#TF2 Saxton Hale

Quick question- I’ve found the comics and I wanna start reading them but there are a few more than I expected. If I want to mostly learn more about Saxton and Bidwell… where do I start?

Start with the update comics! It was the early release of TF2 comics that usually have short stories to promote the game update events or as a way to introduce the origin of new weapons in, even some lore came in too, during these times Bidwell and Reddy actively appears or mentioned somewhere in comic or on update pages, usually it was them talking to Saxton and ended up with him throwing fists with hippies or something :

>WAR! comic (WAR! Update) > Bidwell's Big Plan (Mann-Conomy Update) > Mann Co 1st anniversary Bidwell's catalogue bits (Manniversary Update & Sale update)

Robot War Storyline: MannCo got raided (MVM update)

>Blood Brother > A Fate Worse than Chess > Mann Co Memo to employees bits (added this here bc I like the idea they went back to defense one of the facilities (one of the in-game maps as well), evacuate the employees before the mercs arrives)

Post-Robot War, searching for Australium storyline: Saxton and Maggie went finding the "gold" after losing the company, Bidwell and Reddy was absent during most of the plot and they only have a few screen time at the very first and at the very end lol

>TF Comics : Ring of Fired (pg 1~28) > The Days Have Worn Away (pg 268~280, )

though I suggest reading through all 8 "TF Comics" for a better experience with the emotions and absurdity of the TF2 storyline and characters. x)

Other Saxton and Bidwell interactions that serve very minor correlation with the main lore:

>"The Contract" Comic (the "my Bidwell" thing sounds very fruity and it got a hold of me)

Hey TF2 fandom I feel like we’re not talking about this part of Saxton Hale maybe continuing the whole cycle of the war by telling these two to “work out the details”

Spy: Grey Fox. I was gonna go with a wolf because of his fursona but fox fits better wahhhh. Also means that scout is half fox! I’ll show that in more detail one day. Probably.

Medic: just like his Doves! The tail coat is actual his real tail. Featherrrrrs. Why are his nasty claws out? I don’t know he’s kinda weird like that.

Demo: TIGER!!!!! He’s always kinda reminded me of Hobbes from Calvin and Hobbes :) why did I draw him so cute. Somebody stop me before I draw them all adorable ough.

Engineer: the bulllllerrrrrrrrr. Sorry. He’s a bull, with a nose ring. Epic. Hooves for hands, gunslinger would look like a hoof too, gotta design that later.

Heavy: big badass brown bear. Love him. Instead of bullet he has honey sticks. It costs four hundred thousand dollars to harvest honey… for 12 seconds.

Pyro: fucking dragon. hell yeah. In pyroland they see themselves as a unicorn. Baller.

Scout: Bunny scout truther over here. You can thank @/teamfurtress for that. Please check them out, commissions are open! In my version he’s a hare but that is significantly less fun to say lol. Jackrabbit kinda guy.

Soldier: regular ole dog. ouppy to da max. He’s the most dog of the alol time and I’m tired of pretending he’s not. THE STRAPS ON HIS HELEMT ARE HIS EARS. HIS BIG TEETH AND OPEN MOUTHED SMILE. THE WAY HE MOVES. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!???!??????! That’s a grown man with dick n balls what am I doing

Some designs for the side characters that I couldn’t be arsed to finish. Saxton is kangaroo because of corse he is. Admin is a bat because she never leaves her room, Pauling is mouse because is cute, Zhanna is bear like big brother, Merasmus is praying mantis, and Gray Mann + Olivia Mann are vultures! She’s so fluffy oh my god

if you’re wondering who’s RED pearl, well if you read the tf2 comic "Loose canon" we can see Blutarch’s assistant, thats her. yes i know she’s Blu but i had already put Bidwell as Blu pearl and we never saw Redmond’s assistant so i put her instead :p

and yes Gray Diamond doesn’t have a pearl, did he shatter it? did he not deserve one bc he was the smallest and weakest of the Diamonds? idk :p we’ll figure it out later maybe lol
