why dhikr is important
it brings you closer to Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ
the pleasure of Allah is achieved - "the pleasure of Allah is the greatest of all" (9:72)
it comforts the heart - "it is in the remembrance of Allah that hearts can find comfort" (13:29)
when one remembers Allah and is absolutely certain that He has unlimited powers and can and will remove any hardship, the heart feels less anxious.
Allah becomes the Friend of the one who remembers Him - "remember Me, and I will remember you" (2:153)
the heart is strengthened and you develop the power to battle evil and be successful - "O believers! when you face an enemy, stand firm and remember Allah often so you may prosper" (8:46)
the prayer of one who remembers Allah is accepted. surah Fatihah, for eg, is a prayer but it begins with dhikr - 'alhamdulilah' and remembers his attributes, like 'ar-Rahman,' 'ar-Raheem' and then the prayer is made.
your love for Allah will grow as you are constantly thinking about Him and He is inside your heart
it drives Shaytan's whispers out from the heart
it gives you patience through trials as you understand Allah is always there
it removes worry and sadness from one's heart
it provides the chance to enter through the eighth gate of Jannah: 'Baab al-Dhikr' - for the believers who constantly remembered Allah
it is a noor for you on the day of judgement that will keep you steady on the sirat (bridge that guides you to Jannah)
'a man does nothing to rescue himself from Allah's punishment better than remembering Allah' (hadith)
'everything has a polish, and the polish for hearts is the remembrance of God. nothing is more calculated to rescue from God's punishment than remembrance of God' (hadith)
it shows gratitude to Allah - which He loves
you will accept that He has power over everything which will make you trust Him more
your mind will focus continuously on Allah which will motivate you to live your life by the Qur'an and sunnah to please Him more
it creates love of Islam in one's heart
it protects you from harm
the angels surround all four sides of any gathering in which Allah is being remembered and rain down His mercy upon it
it helps you with hardship and trials taken for the sake of Allah
"remembrance of Allah indeed is the greatest virtue" (29:46).

🌺 ❛And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds, then verily, he repents towards Allah with true repentance.❜ 【Surah al-Furqan 25:71】
This aayah comes across my mind when I think of the act of apologizing.
When we’ve made a mistake, and we want to apologize to the person whom we’ve wronged, just saying “I’m sorry” is insufficient.
When we say "Sorry", but we don’t follow up our apology with the necessary actions, that sorry is not valid.
Words with no action is manipulation.
Apologies without change is manipulation.
And this is among the reasons why I find this aayah profoundly beautiful. Allah says that those who repent, and then they do good deeds, are the ones whom have actually repented. Allah teaches us that we need to match our words with actions in order for our repentance to be accepted.
This is similar with our interaction with people as well. We have to match our sorry with our actions. So many friendships cannot heal and have crumbled because people do not take ownership of their fault, and do not acknowledge the hurt and mistrust that they’ve caused; worst of all — without stopping the actual wrongdoing itself. They just keep on doing, and taking and stealing.
But Allah teaches us in this aayah the importance of sincerity and accountability. When we apologize genuinely, and we follow it up with actions that reflect our remorse and commitment to change, we’re showing how much we value the friendship and that person’s feelings. This not only leads to healing, but also helps us to mature, to grow spiritually, and to gain the rida of Allah.
To reiterate the beauty of this aayah, this aayah is actually part of the passage regarding the Ibadur-Rahman, the special servants of Ar-Rahman, who are known for their amazing akhlaaq.
May Allah make us one of the Ibadur-Rahman, and protect us from those who are selfish, insincere, untruthful, and dishonest.

The Poison of Envy: Trusting in Allah's Wisdom
Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem.
Envy (Hasad) is indeed a destructive emotion, one that can consume a person and lead them toward feelings of resentment and hatred. It often occurs when we see someone receiving blessings or provisions that we don't have, and we start questioning: "Why them and not me?" This burning feeling, the desire to see another's blessing disappear, is the root of envy.
