how did you get your hands on those scripts? do you think there’s any chance you’ll be able to get any other ones?

for finding scripts in general, the best bet is a) creep ebay, and b) to get really involved in the entertainment memorabilia community. collecting prop/wardrobe/crew stuff from shows i like is my little niche hobby that i don't get to talk about that often haha, so being involved with facebook groups/prop sites/getting to know people lets me get my hands on things that never make it onto ebay. a lot of times crew members from a production will also pop their heads in and offer up some of their personal stuff (that's how i got the copies of the scripts i have)

supergirl is an interesting one because the cw is very very touchy about releasing scripts so there aren't TOO many floating around, but i know marc guggenheim sold off some of his copies a few years ago for charity so you'll see bits of certain episodes (like 3x17 and 3x12, i've seen excerpts from both of those on twitter) making the rounds from the people who bought them, and now and then the physical versions are passed around for resale.

right now i have 2x05 (which is what i posted from the other week) with some notes in it from the writers, an early draft of 3x01 (i didn't post anything from this because i know someone else way back when had another copy so i wasn't sure if y'all had already seen the good stuff in it but if i'm wrong and you want me to share some of it, give me a shout!), and some s1/2 episodes sans lena. i POSSIBLY will be getting copies of 2x12, 2x21, and 4x16 soon. i'm exhausting every relationship i have to find some s5 scripts but i'm at the point where i'm convinced the cw burned them all lmaoooooo

Heart Eyes With a Luthor Twist

I’ve always loved this rescue scene on the Daxamite ship in Supergirl 2x21! And not just because Karamel is the living embodiment of heart eyes. (I mean, that’s mostly it, but...) 

If you watch the background, you can see Lillian and Hank Henshaw come rolling in, stopping to stand right behind Kara. 

So we have Mon-El and Kara trying to cover their surprise and joy at seeing each other, but failing epically due to the way their faces light up brighter than Kara’s loft at Christmas.

And if you’re paying attention (or have seen this scene 20 trillion times like some people who are not me because that would be weirdly excessive), over Mon-El’s shoulder you see Lena’s face light up, too.

And while Kara and Mon-El’s hopelessly transparent little We’re-Just-Friends-Tra-La-La-And-Totally-NOT-In-Love-With-Each-Other act is playing out and all those love arrows are flying around due to the extreme heart eyes, Lena breezes past both of them without even a glance, in her hurry to get... 

... to Lillian. And her smile? Genuine! As is Lillian’s.

Lena: You came!... With her!

Lillian: I did.

So Kara and Mon-El totally could've hugged or Kara could've thrown Mon-El up against the wall for some serious kissing and whatnot for all the attention Lena was paying to them (or so I initially thought - more on that later).

But then we wouldn’t have gotten this moment...

So everyone say “Thank you, Lena!”

BONUS

After watching the season 2 finale, I began to wonder if Lena may have noticed something after all. In fact, this may have been the moment she began to wonder if Mon-El was maybe stepping out on Kara... like, maybe he had a little thing going on with Supergirl on the side... 

Because damned if this scene from Supergirl 2x22 doesn’t just scream Big BFF Energy!

Because this look right here?

That’s the look of a BFF who is ready to throw down if she finds out you’ve been making moves on her bestie’s boyfriend - even if you are Supergirl!

Huh. You know, it kind of sheds some new light on Lena’s surprise when she saw Mon-El with Supergirl in season 3, not to mention the side-eye she gave the pair of them after they took out Lillian in the Lexosuit.

Maybe it wasn’t just the lead allergy aspect that threw her. Maybe there was another reason she was reluctant to tell Kara she saw Mon-El... with Supergirl.
