The Superman of 2965 returns (he’s the Superman of 2966 now, of course) along with a brief history of some of his predecessors in Action Comics vol.1 No.338. Please notice how bored he is with Superman I fighting Lex Luthor. Yawnsville. Give me Superman V fighting Vyldan any day of the week, woo, that’s some good history!

It’s worth mentioning, by the way, that the Superman of 2956 briefly replaces Superman in the pages of Action Comics. I mean, obviously, there’s a Superman in the story and the 20th century Superman makes a cameo appearance here, but there had never been an Action Comics without the original Superman (or an alternate universe equivalent) before Klar Ken-T5477′s debut last year.

(I can’t say why, but Superman IV’s identity being “Dave Kent” is genuinely funny to me)