We see this destructive emotion in the story of Qabil (Cain) and Habil (Abel). Qabil became envious of his brother Habil when Allah accepted Habil’s sacrifice but not his. This envy led Qabil to murder his own brother. Allah recounts this event in the Qur'an:
"فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُ نَفْسُهُ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ" "So his soul prompted him to kill his brother, and he killed him and became among the losers." Quran 5:30
Envy drove Qabil to commit a heinous sin. This shows the extent to which envy can corrupt the soul. Now, let's reflect on another major incident of envy in the story of Adam (alaihi as-salam) and Iblis. When Allah commanded the angels and Iblis to prostrate to Adam, Iblis refused out of arrogance and envy. Iblis believed he was superior to Adam because he was made of fire while Adam was made of clay:
"قَالَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِن طِينٍ" "[Iblis] said, 'I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay.'" Quran 7:12
Iblis couldn't tolerate the honor given to Adam (alaihi as-salam), and his envy led him to disobey Allah. In both stories—Qabil and Habil and Iblis and Adam—the underlying sin was envy, a feeling of being unworthy of someone else's blessings, and in turn, questioning Allah's wisdom and justice.
Now, reflect on the logic behind envy. When you see someone who has been blessed—whether with beauty, wealth, intelligence, or success—you may start questioning: "Why them? Why not me?" You begin to feel entitled to their blessing and, like Iblis, you use your own logic to justify your feelings. But who are we to decide who deserves what? It is Allah who allocates provisions and blessings:
"إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا بَصِيرًا" "Indeed, your Lord extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]. Indeed, He is ever, concerning His servants, Acquainted and Seeing." Quran 17:30
Allah, in His infinite wisdom, gives what He knows is best for each of us. Sometimes, we may not understand why someone else receives a particular blessing while we don't, but this is where Tawakkul (trust in Allah) comes into play.
The Story of Khidr and Musa (Alaihi as-Salam):
A beautiful example of this is found in Surah Al-Kahf, where Prophet Musa (alaihi as-salam) was shown incidents by Khidr that initially seemed unjust. One such event was when Khidr repaired a wall in a village where the people had refused to offer them any hospitality. Musa (alaihi as-salam) questioned why Khidr would help such people. Khidr explained that beneath the wall was a treasure belonging to orphans, and by fixing the wall, he was protecting their inheritance until they were old enough to claim it:
"وَأَمَّا ٱلۡجِدَارُ فَكَانَ لِغُلَـٰمَيۡنِ يَتِيمَيۡنِ فِي ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ وَكَانَ تَحۡتَهُۥ كَنزٞ لَّهُمَا وَكَانَ أَبُوهُمَا صَـٰلِحٗا" "As for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the city, and beneath it was a treasure for them; and their father had been righteous..." Quran 18:82
This story teaches us that Allah's wisdom is beyond our comprehension. While we may see someone receiving blessings and wonder why, the reality could be something we are not privy to. Just like the people in the village, we might think someone undeserving is getting something good, but in reality, Allah has a hidden reason that benefits others or serves a greater purpose.
Lessons from the Story of the Quraysh and the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam):
The Meccan Quraysh refused to accept the message of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) partly because of their envy. They could not accept that someone from among them—not from the wealthiest or most powerful tribes—was chosen as the final messenger of Allah. They asked, "Why him? Why not us?" But Allah chose Muhammad (peace be upon him) because of his purity of heart and truthfulness, qualities far more important than wealth or status.
"وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡقَرۡيَتَيۡنِ عَظِيمٍ" "And they said, 'Why was this Qur'an not sent down upon a great man from [one of] the two cities?'" Quran 43:31
Like Qabil, they questioned Allah’s wisdom, which only led to their downfall. If only they had accepted the Prophet’s message, they would have received immeasurable blessings.
How to Combat Envy:
When you feel the burning sensation of envy, remember that Allah knows what is best for each of His servants. Instead of letting envy take root, do what the Prophet (peace be upon him) advised:
Make du’a for others: If you see someone with a blessing, make du’a for Allah to increase them in that blessing. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:“If any one of you sees something in his brother that pleases him, let him pray for blessing for him, and not envy him.” (Ibn Majah)
The angels will pray for you: When you make du’a for others, the angels respond by making the same du’a for you. This is a win-win situation—your heart stays pure, and you receive blessings as well.
Tawakkul: Trust that Allah is the best planner, and that whatever you have is exactly what you need to succeed in this world and the next.
"وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ" "And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him." Quran 65:3
Remember that Satan is disappointed: Every time you resist envy and pray for others, you
are disappointing Shaytan, who thrives on creating jealousy and hatred among people. By staying content and making du’a for others, you not only protect your heart from the poison of envy but also bring peace to your soul.
Envy is an emotion that can lead to destructive behavior, just as it did with Qabil and Iblis. However, Islam teaches us to combat envy by recognizing that Allah is the best planner and that He alone decides who receives what. Instead of questioning Allah’s wisdom, we should place our trust in Him, remain content with what we have, and pray for others to receive more blessings. By doing so, we not only protect ourselves from the harmful effects of envy but also draw closer to Allah and invite His mercy into our lives.
