Is there a guide on how you draw and color each of the Homies’ eyes? I noticed each one has their own slight designs to them; maybe to signify their powers and different universes?
dude... its a small thing, but whenever someone notices and brings up details in your designs, its always suh a heart-warming notion that people see the stuff you do... thank you! QwQ this ask just made me so happy ;3 so happy that i actually made a lil guide to explain my design choices! xD
Tumblr media
Generally, my artstyle choice is to try and keep as close as possible to the original styles, for several reasons: a) to keep the characters recognizable and b) because im too lazy to try and do something too fancy. xD
Kim was an easy transition from cartoony! Its just her normal eyes, but a bit more anime-like? lol
Jenny's is the same shape, but instead of stylized light, I decided to give her more animatronic/robot like pupil in electric blue & white color, with light in the center (imagine it contracts smaller/bigger like a robot's). Also a bit more color on movable eyelids just for funsies. ;)
Danny's was a bit weird, because I wanted to keep the og big-eyed style, so it resulted in Danny having very big eyes. xD In his ghost form, I decided to give him green sclera and a more narrow (beast-like) pupil, as a nod of other ghosts solid eye colors and a hint to his growing power. ;) (Just imagine when he gets overwhelmed with strong emotions his iris and sclera kinda meld together into solid green!) The growing power is also the reason why I often add green accents into his human blue eyes!
Jake was one of the big changes, since his og cartoony eyes are very plain and boring. So I decided to go a bit nuts. Because of his dragon form, his usual human dark brown/blackish eyes changed colors that range from red-orange-yellow (colors of fire) and his pupil is much narrower than normal human's. The change of eye color can seem like the flare of amber on brown eyes whenever sunlight hits them to other people. And if you notice, I added what seemed to be red eyeliner to his design, which is actually not make-up - it's tough dragon skin! Like Jake's sharper ears its a sign that his dragon form kinda bleeds into his human form, due to his grown strength.
Jun is another easy transition from cartoony to my style! The more notable change I added is that her light brown are now darker and less orange/reddish brown, but more dark pink in shade! It's a hint of her magical power, which is usually in shades of pink (like her hair streak). When she uses magic, her eyes can glow in very light pink colors.
Zak is kinda mix of his two designs, with a dash of my headcanons. Originally his eyes were dark brown, but as his powers awakened more, the color lightened more and more, and after the finale, they gradually turned to his TGIF design color! I kinda like the idea that when he uses his powers now, his pupil glow white amidst the orange/golden. Usually its not that noticable, but its very obvious for other magical beings/wielders.
Ben is another sorta mix, but leaning more towards AF/UA design. I like to headcanon that his eyes were darker green, before he put on Omnitrix again, after which his eyes started to get lighter with that Omnitrix glow which resulted in lighter Omniverse color.
Rex is like... practically his normal eye in my style. xD Maybe a bit more dark browner + sometimes when he uses nanites, the pupil can glow electric blue/white (kinda mix of Zak & Jenny lol).
Randy was actually the biggest pain in the ass and I'm still unsatisfied with it. ;/ I might change it later, but for now its basically the same deal as with Danny! Maybe I'll add something cooler later down the line for him. xD
But, yeah that's basically it! Thank you sm for the ask <3 hehe and i hope you enjoy this lil guide. ;3c

Summary: It's just an accident, and you're totally fine. One handsome man, however, does not agree.
Tumblr media
It’s not their fault; it’s just bad luck.
You should have texted to confirm this morning, but since Syd told you she’d text you if anything changed, you didn’t want to pry. Your friends make enough fun of you already for never coming out. You didn’t want to give them one more story in their long list of times you bailed. They already think you’re allergic to fun, so tonight you were going to show them.
You’d rushed to the restaurant after work. You even woke up early to do your hair before work so that you’d still look nice. You brought a purse to transfer your wallet and keys and makeup into so as not to carry your much larger work bag around. You even drank less water the entire afternoon so you wouldn’t be rushing to the restroom and slowing down your cross-city commute.
But then you arrived and there was no reservation.
Not under anyone’s name.
The hostess seemed outstandingly indifferent to your situation. You stepped aside for other patrons, sneaking peeks through the wonky glass dividers to catch a glimpse of your friends at a table maybe, and you texted one.
>>Hey.
<<Whaddup? Tiff replies.
>>You guys here yet?
<<Where?
