"NO!" Daichi screamed as he is being restrained by Megumi and Yuji, he pulled off from Bradley. Daichi is kicking his arms, "NO! You heard what he said!" Daichi said as he had that smile on his face but his eyes are full of fury.

"Daichi, I understand your furious right now but you need to clear your head and calm down!" Megumi knew hew as furious but not this furious! Bradley struggles on the floor still seeing his burned arm while he groans in pain.

"He won't stop! He doesn't care what he did! You heard him!" Daichi yelled, pointing at Bradley who is on the ground rolling in pain. "I-I..if I let him off the hook! He won't stop! He will never stop!"

"But your losing yourself due to that! What would Miko think if she finds out? She would be dead worried!" he said but Bradley laughed in pain as the other two look at him.

"It's n..not my fault...that bitch is lucky..i would have really enjoyed making her suffer three times worse. Or better..that other cute pup Taz...s..she would have been so cute being my little wifu...right big brother?" he wheezes with a laugh only him to get a kick in the face.

"!!!" Megumi saw Yuji glaring to grip his shirt.

"You will Never touch my little sister!"

"Yuji! stop!" Megumi had to try restraining him now too as he saw Bradley slowly roll about but he was trying to put the curse flame out but he felt it still burning. This made the other snicker in pain.

"What? I strike a nerve? Good! Y..You guys ruined everything..all because you didn't mind your own business. I will get out..if I get sent to prison...I will never.....uggh.....never let you do anything. I'll have w..what I want..all the women I want..their all mine. All mine to control; to break; to hurt...to eat..all those poor poor precious women..ready to be my own personal dinner....I bet even eating them alive one by one......" he even showed a darker expression.

"Even to kill. They are mine..every girl I flirted with is mine...." he said only to start laughing loudly in the area. Even if his body was in pain, his arm screaming from the pain it's like his cursed energy was bursting from his body showing he was growing more unstable.

Both Yuji and Megumi tense seeing and hearing this though they see the burns going through his skin while seeing the smoke. However, Bradley winces even more that he almost saw smaller flames on his skin.

"Damn it get off of me! Let go of me!" he shouted from the pain but the other two rush over to grab Daichi to pull him away.

"Daichi snap out of it!" Yuji said worried holding his arm.

"Yeah, what are you doing!? We told you not to kill him!" Megumi said also worried while holding his other arm. Bradley rolls on the ground but was wincing from the cursed flames burning his skin he felt it still burning!

Sweet Elite... MCL style remake because I love suffering

Look, I know we all have trauma because of MCL but I've decided to transform that trauma into comedy because RIP MCL tbh.

Okay so uh. First things first, Tadashi VS Axel, right? They hate eachother but they secretly really love eachother and respecc eachother that's obviously why Axel decided to help when Tadashi's father was being a 🤡 Their hatred becomes bromance but then when Sweet Elite University comes around they'll hate eachother again to go back to their initial dynamic because... fuck development amirite?

Oh and Karolina? A complete bitch, she'll hate Scholar only because she finds them ugly and she hates poor people. No other reason at all. She bullies Scholar by blackmailing her and locking her up in basements. Neha is just mindlessly following her because she's her lackey, not her friend and she just really needs Karol to model for Rao designs. They don't actually have a genuine bond or anything. And Neha is a migrant btw. She's fleeing from the Indian government because her parents said "YOLO" and tried to save Indian women from all the bullshit they have to go through. Also, Neha is pansexual and secretly a lawyer.

Later we'll find out that Karolina's twin brother, Tegan, was being abused by their father but Karolina never noticed because... she thought that it's normal to be harsher with sons than with daughters...? And the reason why the father was doing it is because he lost his job, and the person who took his place reminded him of his son too much so out of frustration he let it all out on Tegan. Totally makes sense, right?

Oh and, Claire? You love Claire, right? She's so kind and cute and all? Well GUESS WHAT?! She almost dies!!! Yes that's right! She'll get in a traffic accident because she forgot to look both ways before crossing the road and then when she awakens in the hospital it turns out that she lost her memories!! She has amnesia!! Oh but she still somehow remembers that she had a crush on her best friend: Raquel. They have a heart to heart then Claire's memories come back because uh... whatever. They just come back okay?

