Port Angeles Highlights: Transient Orcas Near Ediz Hook Breaching Humpback Steller Sea Lions Bald Eagles Great day on the water as always! Gray skies and a little bumpy but at least we stayed dry the whole trip. As we left the harbor there were around 30 harbor seals hauled out on the beach. We then headed off to the Rock Pile to do some exploring and two lucky guests who were celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary were the first to spot a humpback blow! After a couple of blows, we got a BREACH!! We got some great looks and some tail shots before we headed off north to Race Rocks. Here we found many more harbor seals, a pair of mature bald eagles, California sea lions, Steller sea lions, and lots of cool birds. We decided to head back south and on the way we got reports of two transient killer whales less than a mile from Ediz Hook!! We got lots of time with these whales and got amazing close looks as they decided to travel west right alongside us and identified them as T125A and T128 . As they continued west we had to turn around and head back to the dock but lots of fun was had by all!
La Conner Highlights: Minke Whales Harbor Seals Bald Eagles We headed down the slough and spotted lots of eagles and blue herons passed Shelter Bay and a few harbor seals as well. Next we headed under Deception Pass and north up Rosario. Stopped at bird rocks for harbor seals and a couple steller sea lions. Then snuck in behind Decatur before continuing around Lopez to Fishermans Bay. We passed another bald eagle on a channel marker entering the bay. After lunch, it was south through Cattle Pass to Hein Bank where we conducted a heavy search then headed east passing lots of sea birds all day. We found 2 minke whales at Eastern Bank who unfortunately surfaced only a few times before giving us the slip. We continued north toward Deception Pass heading back under the bridge to the docks passing lots more eagles and herons in the slough.
Anacortes Highlights: Transient Orca Male T101A River Otter Harbor Seals Gray and flat calm all day. Headed through Guemes Channel passing a California sea lion on the marker. North up Rosario Strait. Next we stopped by Peapod Rocks to check out some harbor seals and black oystercatchers, then north to Ewing Island for Steller sea lions. North into Georgia Strait we came across T101A all by himself and got great looks as it appeared he was enthralled with the new boat! He kept coming up right off the bow! His family was further to the north but we couldn't leave our buddy. We headed home along the Lummi shoreline past Viti Rocks where we stopped and checked out a river otter who slipped into the water, harbor seals and numerous cormorants.

Transient Orca and Mount Rainier
Seattle Highlights: Transient Orcas T128 and T125A California Sea Lions Gorgeous Looks at Mt. Rainier We had beautiful weather for our Seattle tour today! We got a report of possible whales very near to downtown Seattle, so we headed south toward East Passage, spotting California sea lions and harbor seals on the way. Along the shoreline of Vashon Island we spotted to transient orca males, T128 and T125A. The two brothers were swimming a few hundred yards apart, cruising south. They were maintaining very rhythmic breathing, giving us great looks. We spent a lot of quality time with them before heading in search of other animals, looking to the South around Commencement Bay and down to Point Defiance. After exploring, we caught up with the brothers again and had our best looks at T125A under Mt. Rainer as he came right by the boat! We continued north and near Blake Island we watched as a bald eagle took flight. The clear, sunny day made for some great photo opportunities!
