Pro ecommerce website package
Pro Ecommerce Website Package
The Pro ecommerce website package is a powerful tool for businesses to sell their products and services. It eliminates the constraints of physical storefronts and allows for more comprehensive product selection.
Make Architects offers architectural and interior design services internationally. The company’s homepage features large images of completed projects to grab attention and showcase its expertise.
User-friendly design
Ecommerce websites are powerful tools for businesses looking to reach a wider customer base and generate sales. However, they must be designed with the user in mind to facilitate a seamless shopping experience. Moreover, they must be fast and reliable to avoid losing customers to competitors.
To ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience, an eCommerce website must have a clear and attractive design. It must also feature responsive design that works well on all devices. It should also have a site search feature that allows customers to bypass navigation and find what they’re looking for quickly. Nordstrom, for example, has a search bar that offers quick links to popular brands and inexpensive or sale products.
Other features of an ecommerce website include the ability to process and track orders, provide personalized service, upload new product images, and create marketing campaigns. They can also be integrated with social media platforms to help businesses boost brand awareness and promote their products. Finally, they must prioritize security to build trust with customers and protect their sensitive data.
Advanced shopping cart functionality
In the modern ecommerce world, shoppers demand a seamless shopping experience. With this in mind, it’s important to ensure that your eCommerce website has robust shopping cart functionality and a secure checkout process. To help you achieve these goals, we offer a variety of affordable ecommerce packages that suit your brand’s unique needs.
In addition to enabling customers to browse your products and checkout securely, our ecommerce websites feature a customizable shopping cart system. This allows you to add and remove items, create categories, and customize fonts. It also lets you display the number of items remaining to inspire buying behavior and build trust with your customers.
X-cart offers more than 400 integrations with payment gateways and shipping carriers. Its centralized dashboard simplifies sales and product management, and its SEO tools amplify organic reach. Its scalable infrastructure provides peak performance during traffic surges, and it can handle large catalogs of products with ease. Its flexible pricing tiers allow you to start small and scale as your business grows. It can even be integrated with your CMS, which increases flexibility and speed.
Inventory management tools
Ecommerce inventory management tools help businesses keep track of the items they have in stock. They can also determine when it’s time to order more. They can do this by analyzing sales data to predict trends and future demand. This way, they can prevent overselling products that are not selling well and understocking those that are in high demand.
A good ecommerce inventory management software should also include barcode scanning integration and advanced reporting and analytics. For example, it should be able to track serial numbers, batch numbers, and expiry dates. It should also support multichannel inventory management by connecting to POS systems, marketplaces, 3PL services, and accounting tools.
A unified platform will allow you to automate and streamline your supply chain and inventory processes. This includes reducing operational friction and inefficiency while increasing customer satisfaction. It will also reduce the risk of a costly out-of-stock situation by allowing you to maintain sufficient safety stock levels. This is especially important for DTC companies. By implementing an ecommerce inventory management system, you can ensure that your customers receive their orders on time and in full.
SEO capabilities
The right ecommerce platform can help you improve your website’s SEO. Top all-in-one hosted platforms like Shopify and BigCommerce have built-in SEO features that make it easy for beginners, while open-source options offer limitless advanced customization. Look for key SEO factors like automatic sitemaps, customizable metadata, and speed when comparing platforms.
Additionally, ensure that your ecommerce website has a mobile-friendly design and responsive layouts to optimize user experience across devices. Lastly, focus on creating unique, quality content to increase your search engine rankings. This includes product descriptions, category pages, and blog posts. Additionally, optimize your page speed by compressing images, minifying code, and enabling caching.
In addition, consider choosing a platform that has SEO-friendly plugins to extend your website’s capabilities. For example, Squarespace offers an all-in-one CMS and hosted ecommerce platform that is optimized for SEO and integrates with Google Analytics. Other popular ecommerce platforms include Volusion and 3dcart, which also have built-in SEO functionality.
Marketing integrations
Ecommerce websites can help businesses reach a wider customer base and grow their revenue streams. They provide a convenient and efficient shopping experience that builds trust and enhances brand reputation. They also offer robust security features to protect customers’ personal information.
