Until We Meet Again..

It feels surreal that T1STORY &…! weekend came and went in a blink of an eye. Then again, the past 4 something years have passed by in the same way. Man, has it really been 4 years? It seemed like it was only yesterday the name Uknow and Max (not TVXQ) appeared on the teaser of SMtown 2010. It seemed like it was only yesterday I read SM’s announcement that TVXQ will be returning as a duo. It seemed like it was only yesterday I teared up in my office when I first heard their voices in ATHENA. And it definitely seemed like it was only yesterday that I heard Keep Your Head Down for the first time and said to myself “TVXQ has returned”.

They say time flies when you are having fun, and I definitely had so much fun with TVXQ. I am not just talking about the jaw-dropping MVs, or the insanely demanding choreography, or the awesome comeback stages. Heck, I’m not even talking about that time I get to take a group picture with the boys during their fanmeet in Singapore (AND BREATHE THE FRIGGIN SAME AIR WITH THEM), I am talking about every single moment I get to spend with all the lovely friends I have made just from loving and supporting the same two boys that are so adorkable and borderline gross at times (watch the Encore Dream VCR if you don’t believe me).

I was ready for the encore to be a tear-jerking farewell event that would leave me slightly drained afterwards (I am not a big fan of crying because of how it makes me feel after tbqh). I even bought a new pack of tissues just in case! But it wasn’t (at least for me), it was beautiful, and it was definitely NOT goodbye. Both Jung and Shim made an effort to make this a happy memory for everyone. There were times where they seemed teary, but each and every time they diverted it with a joke and with a smile.

On the first day, Shim seemed to be more affected. He initiated more interactions with Jung in that “Sensei please notice me” style, his eyes were glassy during the last MCs and his insistence that they held hands at the end was just too adorable for words. Second day, Jung was the sappy one (I guess Shim realized he had a bratty reputation to keep, LOL). Towards the end his face was flushed and his eyes were red. He gave a shout out to his grandfather with a big thumb up to the sky and even thanked Shim’s parents (at this point I lost it because honestly it’s like those sappy drama moments where someone thanked their SO’s parents for bringing him/her into the world).

When they left after HUG encore, fans immediately chanted their name over and over again, even though at that time, the concert was actually really over. You can clearly tell the staffs were at a loss on what to do. They tried to guide people out, tell them to start exiting the building but quite honestly we were having none of it. I can only imagine the confusion in their minds as they reported to the boys that the fans REFUSED TO LEAVE, hhhahahahahahah.

The boys did finally come out again, and I think they were just as surprised and confused as the staffs were. It’s gonna be awhile until we see you again boys, you can’t blame us. Quite honestly I am pretty sure everyone would be happy to just camp there, LOL. It wasn’t enough (because let’s be honest here will there ever be enough?) but we were happy to see them one more time.

I don’t know what will happen this two years.. In two years I probably will submit my thesis and graduate *crossfingers*, I would get a good paying job *hopefully* and who knows, I might get a boyfriend and get married just like Shim said *yeah, not happening, TROLOLOL*. But no matter what happens, I am grateful for everything that has happened.

TVXQ has not just brought good music and awesome performances to my life, TVXQ has brought good friends (and great pizzas, wait what?) and definitely GREAT memories. A lot of people might find it ridiculous that I spend my time and money going to several days of the same concerts, but they don’t understand that a TVXQ concert is more than just a concert to me..

It’s a reunion, where friends from around the world get together to spazz and share about TVXQ. These are friends that I only get to see once every year (sometimes even more than that) but feel closer than people I meet every day at school or work. And that is the best thing about this experience. This is my T1STORY.

Boys, I am looking forward the day of your return, hopefully by then I will save enough money for you to rob me again, hahahahaha.. So this is not a goodbye, this is until we meet again. Stay safe, stay healthy and stay happy.. We are T!
