prologue.
“You know I despise you, right?”
“Oh, despise. Such a big word, baby,” Minho drawled with an obnoxious smirk, the one that simultaneously made you want to rip his hair out and kiss those perfectly delectable lips of his, “If it’s any consolation, I abhor your presence as well.”
“Wonderful,” you crossed your legs, a smile creeping onto your face as you leaned backward in your chair, “So why exactly are you here?”
Minho laughed, “The same reason I presume that you’re here for. A hundred dollars to put up with you is a tempting offer.”

bang chan
The days had blended together. You'd been patient with Chan, as always. Your relationship was strong and quiet, built on mutual understanding and respect. He had work, music, and responsibilities, while you had your own life and routines. You didn't always demand his attention, even when it felt like you were getting the short end of the stick.
But today... today was different.
You’d been waiting for hours.
You knocked on Chan’s door, expecting him to take a break from his work, just for a while. “Hey, you got time to hang out for a bit?” you’d asked, trying to sound casual. He had responded with the usual half-hearted, distracted “in a few minutes,” which was his go-to response when he was buried in his work.
You didn’t mind at first. After all, you knew how much his music meant to him, and you never wanted to be the one to pull him away from something he loved. You could wait. You were patient. But as the minutes dragged into hours, you started to feel a pang of loneliness settle in. He was so absorbed in his work, so consumed by his passion, that you felt like an afterthought. The more you waited, the more the ache in your chest grew.
It wasn’t just that you wanted to spend time with him. You needed to. You had been there for him through everything, supportive and understanding, even when it felt like he wasn’t really noticing. But this? This was starting to hurt.
You were about to go stir-crazy from just sitting there, when Felix called. You answered, needing a distraction, needing something to break the silence and the isolation you were feeling in Chan’s dorm. “Hey, you wanna come hang out at my dorm? We’re just chilling here, nothing special, but it could be fun.”
You hesitated for only a moment before deciding. You hadn’t heard from Chan for hours, and it seemed like he wasn’t even aware of how long you’d been waiting for his attention. You figured it was better to get out, spend time with friends, rather than sit around in silence, feeling invisible.
You didn’t tell Chan where you were going. It wasn’t intentional; you didn’t mean to leave him hanging or make him feel like you were punishing him. You just... left. You weren’t sure if you were doing it to get back at him or because you just needed some company, but whatever the reason, it didn’t seem to matter.
Hours passed, and you had a good time with Felix. He made you laugh, distracted you from the nagging feeling of being ignored, of being forgotten. The night was lighthearted, carefree, and for a while, it felt like everything was fine. But the weight of your silence with Chan was still there, hanging over you. You couldn’t help but feel like you were drifting further from him with each passing minute.
It wasn’t until you got a text from Jeongin asking if you were still at Felix’s that you realized how much time had gone by. You stood up, saying your goodbyes to Felix, who gave you a warm hug and made you promise to hang out again soon. You needed to get back to Chan, to try and make things right.
But when you walked back into the dorm, the sight of Chan standing there fuming, his face twisted with frustration was the last thing you expected.
His voice, cold and sharp, broke the silence.
“So, you have a type then?” His words were laced with bitterness, his gaze a mix of hurt and anger. “When one Aussie won’t give you attention, you run to another?”
You froze, your stomach sinking as his words hit like a slap to the face. He wasn’t even looking at you anymore his eyes were fixed on Felix, who was standing nearby, his hands still wet from doing dishes. The atmosphere in the room was thick with tension.
You opened your mouth to explain, but before you could say anything, Felix was the first to speak, his voice defensive. “Chan, that was a low blow. You can’t just accuse her like that. She didn’t do anything wrong.”
You turned to Chan, feeling the sting of his words. “I asked for your attention hours ago,” you said, your voice quiet, hurt. “I didn’t want to spend the night alone. I wanted to hang out with you. But you didn’t notice, and I waited. I waited for you... and then Felix invited me to hang out, so I went. I didn’t think it was a big deal.”
Chan looked stunned for a moment, as if the reality of what you were saying hadn’t fully hit him. But his face hardened again as he glanced at Felix, and his tone grew more cutting. “Yeah, because clearly, Felix is more fun than I am. You didn’t even think to tell me where you were going, did you? Just run off whenever you feel like it.”
Your heart broke at the accusation. It wasn’t what you had done it was how he had twisted it, as if you had done something wrong. You hadn’t even thought about how hurtful it would be to him; you just wanted to feel seen.
“I’m sorry,” you said, your voice shaking. “I didn’t mean to hurt you, Chan. I’m just... I’m tired of always waiting around. I wanted to spend time with you, and I waited. But you were too busy, and I didn’t want to keep sitting there. I’m not asking for much, I just... I wanted to be with you.”