You give the name of the restaurant and feel your guts crash to the polished wood floor.
<<We were there earlier. Yeah. Why?
Your hands start to shake with anxiety and a touch of rage.
>>I thought we were meeting at 7
The dots show up and disappear. The hostess huffs, staring at you while striking through a line on her paper. You’re blocking one of four total doors to enter the building, but apparently, that’s still taking up too much space.
<<Syd and Karol got off at 4 so we just had drinks early
<<TGIF
<<On a pub crawl now
They know you still work tomorrow. They know you likely would barely drink at dinner. You know exactly why no one would bother asking you if you could get out of work early, and you know they would not try any spontaneous fun for your first time out in months. They didn’t ask because they knew you’d say ‘no,’ or even worse, they knew you’d say ‘yes’ but be uncomfortable the entire time.
You try to call Syd, a last-ditch effort to get a lock on just how drunk or how far away they are. You tell yourself that if they are close and seem relatively coherent (and if the bar serves some small plates of something because you are hungry) then you’ll go. You will absolutely go.
Syd doesn’t pick up. You try Karol. No dice.
Fine. You turn to ask the hostess if there is space at the bar to eat, but she looks at you with such annoyance and a raised finger while she handles a couple who clearly out-rank you in some way.
Defeated, you leave instead.
This whole thing has taken so little time that you’d have to wait another ten minutes for the next bus back. You just walk, staring down at your phone, willing one of them to talk to the other, willing one of them to realize they’ve left you behind.
Do they even care that they’ve done it? Are they even your friends anymore?
The sad part is that you don’t go out much, but these are the friends you go out with the most. It just so happens that’s a few times a year, and that is you trying. This is you pushing yourself.
It’s not good enough.
Just as the WALK sign lights up at the street corner, the dots show back up under Syd’s message, and you shove it closer to your face.
You don’t see it coming.
A cab’s bumper smacks your left leg and bats you sideways. The solid hit feels like a tumble on the ice rink. It spins you, your phone flying out of your hands, and you’re scrambling not to fall. Your muscles tense every which way that’s not natural, probably looking klutzy.
You shoot back up too fast and look around, wondering if people are staring at you now, but the few other people crossing simply walk on by.
The cabbie only rolls down his window.
“You okay?”
Not actively concerned. Not getting out of the car. Not even apologizing.
But if you’d kept walking, you’d be across already. If you weren’t just standing there, the cab would be able to turn and so would the several others behind him.
One honks.
“Fine,” you say quietly, waving him on for emphasis and stepping back to find your phone.
All the effort of the day, all the preparation mentally and physically, and you are stranded on the wrong side of the road, exactly where you started, metaphorically and near-actually run over.
You have to crouch down by the curb and pray your phone didn’t slide into the gutter, wincing at a particular angle that shoots pain up your left thigh. Maybe you aren’t fine.
“Miss?” a tentative, low voice calls above a classic pair of Converses on the sidewalk. “Think this is yours.”
A man in glasses and a ball cap hands your phone back, the screen mercifully intact.
It’s such a tiny blessing in this string of unfortunate events.
The breath you take turns into a whimper and ends in a sniffle. Tears sting your eyes as you start to think about what happened—what really happened—in the past minute.
“Thank you,” you choke out, snatching the device. The gesture seems aggressive after the fact. “Sorry. Thank you,” you try again.
“You okay?” How the same two words can sound so different from two people, you’ll never know, but the difference floors you harder than the car’s impact.
With the utmost care, the stranger’s hands lightly touch your shoulders and guide you out of the road.
“I’m fine.” You’re an automated recording, retreating to a quiet and lonelier space in your mind. “I’m fine. Thank you.”
“You got hit by a car,” he says bluntly.
“No, just a—“ you look up into the man’s face, his blond hair, his blue eyes, his strong jaw, his height “—graze.”
“Yeah, you got grazed by four thousand pounds.”
“You’re…” All you can do is point at Captain America’s chest and blink.
He frowns and whispers. “You recognize me?”
Somehow that’s the strange part?
“Shoot. The glasses usually work. Don’t…please don’t make a big deal, but I…I’m sorry I couldn’t pull you out of the way.”
Steve Rogers buries his hands in his jean pockets, folding himself more into the cover of his hoodie and leather jacket.
“You wanted to help me?” you croak.
He ticks his head in confusion, respectfully indicating that you’ve asked the one and only dumb question known to mankind.
