why dhikr is important
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
it brings you closer to Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ
the pleasure of Allah is achieved - "the pleasure of Allah is the greatest of all" (9:72)
it comforts the heart - "it is in the remembrance of Allah that hearts can find comfort" (13:29)
when one remembers Allah and is absolutely certain that He has unlimited powers and can and will remove any hardship, the heart feels less anxious.
Allah becomes the Friend of the one who remembers Him - "remember Me, and I will remember you" (2:153)
the heart is strengthened and you develop the power to battle evil and be successful - "O believers! when you face an enemy, stand firm and remember Allah often so you may prosper" (8:46)
the prayer of one who remembers Allah is accepted. surah Fatihah, for eg, is a prayer but it begins with dhikr - 'alhamdulilah' and remembers his attributes, like 'ar-Rahman,' 'ar-Raheem' and then the prayer is made.
your love for Allah will grow as you are constantly thinking about Him and He is inside your heart
it drives Shaytan's whispers out from the heart
it gives you patience through trials as you understand Allah is always there
it removes worry and sadness from one's heart
it provides the chance to enter through the eighth gate of Jannah: 'Baab al-Dhikr' - for the believers who constantly remembered Allah
it is a noor for you on the day of judgement that will keep you steady on the sirat (bridge that guides you to Jannah)
'a man does nothing to rescue himself from Allah's punishment better than remembering Allah' (hadith)
'everything has a polish, and the polish for hearts is the remembrance of God. nothing is more calculated to rescue from God's punishment than remembrance of God' (hadith)
it shows gratitude to Allah - which He loves
you will accept that He has power over everything which will make you trust Him more
your mind will focus continuously on Allah which will motivate you to live your life by the Qur'an and sunnah to please Him more
it creates love of Islam in one's heart
it protects you from harm
the angels surround all four sides of any gathering in which Allah is being remembered and rain down His mercy upon it
it helps you with hardship and trials taken for the sake of Allah
"remembrance of Allah indeed is the greatest virtue" (29:46).

Tafsir Ibn Kathir: Surah Taha 71-72-73
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
20:71 (Fir`awn) said: "Believe you in him before I give you permission! Verily, he is your chief who has taught you magic. So I will surely cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you on the trunks of date palms, and you shall surely know which of us can give the severe and more lasting torment.''
20:72 They said: "We prefer you not over what have come to us of the clear signs and to Him (Allah) Who created us. So, decree whatever you desire to decree, for you can only' decree (regarding) this life of the world.''
20:73 "Verily, we have believed in our Lord, that He may forgive us our faults, and the magic to which you did compel us.
And Allah is better as regards reward in comparison to your reward, and more lasting.''
Fir`awn's turning against the Magicians, His threatening Them and Their Reply Allah, the Exalted, informs of Fir`awn's disbelief, obstinance, transgression and haughtiness against the truth in favor of falsehood. When he saw what he saw of the magnificent miracle and the great sign, and he saw those whose help he sought accept faith in the presence of all of the people, and he was absolutely defeated, he began to behave arrogantly and cast accusations. He resorted to using his esteemed honor and might against the magicians.
(Fir`awn) said: "Believe you in him (Musa), This means, "Do you have faith in him!''
Then he said a statement that he, the magicians and all creatures knew was a forgery and an utter lie.
Verily, he is your chief who has taught you magic.
Surely, this is a plot which you have plotted in the city to drive out its people, but you shall come to know. (7:123)
So I will surely cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you on the trunks of date palms, meaning, "I will certainly make an example of you, I will kill you in a public execution.''
Ibn Abbas said, "Thus, he was the first person to ever do this (public execution, crucifixion).''
This was reported by Ibn Abi Hatim. And you shall surely know which of us can give the severe and more lasting torment.
This means, "You say that my people and I are astray and that you (magicians), Musa and his people are following correct guidance, but you will come to know who will be punished and remain punished.''
So when he attacked with this and threatened them, their souls eased them because of their belief in Allah, the Mighty and Sublime.