Felix, who had been standing there, quietly watching the exchange, spoke up again, his voice softer now, understanding. “Chan, you can’t expect her to just wait around forever. She has her own life, her own needs. You can’t keep pushing her away and expect her to always be there when you decide you’re ready to give her attention.”
The silence that followed felt like it lasted an eternity. Chan didn’t respond immediately. His eyes were distant, his jaw clenched as he tried to process everything you were saying.
You could see the guilt settling on his face now, but it wasn’t enough to erase the hurt that had built up between you two. His jealousy, his need to control, had taken over, and now it was too late. You weren’t sure if he could fix this.
“I’m sorry,” he finally muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. “I didn’t realize how much I was pushing you away. I’ve just been so focused on everything else that I... I didn’t see you were hurting.”
You shook your head, tears welling up in your eyes. “It’s not just about that, Chan. It’s about how you’ve been treating me, how you’ve been ignoring me. I’m not a backup plan, I’m not someone you only pay attention to when it’s convenient for you.”
Felix gave you a sad look before stepping away, sensing the gravity of the moment. You could feel the weight of Chan’s gaze on you, and it felt like the distance between you two had never been wider. You wanted to walk up to him, hold him, tell him it was okay, but you didn’t know if it would be okay anymore. His words, his jealousy, had created a rift that was hard to bridge.
With one final, shaky breath, you turned toward the door. “Thank you, Felix,” you said quietly, before walking out of the dorm without looking back at Chan.
You didn’t know where this left you or if things could ever go back to the way they were. But one thing was clear: you weren’t sure you could keep waiting around for someone who didn’t notice when you needed them the most.

lee know
It had been a typical evening at the studio with the rest of the group after practice. The energy was light, filled with laughter and chatter, and you were enjoying spending time with everyone. You had gotten close to each of the guys over the past few months, but one person who had always been like an older brother to you was Chan. He was caring, protective, and someone you’d grown to trust, almost like family.
Tonight, though, there was an innocent interaction that would shift the dynamic of your relationship with Minho, your boyfriend.
As you and the rest of the group were gathered in the lounge area, Chan approached you, holding his phone in his hand. “Hey, I want to show you this hilarious video,” he said, excited to share something with you. You nodded enthusiastically, eager to watch. But as you looked around, you realized there were no free chairs left, and the couch was already filled with the others.
Chan, ever the easygoing person, raised an eyebrow and shrugged. “Well, I guess you’ll just sit on my lap then, since there’s no room anywhere else.”
You laughed, thinking it was just a joke. After all, you had known Chan for so long, and you had always viewed him as a brother figure. You didn’t think twice about it. “Sure, whatever,” you said casually, and you plopped yourself down on his lap, he held his phone in front of you so you could watch together.
You two watched the video together, laughing and chatting, with no intention of doing anything more. You had no idea how it would be received by someone else, especially Minho. You felt at ease around Chan, as you always had, but you couldn't shake the sense that someone else wasn't as comfortable.
Minho, sitting across the room, had been watching you with Chan for a while. His gaze hardened as he saw you and Chan laughing together. The sight of you sitting so naturally on his lap, your faces so close, set something off inside him. His stomach twisted with an unfamiliar feeling that slowly morphed into frustration.
He couldn’t quite put it into words, but as the minutes passed, that frustration grew. It was just so easy for you and Chan. So effortless. You were laughing with him, sharing moments that felt too intimate for his liking. Minho’s fists clenched at his sides as he watched you, jealousy bubbling up inside him. Even though he trusted you, there was something about seeing you with Chan in that moment that made him feel small, like maybe he wasn’t enough.
And when Chan stood up, still joking about the video, and said, “Alright, I’m heading out, see you guys later,” Minho’s eyes narrowed as he watched you stand up to give Chan a hug goodbye.
You wrapped your arms around Chan, giving him a quick, friendly embrace. “Bye, Chan! See you soon!” you said, not thinking anything of it. It was a natural, casual gesture between two friends who had known each other for years. But as Minho watched, the knot in his stomach tightened. The way you hugged him, so easily, so comfortably, it felt like a small betrayal. Not because you had done anything wrong, but because he had let his insecurities get the better of him.
You pulled away from the hug, and you could feel the shift in the atmosphere. Minho wasn’t looking at you anymore. His eyes were distant, his expression unreadable. He was avoiding you, and his silence spoke volumes.
The rest of the evening passed in an uncomfortable silence between you and Minho. He barely spoke to you, his responses clipped and snippy whenever you tried to engage with him. You could feel the tension in the air, but you didn’t know what had triggered it. What was wrong?
