Not related to anything, are there phones and such in the monster world? Is so, does Blue have one?

In this au the monster world is more old fashioned in terms of technology. Well, sorta.

For communications, there's telegrams for speedy comms [reserved for hospitals, ems, etc] and the good old mail system for leisure comms [majority of far off communication is via letters]. There's also no television, no computers, nothing like that. HOWEVER their manufacturing methods are incredible.

Most of the paper produced in the monster world is actually made of fruit fibers and other organic material. Very little to no trees involved in the process - the monsters value their trees a little more than we do in the human world XD. They make a base using the masher to mash all the materials together [the most common kind of paper is made with cactus fibers, old bark from trees, fallen leaves and twigs, and a thick syrup that acts as a bonding agent called sugarose syrup. It comes from Sugarose trees] and then put into a machine to actually make the paper. It's simply called the paper machine. This is an example of amazing manufacturing mechanisms.

Hospitals do utilize surgerical procedures and other advanced stuff, just without the use of electronic devices. Modern hospitals, as well as the remaining few apothecaries, make up the medical system in the monster world.

Basically, the monster world takes pride in its old fashioned ways, while also being modern in the same sense. It's not modern like how we think of it, with TV screens and robots, but still. A human can get by.