Then um,... Tyler! You like Tyler huh? He's so funny and cool, he's a good dude and all. Well GUESS WHAT?? He was adopted because everyone knows that James Cameron doesn't have black children obviously 🙄 Oh but Tyler really wants to know what happened to his real parents!! So he asks Tegan to use his hacking skills instead of asking his adoptive parents for answers! But oh boy! They find that Tyler's parents are dead and he only has an older brother left! But that older brother was one of Raquel's close friends when they were younger so Raquel really idolizes him and tries to copy his toxic behaviour! Thankfully Scholar helps Raquel to get her back to normal. Raquel just had self-confidence issues all long but it's fine now 👍

Then um. Alistair... he has really loving parents but they decide to get divorced because they don't love eachother anymore! Alistair is heartbroken because he feels really bad for his younger siblings and he has the feeling that they'll never be happy again... but whatever! He sucks it up because who cares about his feelings!

Getting back to Axel tho, let's say that he had a toxic ex and she came back to Arlington! He listens to everything she says in hopes that maybe she'll get back with him... because fuck Scholar amirite? All this time they spent together? Gone. He only trusts his ex unless there's solid proof for uh... whatever bad thing she did in the past.

And Ellie... uh... OMG! I have a great idea guys!! She's a drug dealer! Who gives a damn about making some dumb robots? She gives up on her dreams and hard work to sell drugs because at one point she really loved smoking 'em. But oh no! She's so gangsta that the police is after her! Oh but actually nevermind, she was working with the police to send the drug dealers to prison. Too bad that they stabbed her and she lost a lot of blood! Thankfully Tegan had the brains to call the ambulance instead of listening to her saying that "Ohh 🙄🙄 it's just a small cut, it's gonna be totally fine guys! 👌👌"

Now let's quickly wrap up Sweet Elite so we can make Sweet Elite University! So uh. Your crushes? You love them? You spend years trying to woo them? Well forget that lol because we don't actually give a shit about our customers' feelings. You break up with all of them and we'll bring back only 4 of the main 10 because we need 6 new characters! So uh. Let's just say Tadashi, Axel, Karolina and Claire make it into Sweet Elite University because they won in the popularity polls so they're basically our pikachus, we can't throw them away!!!

And for the new main 10 uh... Let's add a teacher, yeah? That's hot right? Everyone knows that y'all wanted Coach D's d so let's just say his wife died in a terrorist attack or something, sounds good? Cool! Now you can date someone who's like 15 years older than Scholar. Oh and, since it was too painful for him to stay in Arlington after his wife's death Coach D got like, into a really emo phase so now he's an art teacher in Sweet Elite University. Oh and Scholar is an art student so it'll make it easier for you to frick your teacher. The departments? Oh who cares about that lol. The canon route was the fine arts department, okay? Also you won't get to customize your Scholar anymore, she only has straight long hair because according to the poll that was the most used hairstyle for Scholar! You can only customize her hair, eye and skin colors because oh boy we love diversity!!

Talking about diversity! One of the new main 10 will be a Korean boi because k-pop is really trendy lately. Let's also add another Indian. Bring back Neha instead of making a new character? Oh no, sowwy we don't dow twat hewe 😥

We just really want new players so we're changing everything, sorry if you thought this was an actual continuation of Sweet Elite. Haven't you realized it yet? The OG Sweet Elite is dead, okay? No need to cry though! All the rest of the canceled main 10 are doing fine! They're probably working in a farm after their parents died or something, but no worries! They're happy! They achieved their dreams of uh. Dating you in high school because that's all that mattered to them! Now that you broke their heart they'll just do whatever floats their boat.

Don't be so sad though! You still have Tadashi, Axel, Karolina and Claire! Since you already won them over in high school I'm sure that you can do it again in University 😉😉

Preview: Gateway Drug | Part Thirty-Seven

You can hear a pin drop in here. Even the flight attendants are holding their breath. 

It seems Tommy, Nikki, and Mick have sobered up on the spot the second Sparkie says, "well, I didn't have any cash on me, and your purse was on the bus so I just made a trade. I didn't think you would need them anymore. You seem pretty happy to me, lately" once I've dug around in my purse, and asked the guys if they've seen my freshly refilled bottle of Nardil anywhere because it's time for me to take it.

I'm still trying to figure out if I heard him right.

Fred's getting antsy, I see him from the corner of my eye as he slowly stands from his spot, waiting for me to attack with my teeth going for the bastard's neck. 

