuities including this one--this Batman also had the do not kill code.

He's a precise highly trained fighter, who has a strong code about not killing. So in that fight, something went wrong, he was in deadly peril, or, in defending himself, did something he didn't intend to be a kill, but wound up killing them.

Misha Collins and Olivia Rose-Keegan are hitting it out of the park in all their scenes. Duela with Harvey, Duela with Two Face, two very different dynamics and both riveting.

Misha getting to play Harvey as a regretful father who wants to save his daughter and thousands of lives and make amends and then Misha getting to play completely unhinged scarred, murderous Two Face and Misha floors it in both directions.

GIVE HIM AWARDS I'M NOT KIDDING HE DESERVES NOMINATIONS.

Sadly, because it's the CW network and a superhero show, the critical awards people won't even look at it. But I'm betting industry folks will take note anyway. Bravo, Misha.

I didn't expect Turner to actually be dead, and that tactical team had French accents so I expected Henri Ducard. Still enjoyed that reveal at the end. Guessing they're going with the comics background as inspiration (and would put their own twists on it--and not Nolanverse.) Henri Ducard trained Bruce Wayne. He's not a good guy, but he helped Bruce. I like how this show's plan was to have him train his son too.

And Turner, who wants to live up to his father's legacy, becomes a legacy and inspiration for his friends, to Duela, to keep fighting for Gotham, like Bruce did, like Turner wanted.

I can only guess what the S2 plans were. It's hinting Turner becoming a new kind of Batman eventually, not sure by S2.

The Knights are going to be pissed he didn't tell them he's alive.

The Two Face and Duela stories I'm sure would be riveting.

Steph/Harper and Duela/Turner getting more development and drama. Harper enrolling at Gotham Academy. Cullen would get a boyfriend.

Beyond that, it's a wild card. Two Face likely as a significant villain, but perhaps one who goes after other villains, who ultimately acts to preserve Gotham. Maybe some Owl remnants would be in play?

As it stands, I'm grateful. I got to have this, as a DC fan. I didn't go into this solely as a Misha fan. The bulk of my perspective of this show was as a DC fan, and it was good and I am going to keep saying it was good.

I love the team, I love its beautiful, candle-lit, aged, gothic, old stones and hidden dark corners and dirigibles and pre-war towers Gotham style. It gave, in my opinion, what is the best filmed take on Harvey Dent I've ever seen. The most nuanced and compassionate and unhinged and heartwrenching and frightening and gloriously fun to watch.

And it gave me this amazing and wonderful version of Carrie Kelley's Robin and I think I will miss her most of all.

The most important part is above, here is the part about me to make some things clear if anyone decides to check out my page. Chinese and English are not my native languages, but the way to survive and escape from my past life. I never received proper education related to languages, studying them mostly from the environment and people nearby, so please keep in mind that I may make mistakes in my meta posts.

The center of my interests is novels. I can't say that it only includes danmei. I really like Priest and my main dream is to read all her books… It's a long way, but I have faith. For now I'm taking a break, because reading books without translation takes a lot of time. I'll probably stay in the LinkClick fandom for a while... Maybe until the series is completed.

I love media industry from the production side, so for me fandom life is an attempt to understand the inner workings of the studios, the process, how you can break everything that happens in the narrative into parts. It makes me happy, and it keeps me in love with the industry, as I have one fear - that I will be completely disappointed when I graduate from university. I need an anchor. I prefer to draw for my eyes only, but sometimes something changes in my mind and I post it.

Hi! I literally just discovered Bridgewater today and oh god am I obsessed or what. Almost done with season 1 already and even stumbled upon your blog on the same day too! I have soo much to say and ask but lemme start with, you've done a fantastic job with everything and the entire cast is stellar. How was it working with Misha? He's phenomenal here (could never get enough of him)... Also, is there a chance to ever get any bts footage of the recording process? Such a bang up job all around

Misha is wonderful to work with!!! he was such a pleasure to direct and, then, when I was working on the scripts for season 2, he had some amazing feedback and great ideas that I incorporated into the scripts.

gosh, I wish we had bts footage! sadly, we didn't film any of the recording and, at least for S1 (I didn't direct S2, a wonderful director Brendan Hughes took over), there weren't actually that many bloopers or anything! we had very little time to record, so there wasn't a lot of bts stuff taking place tbh. I personally have some screenshots of the zooms and what-not, but because of the way releases work, I can't actually share any of those.

1) The more I read the more objective posts on Tumblr, the more I admire Jared.

2) JPad and his family are WAY MORE GROUNDED and LOVING. JA and his family are painstakingly and painfully staged. Just look at the Paris Disneyland video, Arrow looked like she couldn't give a scintilla of a shit.

3) Misha and Jared have voiced wanting to participate less in the SPN Cons. A bunch of people screaming and shouting like drunks at a club is not attractive. Almost makes me feel sorry for the actors.

4) JA FINALLY did it, he got matching Botox along that wife of his. He aged so wonderfully.

Jared is very authentic in everything he does, which is why so many people love him, and I imagine the posts you're mentioning are the ones where people like him for specific actions/personality traits and not just his looks (like the AAs tend to do).

I can understand if actors, like Jensen, want to keep themselves aloof around their fans (especially when they're as obsessive as AAs), but you can't promote a welcoming, family-man, good ol' boy image if there's no substance behind it. (I also get the feeling Arrow knows when they're family image is being faked.)