As the night went on, you couldn’t take it any longer. You needed to know what was bothering him, and you weren’t going to let it slide. You found him sitting by himself in the corner of the room, scrolling through his phone, his back to you.
You stood there for a moment, unsure of how to approach him, but then you took a deep breath and walked over. “Minho,” you called gently, your voice laced with concern. He didn’t look up at first, but you could see the tension in his shoulders. “What’s going on with you? You’ve barely said a word to me tonight.”
Minho’s jaw tightened as he glanced up at you, his eyes betraying the anger and hurt he was feeling. “Nothing,” he muttered, looking back down at his phone. “Just tired.”
You weren’t buying it. “Minho, I know something’s bothering you. I’m not stupid. You’ve been giving me one-word answers all night. What’s going on?”
He stayed silent for a few moments, before finally putting his phone down and turning his body to face you. His expression was cold, but his voice had a sharp edge to it. “You know exactly what’s bothering me.”
Your heart skipped a beat. “What do you mean?”
“Don’t act like you don’t know,” Minho’s voice was almost bitter now. “It’s Chan. It’s always Chan.” He paused, his frustration seeping through. “The way you were sitting on his lap, the way you hugged him goodbye like it was nothing... Do you not see how that makes me feel?”
You froze for a moment, surprised by the intensity of his feelings. “Minho… It’s not like that. Chan’s like an older brother to me. He’s been a part of my life for so long, and you know that. There’s nothing between us.”
Minho’s expression softened slightly, but there was still that underlying hurt. “I get that,” he said quietly, his voice thick with emotion. “But it still bothers me. I don’t like seeing you so comfortable with him like that. I don’t like feeling like I’m not enough.”
The words hit you harder than you expected. You had never seen Minho so vulnerable, so insecure. You stepped closer to him, reaching out to gently touch his arm. “Minho, you are enough. You’re everything to me. I love you, and I don’t want you to feel like that.”
Minho’s eyes flickered with something uncertain. “But what about Chan? What if you feel something for him that you don’t feel for me?”
You shook your head quickly, your heart aching for him. “No, Minho. You’re my one and only love. I could never feel that way about Chan. You’re the one I’m with. The one I want.”
He was silent for a moment, clearly processing your words. Finally, his lips curved into a teasing grin, and he leaned forward slightly. “Really?” he said, his tone lightening. “You’re sure my legs are stronger than his? You think I’m the one for you?”
You blinked in confusion, a little caught off guard by the shift in his mood. “What? Minho, what are you talking about?”
He chuckled lowly, his eyes mischievous now. “Well, you didn’t seem to think my legs were stronger when you were sitting on Chan’s lap. I mean, his legs must be stronger, right?”
You were immediately flustered, and before you could protest, Minho leaned in even closer, his teasing smile growing. “You’re not getting away that easily. Admit it. You think Chan has the stronger legs.”
You were caught off guard, your cheeks flushing at the playful teasing. “Minho, that’s not—” you stammered, trying to get a word in, but Minho’s arms circled around you, pulling you in tighter as he continued to mess with you.
“Come on, just admit it!” he teased, his hands tickling your sides lightly.
You laughed, wriggling to get free from his grip. “Okay, okay! You’re stronger, Minho! Your legs are stronger!” You finally confessed, laughing breathlessly as Minho pulled away, satisfied with your answer.
“Good,” he said smugly, resting his forehead against yours. “Now you know who’s got the stronger legs.” His eyes softened, and the teasing melted away as he cupped your face in his hands. “And I know I’m the one you love.”
You smiled up at him, your heart finally at ease. “You’re my biggest one and only love, Minho. Always.”
The tension from earlier was gone now, replaced with the comfort of knowing you had both worked through the misunderstandings. Minho’s jealousy had been born from his own insecurities, but after talking it through, you had reassured him that he was your one and only. And now, with the teasing and the laughter, everything felt right again.
It was just another test of trust in your relationship, one that had only made you stronger together.

changbin
The evening was supposed to be casual a simple hangout with Minho. You, Minho, and a few others were grabbing dinner, nothing out of the ordinary. Ever since Changbin introduced you to the group, you’d grown especially close to Minho. His dry wit, his easy-going nature, and the way he always made you feel at ease had led to a friendship that felt natural, comfortable. Changbin didn’t seem to mind at first, and you knew that he trusted you at least, you thought he did.
