We’ve lost at least one moon. But we may have lost at least two moons, and given the sky’s a lie, we may have lost all three moons. Literally no one in-game talks about it.

#the best people to drill for answers are probably Venti and Zhongli #because 1) “Mondstat” and “Liyue” both irl-translate to “moon city”#2) Venti and Zhongli are some of the oldest known characters in-game #which is important since at least some of this seems to have happened thousands of years ago #(one record specifically mentions that Moon Events allegedly happened when Rex Lapis was young)#and 3) we know they both have important knowledge but are holding out on telling us for various reasons #mind you—Aether and Lumine have some strong sun-moon imagery going on so for all we know THEY’RE hiding important moon lore too #TELL US THE SECRET MOON LORE HOYO #genshin impact #not bnha
