omg i am SO intrigued by horror mermay for the wip ask game!! pls pls<3

I had this idea literally yesterday, so I don't even have an outline. This was loosely inspired by the book Rolling in the Deep by Mira Grant and Rot Away With Me by sweetlikesugar on Ao3.

cws: blood, gore, body horror, cannibalism (kind of?), being eaten alive, dead dove: do not eat

It's fisherman Eddie and merman Steve. They meet in secret every dusk as Eddie finishes his day. Steve starts bringing him gifts, sings to him, basically serenades Eddie into accepting a courting offer.

He takes the blue shimmering scale, one of Steve's own, in his hands. It's beautiful. It's everything. He tells Steve he'll spend day and night hunting for a house boat or seaside home so they can be together.

Steve only wants a kiss, an easy wish to grant. Eddie's longed for one since they first met. Instead Steve leans to bite Eddie's neck, infecting him with a poison that leaves Eddie immovable and hazy.

Steve worships his mate's body with sharp teeth and strong claws, ripping his way through the flesh and sinew of his lover's legs. The snap of bones cracking rings out in the night and Steve sucks the marrow from them like a delicacy. Eddie's screams die into soft whimpers and groans as his blood soaks the deck of Wayne's boat.

He's phasing in and out, and wakes to the sound of a splash. Maybe Steve's finally left him. His boat will drift out to ocean, he'll die bleeding out on the deck. But the rigging shakes, and Steve's next to him again asking if Eddie likes his courting gift. If the choice suits him.

A freshly mauled shark tailfin lays beside him, bite marks marring where the front half should be. And as Steve forces the fin over Eddie's pelvic bones, he finally understands what Steve meant when he said they'd be together forever.

Something something Eddie didn't discover Steve, Steve was stalking him. Something something Wayne tells old fishtales warning of creatures from the deep. There's an idea in there somewhere!

THIS FIC GETS IT. SO MUCH. sukuna and gojo get trapped inside their domains, and after some days of simply letting the time pass, sukuna ends up putting his hands on gojo and forcing him to blow him, which inevitably ends in them fucking. it's so sexy, it's SOO sexy. the dynamic between them is perfect, and the fic shows the progression of them coming to terms with the fact that they're equals, and that they finally found that someone who can truly fill that gap in them, and give them what they've always needed.

First of, the writer Ammis has some absolutely incredible irredeemable villain Eddie stories that are so tough going but AMAZINGLY well written.

Then sweetlikesugar’s Creep Eddie series is just delicious. Truly truly underrated even in the dddne community. Religious imagery out the wazoo really twists the knife on all the fantastic little details in all of their stories. Definitely one of my absolute favourites.

listen..... i love her. i love this fic. it's short and an au and doesn't really go into the nitty gritty parts of kandrew but thats why i like it so much. the writer doesnt risk their hand to write it, but it still lands so gracefully u know. its heart warming and entertaining and the back and forth flirting is incredible. they are both old losers

2. joy of life by @mugglebeans

soy doesn't really write any fluff to my knowledge, but that doesn't mean joy of life doesn't land quite like it. it's a drabble so well written you don't really need anything more to get the point across, and most of it is left to imagination once it's done. i really do love daydreaming about fics i've read so if you're someone who'd enjoy something short like this, it's the very best

- i’m here (except when you’re not): i act up everytime i read this EVERY fuckign time i go crazy. please scroll down for my full review it got me FUCKED UP *****ESSENTIAL reading for any kandreil fan*****

-just short of a fairytale: extremely rare and treasured kandrew au!!!!! i also like the framing of it being set pretty fresh post-riko so u get a max Protective Andrew vibes. the last line has no business being as funny as it considering the actual content of this one is quite sad/angsty

-all we do: kandrew but make it about the near miss. quietly bittersweet......the andrew pov of this is like *hand flex pride and prejudice scene*

-any second: by same author as above the perfect example of why kandrew bitches know whats up. waiter i will take the violent clashing and quiet understanding to go please