Vince just has this little smirk on his face because he knows Sparkie is about to meet his maker. 

"W-what?" Tansy squeaks at her boyfriend, confused as to why her sweet, innocent, precious little Sparkler would do such a thing to her best friend.

"Where are my pills?" I ask Sparkie just to clarify.

He looks at me with raised brows.

"I told you, Vivian, I didn't have any money. I needed some blow. I remembered you keep them in your purse, which was on the bus, which was unlocked. I got your pills out and made a trade." He repeats to me like I was too stupid to understand him the first time.

"You heard him, right, Doc?" I ask.

"I--yeah?" Doc replies, uneasy at my calmness. 

"Good. Because a jury will need to hear a witness and know I had justification for finally killing this motherfucker!" I lunge over the seat in front of me to grab fistfuls of Sparkie's greasy hair, Tansy screaming as she stumbles out of her seat beside him.

"Vivian!" Doc's yelling as he reaches his hand out, trying to pry me off of Sparkie.

I turn and kick him in the chest with my heel, still leaned over the seats, my arm around Sparkie's neck, hopefully crushing his throat as he fights against me, sputtering and gasping for air as Tansy's crying and pleading with me, but I don't hear a word she says.

Tommy and Nikki come to Doc's aid, the both of them grabbing at me, only causing me to kick at them and swing my free hand.

"You fucking kick me, I'm laying your ass out, Viv!" Nikki threatens me sharply.

I look at him, directly in the eye, and kick him as hard as I can in the arm.

His eyes go wild, an ugly sneer pulls at his lips to expose grinding teeth, and he grabs me by my hair, causing me to whimper out as tears prick my eyes from the pain, and forces me off the seats to the floor.

Because I've always been glutton for punishment when I'm angry, him nearly scalping me wasn't enough.

My foot collides with Nikki's crotch so hard he doubles over and falls to the floor, completely disregarding me, and giving me time to reach up beside me and grab the Jack Daniels bottle sitting in the seat Tommy just got up from.

Sparkie's trying to recover, taking long, heavy breaths, as the whiskey flies from the Jack bottle as it hits him square in the head.

Fred snatches me off the floor, manhandling me like he would do one of the guys, and throws me into the small bathroom, locking me inside for the remainder of the flight, only yanking me out and making me sit next to him and buckle up to land.

Sparkie was taken to the nearest hospital to make sure he wasn't suffering from a concussion, and I was getting the chewing out of a lifetime.

"You just can't start trying to kill people left and right, Vivian." Fred snaps as we step to the car that's taking us to the hotel. "You're gonna fuck around and get sued and no offense, Nikki, but you can't afford that." He adds and Nikki scoffs.

"None fucking taken." He mumbles back, practically dragging me behind him.

I can tell he's trying not to kick my ass. I don't really blame him.

"He traded my antidepressant for blow!" I argue.

"I think Rabid Bitch Vivian did a great thing." Vince tells them. "The little bitch-boy deserved it."

Astra has successfully finished poisoning Azazel. He’s super weak and she knows he won’t be able to fight back when she attempts to kill him.

Azazel doesn’t understand why he’s weakening. There have been no spells put on him, no jinxes or hexes. He’s still plotting on how to destroy those two other bastard children of Astra’s. He knows as long as she knows they exist she’ll not become fertile again for a long while because she’s got children out there. So he needs to figure out a way to get past the progenitor (UNLIKELY) and kill them.

Also Azazel isn’t a dragon. He isn’t a Shade either. Or rather he’s Shade adjacent. He’s a natural thing of Sorienth that came about during the explosion that birthed the Arcanist, Gladekeeper, and Plaguebringer. He’s a parasite that infects other host bodies and is effectively undead, not alive or dead himself but not a zombie. He exists in a between living and death, a thing stuck at the cusp of being one thing in perminance. Before the rise of dragons Azazel infected Beastclan members and used them in order to ‘live’. With dragons now the dominant species he’s been finding different dragons to be his host for centuries. This Imperial is his latest host. His host was already a bit mad but Azazel’s cruelty and undying nature and need to survive above all else drove him even deeper mad. Azazel is now seeking to make himself a new host by using his current body and the one of an extremely powerful witch, Astra. Thus he’s been raping her to produce children with her but she’s been so stubborn and hateful she’s been doing whatever she can to ensure he never gets close to their children to perform the ceremony that would allow him into the new host body. Astra having her latest clutch with someone other than him has infuriated him and they’re untouchable. Azazel is old and cruel but values survival above all else. He won’t risk angering a progenitor, who are more powerful than him (and he knows it) because death is likely. He would have since moved on to Killing but Savathun said if he touched her daughter she’d feed him to Abbadon. So while acting predatory to the girl he won’t actually do anything to her unless she’s older and consents but that’ll be a while.

