Dear Gus & Magnus,

Mom is still in recovery mode, so I took you both to school. Gus was late and so the teachers weren't outside to help with dropoff. I know it's a simple task to walk from my truck to the front door, but watching him do it filled me with pride. He's getting so big.

Magnus goes through all the motions of drop-off pretty well these days, but he's still fighting tears as he goes through those motions. I know it's hard for him, but he's pushing through, so I'm proud of him too. We've moved to an 11:30am pickup every day with a plan for him to stay through naptime in the next couple of weeks. We're thinking maybe we tried to do too much too fast for him.

This is the second or third night recently when Magnus has brought me Gus's swim cap (that we thought we needed for his swim lessons) and said, "On. On. On. On. On. On." I indulged him for a while tonight and he walked around like a fish out of water before bed.

Frogboy Finn and Froggirl Princess Bubblegum in Reserve SCUBA Rig Training, in which our Frogboy Hero and Froggirl Heroine practice breathing out of reserve SCUBA rig air tanks - fully working backup copies of their scuba gear with full air tanks in case of underwater out of air emergencies, all part of Finn's and Princess Bubblegum's redundant air supply training - through their regulators in their mouths staged on dive buoy wirerope alongside climbing up and down said wireropes in descent and ascent to said dive buoys set up in the Sunken City!

And not to worry: all of these reserve scuba rigs are 100% full of breathable air. Nothing too serious.

And our scubaboy hero and scubagirl heroine are practicing reserve scuba rig breathing within safe rec diving depths - no deeper than 40 meters/132 feet.