The next time you feel the stirrings of envy, make du’a for the person, and remember that what Allah has given them does not diminish what He can give you. Trust that Allah’s plan is the best for you, and He knows exactly what you need in this life and the hereafter.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir: Surah Al-Isra Ayah 80-81
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
17:80 And say: "My Lord! Let my entry be good, and (likewise) my exit be good. And grant me from You a helping authority,''
17:81 And say: "Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Surely, falsehood is ever bound to vanish.''
The Command to emigrate
Imam Ahmad recorded that Ibn Abbas said:
The Prophet was in Makkah, then he was commanded to emigrate, and Allah revealed the words:
And say: "My Lord! Let my entry be good, and (likewise) my exit be good. And grant me from You a helping authority.''
At-Tirmidhi said, "This is Hasan Sahih.'' Al-Hasan Al-Basri commented on this Ayah,
"When the disbelievers of Makkah conspired to kill the Messenger of Allah , or expel him or imprison him, Allah wanted him to fight the people of Makkah, and commanded him to go to Al- Madinah. What Allah said was:
And say: "My Lord! Let my entry be good, and (likewise) my exit be good...''
And say: "My Lord! Let my entry be good...'' means, my entry to Al-Madinah.
and (likewise) my exit be good, means, my exit from Makkah.
This was also the view of Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam.
And grant me from You a helping authority. Al-Hasan Al-Basri explained this Ayah;
"His Lord promised to take away the kingdom and glory of Persia and give it to him, and the kingdom and glory of Byzantium and give it to him.''
Qatadah said,
"The Prophet of Allah knew that that he could not achieve this without authority or power, so he asked for authority to help him support the Book of Allah, the Laws of Allah, the obligations of Allah and to establish the religion of Allah. Authority is a mercy from Allah which He places among His servants, otherwise some of them would attack others, and the strong would consume the weak.''
Alongside the truth, he also needed power and authority in order to suppress those who opposed and resisted him, hence Allah said:
Indeed We have sent Our Messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the Scripture and the Mizan that mankind may keep up justice. And We brought forth iron... (57:25)
A Threat to the Disbelievers of the Quraysh
And say: "Truth has come and falsehood has vanished...''
This is a threat and a warning to the disbelievers of the Quraysh, for there has come to them from Allah the truth of which there can be no doubt and which they have no power to resist. This is what Allah has sent to them of the Qur'an, faith and beneficial knowledge. Their falsehood has perished or vanished and been destroyed, it cannot remain or stand firm in the face of the truth.
Nay, We fling the truth against the falsehood, so it destroys it, and behold, it disappears. (21:18)
Al-Bukhari recorded that Abdullah bin Mas`ud said:
The Prophet entered Makkah (at the Conquest), and around the House (the Ka`bah) were three hundred and sixty idols. He started to strike them with a stick in his hand, saying,
Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Surely falsehood is ever bound to vanish.
Truth has come, and falsehood can neither create anything nor resurrect (anything). (34:49)

Does the duty of taking care old parents belong to son and his wife?
Looking after the old mother and father is a duty for their children, not for daughters-in-law or sons-in-law.
There will always be some troubles in societies or people that Islam is not practiced properly. We need to cure these troubles with the Quran and Islam.
When Islam evaluates situations, it considers them in terms of being fard (obligatory) or haram (forbidden). That is, it expresses matters as “it is forbidden or it is not forbidden”.
For this reason, something that is not obligatory does not mean that it does not have to be done. For example, in the sect Hanafi, the prayer (salat) done without reading the Surah al-Fatiha is valid. However, reading al-Fatiha in the prayer is wajib (compulsory). It means leaving to do a wajib act does not invalidate the prayer. It does not mean that the prayer can be performed without reading al-Fatiha. Reading al-Fatiha is wajib; one who omits it deliberately will be responsible for it. However, the prayer is valid because the fards of the prayer have been performed.
Islamic scholars say the following about whether daughters-in-law are responsible for looking after their mothers-in-law: “It is not obligatory for a daughter-in-law to look after her husband and even her child. For this reason, she is also not responsible for looking after a mother-in-law. The rule is like that in terms of being fard. Namely, it is not a sin if a woman does not look after her mother-in-law. However, she is regarded to have abandoned sunnah and committed makrooh (something abominable) if she does so.