A professional eCommerce website design is a great way to attract more customers and improve conversions. However, it is important to choose the right ecommerce platform for your business. You should ensure that the platform integrates with your existing tools and software, including logistics platforms, CRMs, and email marketing. Otherwise, you will need to spend extra time and resources on integrations.
The Pro ecommerce website package is the perfect solution for small businesses selling limited products or who are looking to expand to new marketplaces. It provides a user-friendly design, advanced shopping cart functionality, inventory management tools, and SEO capabilities. It is also optimized for performance, so it will load quickly and reliably for your customers. Moreover, it offers support and maintenance that is consistent and predictable. This helps avoid learning exhaustion and allows you to focus on your business goals.

Top Data Center Trends to Watch in 2022 | Rahi
The pandemic shook the global economy with many businesses shutting down and many more going online. People started spending more time indoors using digital devices to stay connected with friends, watch Netflix, and get their work done. Organizations started adopting the work-from-home culture putting more pressure on the already stressed data market. There was a staggering 47% surge in data consumption by users and this was just the beginning. This load was taken up by data centers where all this data is stored and retrieved when needed. Let’s explore some of the trending data center trends to watch out for in the near future.
We are moving to all cloud environments!
Yes, you heard it right! There’s a massive cloud-based paradigm shift in the data center market, more businesses are opting for cloud-based architecture than ever before. Except for the fact that they both store data, cloud-based data centers differ considerably from legacy data centers.
The need for a physical data center set up at your office or by leasing a space is eliminated - everything is on a cloud now! The data saved in the cloud is encrypted and stored on cloud servers after it has been fragmented and duplicated across several locations. In the event of a breakdown, service providers safeguard the protection of your backup data and assist you in returning to service with little downtime. Enabling cloud services helps you deploy in minutes and scale at ease as demand increases.
Cloud-based solutions can be differentiated by legacy systems -
OPEX & CAPEX cost
Traditional DC installation necessitates several expenditures ranging from networking to server gear. These components need to be replaced or updated with time as with technological advancements old components become obsolete. When you utilize cloud services, you are essentially using someone else's resources; the provider assures the quality and maintenance of the system, resulting in proper resource allocation and highly optimized infrastructure management.
Ease of accessibility
Traditional DC allows for system upgrades anytime. As the system is yours, you may customize it at any moment as your business grows or if the demands surge. Accessibility is a concern with cloud-based systems; if an issue arises you need to contact the service providers, and in the event of a network outage, your data becomes unavailable.
Level of security
To maintain safety, traditional DCs use security personnel and implement numerous security measures. Since you have total control over your data, you can assure its complete protection from unauthorized access. There’s a popular belief that cloud-based hosts are vulnerable to data leaks and hackers, but in fact, they ensure that all safety precautions are in place and user data is secure. With a rise in telehealth markets and medicine going online many cloud providers are following stringent security standards like HIPAA to ensure the highest levels of security.
Easy to scale
Building a data center from the ground up takes time and money; in the future, if you decide to scale up your system, you will need to spend more, and in some cases, forklift upgrades will result in additional costs. Since you do not own any physical system in a cloud-based framework, customization and scalability are simple and straightforward. You can increase or decrease the amount of storage you want as per your needs.
Growth in hyperscale data center market
A Hyperscale Data Center is a large storage structure with its own servers, routers, storage, powerhouse, and grids. This is usually used for Big Data and cloud applications. Hyperscale is not because of its enormity but because of its scalability, as the name implies. The size of data centers is forecasted to rise exponentially in the next decade with increasing demand for data.
Increased digitization across all sectors has increased traffic in IP due to the global pandemic. By the end of 2021, it is estimated that it will reach 20.6 ZB – up 7 ZB since 2016. Many industries that previously had little or no IT infrastructure presence are now moving to a cloud-based system. Healthcare, Supply and Logistics industries, Educational institutes are all seeking cloud-based solutions. This will provide the hyperscale DCs a big boost in the near future.
Sustainability - Green data centers are here!
Tumblr media
It is not an exaggeration to claim that the future of humanity will be jeopardized if we do not adopt greener, more sustainable systems, and practices. With increased usage and reliance on IT infrastructure, everything is scaling and going ‘Hyper', bringing with it the environmental costs that come with its massive size. In coming years, we will see a considerable change in emphasis toward more sustainable data center developments.