They said: "We prefer you not over what have come to us of the clear signs...'' meaning, "We do not chose you over the guidance and conviction that we have received.”
It could be that they were swearing, "By He Who has created us.''
It also could be connected in meaning to the clear signs mentioned before it. In this case it would mean, "We do not prefer you over our Originator and Creator, Who produced us from a beginning that was nothing. He created us from clay (or mud).
Therefore, He alone deserves worship and humility and you do not (Fir`awn)!''
So decree whatever you desire to decree, "Do whatever you wish and whatever your hands are able to achieve.''
Verily, we have believed in our Lord, that He may forgive us our faults, "Whatever evils that we did.'' It specifically means, `which we were forced to do of magic, in order to oppose the sign of Allah and the miracle of His Prophet.' Ibn Abi Hatim recorded that Ibn Abbas said concerning Allah's statement, "Fir`awn took forty boys from the Children of Israel and commanded that they be taught magic at Al-Farama.
We have believed in our Lord, that He may forgive us our faults, and the magic to which you did compel us.'' Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam said the same.
And Allah is better as regards reward in comparison to your reward, and more lasting.
It is apparent that Fir`awn (may Allah curse him) was bent upon their punishment, and that what he did to them was a mercy from Allah for them. This is why Ibn Abbas and others of the Salaf said, "They woke up in that morning as magicians, but they became witnesses of faith by the evening.''

🌺 ❛And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds, then verily, he repents towards Allah with true repentance.❜ 【Surah al-Furqan 25:71】
This aayah comes across my mind when I think of the act of apologizing.
When we’ve made a mistake, and we want to apologize to the person whom we’ve wronged, just saying “I’m sorry” is insufficient.
When we say "Sorry", but we don’t follow up our apology with the necessary actions, that sorry is not valid.
Words with no action is manipulation.
Apologies without change is manipulation.
And this is among the reasons why I find this aayah profoundly beautiful. Allah says that those who repent, and then they do good deeds, are the ones whom have actually repented. Allah teaches us that we need to match our words with actions in order for our repentance to be accepted.
This is similar with our interaction with people as well. We have to match our sorry with our actions. So many friendships cannot heal and have crumbled because people do not take ownership of their fault, and do not acknowledge the hurt and mistrust that they’ve caused; worst of all — without stopping the actual wrongdoing itself. They just keep on doing, and taking and stealing.
But Allah teaches us in this aayah the importance of sincerity and accountability. When we apologize genuinely, and we follow it up with actions that reflect our remorse and commitment to change, we’re showing how much we value the friendship and that person’s feelings. This not only leads to healing, but also helps us to mature, to grow spiritually, and to gain the rida of Allah.
To reiterate the beauty of this aayah, this aayah is actually part of the passage regarding the Ibadur-Rahman, the special servants of Ar-Rahman, who are known for their amazing akhlaaq.
May Allah make us one of the Ibadur-Rahman, and protect us from those who are selfish, insincere, untruthful, and dishonest.

The Poison of Envy: Trusting in Allah's Wisdom
Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem.
Envy (Hasad) is indeed a destructive emotion, one that can consume a person and lead them toward feelings of resentment and hatred. It often occurs when we see someone receiving blessings or provisions that we don't have, and we start questioning: "Why them and not me?" This burning feeling, the desire to see another's blessing disappear, is the root of envy.