Astra needs to put Azazel in place so she can get to Savathun’s office and find that letter Azazel gave her to read in the event of his death that reveals Astra’s secret Azazel has been blackmailing her with to let him fuck her. If Savathun knows it she’ll throw Astra out or kill Aten OR both. She can’t allow that.

Azazel is getting impatient tho. He tries to force Astra and to kinda both their surprise she is able to fight him off like she couldn’t before. Tail between his legs he goes and takes his aggression and anger out on Slaughter who’s already afraid of him.

The Warren is sort of like… a gate. It connects to the vast underground catacombs beneath the Hewn City. Abbadon was charged by the Plaguebringer to defend it on behalf of the Lightweaver because PB knows her bitch sister is SHIT at keeping anything hidden and safe (Emperors anyone?). So Abbadon was made and put to be the warden of the Warren and protect it so that dragons couldn’t get in and things from the Hewn City couldn’t come out. He was doing a perfect job, with only minor things from the City managing to slip past when he slept, minor shadow or Shade wisps of little consequence other than give you an impending feeling of dread and fear. Then Azazel came and he is EXACTLY the sort of thing Abbadon was made to protect the world from getting from the Hewn City or places like it. To ‘protect’ Azazel from Abbadon Oryx and Savathun threw him out of his own Warren. Now he stalks the island the Warren is located on to catch and kill what now can escape. So far nothing large has realized the gate is unguarded but he knows it is a matter of time.

Slaughter is a thing that showed up during a lapse in Abbadon’s vigil. They are a Hewn City thing, similar to a Eye of the Lightweaver larva. It is harmless for the most part and obeys simple actions. It was given the order to look after little Killing and it does. It comforts her in her loneliness, it makes sure she eats, it brings her to and from places in the Warren, its presence protecting Killing from the minor evils that lurk in the deep tunnels and shadows of the Warren. It is also PETRIFIED of Azazel and will cry and scream when he gets close he touches it or gets close to it. The crying usually summons Astra who will intervene and send Azazel away. Or taking Killing away allowing Slaughter to run. Abbadon sees Slaughter sort of like his niece and since it is a docile, gentle thing despite its name and appearance and when he can tries to protect it from Azazel but isn’t always able to.

After Astra fought him off Azazel goes to take his anger out on Slaughter, know they’re something that won’t fight back. He ends up killing it in his anger. Abbadon feels that and gets PISSED and stalks down into the Warren and confronts Azazel and almost kills him but he holds back because he promised both himself and Aten he’d let Aten end his miserable life for the suffering he’s inflicted on his sister. So he just scared Azazel a good bit and maybe bites him a bit and tells Azazel he won’t do it now but it will be soon. He then goes and tells Astra she needs to do something NOW. He cannot abide to have this disgusting thing in his Warren anymore.

Astra has Abbadon go get Aten because Abbadon is right. Azazel is weak. They can finish him. Aten arrives and is thrilled his sister is like ‘remember you said you’d kill him for me?’ ‘yeah?’ ‘That time is now’ ‘!!! yassss’. So Aten shows up at Azazel’s room and just kinda… CRUSHES him, like in his full dragon form just casually pins Azazel while Astra goes to get the blackmail. Azazel tries to use magic but Aten just kinda eats whatever magic he tries to produce and is SMUG about it.

Astra goes into Savathun’s office while she’s out and starts rifling around for the letter. Knowing Azazel it will be obvious and ‘classy’. Just as she finds it Savathun shows up and asks her what she’s got. After a bit of back and forth it comes to light that not only did Savathun know Azazel was raping her but she allowed and maybe even encouraged it a little because she hoped that Astra would realize she was being punished for her sins. And she had guessed what was in that message because she knew the entire time what Astra’s secret was. She knew and hoped Azazel would convince her otherwise to not be so disgusting and him forcing himself onto her was a suitable punishment.