Let us suppose we are talking to a daughter-in-law:
Your mother-in-law, as she is your husband’s mother, is the grandmother of your children. Even if you divorce your husband or your husband dies, you will still be relatives due to your children. There will be rights and responsibilities within the family whether little or much depending on the frequency you will see and meet each other. You will maintain your relationships with each other in an atmosphere of understanding and tolerance without harming love, respect and religious criteria. There will not be a problem if you feel comfortable in terms of religion and conscience, but if you behave coldly against her, hurt her feelings, gossip about her, and do not meet her legitimate demands, you will be unfair to her. You should apologize to her and ask her to forgive you.
A woman should behave well towards her husband’s parents
A woman should behave well towards her husband and her husband’s parents. She should respect, appreciate them and be polite to them. The woman does her husband a kindness by helping her mother-in-law. Because of this, the husband, paying attention to his wife’s acts, behaves similarly towards his wife and her parents. Doing so, the woman actually does herself a kindness. Allah said in the Surah ar-Rahman 60 “Is the reward of goodness anything but goodness?”
Our Prophet (pbuh) says, “A good man is the one who is good and useful to people”
The mercy that our Prophet taught to Islamic community is very broad one; it is not just for relatives but also for all human beings. In a Hadith he says:
Allah does not feel compassion for those who do not feel compassion for people. (Muslim)
Allah will also be merciful towards those who are merciful. Be merciful to those on the earth (people or things) so Allah will be merciful to you. (Tirmidhi)
In our time, some cause the family life to be unbearable by saying, “the woman does not have to wash the clothes of her husband and does not have to suckle her children”. Even if she is not obliged to do that in terms of responsibilities, there is also a dimension related to the religion, humanity, and mercy. While a working woman is serving people that she knows or not for eight hours in a day, why does not she serve her husband, child, and her husband’s mother and father? Those kinds of thoughts and similar mistakes cause uneasiness and discontent in many homes. Family members need to obey Allah and His Messenger and then to each other if it is legitimate in order to be happy both in the world and in the hereafter. Nobody’s orders have to be carried out if they are contrary to Islam.
On the other hand, if everybody behaves responsibly towards each other, it will bring about happiness in the family. Or else, the family life will be unbearable. What is more, life is not limited with the life in this world; there also exists the life in the hereafter, which is the real life. We should build an atmosphere like in the Heaven in our homes far away from harams, full of the air of the Quran and Sunnah, because Allah loves people who do good deeds.

THE BENEFITS AND VIRTUES OF RECITING OF OR LISTENING TO SURAH AR-RAHMAN, #55
Surah Ar Rahman is one of the most beautiful and commonly chanted Surahs in the Holy Qur’an. It is the Holy Qur’an’s fifty-fifth (55th) section and has 78 verses. There is debate among Islamic scholars about whether it is the Surah of Madina or the Surah of Makkah. Saj,' the rhymed, accent-based prose style familiar to early Arabic poetry, is present in Surah Ar Rahman.
The chapter’s primary goal is to chastise both humans and Jinn for losing their sense of appreciation towards Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala). Surah Ar Rahman, which means “Merciful,” is another of ALLAH’s lovely names. However, because it highlights the manifestations and advantages of Allah’s attribute of kindness and favor, this term has a significant relation to the specific theme of the Surah.
Each chapter of the Holy Qur’an is powerful and significant in its way. Additionally, we utilize separate chapters for things like health, riches, and other Surah Ar Rahman benefits. Surah Ar Rahman (Madani Surah ) is one of the most beautiful Surahs in the entire Holy Qur’an, in reality. It is the 78th verse of the 55th chapter. Most importantly, it’s frequently used to ask for forgiveness, answers, and blessings. Above all, very valuable and significant for this life and the next.
There are several chapters in the Holy Qur’an as well. Each chapter has its meaning and several lessons to be learned. The beauty of the Holy Quran is regarded as being Surah Ar Rahman. We know about Allah’s unquestionable blessings from this.
In this chapter, Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) enjoins humans to practice the bounties he has described in lovely words. Additionally, as Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) is the most powerful, we must worship Him to receive His boundless tips. All of the abilities are his to possess. He has made life relatively easy for people and offered them many amenities.
Virtues of Surah Ar Rahman
One of Islam’s most acceptable religious duties is reading the Holy Quran. Above all, it’s fantastic for virtues and rewards. Reciting particular chapters will get you unique Surah Ar Rahman benefits. Ar-Rahman Surah is one among them. If you recite this verse on extraordinary occasions, Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) will reward you with particular blessings.