We see this destructive emotion in the story of Qabil (Cain) and Habil (Abel). Qabil became envious of his brother Habil when Allah accepted Habil’s sacrifice but not his. This envy led Qabil to murder his own brother. Allah recounts this event in the Qur'an:
"فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُ نَفْسُهُ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ" "So his soul prompted him to kill his brother, and he killed him and became among the losers." Quran 5:30
Envy drove Qabil to commit a heinous sin. This shows the extent to which envy can corrupt the soul. Now, let's reflect on another major incident of envy in the story of Adam (alaihi as-salam) and Iblis. When Allah commanded the angels and Iblis to prostrate to Adam, Iblis refused out of arrogance and envy. Iblis believed he was superior to Adam because he was made of fire while Adam was made of clay:
"قَالَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِن طِينٍ" "[Iblis] said, 'I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay.'" Quran 7:12
Iblis couldn't tolerate the honor given to Adam (alaihi as-salam), and his envy led him to disobey Allah. In both stories—Qabil and Habil and Iblis and Adam—the underlying sin was envy, a feeling of being unworthy of someone else's blessings, and in turn, questioning Allah's wisdom and justice.
Now, reflect on the logic behind envy. When you see someone who has been blessed—whether with beauty, wealth, intelligence, or success—you may start questioning: "Why them? Why not me?" You begin to feel entitled to their blessing and, like Iblis, you use your own logic to justify your feelings. But who are we to decide who deserves what? It is Allah who allocates provisions and blessings:
"إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا بَصِيرًا" "Indeed, your Lord extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]. Indeed, He is ever, concerning His servants, Acquainted and Seeing." Quran 17:30
Allah, in His infinite wisdom, gives what He knows is best for each of us. Sometimes, we may not understand why someone else receives a particular blessing while we don't, but this is where Tawakkul (trust in Allah) comes into play.
The Story of Khidr and Musa (Alaihi as-Salam):
A beautiful example of this is found in Surah Al-Kahf, where Prophet Musa (alaihi as-salam) was shown incidents by Khidr that initially seemed unjust. One such event was when Khidr repaired a wall in a village where the people had refused to offer them any hospitality. Musa (alaihi as-salam) questioned why Khidr would help such people. Khidr explained that beneath the wall was a treasure belonging to orphans, and by fixing the wall, he was protecting their inheritance until they were old enough to claim it:
"وَأَمَّا ٱلۡجِدَارُ فَكَانَ لِغُلَـٰمَيۡنِ يَتِيمَيۡنِ فِي ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ وَكَانَ تَحۡتَهُۥ كَنزٞ لَّهُمَا وَكَانَ أَبُوهُمَا صَـٰلِحٗا" "As for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the city, and beneath it was a treasure for them; and their father had been righteous..." Quran 18:82
This story teaches us that Allah's wisdom is beyond our comprehension. While we may see someone receiving blessings and wonder why, the reality could be something we are not privy to. Just like the people in the village, we might think someone undeserving is getting something good, but in reality, Allah has a hidden reason that benefits others or serves a greater purpose.
Lessons from the Story of the Quraysh and the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam):
The Meccan Quraysh refused to accept the message of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) partly because of their envy. They could not accept that someone from among them—not from the wealthiest or most powerful tribes—was chosen as the final messenger of Allah. They asked, "Why him? Why not us?" But Allah chose Muhammad (peace be upon him) because of his purity of heart and truthfulness, qualities far more important than wealth or status.
"وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡقَرۡيَتَيۡنِ عَظِيمٍ" "And they said, 'Why was this Qur'an not sent down upon a great man from [one of] the two cities?'" Quran 43:31
Like Qabil, they questioned Allah’s wisdom, which only led to their downfall. If only they had accepted the Prophet’s message, they would have received immeasurable blessings.
How to Combat Envy:
When you feel the burning sensation of envy, remember that Allah knows what is best for each of His servants. Instead of letting envy take root, do what the Prophet (peace be upon him) advised:
Make du’a for others: If you see someone with a blessing, make du’a for Allah to increase them in that blessing. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:“If any one of you sees something in his brother that pleases him, let him pray for blessing for him, and not envy him.” (Ibn Majah)
The angels will pray for you: When you make du’a for others, the angels respond by making the same du’a for you. This is a win-win situation—your heart stays pure, and you receive blessings as well.
Tawakkul: Trust that Allah is the best planner, and that whatever you have is exactly what you need to succeed in this world and the next.
"وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ" "And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him." Quran 65:3
Remember that Satan is disappointed: Every time you resist envy and pray for others, you
are disappointing Shaytan, who thrives on creating jealousy and hatred among people. By staying content and making du’a for others, you not only protect your heart from the poison of envy but also bring peace to your soul.
Envy is an emotion that can lead to destructive behavior, just as it did with Qabil and Iblis. However, Islam teaches us to combat envy by recognizing that Allah is the best planner and that He alone decides who receives what. Instead of questioning Allah’s wisdom, we should place our trust in Him, remain content with what we have, and pray for others to receive more blessings. By doing so, we not only protect ourselves from the harmful effects of envy but also draw closer to Allah and invite His mercy into our lives.
The next time you feel the stirrings of envy, make du’a for the person, and remember that what Allah has given them does not diminish what He can give you. Trust that Allah’s plan is the best for you, and He knows exactly what you need in this life and the hereafter.

Does the duty of taking care old parents belong to son and his wife?
Looking after the old mother and father is a duty for their children, not for daughters-in-law or sons-in-law.
There will always be some troubles in societies or people that Islam is not practiced properly. We need to cure these troubles with the Quran and Islam.
When Islam evaluates situations, it considers them in terms of being fard (obligatory) or haram (forbidden). That is, it expresses matters as “it is forbidden or it is not forbidden”.
For this reason, something that is not obligatory does not mean that it does not have to be done. For example, in the sect Hanafi, the prayer (salat) done without reading the Surah al-Fatiha is valid. However, reading al-Fatiha in the prayer is wajib (compulsory). It means leaving to do a wajib act does not invalidate the prayer. It does not mean that the prayer can be performed without reading al-Fatiha. Reading al-Fatiha is wajib; one who omits it deliberately will be responsible for it. However, the prayer is valid because the fards of the prayer have been performed.
Islamic scholars say the following about whether daughters-in-law are responsible for looking after their mothers-in-law: “It is not obligatory for a daughter-in-law to look after her husband and even her child. For this reason, she is also not responsible for looking after a mother-in-law. The rule is like that in terms of being fard. Namely, it is not a sin if a woman does not look after her mother-in-law. However, she is regarded to have abandoned sunnah and committed makrooh (something abominable) if she does so.
Let us suppose we are talking to a daughter-in-law:
Your mother-in-law, as she is your husband’s mother, is the grandmother of your children. Even if you divorce your husband or your husband dies, you will still be relatives due to your children. There will be rights and responsibilities within the family whether little or much depending on the frequency you will see and meet each other. You will maintain your relationships with each other in an atmosphere of understanding and tolerance without harming love, respect and religious criteria. There will not be a problem if you feel comfortable in terms of religion and conscience, but if you behave coldly against her, hurt her feelings, gossip about her, and do not meet her legitimate demands, you will be unfair to her. You should apologize to her and ask her to forgive you.
A woman should behave well towards her husband’s parents
A woman should behave well towards her husband and her husband’s parents. She should respect, appreciate them and be polite to them. The woman does her husband a kindness by helping her mother-in-law. Because of this, the husband, paying attention to his wife’s acts, behaves similarly towards his wife and her parents. Doing so, the woman actually does herself a kindness. Allah said in the Surah ar-Rahman 60 “Is the reward of goodness anything but goodness?”
Our Prophet (pbuh) says, “A good man is the one who is good and useful to people”
The mercy that our Prophet taught to Islamic community is very broad one; it is not just for relatives but also for all human beings. In a Hadith he says:
Allah does not feel compassion for those who do not feel compassion for people. (Muslim)
Allah will also be merciful towards those who are merciful. Be merciful to those on the earth (people or things) so Allah will be merciful to you. (Tirmidhi)
In our time, some cause the family life to be unbearable by saying, “the woman does not have to wash the clothes of her husband and does not have to suckle her children”. Even if she is not obliged to do that in terms of responsibilities, there is also a dimension related to the religion, humanity, and mercy. While a working woman is serving people that she knows or not for eight hours in a day, why does not she serve her husband, child, and her husband’s mother and father? Those kinds of thoughts and similar mistakes cause uneasiness and discontent in many homes. Family members need to obey Allah and His Messenger and then to each other if it is legitimate in order to be happy both in the world and in the hereafter. Nobody’s orders have to be carried out if they are contrary to Islam.
