Been wracking my brain about what the hidden agenda might be because of course episode 9 couldn't come soon enough.

What i have instead are some scenes i thought might be out of place or felt foreshadow-y and some that were teased but not revealed yet.

There's flashback to the freshie contest and Joke's reason for sticking around when he clearly hated it.

Then there's the Nova award and the Finland scholarship prize- Zo's dream. Is Joke somehow going to be gunning for the same prize for the best speaker? for what reason though? the ep9 preview showed Zo, Nita and Joke all on one side of - is this the debate team for the faculty?

has Joke been secretly running around trying to complete credits like Zo and Nita have been, so he can clear senior year for the debate competition? Is that why he's been exhausted?

or was he exhausted from running around scheming/ planning shit like this one is from the novel - did Zo somehow find out that Joke deliberately trashed his place so he can get Zo to stay over? Was that the lie at the start of the relationship? We know how Zo feels about being forced but this might be worse cos he was essentially tricked /manipulated.

But from what has been translated of the novel so far - production has veered so far from the novel so one can never know.

Has Joke done things/ taken steps he deems he has done for his love for Zo and Zo in hindsight won't see things the same way?

thankfully Sunday is upon us. need to just wait few more hours.

'OK, Liam has arrived with our other blindfold-ee,' Niall announces, slapping a hand on either side of Louis' shoulders. He could smell his best friend's aftershave the moment he spoke, a hint of cedarwood and pine needles. 

Louis turns to face the direction in where he presumes Niall is standing, presumably grinning like a Cheshire cat. 'You've just made that up, haven't you?' 

'Shit, sorry - I forgot you can't see my nonverbal replies,' he says, voice a little fainter than before. 'Yes, yes I did. It's good, huh?' 

'It's not the worst name blend you've ever come up with, I'll grant you that,' Louis quips, stunned by his own voice that's seemingly crisper and distinctively louder than he remembers it to be. He clears his throat. 'So, what happens now?'

There's a soft shuffling, followed by a clank and then a flick of the kettle. Niall's voice barely competes with the whirring and the thud of cupboard doors closing. 

'Perhaps you should consider investing in some soft closing cupboards,' Louis offers.
