The reaction is as much physical as it is mental—the waves of emotion crashing through their shared bond sweeps him up in it despite himself, rendering his kiss more passionate.

"You can...hold onto me," he murmurs during a lull, before a wave of heat has him weaving his fingers through his partner's hair.

Klaus is an anchor in his own tumultuous sea of feelings. Even unspoken, Aurelius can read what he means between each surge.

"I know..."

"I also missed...you, hah..."

"...Anghelescu."

Each word carries weight. Not unpleasant. It fills him with warmth. It's so easy to fall back into Aurelius' embrace. There's still hardship that they're working through, but Klaus can really just fall right into Aurelius with no problem.

He feels Aurelius' movement as he speaks. Green eyes lift to meet Aurelius' mesmerizing gold ones. He's close, and as much as he'd like to hold Aurelius close, he doesn't move. His trust will not be broken. It was all for Aurelius. He'd make the first move, and he'd connect the bridge that was being mended back slowly.

Klaus closes his eyes, his hands held together, and that initial touch of lips upon forehead exhales a sigh out of him. Aurelius' lip travels from one spot to the next.

He doesn't feel whole when he's away from Aurelius. The short time that they had been separated had felt like EONS without water. Klaus had felt abandoned, left in a desert with no way to fend for himself. Weak and hopeless.

He didn't feel that way now. Not while Aurelius was basking in his presence. NOT while Klaus got to be this close to him. Hear him. Feel him.

He doesn't want to scare Aurelius, and so every movement is careful. Wordlessly, he asks for permission to embrace Aurelius in his entirety. Slow, careful, but yearning.

For now, he doesn't know what to do with his hands.

I'm sooo exhausted from the long journey to get here. ” Though that doesn't stop him from prancing right back to his boyfriend, pale palms grabbing the sides of his face and lingering just out of reach.

“ I might be able to find some energy though if you're nice enough... ”

“ you jogged, huh? were you that excited to see me? ” he takes natsuki’s hand again, pocketing the keys with his free hand, making a metal note of putting them somewhere safe when they get in the back. giving the weapons makers hand a squeeze, there’s a mischievous glint in his eyes.

“ that’s what i want, but… ” he trails off, taking one last look at natsuki, before he’s yanking him towards the direction of his bedroom. padding up the stairs with a growing excitement, passing through everyone’s rooms, until they finally reach his. he pushes it open, gesturing for natsuki to come inside. “ are you sure you’re up for it? you look kind of rough. ”