Reciting has countless benefits of Surah Ar Rahman and qualities. Above all, if a person cannot read Surah Ar Rahman, he can still listen to it since it has a dazzlingly beneficial effect on the body. Surah Ar Rahman has too much significance in this world and the hereafter.
The idea behind Surah Ar Rahman
It is the only Surah in which Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) spoke to both people and jinn, the other sentient beings on Earth, with free will and the capacity to perform any deed. In this Surah, the following has been made clear to both humans and jinn.
Only Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) has power.
Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) has bestowed many bounties upon us
We are powerless in His presence
He will punish us if we disobey.
The benefits and significance of Surah Ar Rahman
The Surah is named after one of Allah’s most exquisite and recognizable names, Ar-Rahman, the Compassionate. The Surah describes all of the advantages Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) bestowed to His servant. It is one of the calmest and most enlightening surahs in the Holy Qur’an. Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) is closer to you whenever you recite Surah Ar Rahman with a sincere intention, sincerity, and desire to understand its meaning.
It helps people appreciate, be grateful for, and be more appreciative of Allah’s many favors. Unquestionably, it is among the most magnificent methods to praise Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala). Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) is delighted when a man shows gratitude, modesty, and tenderness toward his Lord. As a result, there are several advantages to reciting Surah Ar Rahman Here are some benefits of reciting Surah Ar Rahman that you might get by doing so permanently in your daily routine:
Benefits of protection
Surah’s primary advantage is that it brings you closer to Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala). It also lets you rid yourself of pretense sentiments and grants you mental and spiritual purity. According to the text, if someone reads it in the morning, an angel will watch over them all day, and if they read it at night, an angel will watch over them all night. Additionally, it aids in maintaining family harmony and preventing internal conflicts. You can recite it if you want to get something.
Internal harmony
We live in a rapid, combative society now. Sometimes we become worried and agitated and unsure how to find inner calm. The answer to our stressful and hopeless life is found in this Surah. It will not only bring you mental tranquility, but it is also highly beneficial for people looking for forgiveness. All of Allah Almighty’s blessings and rewards for all living things are explicitly listed in the Surah, and they are all immeasurable.
Benefits of riches and money
It is undeniable that wealth and money are significant. Islam often promotes riches. However, it always encourages the most kosher (Halal) methods of obtaining wealth. This Surah is valued for its references to means and employment. The daily recital of the Surah sells on your daily work or your freshly begun job since everyone wants to succeed in their lives. The most beautiful name of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala), who is incredibly compassionate and merciful, is Rahman.
Benefits of both health and illness
A variety of ailments can cure by reciting the Surah. Paying enough attention to this excellent Surah Ar-Rahman can treat various disorders, including cancer, diabetes, hepatitis C, renal illness, coronary heart problems, and many more. Therefore, Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) is “Yaa Shaafi,” and he is responsible for both health and disease. As a result, your senses must be firm enough for Allah Almighty to bestow Shifaa.
Our hearts and ideas may provide us joy and fulfillment. We frequently grow exhausted and stressed out in this unfriendly society because of the overburdened ideas and people. Thus, the Surah’s recitation brings us relaxation and calm and increases our sense of satisfaction and pleasure.
Finding a job or a career
Reciting Surah Ar Rahman may be highly beneficial for those looking for employment or a profession. You can pursue your ideal career and employment thanks to Surah’s Wazifah. Your life may become challenging if you don’t have enough money or your chosen profession.

How to Perform Salat al-Ishraq (Post-Sunrise Prayer)
Salat al-Ishraq (Post-Sunrise Prayer) Ishraq Prayer is a nafl prayer which is performed about 45 minutes (three quarters) after sunrise (according to the Hanafi school of thought) or 20 minutes after sunrise (according to the Shafi school).
How to Perform Salat al-Ishraq
A person prays between 2 and 12 units of prayers in multiples of 2. After completing Fajr salat, one does not move from one’s place and remains there reciting dhikr, tasbeeh, Holy Qur’an, etc., avoiding participation in worldly affairs until the sun has fully risen (about minutes after sunrise).