I haven't heard either Misha or Jared say they want to do fewer cons, but it's certainly possible. (Though, if Misha did, he's probably reneged on that because he knows GK isn't going to make S2 and he still needs con money.)

1- duela 2- i really loved the whole scene in 1x10 when harvey was talking to dark!harvey 3- harper/stephanie 4- duela 5- first one that comes to mind is "big dent energy" lsqkdfjls 6- duela being harvey's daughter 7- reaaaaally cool and i think misha did an amazing job, i'm so sad that we won't get to see more of it :( 8- really liked how they used the lighting on harvey throughout the season to have half of his face in the shadow and the other half in the light as foreshadowing of two-face 9- ngl i found the first half of the season pretty boring, i think it was really slow to get things going and i low key could not stand turner, but thankfully it got better in the second half of the season 10- the whole tuner kidnapping thing was kinda weird and i wasn't really into it, but all the rest was really good, especially with two-face, i would have loved to see a s2!

I have to go with the last scene where we finally get to see Two Face. The make up is amazing, and Misha's acting is just perfect

I really loved Duela and Harvey, and I also love Harper and Stephanie and Harper with Cullen

I wouldn't call it a plot twist, but I really enjoyed Harvey deciding to bring up his bad side to rescue Duela

I need like 5 more seasons of this show so I can see more of Two Face, because HOLY SHIT, it was amazing

I loved the sets and the costumes designs. You can see they put a lot of effort on every detail

I'd have made Turner a bit more interesting in the first half of the season, he was a bit bland from episodes 2-8. Also, a thing I would change, THE COLORING AND LIGHTING. I know they're doing it for the vibe, but it makes making gifs a nightmare

Perhaps the part that I found less interesting was Turner's kidnapping, but perhaps it'd have been interesting in s2. As for the rest of stories, I think they were amazing, and I'd have loved to see more of these characters and their stories

i would have to say either Duella or Stephanie. I love them both!

I still like the scene where Harvey is talking about his relationship with his father. A close runner up is the scene between the two Harveys. Misha is KILLING IT! Harvey's scenes with Duella are *chef's kiss*

SHARPER! SHARPER! (Stephanie and Harper) I was so excited when I thought I saw subtext, so imagine how thrilled I was when there was TEXT

I really love what they've done with Duella. She's grown so much! (Shoot, I even really like Turner)

I really love all the thought that went into JMN's designs for Harvey. Down to the buttons and the way the ties were tied! It was so obvious that a TON of thought went into the designing and wardrobe

I would want a few filler episodes. I did not expect to enjoy the characters so much, and I would have loved a chance to just hang out with them a little more when the stakes weren't so very high

s2 setup? AMAZING SHOWSTOPPING WONDERFUL. it is again a CRIME that i am deprived. i am hunting everyone in the cw who had anything to do with this decision for sport

And, it is sad that, although I am SURE he didn't want THAT right there to happen and he was "joking", but joking in that way that he knows it is VERY POSSIBLE that they won't ever let it be said in the first place, to then, just LET it be said, only to do that horrible thing that they did later with the whole erasure and exclusion of Cas COMPLETELY... Re: Cas in The Winchesters, didn't Misha and Jensen both say that having Cas be a part wa sthe plan but GK shooting schedule clash didn't allow it? And given that jensen's still hoping for a renewal, and also said in JiB that we might still get to see a Dean and Cas reunion scene, I don't think Cas being a part of TW is completely out of the plan. I did assume no mention at all was because they wanted to leave the stage open for how to run it in case of renewal and greater Misha availability (since obviously GK is not going to make it, even if TW does)

Really bummed that you're not having fun with SPN, but I certainly understand that feel of dissapointment with canon (not with SPN for me, but I have had exactly that experience with another prior fandom) Really keeping fingers crossed for S2 and Cas and I hope you can one day enjoy SPN again <3

The problem with Cas showing up in S2 is that Dean's part in SPNWIN is over. So if Cas shows up and isn't interacting with Dean, and for some reason doesn't mention him, (Because this is an AU, it could be AU!Cas, and not Our!Cas), then I'm in the same boat as the 01x13 left me in. Because that episode wrapped up Dean's part in the SPNWIN storyline. Dean's gone now. Seeing Dean without Cas disappointed me, so seeing Cas without Dean will be just as disappointing. And if WB or whoever's in charge of greenlighting things decides that the SPN Universe isn't worth continuing, I'm still stuck feeling shitty about SPN's ending.

And Misha not being able to show up due to scheduling conflicts was something I expected to happen when he announced GK. One of my first thoughts when he announced it was "oh man he's going to be too busy now". But as a writer, I could imagine 3 different ways they could have just mentioned him, which would have made me feel better about not seeing him yet. It's that writer's brain that wakes me up at 3am to rage about 15x20, because IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO EASY. And I've seen proof Misha was already in Vancouver quarantining, so the excuse that CW couldn't afford to include him also wakes me up at 3am seething lol

Anyway, thank you for trying to make me feel better. I appreciate it, even if I'm being a grump about this whole thing. Just give me a few days to mourn, and hopefully I'll get over it. Or at least revisiting my old fandoms will distract me enough that I'm able to sleep peacefully lol

I'm hopeful for more SPNWIN, and I'm crossing my fingers that we get good news about it. Cas or no :)