Furious that her teacher, a woman who treated her like a daughter, who expected to be seen as her mother, would just allow some strange man to repeatedly rape and impregnate her INFURIATES Astra. She attacks Savathun and Savathun thinks nothing of her. She’s a little girl in her eyes. But Astra has been learning far more magic than Savathun has been teaching her. Darker magic. Killing magic. She doesn’t do it easily or quickly but she does end up slaying Savathun. She’s all fucked up from it, like bruised and battered and shit. But the one who allowed her abuse to continue is now dead. Better for it.

She goes to where Aten is basically toying with Azazel. She’s got the blackmail and just goes ‘Savathun knew the entire time. Your blackmail was worthless’ ‘then don’t sound so smug’ ‘I also killed her. Kill him, brother’ ‘my pleasure 83c’ and Aten just kinda… bites him in half.

Because Azazel isn’t a real dragon and is just a parasite inside a host that while the host dies it doesn’t kill the parasite. It leaves Azazel as black smoke (remember Shade adjacent) and tries to take over Aten but Astra stops it. Abbadon has also been watching all of this since he wants to make sure both Azazel and the host are dead. He can kill a thing like Azazel.

But before Abbadon can kill him Astra is like ‘no. I will take him’ ‘as a host?’ ‘of course not. He’s going to be my thing to command’ and she’s a necromancer. An actually REALLY POWERFUL necromancer. She seals Azazel inside a locket to act as a necrotic powersource for her magic.

Now that all of the older Stitchers are dead that leaves the Warren empty again, the way it was when Oryx and Savathun found it. Aten reminds them they need to, somehow, close whatever was opened in the Warren and Abbadon doesn’t like that. His entire life is to protect the opening of the Hew City. Astra did promise Layali she would do so so she will. She makes Abbadon take her to the actual gate where he would normally stand guard. This is the only way in or out of the Hewn City from the Warren. Astra casts a new seal across the entrance, destroying the gate, collapsing the tunnel for a mile beyond, and places a magical seal across the face which would act as the same as if Abbadon was there. Abbadon isn’t sure how he feels about this because now he has no purpose. ‘You have a purpose, Abbadon; I am your contract holder now.’ And Abbadon is kinda >:C about the entire thing but also she got him there.

Astra leaves the Warren with Aten and and Killing and goes to collect her children and report to Layali that Azazel is dead and the Warren’s gate sealed. Savathun is also dead. Layali is pleased to hear that and Ado and Ilia, who have NEVER seen their mother before, are both very excited and nervous about meeting Astra. She’s very happy to see them and holds them and then Aten says that they don’t have to stay here. There’s a place for them.

While he was away for several years Aten was an apprentice to the clan’s carpenter and building builder; Fjord. In that time he learned how to build houses with him. Aten built a big cottage for his sister, himself, her children, and Killing for when they were finally free of the Warren. It’s nothing spectacular but it’s above ground with big windows. It’s the first building he’s ever made by himself and he’s super proud of it. Astra loves it immediately.

Astra instructs Abbadon to now be responsible for the protection of Killing since Slaughter is gone. Protect her, make sure she’s safe. Abbadon isn’t exactly thrilled about this but he’s duty bound now that his original duty is ruined. So he takes to the new duty.

Astra empties out Savathun and Oryx’s library of books. Ones that seem significant her pendant reacts to. The ones of little consequence she gives to the Master to add to his collection. He is THRILLED to have them and casually starts inviting her over for drinks and to talk. Half of his staff are instantly in love with Aten as he goes with her because he knows the reputation the Manor has and doesn’t want anyone making unwanted advances on his sister.

That’s basically the end of Astra’s arc. Finally. Fuck. I can now move onto Layali and Nadalin’s arc and moving the clan to the Wind territory.

An older post...But this was REALLY bad.

Its easy to write off Yang’s issues on Raven and pretend that her  issues start and stop there, however if there’s one thing Chapter 4 of  Volume 4(intentionally or unintentionally) made clear is that the way  Yang is being raised or the way she handles her issues due to that,  might as well lead her the same path as her mother.

... HOW?! How is her upbringing going to make her into a heartless bitch? You do realize that Raven’s actions probably aren’t just a product of her upbringing but a part of her nature? I am wholly convinced that Raven is, at her core, indifferent and selfish. Her actions go far and beyond upbringing and boil down to who a person is. If her upbringing was the case: QROW should be the same of similar instead of rejecting it...