Then, one stands and offers two or four raka’at of nafl. Hadiths are replete with the high merits of this prayer. Abu Hurairah (RadiyAllahu ‘anhu) relates that the Prophet (SalAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) has said that "He who says Ishraq prayers without fail shall have his lesser sins forgiven even though they may be as numerous as foam specks on the surface of the sea." [at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah]
RasulAllah (SalAllahu ‘alaihi wa alLam) is reported to have said that Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) says, 'O son of Adam, perform 4 Raka’ats of Salat (Ishraq) in the early part of the day. I shall help you in accomplishing all your responsibilities during the rest of the day.' [Mishkaat pg.116]
In another narration of at-Tirmidhi, RasoolAllah (SalAllahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam) is reported to have said, 'He who performs Fajr Salat with Jamaa’at and remains seated in the same place while engaging in Dhikr until after sunrise and thereafter performs 2 Raka'ats Nafil Salat, (Ishraq), he will obtain the reward of one Hajj and one ‘Umrah.' [at-Tirmidhi]
How to Perform Salat al-Ishraq (Post-Sunrise Prayer)
1. Rak’at

🌺 ❛And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds, then verily, he repents towards Allah with true repentance.❜ 【Surah al-Furqan 25:71】
This aayah comes across my mind when I think of the act of apologizing.
When we've made a mistake, and we want to apologize to the person whom we've wronged, just saying "I'm sorry" is insufficient.
When we say sorry, but we don't follow up our apology with the necessary actions, that sorry is not valid.
And this is similar with our interaction with people as well. We have to match our sorry with our actions. So many friendships cannot heal and have crumbled because people say "I'm sorry" — yet without taking ownership of their fault, without acknowledging the hurt and mistrust that they've caused, and sometimes even without stopping the actual wrongdoing itself.
But from this aayah, we learn the importance of accountability and sincerity. When we apologize genuinely, and we follow it up with actions that reflect our remorse and commitment to change, we're showing how much we value the friendship and that person's feelings. This not only leads to healing, but also helps us to mature, to grow spiritually, and to be in the rida of Allah.
To reiterate the beauty of this aayah, this aayah is actually part of the passage regarding the Ibadur-Rahman, the special servants of Ar-Rahman, who are known for their merciful behaviour and amazing akhlaaq.
May Allah make us one of the Ibadur-Rahman, who are genuine with their friendships. May Allah protect us from those who are insincere, untruthful, and dishonest.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir: Surah Al-Ra’d Ayah 30
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
13:30 Thus have We sent you to a community before whom other communities have passed away, in order that you might recite unto them what We have revealed to you, while they disbelieve in the Most Gracious (Allah).
Say: "He is my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but He! In Him is my trust, and to Him I turn.''
Our Prophet was sent to recite and call to Allah's Revelation
Allah says,
Thus have We sent you to a community before whom other communities have passed away,
Allah says, `Just as We sent you, O Muhammad, to your Ummah,
...in order that you might recite unto them what We have revealed to you,
so that you deliver to them Allah's Message. Likewise, We sent others to earlier nations that disbelieved in Allah. The Messengers whom We sent before you, were also denied and rejected, so you have an example in what they faced. And since We sent Our torment and revenge on those people, then let these people fear what will strike them, for their denial of you is harsher than the denial that the previous Messengers faced,'
By Allah, We indeed sent (Messengers) to the nations before you. (16-63)
Allah said in another Ayah,
Verily, many Messengers were denied before you, with patience they bore the denial and suffering until; till Our help reached them, and none can alter the Words (decree) of Allah. Surely, there has reached you the information (news) about the Messengers (before you). (6-34),
meaning, `How We gave them victory and granted the best end for them and their followers in this life and the Hereafter. '
Allah said next,
while they disbelieve in the Most Gracious (Allah).
Allah says, `These people, that We sent you to, disbelieve in the Most Gracious and deny Him, because they dislike describing Allah by Ar- Rahman, Ar-Rahim (the Most Gracious, Most Merciful).'
This is why on the day of Al-Hudaybiyyah, as Al- Bukhari narrated, they refused to write, "In the
Name of Allah, Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim,'' saying, "We do not know Ar-Rahman, Ar-Rahim!''
Qatadah narrated this words. Allah the Exalted said,
Say: "Invoke Allah or invoke the Most Gracious (Allah), by whatever name you invoke Him, for to Him belong the Best Names. (17:110)
In his Sahih, Imam Muslim recorded that Abdullah bin Umar said that the Messenger of Allah said,
The most beloved names to Allah the Exalted are:
• Abdullah and
• Abdur-Rahman.
Allah said next,
Say: "He is my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but He!''
meaning: for I believe in Allah in Whom you disbelieve and affirm His Divinity and Lordship. He is my Lord, there is no deity worthy of worship except Him,
In Him is my trust,
in all of my affairs,
and to Him I turn.
meaning: to Him I return and repent, for He alone is worthy of all this and none else besides Him.