Green and sustainable data centers will focus on –
Optimum energy consumption - DCs     consume 2% of the world's total power, increasing their carbon footprint     due to our majority reliance on fossil fuels to generate energy.     Sustainable data centers will focus on running data centers with renewable     energy sources.
Reduced water usage - Water is     a limited resource, with massive data centers dependent on water-cooled     systems; the amount of water consumed is enormous. Anticipating the effect     of 8.6 million data centers worldwide on water resources is impossible.     Green data centers are being developed that rely on air-cooled systems.     Underwater data centers are also being developed that will be cooled     naturally from seawater.
Focus on e-waste Management - A large     Data Center requires millions of components to operate, and they become     obsolete in 5-10 years, generating inconceivable amounts of e-waste. This     is not a common issue with commercial electronics, but it is something to     consider when designing more agile devices that can survive longer without     being redesigned.
Data centers are currently trying to operate on renewable energy in order to maximize resource usage and decrease environmental consequences. The trend will continue, and we will witness a surge in development in sustainable components with increased performance.
Remote management of data center infrastructure
A data center operates continuously and never stops; it requires the physical presence of technicians and datacenter administrators to ensure that it functions with no or little downtime. Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) was the only answer with everyone trapped in a room due to the pandemic.
One of the most recent and important developments coming out due to Covid-19 in Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM), which allows companies to manage their IT infrastructure remotely in portions or entirely. Remote monitoring of security and network services, desktop administration, database, and server management are all part of RIM.
Zoom and similar unified communication technologies were deployed to virtually manage the repair and maintenance of the data centers, with only server replacements requiring physical presence. This has resulted in the deployment of machines for data center automation, where they may be trained to conduct replacement and maintenance activities as needed.
The years 2020-21 demonstrated the relevance of data in accommodating distant employees and clients. Increased digitization necessitated more efficient and smoother Data Centers that deliver excellent performance for IT operations. With emerging server and storage technologies and developing companies, the importance of data centers has significantly expanded, and 2022 will be a major turning point for the data center industry following the long-term consequences of the pandemic.

Gaming platforms have seen nearly 50% growth in new user registrations after Covid': Ronald Landers
The gaming industry has been creating abundant direct and indirect jobs owing to the exponential growth in the number of users post Covid. Marketing and capitalisation in the industry has also witnessed a boom. Gaming Federation's CEO, Roland Landers, opens up on the rising trends in the gaming industry, giving insights about the need for a regulatory body, advertising in games, and more. Landers shares that the Indian online gaming industry is flourishing in terms of users, revenue and investments.
Rising trends of the online gaming industry over the years
The online gaming sector in India has witnessed an exponential growth in the last few years. It has started growing rapidly and now has a user base of around 360 million which is projected to grow faster than the global online gaming segment. Online gaming and streaming have seen a new boom, the gameplay has increased three folds on the online platform and many online skill gaming platforms are reporting three times more user engagement and higher traffic in mobile gaming. Some of the biggest trends in 2021 have been:
• Gaming is becoming more interactive, immersive and social
• Gaming technologies are becoming more affordable
• The emphasis has shifted to localized themes and games. Many indigenous game developers are building titles in multiple local languages for customized content
• The introduction of cloud gaming services Arcade and Stadia
• Advancement in augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR)
• Smartphone penetration with affordable & faster data
• Growth of Digital ecosystem for payments
• Growing investments in the sector
• Increased recognition and growing popularity amongst the youngsters have made it a valuable career option
This phenomenal change in online gaming has given way to numerous tech trends which will be ruling the roost in the coming years.
What do you think of having a centralized regulatory body to avoid stakeholder violations?
Currently, the gaming industry follows a self-regulatory model which incorporates the necessary checks and balances to ensure sufficient responsible gaming and protection of gamers. Regulating this sunrise sector can boost investment trends in states, create jobs, and contribute economically.
The Indian gaming industry over the years has been working to bring due attention to this sunrise sector. As an industry body, AIGF has been at the forefront of ensuring global best practices for its stakeholders through the self-regulation skill games charter that covers all aspects of the online business process. AIGF’s self-regulatory mechanism needs to be recognized and strengthened for uniformity.
