Does the truth of your relationship scare you? All the “negative” feelings you have in your relationship are examples of needs not being met. So let’s address the truth here… People are afraid of the truth because yes, it can seem to unravel everything at first… however, what people forget to focus on, is that the truth creates a new, purer, more authentic foundation upon which we can create a much more fulfilling life. If I told you we could easily bring to the surface all the areas you might need to address in your relationship to be more fulfilled, would you be scared? Or intrigued? (I was excited 😆) You need to get connected to the truth. There is otherwise a huge space between what you say you need and what you accept. And there is pain in that space. Where there is pain, we can numb it. Which only makes us MORE DISCONNECTED from our partner. (The opposite of what we hope “avoiding it” does.) “So much of the pain we experience in life is the resistance to what is true.” Does the truth about your relationship scare you? Addressing the truth creates opportunities to get rid all the fronts you are putting up that are draining your energy. And if you are worried that addressing the truths in your relationship will initially lead to more conflict, try to keep in mind that on the other side of *well-managed* (key words here) conflict is always a deeper connection and understanding of ourselves and our partner. So I will ask again, does the truth of your relationship scare you?