“Why?”
You don’t even know what you’re asking about now. Why me? Why today? Why now? Why not? You don’t notice your hands are shaking until he grips them gently.
“I can take you to the hospital,” he offers.
“I’m fine.” The repeat earns you another frown. “I’m not…hurting,” you clarify.
“That’s called shock, sweetheart.”
Steve seems to catch himself and sighs.
“Sorry. What I mean to say is let’s find you some water and somewhere to sit, okay? I’ll check you out then.”
You nod immediately. He’s only half-turned when Steve spins back around.
“Not check you out check you out,” he mumbles, “just like a once over. No, not…” he sighs harder. “I am going to make sure you are alright.” Every word is strategically emphasized.
He leads you to the nearest bench. His head stays down the entire way to a newspaper stand to buy you a bottle of water.
You can tell by the way Steve monitors every move of the bottle to your lips that he fights doing it for you. From his overly attentive posture, you’re surprised he waits a whole minute to ask how you feel yet again.
Still stunned, honestly, but it’s not just your left leg that aches, it’s your whole body. That seems too pathetic to admit aloud, but if you say the ‘fine’-word one more time, he’ll surely carry you to the dang ER. He has that look.
Instead, you admit, “I’m hungry.”
A smile blossoms over his features. “I can help with that.”
The boyish glee with which Steve Rogers walks you (gingerly) to a nearby, hole-in-the-wall pizza parlor is endearing. You’re not a patient for those minutes, and when he orders for you both (there are three lines on the board and that’s the menu) while you claim a teeny tiny booth, you’re not a victim of your day.
When he tells you how he found this place originally, how it’s almost like the pizza he remembers from long ago but better, you’re not alone anymore.
“Were you going to get food when…” Steve trails off.
Maybe it’s the shock wearing too thin to mask the rest. Maybe it’s the hot cheese warming your insides and melting your anger. You spend the next ten minutes blabbing about what happened with your friends and explaining what you were doing when the cab hit you.
“So you weren’t even okay before the car?”
His words throw you for a loop.
“No, I mean, it was just a misunder—“
“You’re doing it again,” he cuts in. “You’re diminishing you in the picture.”
You take a long swig of your soda while staring blankly at him. You watch Steve realize you aren’t even going to impose on him for an explanation. He drops his slice on the plate and holds out his huge hands as props.
“The whole picture of your day, right?” His arms are wide, then he points at things on the table. “You told me about Syd and why it’s ‘fine’ that she changed plans for her own convenience. About Tiffany and Carly—“
“Karol,” you sputter mid-sip.
“Carol, right, sorry. Everyone has a -y in their names now. I just assumed.”
“Karol with a -k,” you add.
Steve…ponders whether that’s some sort of joke before waving his hands to regroup. “You told me how your other friends—using that term loosely—rationalize leaving you to eat or even navigate the city alone—“
“I don’t need a chaperone.”
“Debatable,” he chuckles. “And then you tell me about how the cab driver probably didn’t need the hassle of dealing with some minor injury he inflicted on—and I quote—‘someone.’”
His eyebrow pops up over the rim of his glasses as if that will drive his point home, but you’ve got nothing.
“Where are you in the picture?” he finally blurts. “It’s your time and your effort and your body and your safety, and you just told me everyone else is more important. They all deserve consideration before you in your own life. Including some driver who could have killed you!”
He’s getting visibly agitated the more he talks, and you shrink in the seat, not out of fear but out of guilt for taking an evening of Captain America’s time to yourself. If your friends couldn’t even stand to spend a meal with you, it makes sense that Steve would be annoyed with your company.
“Wait, there,” he points directly at your face, “what was that thought? What did you just think?”
“I—I’m sorry I—“
“What do you have to be sorry for?” Steve asks bluntly.
He must see your eyes glisten with more unshed tears because his whole body visibly softens.
“You showed up at the place you all agreed on—“ he counts on his fingers “—at the time you were told, and walked across a street with right of way.” He does what you are beginning to think of as his signature sigh. “Am I missing something?”
All you can do is chew on your bottom lip.
It takes you what feels like an eternity to notice. “I could have really been hurt,” you mumble finally. “That’s not okay.”
Steve stretches his long arm across the tiny table, opening his palm to await yours.