This gonna be a Taiyang bashing/Raven defense post isn’t it?

Now, you might be wondering how a girl who cares about others more than about herself  could end up the same as the woman who abandoned her after birth?

VERY oversimplification of Raven and her god damn problems: Raven left Yang at birth, never spoke to her, never interacted with her, never left an impact on her life until seventeen years later which she saved her once, left without a word and then finally said something which was to the effect of: “Fuck you, I don’t love you. Maybe you can earn my love getting good.” 

This is all fundamentally DIFFERENT than Yang: There is no way she can become that heartless and that cold. It is not who she is.

I am not going to go too much into detail about Yang as a character overall since that is a long wall of text for another time alongside the rest of team RWBY members.

First let’s state the (not so) obvious - Yang has issues. Her mother ran away, hew new mother ended up dying and Yang had to take care of her younger sister when her father shut down She has a weight of the world on her shoulders since the earliest childhood

And right off the fucking bat you fail. Yang did NOT take care of Ruby in the way you are suggesting. Taiyang has obviously been a part of their lives as shown by how they refer to him and how they treat him. ESPECIALLY once you take into account that Yang learned the brawling fighting style FROM Taiyang so he had to have been apart of their life.

Now you might notice I said "not so obvious” - that is because Yang hides her issues and real emotional state real well. Since the very young age she has been conditioned to be the “reliable one”, the one to lean on, the one who protect, the “responsible one”.  Hell, her one of the most important childhood memories that still haunts her is - being reckless and almost getting Ruby killed”. She feels she can’t allow herself to be weak or to exist FOR herself. And thus she got really good at hiding her issues for sake of those she cares about. As I talked before actually, Ruby now came to imitate the similar behavior too.

... No. No she isn’t. Yang is NOT capable of hiding her emotions. She is the definition of “wearing your heart on your sleeve.” Yang is very open with her emotions to the point her emotions CONTROL her. Her anger controls her like when she got angry and attacked Junior (Which goes against your “responsible one” point), she got angry and lost to Neo, she got angry and capped Mercury and Adam speaks for himself. Then we the instance of Episode 4 where Yang argues with her dad about being an adult...which is her brushing off her flaws and being childish while also letting her anger get to her. Then we have the time Mercury framed her and Yang was visible distraught and crying.

Fact of the matter: Who you are describing here is NOT Yang. In fact, this more akin to RUBY in personality. Ruby hides her emotions and issues as seen in Volume 4 where she tries to hide all the pain she left from the Fall of Beacon and her issues about it. Ruby is responsible when she takes the responsibility to talk to Ozpin and see if she was right to be leader. And the reliable part comes from Jaune himself in Kuroyuri in which she pressed forward and inspired them to do so as well. Just what are you thinking?

Due to everything that she went through and had to do, Yang essentially became a very traumatized version of ESFJ personality type. She is the one to protect and provide for those she cares about. The one to take up responsibilities, even when they are extremely uneven.

Which is why Yang ditches Ruby on the very first day of Beacon, stormed a bar and caused countless amounts in property damage and assaulted innocent people and caped a person in the knee despite having the chance to dodge. Yang is protective of people but to say she takes responsibilities ignores a lot of facts about Yang’s actions and honestly acts like Taiyang doesn’t exist.

But Yang does not stop just at the normal role of caretaker. She does it at the cost of her own well-being and her own identity. She has lived her life in such a way, taking care of others, that she feels obligated to put their needs above her’s. She feels guilty when something something goes wrong and she feels uneeded or worthless when she can’t be of use.

At all. neither is your point about her feeling needed or worthless because she shows pride whenever Ruby shows independence from her.

Its no surprise that someone like that was hit VERY hard by what happened in the end of Volume 3.  She feels like her worth was taken away, she feels useless, she is suffering from PTSD(and no ptsd is nothing like fear of mice, whoever wrote that line should really rethink their life)

No, that’s not why she’s broken down. She’s been humiliated, had her strength taken away from her, thrust into a situation that she can’t deal with on her own or in the way she usually deals with things: yang has been made vuenrable and that’s why she’s like that. And once again: This is ALL stuff RUBY has, not Yang. Stop ignoring facts to support your point.

I am sure this would bring about a question that was there since the start of the article - how is that anything like Raven?