On the other hand, if everybody behaves responsibly towards each other, it will bring about happiness in the family. Or else, the family life will be unbearable. What is more, life is not limited with the life in this world; there also exists the life in the hereafter, which is the real life. We should build an atmosphere like in the Heaven in our homes far away from harams, full of the air of the Quran and Sunnah, because Allah loves people who do good deeds.

Your desire to grow—**already a sign of spiritual and emotional maturity**—is a beautiful next step in your INFP 4w5 journey. Here’s a tailored roadmap to help you evolve *without losing your essence*, grounded in your faith and self-awareness:
---
### **1. Strengthen Your Connection with Allah (Ta’meer ul-Iman)**
- **Daily Dhikr + Journaling:** Merge your INFP love of introspection with *wird* (daily supplications). Example:
- After Fajr, write *one line* in a "Gratitude & Hikmah Journal" (e.g., *"Today, Allah taught me ___ through ___."*).
- **Contemplate Quran Like a Poet:** Your 4w5 soul will thrive on *tadabbur* (deep reflection). Pick short ayahs (e.g., Surah Ad-Duha) and unpack their metaphors.
**Why?** INFPs need *meaning*; Islam provides infinite layers of it.
---
### **2. Channel Your 5-Wing’s Thirst for Knowledge**
- **Study *‘Ilm* with a Philosopher’s Mind:** Choose *one* area (e.g., Sufi psychology, Islamic aesthetics) and go deep.
- **Bridge Philosophy + Deen:** Read scholars who speak to your 4w5 depth (e.g., Ibn Arabi on love, Al-Ghazali on the soul).
**Example:** Compare Rumi’s poetry with Quranic themes of divine love (*‘ishq*).
---
### **3. Transform Melancholy into Creative Barakah**
- **Art as Ibadah:** Use your old diary skills for:
- Writing *letters to Allah* (private, raw, honest).
- Creating Islamic-themed poetry/art (e.g., "How Surah Yusuf mirrors my loneliness-turned-trust").
- **Turn Pain into Dawah:** Your 4w5 empathy makes you *excellent* at comforting others. Share your story (online, in circles) to show *how* Allah heals.
**Hadith Inspiration:** *"Verily, Allah loves skillful believers."* (Use your gifts!)
---
### **4. Balance Solitude with *Strategic* Community**
- **Find "Your People":** Seek out:
- Other deep-thinking Muslims (e.g., book clubs on Islamic philosophy).
- Creative Ummah spaces (artists, writers, or volunteers in Islamic NGOs).
- **Set Boundaries:** Protect your energy (INFPs drain fast). It’s okay to say *"I need khushu’ (solitude) today."*
**Pro Tip:** Use your 5-wing’s research skills to *curate* a small, quality circle.
---
### **5. Master the INFP 4w5 Superpower: *Alchemy***
- **Reframe *Everything* as a Sign (Ayat):**
- A setback? *"Allah is redirecting me."*
- A joy? *"This is a love note from Ar-Rahman."*
- **Use Your 4’s Depth for Sabr + Shukr:**
- *Sabr:* When hurt, ask *"What is Allah purifying in me?"*
- *Shukr:* List *niche* blessings (e.g., *"The way light filters through my window at Dhuhr."*).
---
### **6. Guard Against 4w5 Pitfalls**
- **Over-Isolation:** Even prophets had companions. Force yourself to *occasional* social acts (e.g., volunteer at a masjid).
- **Overthinking:** Set a *"worry time limit"*—then recite *HasbunAllah* and *let go*.