“I hate to tell you this. You don’t have to be torn open to be ‘really hurt,’ sweetheart.” This time he says the nickname with firm intention. He squeezes your hand. “Now, I’d appreciate it if you’d come to the infirmary with me and get some industrial-grade salve on what’s sure to be a nasty bruise.”
You smile sadly, still pushing away errant thoughts that you’re imposing on the Captain.
“And by the time that’s over…it’ll be time for a late-night dessert before I take you home.”
In the fluorescent light, you can see him blush fiercely.
“As an escort—escort you,” he corrects, “to your door, I mean. For safety.”
He shrugs uncomfortably to adjust his layers of disguise, hanging his head, this time to hide his face from you.
“If you ever wondered why I’d go out to pizza alone,” Steve whispers, “wonder no longer.”
He scoots across his side of the booth to stand.
You think for a long moment.
This is important. This is one of the most important men in the country—nay, the world—begging you to be the protagonist in your own life. He wants you to want that.
You deposit the last grease-crumpled napkin onto the stacked plates and clear your throat. “I like this picture,” you say first, but it’s not enough. It’s not loud enough. It doesn’t hold weight or take up its due space.
You try again.
“I like being in this picture.”
He’s tall and his gleaming white teeth are perfect and his bright blue eyes are framed by long lashes and he’s staring right at you. How could you not shoot your shot?
“I’d—“ you fight the urge to look away “—consider seeing a sequel, too.”
Steve pushes up his fake glasses and nods, still pink in the cheeks. His hesitation reads as shy, not polite, not dutiful.
He juts out an average, hoodie-covered elbow for you to balance on.
“S’pose that means I should know your name, miss, and what your favorite flavor of ice cream is.”

Ro's 1-1-1 Challenge Details
A/N: In case you were wondering, the life lesson I wrote Steve Rogers teaching us is one that I constantly struggle with, too. This is an everyday, uphill battle to recognize our own worth and know that taking care of ourselves is not selfish. I hope this serves as a wee reminder!

I easily recall my favorite lobsta roll. It was from a tiny food truck, more a cart, but it was in Maine. Portland Head Light was the backdrop and I drank a can of Moxie soda.
When adverts for the arrival of this new “Shark Tank” funded business began to show up in my FB feed, I didn’t get too excited.
Over the years I’ve given up on the possibility seafood served in the Louisville area could ever approach the deliciousness of that in a coastal market. Once a year I track down the Maryland Crab Cake vendor, who does the local art fair circuit, but it’s never so good as when your eating them with the smell of the bay in your nose and seagulls overhead. I gave up on the Donner kebab truck long before they gave up in this market and don’t get me started on the futility of finding good bbq here!
Still I try. lol a few weekends ago we were in Evansville and so was this Couisins Maine Lobster truck. It was a coincidence but I instantly decided it was serendipity of the highest order.
Even better, it was parked in front of my favorite brewery there, Myriad!!!
Alas calamity. I was next to order when I pulled my wallet out only to realize my Amex was missing. No!
I stood there in a daze for a few seconds before I recovered my senses and moved aside.
CONAN! What is best in life?" "Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of their women or…a succulent lobsta roll.”
So, instead of eating a lobsta roll and drinking a fresh IPA, I drove an hour round trip to retrieve my card from the disappointing restaurant where we’d had lunch. Oh well…c’est la vie.
Today the truck is scheduled to be parked less than 20 miles from my house!
Tumblr media
I will crush my doubts and drive the flooded road before me to hear the lamentations of the lobsta women.
TGIF
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I rolled up and there was no line. A Maine roll was my order. That’s chilled lobster without being drenched in hot butter. They’ve added a garlic butter option as well as a lobster grilled cheese, tots, and bisque. I wanted to evaluate their lobster not their butter, cheese, etc.
My verdict, not even the best I’ve had in Indiana.
This lobster was taken from the sea long enough their women have found new mates to look forward to lamenting. FYI in Maine, egg laying lobsters are not legal to keep.
For me, Cousins ain’t worth kissing.

super witch, alter ego
Tumblr media
Sabrina, version Filmation cartoon, version last series, faces up against her evil cousin from another dimension, Demeana. We can tell she's bad news visually -- what with low cut shirt, shorter mini-skirt, and knee high boots.
Tumblr media
And the gang's all here. Betty is wholesome, we see, as she has a shirt under her low cut top.
Plot contrivance not terribly original.
Tumblr media
And somewhere in the ABC TGIF line-up, they lost the brunette wig requirement. (Yes I am guessing this shot was probably from the sitcom's wb run.)

