Honestly, it was definitely better than the last episode. I like the whole using bastards with dragon blood that Rhaenyra did. Honestly, a smart move, I think—or possibly a terrible one, not too sure yet lol. Episode eight looks like it will be pretty good too, so I'm looking forward to that.

honestly i have mixed feelings about it. because i like that we’re getting more book accurate rhaenyra & she’s getting the necessary assets she needs to take the throne, but jace had a super valid point. his own claim is (mainly) based on the fact that he has vermax, since everyone thought it was the pure-bred blood of old valyria that allowed you to claim/bond with a dragon. not only does showing the people that (almost) anyone can claim a dragon weaken jaces claim, but it weakens the targaryens grip on the iron throne entirely. they’re the rulers because they’re able to do what no one else can — ride the dragons. that entire idea of them & the dragons being gods is shattered when 1. meleys’ head is paraded around kingslanding, and 2. when rhaenyra seats smallfolk on the greatest power in the world.

a lottt is riding on the dragonseeds loyalty, and i’m terribly nervous about it tbh. but i’m selfishly relishing in it a little cause #teamblack & it’s more than time for nyra to get that lickback. & i do enjoy seeing all of the dragons designs, even if it’s with a drunken idiot riding them 😭😭 sorry i went ham omfg