Some of the initiatives that need to be considered are; Instead of taking restrictive actions against online skill gaming, States should aim to collaborate positively with industry stakeholders to develop a regulatory model that is in the best interest of all parties involved. AIGF and its advisory panel of domain experts will be very happy to assist in playing a consultative role with the relevant policy makers for the same.
A look at technological progress, a game-changer for the online gaming industry
The Indian online gaming industry is thriving in terms of users, revenue, investments, etc. The increased use of pocket-friendly gadgets like smartphones made it easy to access data whilst the proliferation of digital payment applications has benefited the growth of this industry. The unrelenting ‘Covid’ pandemic was in reality a test of the sector’s robustness and determination to grow despite the constraints.
India is predominantly a smartphone-first market, with audiences preferring mobile gaming and esports over other devices. With the passage of time, the Indian online gaming industry has matured, and players are branching out beyond handheld devices. Moreover, the amelioration of technology has further influenced online gaming, to the point that certain gamers have softened the boundaries between realism and fiction.
This industry is driven profusely by Mobile Gaming technology and in recent years, the advancement of innovations such as machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR), among others have intensified.
Technology innovations are changing the world with the market metamorphosing and expanding through many of its verticals, including e-sports, fantasy sports, card games, and other skill-based education.
However, as the industry evolves, self-regulating industry bodies like the AIGF must enforce their responsible gaming guidelines covering minor gameplay, security, data safety, content guidelines, etc.
How has the lockdown impacted the growth of the gaming industry?
Yes, the gaming industry in India saw a surge during the lockdown last year. The number of games played and hours spent online had shot up. The gaming platforms had seen approximately 50% growth in new user registrations and also witnessed around a 20% increase in terms of daily active users.
Furthermore, Online gaming continues to see a rise and the segment will further grow across all its verticals viz, esports, fantasy sport, casual gaming, and other games of skill. Though in my opinion, revenue growth will be led by mobile-based real-money gaming applications across these verticals.
How have the gaming apps transitioned? What attracts brands to this segment and what kind of brands capitalize on the same?
The scope of the AIGF covers all forms of Online Skill Gaming that are subscription based (ORMG). However, for the leading youth-centric brands, advertisement-led online gaming platforms happen to be the topmost on their media plans considering the overlap in the target audience.

Social Shorts: Creative highlights, Quora queries, Twitter ad data, Facebook’s newest app
(Beyond social) creative moments that caught our attention
Audi x We Are Social takes viewers on a virtual road trip. With much of the world on lockdown, Audi Australia in partnership with creative agency We Are Social jumped on the opportunity to recreate a scenic drive for those stuck at home. The four-hour, slow TV-style video – shot inside and around an Audi A6 sedan – takes viewers through Australia’s countryside, complete with weather changes throughout the journey. True to the times, director Luke Bouchier employed multiple cameras with four crewmembers in four separate cars to capture the footage, while composer John Hassell scored the track from his own home in France. Source: AdAge
William Grant & Sons opens a virtual bar. Scotch whiskey distillery William Grant & Sons is shaking up its stay-at-home routine by bringing the bar to people at home. The 1887 Virtual Bar (named for the year the family-owned company was founded) will feature weekly guests as hosts and bartenders. The first experience will take place on Zoom this week, and will include Hendrick’s Gin ambassador Charmaine Thio and Glenfiddich’s Brett Bayly as recurring hosts. It’s a refreshing example of how brands like WG&S are finding opportunities to connect with audiences while keeping the brand spirit alive despite restrictions around in-person gatherings. IKEA’s instruction manual for staying home. To amplify the public message to stay home during this crisis, the Swedish retailer released its own step-by-step guide for what to do in a pandemic. The guide looks a lot like IKEA’s typical instruction manual – branding and all – only, the words “Stay Home” are displayed above a house. Instead of listing tools to build the pictured house, the manual shows a key, a lock and 100 rolls of toilet paper. Below that, a graphic of a closed door shows a checkmark while an open door shows an “x,” indicating what NOT to do. The instructions were posted on IKEA Israel’s Facebook page and were created in partnership with agency McCann Tel-Aviv Israel. “It’s really not complex – just staying at home,” reads the post. Quora users are looking for answers on productivity tools
Source: Quora. Methodology:Percent increases are calculated using global answer views over the last three weeks (3/8/20 – 3/28/20) compared to the three weeks prior (2/16/20 – 3/7/20).