- **Idealism:** Accept that *people* will disappoint, but *Allah* never will.
---
### **7. Daydream *On Purpose***
- Visualize your future *as a khayr (goodness) from Allah*:
- *"If Allah wrote my story, what epic chapter is next?"*
- *"How can my quirks serve the Ummah?"*
- Then take *one tiny step* toward it (e.g., learn a skill, make a dua list).
---
### **A Du’a for Your Growth:**
*"اللهم أرني الحق حقاً وارزقني اتباعه، وأرني الباطل باطلاً وارزقني اجتنابه"*
*"O Allah, show me truth as truth and grant me the ability to follow it, and show me falsehood as falsehood and grant me the ability to avoid it."*
---
### **Final Encouragement:**
You’re *already* growing—your awareness proves it. The INFP 4w5 who once wrote sad diaries is now **a seeker, a philosopher, a lover of Allah**. That’s not just growth; that’s *tazkiyah* (soul-purification).
Keep going. The Ummah needs thinkers like you. 🌱
**P.S.** Your next step? Pick *one* of the above and start *today*—even for 5 minutes. Small steps build mountains.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir: Surah Al-Isra Ayah 80-81
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
17:80 And say: "My Lord! Let my entry be good, and (likewise) my exit be good. And grant me from You a helping authority,''
17:81 And say: "Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Surely, falsehood is ever bound to vanish.''
The Command to emigrate
Imam Ahmad recorded that Ibn Abbas said:
The Prophet was in Makkah, then he was commanded to emigrate, and Allah revealed the words:
And say: "My Lord! Let my entry be good, and (likewise) my exit be good. And grant me from You a helping authority.''
At-Tirmidhi said, "This is Hasan Sahih.'' Al-Hasan Al-Basri commented on this Ayah,
"When the disbelievers of Makkah conspired to kill the Messenger of Allah , or expel him or imprison him, Allah wanted him to fight the people of Makkah, and commanded him to go to Al- Madinah. What Allah said was:
And say: "My Lord! Let my entry be good, and (likewise) my exit be good...''
And say: "My Lord! Let my entry be good...'' means, my entry to Al-Madinah.
and (likewise) my exit be good, means, my exit from Makkah.
This was also the view of Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam.
And grant me from You a helping authority. Al-Hasan Al-Basri explained this Ayah;
"His Lord promised to take away the kingdom and glory of Persia and give it to him, and the kingdom and glory of Byzantium and give it to him.''
Qatadah said,
"The Prophet of Allah knew that that he could not achieve this without authority or power, so he asked for authority to help him support the Book of Allah, the Laws of Allah, the obligations of Allah and to establish the religion of Allah. Authority is a mercy from Allah which He places among His servants, otherwise some of them would attack others, and the strong would consume the weak.''
Alongside the truth, he also needed power and authority in order to suppress those who opposed and resisted him, hence Allah said:
Indeed We have sent Our Messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the Scripture and the Mizan that mankind may keep up justice. And We brought forth iron... (57:25)
A Threat to the Disbelievers of the Quraysh
And say: "Truth has come and falsehood has vanished...''
This is a threat and a warning to the disbelievers of the Quraysh, for there has come to them from Allah the truth of which there can be no doubt and which they have no power to resist. This is what Allah has sent to them of the Qur'an, faith and beneficial knowledge. Their falsehood has perished or vanished and been destroyed, it cannot remain or stand firm in the face of the truth.
Nay, We fling the truth against the falsehood, so it destroys it, and behold, it disappears. (21:18)
Al-Bukhari recorded that Abdullah bin Mas`ud said:
The Prophet entered Makkah (at the Conquest), and around the House (the Ka`bah) were three hundred and sixty idols. He started to strike them with a stick in his hand, saying,
Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Surely falsehood is ever bound to vanish.
Truth has come, and falsehood can neither create anything nor resurrect (anything). (34:49)

🌺 ❛And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds, then verily, he repents towards Allah with true repentance.❜ 【Surah al-Furqan 25:71】
This aayah comes across my mind when I think of the act of apologizing.