Nothing. These are all traits that either don’t exist or exist in a person so fundamentally different from Raven it would break logic for her to become like Raven.

Let me start talking about Raven by saying something preposterous and shocking - Raven behaves the way Yang will in around decade or so if nothing changes.

She gets angry. she odes not want to talk about it. She does not directly state not caring. She pushes it aside justifying the needs of others beyond her personal being more important.Â

... NO. That is NOT what happened. Raven tried to get Qrow to tell her about the Relic after taking about family, Qrow mentions Yang and if Raven knew what happened to her. Raven tries pushing it away and Qrow talks about how obnoxious she was being talking about family but not Yang. he jabs at her and THEN she grabs his arm to force control. NONE OF THAT has anything to do with raven caring about other people. In fact, the instant the conversations swings to a topic that doesn’t benefit her, she get pissy. Raven is INCREDIBLY selfish as you SHOULD see further on when she talks about knowing that beacon would fall but never lifted a finegr to help them, she denies Qrow help because he isn’t joining her and her tribe of murderers and thevies (Not my words, Qrow’s. You know, THEY GUY RAISED IN THE TRIBE) but rather, she’d be joining him and his group of alturists, she wouldn’t have KILLED an entire village (both personally and leaving them to die by Grimm) for her own selfish goals, abandoned her family to lead the tribe that her OWN BROTHER is disgusted by and refused to help him save the world because he called her out on her shit. The very basis of your is wrong in every convicable way.

Raven is angry when the subject touches too close to personal matters. She feels angry at the sibling she feels has abandoned her.  She feels responsible for a whole tribe that raised them willing to do whatever needs to be done to make them survive. Now does that behavior remind you of anyone?

And she abandoned Qrow...twice, Taiyang, Summer and Yang to lead a group so repugnant that Qrow hates them and all the other shit I said above: THAT IS NOT THE SAME AS YANG CARING ABOUT HER FAMILY. Seriously, this feels more like a compulsive post meant to make a female look good.

Yang is forced to do the same thing, to walk the same path. Yang forces herself to ignore her own needs and appear strong for those who needs her. Just like Raven she avoids dealing with personal issues and counts that as less important. Even deflection mechanism via anger is the same. Except Yang still cares. She still wants to evolve into h er own person beyond who she is. There are multiple scenes through show where she feels weighed down by responsibility and tries to break themold(ex: start of Volume 1 with her implying Ruby should be on separate team and how all of that ends when she feels guilty for Ruby being in danger from Nevermore in the forest).

No, RAVEN JUST DOESN’T CARE ABOUT ANYONE BUT HERSELF! Her actions go directly against any collective or personal issues that do not benefit her. Yang has always cared about others (just not enough to reach Ruby’s level) but has always done her own thing. You are jus wrong here.

The anger is the ONE thing you are right on and that’s fucking obvious.

Taiyang equates Yang’s psychological issues and weakness as “moping”, as something that makes her not ready to be “out there”, not WORTH HIS HELP.

Suddenly, you’re quotes don’t work because Taiyang WAS talking about weakness but about Yang’s immaturity and how she was letting events dictate her life instead of having her control her own life. He was HELPING HER as he was talking.

He implies that Yang needs to get “strong”, to “get back up” before he will help her and before she is “ready”.

That was Raven again. 

He outright refers to Yang as a burden latter on when he is outside too:

Being there for Yang when she needs him. Is a “burden”. Yang is “things to be looked after”. Its the hardest and most cruel words Yang could ever hear. I have no idea why Taiyang feels this way or whether the writing intended this, but this paints Yang’s sorrow as nothing but a burden. Its a huge contrast with how he behaved around Ruby in Volume 3 finale. 

No, he just said: “I have something to take care of.” For a matter of fact, he NEVER said it was Yang. And considering the ending to Volume 4, eh was probably talking about his JOB. Yang took it to mean herself and to tell you the truth: it was probably for the best. yang does care about other people and seeing the possibility of her sister being harmed probably kicked Yang into gear. Guilty can be a powerful motivator, especially to depressed people. And this is talking from experiences.

And it was never implied he thought of it as a burden: he thought of it as a RESPONSIBILITY. Gee, it’s almost like you are demonizing Taiyang.

This evening teaches Yang three things:

She is a burden because she is weak and because she is suffering.

