So I spun some Coburger Fuchs

and plied it into my first "true" 3ply, like this

And I love it! I love touching it and this particular combed top spun like a dream.

The bobbin I plied on to then was ✨✨✨ Full ✨✨✨ xD

And the resulting cake - a kaiju as big as my hand!

And since I've been itching to needlebind my own socks for a while, i scoured the internet for inspiration and found it in this blogpost from Bert at needlebinding.com:

And I also found what's my new favourite way of starting a needlebind project: the ✨✨✨ Mouse Ear Start ✨✨✨!

So here's the toes of my new socks ^_^

(yes, I've wisened up after my wrist warmers that i have made 2-3 years apart and make the 2 socks simultaneously now. xD)

These are gonna be super warm! and I hope, supercomfy, too!

After only getting about three hours of sleep the night before (insomnia), I was a bit of a mess yesterday, which happened to be grocery day. I was stumbling around dead on my feet, by the time we got back.

As we were bringing in groceries, guess which overtired individual decided to collect eggs from the chickens and put them in her hoodie pockets? (I know you can see what's coming.)

I leaned against a car seat, didn't even notice, and walked in the house dripping egg down my jeans. Guess what what was in that pocket? My phone!

You've never lived till you clean egg out of a phone. (It still works.) What's funny is that a few days ago, Vampire insisted on ordering me a really nice phone that should be here on Friday, so he said, "We've already ordered you another phone, you don't have to break that one to get a new one!"

Also, my favorite supercomfy Dr. Who hoodie, which is nearly the only one I wear, was out of commission in the washer for the rest of the evening, and I had to wear a meh one.

About the new phone: the lack of space on my $50 phone drives me up the wall, since I basically use it as my computer... and run my life by it. I'm very forgetful and MUST have reminders for everything. (I started listing all the things I use my phone for, and it's so long, I think I'll make another post. 😂)

Anyway, my frugal Vampire (we both are, half by inclination and half by necessity), the man who won't spend $20 on himself, insisted I get the $200 phone I was drooling over. It's got 128g of storage (my current phone has 16g), a built-in stylus, and a really nice camera. And is bigger, since my eyesight is crap lately. Did I mention 128g of space?!?

I can have all the apps I want. I don't have to decide between Overdrive and Kindle. I don't have to decide between Google sheets and Docs. I can put extras like the app that identifies plants and bugs when you pic them. I can even have games again!

(Yes, I know what you're thinking, but we also ordered a good protective case, screen protectors, an extended warranty for drops and spills, and I think it's water-resistant.)