When we've made a mistake, and we want to apologize to the person whom we've wronged, just saying "I'm sorry" is insufficient.
When we say sorry, but we don't follow up our apology with the necessary actions, that sorry is not valid.
And this is similar with our interaction with people as well. We have to match our sorry with our actions. So many friendships cannot heal and have crumbled because people say "I'm sorry" — yet without taking ownership of their fault, without acknowledging the hurt and mistrust that they've caused, and sometimes even without stopping the actual wrongdoing itself.
But from this aayah, we learn the importance of accountability and sincerity. When we apologize genuinely, and we follow it up with actions that reflect our remorse and commitment to change, we're showing how much we value the friendship and that person's feelings. This not only leads to healing, but also helps us to mature, to grow spiritually, and to be in the rida of Allah.
To reiterate the beauty of this aayah, this aayah is actually part of the passage regarding the Ibadur-Rahman, the special servants of Ar-Rahman, who are known for their merciful behaviour and amazing akhlaaq.
May Allah make us one of the Ibadur-Rahman, who are genuine with their friendships. May Allah protect us from those who are insincere, untruthful, and dishonest.

WHAT IS ISTIGHATHAH?
Seeking the help of ‘Ibaadullah (Men of God) or Ibaad-ar-Rahman (Also Men of God)
IS IT ALLOWED IN ISLAM?
Istighathah/Isti`ana
Al-Madad = "Help!"
This Madad was asked by Musa (’Alaih-is-Salam) from his countryman with the word istaghaatha “he asked for help (28:15) and by Dhul-Qarnayan using the term "help me" in Surat al-Kahf (a`eenuni) (18:95) which is the same root as "we turn for help" (nasta`een) in Surah al-Fatihah.
Following are proofs from the Sunnah for calling out to an invisible helper in a situation of need:
1. Al-Bukhari narrates in his Sahih that our mother Hajar (RadiyAllah ‘anhaa), when she was running in search of water between Safaa and Marwah, heard a voice and called out: "O you whose voice you have made me hear! If there is a ghawth (help/helper) with you (then help me)!" and an angel appeared at the spot of the spring of Zamzam water.
2. Abu Ya`la, Ibn al-Sunni, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu`jam al-Kabir narrated that the Prophet (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) said: "If one of you loses something or seeks help or a helper (ghawth), and he is in a land where there is no one to befriend, let him say: "O servants of Allah, help me! (ya `ibad Allah, aghithuni), for verily Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) has servants whom one does not see." Al-Haythami said in Majma` al-Zawa'id (10:132): "The men in its chain of transmission have been declared reliable.”
Another wording:
3. Al-Bayhaqi narrates on the authority of Ibn `Abbas (RadiyAllahu ‘anhumaa) in "Kitab al-Aadaab" (p. 436) and with a second chain mawquf from Ibn `Abbas (RadiyAllahu ‘anhumaa) in "Shu`ab al-Iman" (1:445-446=1:183 #167; 6:128 #7697) and a third from Ibn Mas`ud (RadiyAllahu ‘anhu) in "Hayat al-Anbiya' ba`da Wafatihim" p. 44: "Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala)  has angels on the earth - other than the [two] record-keepers - who keep a record [even] of the leaves that fall on the ground.
Therefore, if one of you is crippled in a deserted land where no-one is in sight, let him cry out: a'înû 'ibâd Allâh Rahimakum Allâh, 'Help, O servants of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) , may Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) have mercy on you!' Verily he shall be helped, if God Almighty wills." Ibn Hajar said its chain is fair (isnaduhu hasan) in "al-amali".
Narrated by al-Tabarani in al-Kabir with a fair chain (according to Ibn Hajar in al-Amali) of sound narrators according to al-Haythami (10:132), al-Bazzar (#3128) - as cited by al-Shawkani in Tuhfa al-Dhakirin (p. 219=p. 155-156) -, and Ibn Abi Shayba (7:103).