Quora’s head of marketing agency, JD Prater, highlighted trends around how users (and brands) are engaging on Quora during this time of crisis. “From productivity tools to self-improvement activities to video conferencing, it’s obvious we’re all doing our best to settle into this new normal,” he noted.
In particular, he outlines the brands that are seeing a trending spike in engagement on the question-and-answer platform. “Several productivity tools are breaking through the noise and earning a lot of attention on Quora. Microsoft Teams rocketed up 310% while their primary competitor Slack was up 19%. No surprise here that popular video conferencing apps GoToMeeting, Zoom, WebEx, and Skype are seeing nice increases in views,” Prater wrote.
Twitter’s bot problem persists, Zoom vows to improve its platform amid surge in usage
Zoom pledges to improve systems, ramp up security. With the global workforce scrambling to WFH, video conferencing platform Zoom is feeling the pressure as usage skyrockets. Zoom has acknowledged the cracks in its system and announced plans to continue improving its platform, protecting user security, and supporting the surge in traffic. In a blog post last week, Zoom wrote, “These new use cases have helped us uncover unforeseen issues with our platform… We appreciate the scrutiny and questions we have been getting – about how the service works, about our infrastructure and capacity, and about our privacy and security policies. These are the questions that will make Zoom better, both as a company and for all its users.” Source: Zoom. Why we care: As marketers, communication is critical – even more so in times like these. Zoom’s commitment to making productivity changes for the better is an improvement that we can all benefit from.
Twitter bots are alive and well – and fueled by politics. Bots and fake accounts have been a long time headache for Twitter users, but the problem doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Fake profiles and bots account for anywhere between 5% to 15% of total users, Social Media Today notes, but their presence has an even bigger impact. Social media analysts have called out swarms of bot accounts being used for malicious purposes, such as amplifying political messages or mass retweeting to drown out opposing views. Source: Social Media Today. Why we care: Despite Twitter working to address the issue through various measures (like bulk removal of fake accounts), the issue is still a red flag for users and brands. As told by Social Media Today, “banning political ads on the platform is one thing, but banning bot swarms would likely have a much bigger positive impact in the case of tweets.”
Facebook’s app for couples, Twitter shares more data with advertisers and TikTok’s latest legal troubles
Facebook has a new app for couples. Earlier this week, the tech giant quietly released a new app for couples called Tuned, developed by Facebook’s New Product Experimentation team. It takes on a messaging app appearance and is designed to help romantic partners communicate via text, voice messages, photos, and songs. Source: The Information. Why we care: The app abides by Facebook’s data policy, which allows user information to be collected for ad targeting purposes.
Twitter is sharing more data with advertisers. Twitter alerted users with a pop-up this week that it’s passing more data to advertisers in order to help prove the effectiveness of ads on its platform. As part of the effort, Twitter removed a privacy setting that users could toggle to prevent Twitter from sharing information (such as ads views and your device ID). For most users, that information will now be shared by default and can’t be turned off. Source: The Verge. Why we care: According to Twitter, this move helps verify that people are actually watching, interacting with, and otherwise seeing the ads that advertisers are paying for, which helps the company “continue operating as a free service.” For advertisers, this means more measurable data which could drive stronger ad performance. Suddenly, advertising on Twitter makes sense.
Publishers threaten to sue TikTok over music licensing issues. TikTok has taken measures to reduce the amount of copyrighted music on its platform, but the Chinese-owned app still has a long way to go. According to the Financial Times, the National Music Publishers Association is threatening legal action against TikTok, and rumor has it that Universal Music Publishing Group is considering doing the same. Source: Financial Times. Why we care: TikTok is still a young platform, and will likely continue to experience legal growing pains – especially with music as a core feature of its platform. Brands on TikTok should keep an eye on the music they use (especially in campaigns). Or, do what e.l.f. cosmetics did – and make your own track.