I miss the old TGIF line-up. Watching Sabrina and Boy Meets World back in the day was really something fun to start the weekend with. Wish we still had those sorta schedules.

How do you feel about the girl in the fireplace episode? 10 seems very ooc to me :/
the girl in the fireplace was a complete and utter disaster for which i blame moffat 100% person.
guy completely ignored the season and a half long slow burn romance that was right in the face just so he could make yet another historically prominent woman fall in love with the doctor.
i don't know what moffat's deal with that particular trope is, but it is a little creepy if you ask me.
moffat does plotty stuff really well- you have to give him that. tgif and blink are both examples of really good episodes story line wise- but he when it comes to characters, the man can't keep his personal feelings out of it. he stuffed his own version of the doctor into the rtd era, purposely forgetting that ten was, canonically, head over heels for Rose and turned her into a jilted lover. that this episode came right after the sarah jane one, *and* had mickey on board was just a rotten cherry on top of a really terrible sunday.
i wrote a fic back when of what would've happened if 11 had accidentally met rose during that five and a half hours. that little fic sums up my feelings for the episode quite well (if this monstrocity of an essay wasn't enough). I had forgotten about it till this ask. maybe i'll reupload it ...

Hello Becca! Happy weekend!
Any thoughts on how goalie Cole and reader would celebrate his team’s first win as a couple?
Happy weekend @drabblewithfrannybarnes (and seriously... TGIF... and that Monday is freaking holiday... it's been a week)
For anyone who hasn't read them goalie!Cole is from my drabbles Smooth Hips Turner and Smooth Hips Turner Gets Caught.
In my head, the first story takes place in like July/August and the second takes place in November.
Because of their shared history (growing up together), I don't seem them jumping straight from her showing him around town to them hooking up right away. I feel like they would want to slowly add the romantic elements into getting to know each other as adults.
That said... I feel like when the season starts in October, that they wouldn't be a couple just yet. They'd be close... but wouldn't have crossed that line officially. (Not that they'd be making an official statement about it.)
Honestly, I feel like they'd be taking a walk or something and he'd just be like 'So you wanna be my girlfriend?' and she'd be like 'Sure.' It wouldn't be anything grand, but they'd both be smiling like idiots.
Which, finally, brings me to actually answering the question asked. 😅
How'd they celebrate his team's first win after they become a couple.
Obviously, she'd be rocking a Turner jersey to claim him as hers and so he could also claim her as his.
In all honesty, I feel by that point (I'm thinking like late November/early December), they've already established a low key after game ritual where she'll stay the night at his place instead of driving home late at night.
They'd go back to his apartment (since it's near the arena) and he'd still be riding the high from the win and be turned on seeing her wearing his jersey... and even more turned on when he sees her out of his jersey. 😉😉
Their "Netflix and chill" becoming a little less chill and absolutely no Netflix. And her definitely sleeping with him in his bed and not in the guestroom.

Thanks for the fantastic question @drabblewithfrannybarnes you really made me think about how I picture them. 🫶

For the salty ask list: 25 and 10 regarding MDZS
Aw thank you for playing the game with me ^^
10 - Most disliked arc and why?
I'm going to anger my beta-reader Nasha...but I really disliked the Yi city arc, for several reasons (mostly stupid ones one stupid and one more legitimate than the other) The more legitimate one...It felt ouf of the story, like different from the rest (which makes sense since it's a story that MTXT wrote in high school and decided to implement last minute), I didn't like that there was no-prexistence for XY, XXC and SZC before. I did like WWX being a teacher in this and it was fun but that's it. I didn't even really vibe with the romantic couple of the arc (sorry XXC/SZC and XY U-U) I do like XY and A-Qing a lot (and Ouyang Zizhen whom shined in this arc) but huh that's it. It doesn't help that it's a moment of the story I was struggling with the power system and didn't understand much of how WW could do this and that (it was the beginning, so I waited for an explanation that never came, used to the way western books do, which is on me).
The stupid reason is that someone put the kids in danger and nailed dead cats for that. Which automatically make them the ultimate villain for me. You kill cat you're irredeemable in my book *runs away*
25 - How would you end MDZS? Would you change the ending ?
Ah, hard question. I really loved MTXT, I wouldn't change much from it? But at the same time I would changes some things.