“Moping” is bad and makes you weak. Showing emotions is moping.

Taiyang will give her support when she is back to being strong and useful. All she will get till then is cruel jokes and urging to get “back to normal”.

2. is correct in that moping is bad because you focus solely on the abd and never move onward but the second is bullshit.

And the 3. Is contradicted by canon.

So Yang puts on the arm to appear strong yet again. To disregard her issues. To “stop moping about”. To yet again pretend she is reliable and strong one.

Because being weak is wrong. Because having issues or showing that she has issues is moping and is bad. Because someone who is weak or someone who is hurting “is a burden”.

Wrong. Yang puts on the arm to show that her past doesn’t control her, that she is ready to accept truly what has happened to her and try to move on, to learn and grow. To Keep Moving Forward. 

The only one saying this is You because...I’m guessing you have a pathological need to have all guys be bad and all girls be good.

Does it not sound familiar? Because it should.

It is the logic Raven lives by.

No, that’s “I’m strong so I get to use the weak and kill the weak.” AKA Social Darwinism which is inherently egotistical, arrogant and selfish.

Taiyang, most likely unaware of it and clearly unaware of Yang’s actual issues, is pushing Yang towards becoming like her mother. And before someone yet again decides to send me anon asks threatening out find where I live and kill me, yes I know he has good intentions. That changes nothing. Weak die, strong live. If Yang wants affection or help, she needs to “stop moping” and become useful to her surroundings yet again.

Her feelings? Her emotions? Her weaknesses? That is “moping”.

Fuck you: Even here in Episode 4 Taiyang had a perfect understanding of Yang’s problems. He knew she was hiding from pain and that she was afraid to go back out there. He knew that he couldn’t be gentle with her and he knew what he needed to say so she’ll feel safe and sure to get ready. 

In all honesty, I don’t agree with the threatening to kill you thing but you are WILLFULLY looking at things the wrong way and refuse to take other things into account so if you get flak (and I don’t mean threats) for doing that: You have no one to blame but yourself. You are purposefully misinterpreting the situation and the effects it has. 

Her whole live has taught Yang that you can’t appear to be selfish or have weakness. You have to take care of those who depend on you. In fact the only times she allowed herself to be weak involved Blake. Only a single person was allowed to see Yang being vulnerable. And now the way her own father is behaving and speaking to her at her weakest only reinforces that she can’t allow herself to have issues or to show her suffering to others..

No, that’s not it. Volume 4 takes place 6 months after Volume 3 so that’s six months of Taiyang giving her space and letting her be depressed. And Yang was weak around her uncle Qrow and her father and her sister Ruby so your attempt at Bumbleby pushing ain’t sliding. Stop willfully trying to make Taiyang into the bad guy and Raven into a good guy.

Where this will lead her? At best, she will find staring at Raven in the mirror in few decades. At worst? The being strong out of guilt will lead her towards self-destruction. Because when you only give and give and get nothing in return, there will be the point you have nothing to give. You are left empty.

Except that Yang is getting: she is taking back her life, she is taking back her confidence, she is taking back her arm, she is taking back what she lost. And she’ll take joy and excitement out of her profession because that’s what she wants. The only person now who can hurt her is Adam and Raven.

At this point I can only feel concerned and angry at what Yang is being  put through and can only hope that the show’s narrative is aware enough  of the path it is putting Yang on and Yang is finally allowed to realize  that there’s nothing wrong with having issues or not being the reliable one.  That the expectations of others do not define her. That she has the right to forge her own path. That just because others expect symmetry of her,  does not mean the imperfections are something to throw away. That it is  okay to be imperfect, to be asymmetrical, to feel weak, to display  negative emotions.

... THAT WAS THE FUCKING POINT OF EPISODE 4! It was okay for her to be hurt and okay for her to be afraid but it isn’t okay for her to let those things dictate who she is as a persona nd what her actions and life should be. She forged her own path because taiyang put faith into her and encouraged her to take back her strength. Just because you willfully refuse to see it and instead take it a different way so you can be mad and bitch is not the narrative’s fault, it’s YOURS.

That being Yang is not dependent on  being useful or “being strong” or being reliable. That the only one she needs to satisfy with her identity is herself.

She already knows this, she’s doing this at the beginning of the series: you are just willfully being ignorant so you can bitch and blame the gusy for everything.