Facebook rolls out Quiet Mode, Instagram brings DMs to the web
Quiet time on Facebook. Facebook has released a new feature called Quiet Mode last week, which lets users mute all notifications in an attempt to promote downtime away from the screen. It will continue rolling out for iOS users through the next month, and it will be available for Android users starting in May.Source: VentureBeat. Why we care. Quiet Mode complements Facebook’s other efforts to offer relief in the time of COVID-19. It’s coupled with the app’s ‘Your Time’ feature as part of Facebook’s well-being suite that launched back in 2018. The ability to mute all notifications signals a broader push to address growing concerns about the impact of technology on mental health – especially during a time of crisis.
Instagram now shows DMs on desktop. As a long-awaited feature sought after by businesses, creators, and users alike, Instagram is finally bringing direct messages to its desktop browser site. Instagram announced the move on Friday, stating that users globally will now be able to access DMs on the web. Source: The Verge. Why we care: Desktop DMs have been in beta since January, and the platform has gradually added small features to mirror the DM experience users are already familiar with on the app. For marketers in particular, the ability to access DMs directly from the computer means one less step when connecting with audiences or customers.

True to the times, director Luke Bouchier employed multiple cameras with four crewmembers in four separate cars to capture the footage, while composer John Hassell scored the track from his own home in France.
Methodology: Percent increases are calculated using global answer views over the last three weeks (3/8/20 – 3/28/20) compared to the three weeks prior (2/16/20 – 3/7/20).
It will continue rolling out for iOS users through the next month, and it will be available for Android users starting in May. Source: VentureBeat.

LoRa and LoRaWAN
We live in an age where IoT is a growing phenomenon, and therefore we often come across terms like LoRa and LoRaWAN. Most people use these terms interchangeably as they seem alike. However, this is not perfectly true as they have some differences. In this article, we will take a look at the pertaining differences between LoRa and LoRaWAN. We will also look at some of their prospective applications, and prominent benefits.
Before understanding the key differences, we will have to develop a keen understanding of some essential terminologies.
IoT Devices and PHY
A telecommunication device operates in layers when we integrate it into an IoT network. The PHY or commonly known as the physical layer is responsible for determining the parameters for data transfer operations. Then it establishes a connection to the data link layer which is also commonly known as the data link layer. Hence, this data transfer layer establishes the protocols for transmitting the required data to the nearby nodes.
A Contrast among LoRa and LoRaWAN
1. LoRa is a signal which operates on radio frequency
LoRa is a long-range signal which is based on radio frequency. It is embedded in any IoT device’s PHY layer. LoRa is developed and owned by Semtech which is a company based in California. You can use a LoRa modem for converting any data set into this radio frequency signal.
We can create variations in the LoRa signal as per the messages or data sets it is carrying. For this purpose, we use CSS (Chirp Spread Spectrum) which is a modulation technique. LoRa is effective at harnessing the full channel bandwidth during data transmission. Therefore, it is more immune to noise and fluctuations.
There are many popular radio frequency signals available today. For example, Wi-Fi, BLE, Bluetooth, etc. However, LoRa is famous for its superior communication range, enhanced receiver sensitivity, and large data transmitting capabilities. Hence, LoRa is ideal for implementing robust IoT applications over wide areas.
2. LoRaWAN connects the IoT application with the signal
LoRaWAN is embedded in any device’s data transfer layer. It allows LoRa signal to link with the IoT application we want. LoRaWAN helps us control the network architecture and data transmitting protocols. Hence, we are better able to determine the service quality, remaining battery span of the connected nodes, capabilities and capacity of the network, and possible security vulnerabilities and the type of applications that are under usage.
LoRaWAN complements the radio frequency signals of LoRa. Therefore, we are able to create economical, bi-directional, low powered, long-range, IoT solutions that we can deploy in scenarios involving wide ranges. LoRaWAN requires fewer gateways for establishing any network. This is a prominent reason why LoRaWAN is gaining popularity for deployments in applications like Smart cities etc.
LoRa and LoRaWAN, the forerunners of the upcoming LPWAN ecosystem
With the growing trend of IoT, we are seeing more and more LPWAN deployments. Many tech giants and IoT companies are relying heavily on LPWAN for various applications. And it is interesting to see that more and more companies are deploying LoRa and LoRaWAN based use cases.
MOKOSmart and tech experts believe that LoRa and LoRaWAN will keep gaining popularity. There are many reasons for this rapid growth and we will take a look at some of them.
The industrial sector is switching towards smart and automated solutions. Therefore, a surge in dependence on IoT connectivity is frequently observed.
