mondstadt is just like her archon fr and here’s why:

first and foremost all the people are very friendly and welcoming!! the knights have funny little greetings but they are very serious about being a good host, you can talk to?? just about everyone in Mond?? every single NPC is one you can talk to and Mond is the only place where that’s true plus there’s a bunch of NPCs in the town square that just. goes up to other NPCs and talk to each other. they are so friendly

secondly, Mondstadt is very easy-going!! they are also very serious about their ideals of resistance and freedom!! they like the arts and traveling very very much!! there are so many Mondstadters everywhere, you cannot go anywhere without finding someone from Mondstadt!! they are in Liyue Harbor!! in the wild!! in Inazuma City, in Ritou, in Sangonomiya, in the chasm, at Wangshu Inn!!! (and you can talk to all of them too, they are still friendly <3) they like to be involved and see new things!! there were Mond soldiers in Sangonomiya fighting for their resistance bc they believe in fighting for freedom!!

thirdly!! they are. secretive. sneaky. they have,,, vigilantes,,, (at least two), a big part of Mondstadt’s culture is secrets, they were founded on secret resistance meetings, they exchange roses as promises of silence,, they gossip and talk shit and spread rumors,,, all with a smile on their faces. they literally have multiple informants just wandering around the city and several information networks in place (see: kaeya’s intel, diluc’s intel, rosaria’s intel,,, mondstadt likes to talk)

fourthly, they are so casually influential and that’s so <3 of them btw. jean tells us that they are on the same political level as. fucking Snezhnaya!! can you believe that!! we see all the time how much Snezhnaya is in everyone’s business, but right at the same time we see silly little Mondstadters in the background, when someone talks about Dawn Winery, about the Knights and how well known they are, about their flowers and wine, about their bards and stories (they had one of the biggest libraries before that one fire?? what!!). Mondstadt is just so <3 i love it

anyways i think it’s very fitting for friendly, secretive, flightly barbatos to let his nation grow on their own only for them to be just like him, yknow???

so i just played through Cyno's story quest it was great, just wanted to share some of the Nahida dialogue that i caught

I honestly feel like these are really important lines and I'm surprised they are locked behind Nahida

this was just funny to me. some haikavehass behaviour tbh (except they were like so chill in this quest they didn't even argue once)

When the traveler invites Wriothesley to the teapot I think there will be some realizations. Mainly:

"You could have actually escaped at any time couldn’t you?"

"So, in a literal sense, how deep do those pockets go? I saw you pull out a whole claymore, and then an entire table from in there. Not to mention, those 24 logs of wood. And then preserved 40 plates of various kinds of food. I don’t think we have a security measure against this."

just started the fontaine archon quest - neuvilette just told us about the fortress of melopide undercover thing - and had a thought™ while watching the furina, arlecchino, neuvilette tea party scene

is it possible to fake being an archon?

i'm not saying furina/focalors is a fake archon but the idea won't leave my mind

her entire persona sort of revolves around putting on an act , she wants people to think of her as this wise arbiter of justice , except everyone thinks like that about neuvilette

also does the tsaritsa or fatui have some dirt on her? she was so nervous during the tea party

(also also, like yae miko had the electro archon's gnosis could neuvilette have hers?)

(can't wait to feel like a fool after i finish the quest and see this post again)