Maybe make the theme a little more clearer because obviously some readers didn't get it, but there's always people not reading it like the author intend to. You can't fight that. So yeah...
My author side adores the parallel between LXC and JGY and their parents (the same way LWJ and WWX mirror it) adore the first sentence being "Wei Wuxian is dead hurray!!" and you spend the whole book learning that actually, not hurray at all...And the last line "JGY is dead, hurray!!" (when really not hurray). I think though this would have needed to be more highlighted, by giving more time / more development in the extra. With the cultivation world being in trouble because now they have lost their best administrator, and they have NHS who is not a good plotter or a good administrator either and destroyed everything in his revenge path. I would have more Wangxian getting a bit held responsible for some things because I'm sorry they are not acting to righteous by hiding the truth from LXC and going in their honeymoon phase and abandoning everything else. I do love seeing them happy, and I adored the incense burner extra but huh I feel they replaced important story bit we would have needed xD I would have also loved to see the Lan sect and the Nie sect getting a bit exposed for their hypocrisy (especially the Nie sect and they almost demonic cultivation saber)
But on the other hand I also hate the way MDZS ended with that loop. (I know I'm human, I'm complicated TT) I wanted JGY to get away and survive, because I'm tired of the "commoner who rose to the top and ended up being "corrupted" (aka playing their rules) being punished and proving the point of elite that letting them (commoners) in is actually worse than letting the system as it is" I really really hate that. I would rather have him flee and prosper in another place.
OR BETTER, my ideal ending is JGY ascending. like I said on twitter and then Shiome did an awesome fix-it au art like a week later (satiating my urge to write the au) - linking MDZS and TGCF together by having JGY ascend as a god, paving that once again you don't have to be perfect to be a god (im sorry if you hadn't read tgif, know that every gods in there is guilty of something). I would have loved that type of ending because we avoid the trope and JGY ends up being a bit right and doing the middle finger to everyone (look at Shiome's perfect art!!). and make the overall theme even clearer aka, the problem is the society. think that'd be my ultimate perfect ending for MDZS U-U° (and I could write an happy ending for xiyao, since Wangxian got their, they are fine they don't need extra help).
I'm going to be a little weird again, but as much as I love JC, I would to change anything to his story. Not even Chengxian reconciliation. I do love to reconcile them in my fics, but I do like that in the book they just...Are cordial to each other and not angry anymore but not friend/back to what they used to be. I just find it more realistic. People who's been following me for a long time know I'm picky with redemption arc and forgiveness. Not all characters needs to be forgiven/to forgive, I like diversity and some not forgiving. (I like some never forgetting, forgiving, and live their life without being portrayed as resentful) which I feel is a bit the case for JC. (as much as JC can be at least).

Thanks for leaving me some fanfiction asks too!!
How long ago did you start reading or writing fanfiction? Damn, I had to been when I was around about twelve or maybe thirteen. I don't know if anyone remembers the-ndotcom message boards, various Degrassi message boards (mainly Degrassi boards aka DB, anyone around, I honestly doubt it?), and of course, fanfictiondotnet my online life in the mid-2000s.💗
When I was third grade, I remember writing things that resembled fanfiction. Typically based off of some shows I saw (such as Sabrina the teenage Witch, TGIF line up was awesome) or books I read like The Boxcar Children or Junie B, for these writing journal prompts for school the teacher would assign us. When I say it's all cringe and embarrassing as hell, Let's just say I'm glad no evidence of that writing existed. That wasn't even the tip of the iceberg there, I also wanted to *be* a friggin' author. I'd even include these cheesy bios for each 'book' I would make for myself bc I'd always see them in books I read in childhood.
Fast forward to 2003, my first fanfiction (when I knew I was writing fanfiction) was a doozy for Degrassi written about Sean, Craig, and Emma in some weird season 2 timeline with a love triangle, an ill-fated camping trip, Sean's newly sober mother made an appearance in the form of a camp organizer desperate to reconnect with her son and bring him home much to his chagrin, and other things I forgot about and wouldn't wanna think much on. I was basically winging it. I'm afraid it's gone. I had notebooks and notebooks filled with stories around this time.
10. Worst writing habits? Abandoning and giving up without a doubt. A horrid habit that becomes tempting when I get writer's block, and then I just start the hell over and make something totally new and forget about it drop it like a bad habit, and the cycle comes back around like a shitty boomerang. I then will read the old one months or even years later and be filled with regret or have five million new ideas for said abandoned story. Maybe then I rework it in the future someday or in a whole dif story which has been done before. I am already my own worst critic, but I hate super flaming, negative criticism that shit doesn't help anyone except be tempted to give up.
