Dear Gus & Magnus,

Mom is still in recovery mode, so I took you both to school. Gus was late and so the teachers weren't outside to help with dropoff. I know it's a simple task to walk from my truck to the front door, but watching him do it filled me with pride. He's getting so big.

Magnus goes through all the motions of drop-off pretty well these days, but he's still fighting tears as he goes through those motions. I know it's hard for him, but he's pushing through, so I'm proud of him too. We've moved to an 11:30am pickup every day with a plan for him to stay through naptime in the next couple of weeks. We're thinking maybe we tried to do too much too fast for him.

This is the second or third night recently when Magnus has brought me Gus's swim cap (that we thought we needed for his swim lessons) and said, "On. On. On. On. On. On." I indulged him for a while tonight and he walked around like a fish out of water before bed.
