Week 1+Monday for my own self imposed June challenge for pride month: Draw one queer oc per day. Let's see how long I last bc I usually suck at these daily challenges.

Day 1+2: Arabella and Dutch are my newest ocs! They're silly little guys I made for a comic (which won't be shown on tumblr unfortunately) and is a tft couple.

Day 3: Osak my LoL oc which I made to ship with Thresh and then later became their own character and has a very messy break up with him during the sentinels stuff since he helped enemy number 1.

Day 4: Fire princess! She has never had a name I am so sorry I have had her since like 5th grade. She's out of order here bc the file is too long but her story is something I have gone back and forth constantly since I did make her when I was so young.

Day 5: Alice from Alice in Wonderland but MY story addition. I made her when I was very into like Mcgee Alice very edgy wonderland edition. The story is basically she was sent to an orphanage bc she was too much for her family to deal with and Wonderland is basically a mirror to the new situation she's found herself in.

some late night rambles for you all <3

for the past 3-4 years I’ve been slowly building a fantasy world. originally it was going to just be a bunch of concept art for a portfolio but since I’ve decided I’m not going to pursue a masters in art I don’t really know what I want to do with all these ideas, characters and stories I want to tell.

I’ve played around with how I wanted to tell these stories (a novel, a comic??) and settled that I would ideally like it as a graphic novel because I don’t know how to make films/games lol.

I had this idea in my mind that I needed to have an audience before I could start seriously making this project, but now I think that maybe I should just start making it instead of finding excuses year after after (previously it was not good enough at art, not enough time, etc).

I have so many ideas and thoughts I want to share about these stories and characters and I know people aren’t really interested in original content and rather fandom stuff but I think I’m just going to take the leap and start posting.

I’ve already posted a lot of the concept art for some of the characters and landscapes but I rarely discuss the actual plot behind it all.

So here is a general explanation of this baby I’ve been sitting on for the past few years!!:

TALES FROM THE SPIDERWEB

TFTS is set in the city of Cassari and follows several characters throughout different stages it’s timeline. Each book would focus on a different character, telling their story and how they impacted the city in their timeline.

Cassari is often described as an evil place, that it corrupts the people who live there and the land around it. Cassari is a cycle, one society is built, then destroyed, then the next society is built atop of it until the ruins of a past people is just a speck in an endless sea.

Many of the characters try to fight this evil, to discover it’s origin. TFTS is about time but also infinity and how the characters come to grips with the fact that things aren’t as simple as good and evil.

The first book is set in a Viking/pirate/magical type of society following a pirate/witch character called Cassandra. These characters will be a type of origin for how Cassari got its “evil/cursed” title. Other books I haven’t really ordered yet include Gemini/Nellasa who is a cowgirl/bounty hunter/rebel character with necromancy powers. I also have a plot in mind for a winged species- might include dragons but I’m also debating giant bugs because ??? Bugs are fucking awesome??

I’m going to slowly start posting information and plots of the characters (Cassandra, Nellasa, Lia). I don’t know how much I want to reveal about some parts of the characters because I don’t want to spoil this story before it’s ready but I hope people find this ramble interesting haha. Honestly its why I'm mostly just using my Ko-fi n nothing else. But I thought, "Hey, if I'm doing character pinup polls now, what if I had a patreon for people to have an even bigger influence over polls and events like growth drives n stuff" like JDRC with their TFTs (tit fuck thursdays)

Its absolutely also a version of "if you wanna see this without commissioning me, then pay me for your input to be louder." Oh god, that sounds so scummy when you write that out.

Whatevs, this is total transparency on what's going on in my head as I think about it more and more as my days go by. It would allow me to spend more time working on my webcomic in the future if I make enough money. More info about that comic in the summer btw!

Pitri is quite short, coming up to about Avital’s chest, and has relatively short bright green hair, brown eyes, and light tan skin. ey is wearing a pastel bi flag snood (a kind of Jewish headcovering), black thick rim glasses, a metallic blue top, and pinkish purple bottoms. ey is replying to Avital, saying, “how about some buttons - over here?” and then, “oh nice, you made them rainbow!!”

Nakhshon is off to the side, having just come on to camera from the right. They are tall with light tan skin, and have brown eyes and short bright turquoise hair, as well as sideburns and a soul patch. They’re wearing a kippah with blue flames on it, a grey muscle shirt, and black bottoms, and carrying a cardboard box labeled “FAVE TROPES +misc plot fluffs”.]

We’re figuring out some ins and outs of how we want to run The Flowland Times, but we’re getting closer to having works being published regularly!