Some fic I abandoned needed to be, such as the Zoemund vehicle in a weird alternate season thirteen titled The Starlet and Dealer. Not that I need to explain myself, but I didn't feel right writing something portraying a couple with literally no chance on any planet, not even interested in men on the whole didn't make much sense. Also who would read that considering all that? It's available on fanfictiondotnet who cares? I moved on it's never gonna have an ending.
Backtrack has more of a chance of getting an ending, and yes, it's an *almost* ten-year-old fic, just saying.😄😄😄
Another habit is simply beating myself up, comparing myself and just simply hating on myself which I gotta stop doing. Honorable mention, stuff like not being in the mood to write, or getting too much on my plate and then not writing.
15. One-shots or multi-chapters? Multichapters Angst? Yes. Fluff? Yes. Smut? I'm not that brave ha, not for a lack of trying. I usually do the ol' Disney-style cut away. I'm so lame. Hurt/comfort? Yes. Fantasy? Nah. Romance? My bread and butter🥰. Which one is your favorite? Hmm I'd say romance with multiple chapters all the way! Which one is your least favorite? My least favorite is when the protag gets pregnant and the whole story is just fucked after that because it just doesn't interest me. It's just so unoriginal and a little predictable. Unpopular or popular opinion who cares, not every love story or romance ends with a baby or a pregnancy 🤷‍♀️. I'm down for a wedding that would be something fun to tackle in writing. No, really though, out of the listed, I'd say I don't care for fantasy.
16. What’s your favorite headcanon or trope? For semma related fic's stories, I like incorporating things such as emphasis on photographs, flashbacks to past events, and some other memories from their past relationships with one another or things we didn't get to see. For example, Emma had this little box with moments like movie ticket stubs, Sean's old denim jacket (before he started wearing hoodies), Emma's retired dolphin pants, obviously photographs, a few burned mix CDs, letters, and or notes passed from class, and more miscellaneous items.
As for Emma and Jay another Degrassi pairing I write often, for example, I like including a treehouse motif. It's a long story, but in my invented backstory for Jay, Connie (Fancy) is his mother, She left his father for Mr. Edwards (Darcy and Clare's father) she met at the strip club. They had an affair resulting in pregnancy so there's a drama with that. Obviously, Jay and Darcy clash (naturally) and act like they're not related at school is an arrangement beneficial to both for Darcy's popularity and Jay had a reputation to uphold and also there's Jay's young maybe five year old half-sister from Randall and Connie named Christina affectionately nicknamed Chrissy. Jay resents his mother for leaving their father and making this new family with these stuck-up people he seems to detest and what it did to his father who had fallen in a reclusive depression since their divorce.
Chrissy idolizes Jay and serves as an honorary shipper for Emma and Jay, and sometimes provides comic relief. At Jay's dad's house is where the treehouse comes in, and Jay's super attached to it and his father too who he is still close with. The treehouse is a special spot for Jay. He eventually brings Emma into his world and treehouse, and the setting symbolizes a lot in their relationship. All this lore was created long before Jay or Darcy had a canon backstory or last names purely based on speculation. There's also related Jay/Alex lore about their past relationship, invented things from their dysfunctional childhoods. I also have a host of headcanons for Emma, Manny, and JT's childhood memories growing up together.
For tropes, I dig the first love/true love, mutual pining, enemies to lovers, slow burns, and secret relationships/forbidden love is always fun to write. I recently attempted a fake dating story Faking It/(a03)
This all is a lot of fun to write. Thanks Emma! I hope you also like writing responses to these type of questions! I’m always available and down for more questions about fanfiction! 💌

Please and thank you!
I love shells. The iridescent colors like in abalone and the spiral style shells are awesome.
Nostalgic- crisp fall nights with the smell of fires in the air. Mixed with the smells of wet leaves. Always reminds me of when I was growing up in California and spending time in the mountains.
My favorite show as a kid - hmmmm… how about the whole TGIF line up. Or full house. I was a fan of sea quest when I was a kid too.
Favorite material - I’m simple. Cotton. Like a good blanket or clean sheets. Like getting that perfect balance of warm and cool with a good blanket 👌
Thanks 😊