With growing safety concerns, more and more people are looking for reliable alternatives. So, they turn towards LoRa and LoRaWAN because they promise improved security with the strongest possible encryption standards.
LoRa and LoRaWAN operate on free bandwidths. Therefore, they are more accessible. Hence, more people prefer to adopt them instead of conventional and expensive alternatives.
LoRa and LoRaWAN are becoming the de facto standard for large scale and wide area IoT deployments. This growing community ensures an ecosystem of innovation that encourages everyone to switch to a more trustworthy solution.
Groundbreaking Benefits of LoRa and LoRaWAN
There are many groundbreaking benefits of LoRa and LoRaWAN. However, here we will take a look at only a few of them.
Long range capabilities make it possible to implement innovative solutions like smart city applications.
They require low power hence it ensures that the connected IoT devices will have longer battery life.
Their low bandwidth makes it perfect for IoT deployments which are practical. This is because such deployments require fewer data transmissions or the data transfer isn’t constant. For instance, if you are installing an IoT application for waste management and just want to know whether a particular waste bin is full or not then LoRa and LoRaWAN are perfect for the job. Similarly, if you just want to know whether a particular parking spot is free or not in a smart parking deployment then LoRa and LoRaWAN are ideal for the job.
These are very economical solutions. Hence, you will incur much lower connectivity costs.
They are easier to set up as compared to other technologies. Additionally, they are faster to deploy as well.
These have two security layers. One layer is dedicated to the network and the other is dedicated to the application. Both feature AES encryption hence you will have the assurance that you won’t have any security vulnerabilities.
They allow for complete bi-directional transmission and communication.
These operate on an open standard that is protected under and open LoRa alliance.
The role of LoRa and LoRaWAN in the IoT sector
Many renowned telecom companies rely on LoRa. These are ideal for communications between several data gathering systems involving IoT devices. Such communications involve large data transmissions which happen frequently after set intervals.
These have much more to offer them their competitor technologies that is why they are gaining popularity. Most of the other technologies such as Sigfox operate on ultranarrow bandwidths that is why they are much more expensive and inaccessible. Therefore, it is not practical to deploy these other technologies for large scale wide area IoT applications. On top of that, other technologies are much more prone to noise and frequency fluctuations. However, LoRa and LoRaWAN are relatively immune to these.
Most key players in the IoT industry are looking to develop products and solutions for IoT applications involving large distances, low power consumption, and large data transfers. Therefore, more and more prototypes based on LoRa and LoRaWAN are in the design phase. A recent study conducted by a renowned researcher and his students at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) concluded that approximately 78% of future IoT applications and deployments will involve the use of LoRa and LoRaWAN at some point. He argued that the primary reason for this is that LoRa and LoRaWAN require less power and are more economical. Hence, they will meet our future energy demands and will offer a sustainable solution.
Possibilities of using LoRa and LoRaWAN
There are numerous possibilities for using LoRa and LoRaWAN. However, key players are only interested in certain sectors and they are only investigating the most promising probabilities. Some of these involve the development of smart parking lots, smart traffic and waste management, remote metering, safer homes and buildings, better supply chain and logistics, convenient and productive farming, efficient mining, and automated manufacturing.
Simply put, LoRaWAN is ideal for many industrial IoT applications involving the interest of private corporations and government entities. LoRaWAN has the capability to offer amazing solutions that are much more economical in comparison to the likes of Wi-Fi and cellular connections.
Use cases of LoRa and LoRaWAN
In this section, we will take a brief look at some of the unique and prominent use cases. These are as follows.
Minol Zenner Uses LoRaWAN in the housing and utility industries in Germany
This is a sub-application of smart and innovative metering. They have developed a solution based on LoRaWAN which can make it easier to perform remote metering. They are currently working on making it compliant with legal standards. Talks are underway to deploy this smart metering system. It will considerably reduce the metering cost and turn the metering process into an automatic one.
Apana’s Smart Water Management System
They recently deployed this system so that they could easily monitor their water usage and water levels at all times. Before the deployment of this system, they had no way of knowing their current water usage. Apana’s Smart Water Management System not only detects water usage and remaining water levels but it also detects and monitors any possible water leakages. Hence, it is capable of preventing any major water loss and therefore it allows for considerable cost reduction. This system is so efficient because it is based on LoRaWAN. Hence, its efficiency and excellent performance support the assertion that LoRaWAN is, in fact, the most reliable IoT technology out there.