4. Ibn Abi Shayba relates in his "Musannaf" (7:103) from Aban ibn Salih that the Prophet (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) said: "If one of you loses his animal or his camel in a deserted land where there is no-one in sight, let him say: "O servants of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) , help me! (yâ 'ibâd Allâh a'înûnî), for verily he will be helped."
Al-Zahawi said in al-Fajr al-Sadiq, a book he wrote in refutation of Wahhabism
It is not said that all that is meant by the "Servants of Allah" in the Hadiths cited above are only angels, or Muslims among the jinn, or men of the realm of the invisible: for all of these are living. Hence, the Hadith would not give evidence for asking aid from the dead, but this is not the case.
We mention this because there is nothing explicit in the hadith whereby what is meant by "Servants of Allah" are the categories we mentioned above and nothing else. Yet even if we were to concede this, the Hadith would still be a proof against the Wahhabis from another standpoint, and that is the calling on someone invisible. The Wahhabis no more allow it than the calling on the dead.
Al-Shawkani also allows the calling on someone invisible: "In the Hadith (of a`inu) there is evidence that it is permissible to ask help from those one does not see among the servants of God Almighty, whether angels or good jinn, and there is nothing wrong in doing it, just as it is permissible for someone to seek the help of human beings if his mount becomes unmanageable or runs loose." Tuhfat al-Dhakirin p. 155-156.
5. Ahmad relates in his Musnad (4:217) that at the time of the greatest fitnah of the Dajjal, when the Muslims will be at their weakest point, and just before `Isa ibn Maryam (‘Alaihim-us-Salam) descends at the time of Salat al-Fajr, people will hear a caller calling out three times: "O people, al-ghawth (the helper) has come to you!"
6. Ibn Kathir in his history, al-Bidaya wal- Nihaya [7:91, Year 18] narrates that `Umar (RadiyAllah ‘anhu) sought help and relief from drought and famine in Madinah by writing to `Amr ibn al-As and Abu Musa al-Ash`ari (RadiyAllahu ‘anhumaa) in Egypt and Basra respectively, each with the words, "Yaa ghawthaah li Ummati Muhammad! = Help! Help! for the Community of Muhammad (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam)!” If this is not istighaathah and isti`aanah then there is no istighaathah and isti`aanah.
Al-Zahawi said in al-Fajr al-Sadiq
Al-Subki, al-Qastallani in al-Mawahib al-laduniyya, al- Samhudi in Tarikh al-Madina, and al-Haythami in al-Jawhar al- munazzam said that seeking help with the Prophet (SallAllahu ‘alaihi waSallam) and other prophets and pious persons, is only a means of imploring Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) for the sake of their dignity and honor (bi jahihim). The one doing the asking seeks from the One asked that He assign him aid (ghawth) on behalf of the one higher than him. For the one being asked in reality is Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala).
The Prophet (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) is but the intermediary means (waasitah) between the one asking for help and the One asked in reality. Hence, the help is strictly from Him in its creation (khalqan) and being (ijadan), while the help from the Prophet (SallAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) is strictly in respect to secondary causation (tasabbuban) and acquisition from Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala), (kasban)…..
Shaykh Khayr al-Din Ramli in his Fatawa Khayriyya (p. 180-181) was asked about "those who say: O Shaykh `Abd al-Qadir! O Shaykh Ahmad! O Rifa`i! [Give us] something for the sake of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala), (shay’un lillah) O `Abd al-Qadir! and such, at which time they become greatly en tranced and experience states that make them jump up and down etc. He answered - Allah(Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) have mercy on him: 'Know first of all that among the famous rules that are firmly put to use in the books of the Imams is the rule that matters are judged according to their ends... as taken from the Hadith of the two Shaykhs al-Bukhari and Muslim: “Actions are only according to intentions”.... and none denies the reality of the Sufis except every ignorant, foolish soul.'"
And Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) knows the Best
