9. Biggest pet peeve while writing?

When the word i want is RIGHT THERE, but I can't think of it. Or when I feel like my description is coming across really flat compared to the way I'm envisioning it in my head. Which happens... a lot, lately. Shout out to the people who commented that Kim is very analytical in Technicality, bc that wasn't a conscious decision, I was just struggling to write the smut 🤣 but it was an excellent observation, so I decided to run with it!

Best/funniest comment you’ve ever gotten on a fic?

My goodness, I have no idea, I've gotten so many wonderful ones ;_; But the first thing that comes to mind is a comment from @coldatomheadcanons (Hi, we've never talked, I hope it isn't weird to tag you!) on a fic I wrote... 8 years ago? It was on a oneshot for a small fandom, the whole fic itself only got 6 comments total. I actually printed it out and pinned it to my wall for a while. It was a really long and sweet comment, one of the first of its kind I'd ever gotten. I was 16 and still really new to posting fic online; I'd only made my Ao3 acct less than a year before! And I remember looking at that comment just made my day every time I saw it. Ofc I've gotten so many wonderful comments since then (esp from you my friend <3), and made a lot of great friends through my comment section. But that's a pretty formative one that I still think about all these years later. Finniest comment I ever got was this person who had a meltdown in my comment section bc they didn't like my story, but most of their comment wasn't even about that - they were treating the comment box like a craigslist personal add, listing out all their requirements for a perfect fic and entreating someone to write it for them, as they were simply not talented enough to write themselves. The entitlement was hilarious. Especially when I replied, but they didn't respond to my comment until a full year later. Like baby, I have so moved on. I don't think I was even writing for that fandom anymore.

🍰 - holy cow ok i have so many actually!! this one is a stucky fic (it's a wonderful life au) that's probably my all-time comfort fic. this one is a got braime fic that's probably a close second (jaime survives s8 but loses his memory, becomes a bard). i have like a million i could link for VC, but i dont think i've been in the fandom long enough for any of them to establish as "comfort fics" in my mind -- i've probably read the two linked above at least a hundred times each <3

Hope you don't mind smut cuz that's what you're getting! But I'll at least keep it PGish. Gonna talk about a pair that are a follow-up to Triangles, an early MMF sandwich I wrote with Mitch, Driss, and an anonymous corpo V, well before corpo Val existed. I want to redo it for Val, plus add a third chapter, which seems appropriate given the title.

Unnamed Triangles Oneshot Sequel

The second piece to "Triangles" is a oneshot with Mitch and Driss, set shortly after the first piece, but before Val and Panam go after the AV and, well, you know. In fact it's their last night together. 😔 Mitch is awake in bed, smoking a cigarette, when Driss wakes from a nightmare. They both use sex as an escape from the aftereffects of the combat treatments they received, so Driss reaches for Mitch but he tells him to go take a shower because he woke up sweaty. Driss is a real brat, and he pouts because he wants Mitch to go the showers with him, but Mitch is stubborn that night and doesn't. Of course, he later regrets missing that last opportunity to be close to Driss. They have sex, Mitch drifts off for a bit then wakes up early to take care of the generators by himself. He kisses Driss's buzzed head and heads off; and that's the last time he sees Driss alive. 😭

Part Three: Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses

The third part is Val and Mitch, set during "I'll Fly Away". Mitch is heartbroken and Val stays with him on the bridge. They get drunk and Mitch admits that he always wanted Driss to top him, but never got around to it for whatever reason. They fuck, of course, then she hatches a plan to help him with his grief. She goes shopping for a very special toy, then plays the part of Driss.

This Corpo Val is a bit more fucked up — the original is much more reserved in who she sleeps with, and has a regular relationship with Richard Ripper, @/dustymagpie's high-end escort. This Val, however, is more aggressive at using her sexuality for personal gains. Both versions of them are aromantic; or so they think. In the original Corpo Val AU, Richard helps her figure out she's demiromantic, and that's why she suddenly is having all these confusing feelings for Mitch. As for this version... I'm not sure how she'll figure it out in this one, but she will, and they'll live happily ever after, or whatever. 😅

As far as KP fics go, Dystocia is getting pretty crazy. I also have a Wuju Bakery fic (that may never see the light of day) with some insane worldbuilding that includes Raon as an amphibious alien with four types of slime secretions.