MOKOSmart’s GPS tracker
MOKOSmart is a well-known name in the market of LoRaWAN devices. We have a significant market share in the global service sector. We take pride in quick and safe deliveries of shipments and packages ordered through them. We provide live updates and real-time tracking of the packages while they are being delivered.
We accomplish this by using our GPS tracker. Beagle provides extremely accurate and precise GPS tracking of any shipment or package. The real-time tracking is so simple that it is very easy for customers to use even if they have no prior experience with IoT. Our GPS tracker is developed by using LoRa and it transmits and processes data through the use of LoRaWAN protocols. It deploys in less than one minute and notifies the customers about the location of their package at all times. Hence, it helps in fighting against asset thefts and combats supply chain disruptions.
ComplianceMate for food monitoring
Laird Connectivity and CM Systems are independent IoT firms that are working on coming up with unique and sustainable IoT solutions. They recently developed a product known as ComplianceMate. Its primary purpose is to monitor the nutritious content of food and notifying the concerned people if it is unhealthy to eat. Food retailers can integrate ComplianceMate in their refrigerators, food containers, or storage units. So, the ComplianceMate will detect the storage temperature and will notify the retailer if it is unsafe or if the food is at the risk of contamination.
Food retailers often struggle with food wastage due to inappropriate storing or ineffective storage temperatures. ComplianceMate can eliminate this problem by suggesting effective temperatures for food storage and by notifying the retailer if there is any risk of contamination. ComplianceMate is based on LoRa and therefore it proves that LoRaWAN is an effective technology for prospective applications in commercial kitchens.
KotahiNet Connects the Cook Islands
KotahiNet has developed a LoRaWAN based network which is providing a smart sensing infrastructure to the Cook Islands. Therefore, private businesses and government entities are able to analyze and collect data from the environment. Hence, they are able to make smarter decisions about their limited island resources and extensive business operations.
KotahiNet is dedicated to using recurring patterns in nature to collect the relevant data. Therefore, it is able to provide a dedicated wireless network throughout New Zealand which is built by using LoRaWAN. They are also providing related services and products which are operational on their network.

The advent of personalization and bundling of services in the carrier Wi-Fi market is expected to further accentuate the market. For instance, some service providers offer popular options of bundling of Wi-Fi services with broadband. The market has also seen some providers engaged in upselling to higher-tier service plans enabled by carrier Wi-Fi technology, in order to gain a competitive edge over others. The deployment of the technology in enterprises has been essentially driven by their role by reducing churn percentage points, thereby facilitating their acquisition strategies and boosting their overall revenue. In addition, the advent of cost-effective Wi-Fi services that offer flexibility in securing indoor net coverage for subscribers also bodes well for the market in the coming years.
Report Overview @ https://www.transparencymarketresearch.com/carrier-wifi-market.html
Wi-Fi technology is being rapidly implemented in a range of devices like smartphones, tablets, phablets and other consumer electronics. The rise in adoption of mobile equipments and increased use of Wi-Fi over these electronic devices has resulted in sharp rise in wireless data traffic. This makes service providers struggle for increased network demand and upgraded network capacity to ensure smooth wireless connectivity. A conventional cellular network uses macro cells that make it an inadequate solution for the endless requirements of Wi-Fi and the rising influx of mobile broadband data traffic. Thus, wireless service providers are moving traffic away from their cellular networks to carrier Wi-Fi which uses small cell technology and addresses the capacity and congestion needs of today’s wireless subscribers. Carrier Wi-Fi can be applied in locations like community Wi-Fi implementations and public hotspot deployments such as cafes, campuses and universities.
Security on open networks has always been of a prime concern to end-users as well as service providers all over the globe. Unprotected Wi-Fi networks, particularly in public places, are most certainly a threat. Carrier Wi-Fi offers carrier grade security meaning the Wi-Fi network is hardened to protect it from common security threats such as virus, spam spoofing and spyware among others. This is compelling the demand of carrier Wi-Fi which in turn is motivating the growth of the carrier Wi-Fi market.