But when you told him you’d be spending time with Minho tonight, something in Changbin snapped. His face twisted with frustration, his brows furrowing in a way you hadn’t seen in months. He mumbled something about being "fine" but the words didn’t sit right with you. It wasn’t just the tone, it was the way he had turned away so quickly, his back rigid, his jaw clenched. You didn’t think much of it at the time, maybe he was just tired from work or stressed about something. But as the night wore on, the silence between you two grew heavy.
By the time you got back home, you were expecting a quick check-in, maybe a few playful words about how the dinner went. Instead, Changbin was pacing around your apartment, his expression hard and his eyes sharp. He didn’t even greet you, just asked coldly, “How was dinner with Minho?”
You froze for a second, sensing that something was off. “It was fine,” you said, trying to sound casual as you took off your shoes. “We had some good food. Why?”
His eyes narrowed, the intensity of his gaze making you uncomfortable. “You really seem to enjoy spending time with him, don’t you?” There was an edge to his voice now, one that made your stomach tighten with unease.
“What are you talking about?” you asked, laughing nervously, but Changbin didn’t return the smile. He took a step closer, his gaze intense, almost accusing.
“I’m talking about how you act around him,” he spat, his voice rising, and the frustration in his tone grew louder. “You always look so… happy when he’s around. But when I’m with you, it’s like I’m just some placeholder. Is that it? Are you really that close with him? Have I been fooling myself?”
You tried to hold back your shock, but the words hit you harder than you expected. “What? Changbin, that’s not—”
“No, no,” he cut you off, shaking his head as his anger surged. “Don’t act like I’m imagining things. You’re closer to Minho than you are to me. I see the way you look at him. It’s like he’s the only one who gets you.” His voice cracked slightly at the end, and you saw the raw vulnerability beneath his anger. He was hurt, and the jealousy gnawing at him was consuming him in a way you didn’t understand.
“I don’t know what you want me to say,” you tried to reason, your voice trembling now. “Minho is my friend. I’m not doing anything wrong.” You took a cautious step toward him, but he backed away, the space between you two feeling heavier than ever.
“You’re not ‘doing anything wrong’?” His voice was low now, tight with barely controlled rage. “I don’t know what’s worse, watching you laugh and joke around with him while I stand on the sidelines, or seeing you act like everything’s fine when I’m the one here, trying to hold this relationship together. I’m not good enough for you anymore, huh? I’m not the one who makes you happy. He is.”
You could see the pain in his eyes, the anguish behind the jealousy, and for a moment, your heart broke. But it wasn’t just the words. It was how they felt like a blow to your chest. You didn’t want to hurt him, you never did. But the situation felt impossible.
“Changbin, that’s not fair,” you said softly, your voice shaking. “Minho is my friend, and you’re my boyfriend. I care about both of you, but in different ways. You’re the one I’m with, Changbin. Why can’t you see that?”
His face softened for a brief second, but the insecurity still clouded his expression. “I see it, but I don’t feel it. I don’t feel like I’m enough for you. Every time you spend time with him, I start feeling like I’m losing you. I can’t… I can’t stand it.”
You reached out to him, but he flinched, stepping away before your hand could touch him. His back was to you now, his posture rigid, like he was trying to hold everything in.
“I don’t know what you want me to do,” you said, voice breaking. “I can’t just cut Minho off. He’s been there for me, just like you’ve been. I need both of you in my life. I never meant to make you feel like this.”
Changbin’s shoulders trembled, but he didn’t turn to face you. The silence between you both was suffocating, and you could feel the weight of his jealousy pushing him further away.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he spoke in a quiet, strained voice. “I don’t know if I can handle it anymore. Seeing you laugh with him, seeing him make you happy… It just makes me feel like I’m not enough.”
Your heart clenched, and you stepped closer, trying once again to reach him. But he was slipping through your fingers, and you weren’t sure how to stop it.
“I don’t want to lose you,” you whispered, your voice thick with emotion. “But I don’t want to lose him, either. Please… don’t make me choose.”
He didn’t respond. The room felt cold, the air heavy with unspoken words. You could see the battle raging inside him the struggle between love and insecurity and you knew that, in this moment, there was no simple way to fix what had been broken.
The silence stretched on, and you realized that you were standing at a crossroads, unsure of how to navigate the emotional storm. The hardest part wasn’t the jealousy. It was the fear of losing both people you cared about, all because of something you never intended to break.
And now, all you could do was wait for Changbin to find his trust again, and hope that Minho’s friendship wouldn’t fall victim to the jealousy that threatened to tear everything apart.

hyunjin
Hyunjin had always been secure in his relationship with you. He trusted you, knew how much you loved him, and never doubted your loyalty. He was never the type to get jealous; he knew the boundaries of friendship, and Changbin was just that, your friend. In fact, Hyunjin admired how close you and Changbin had become over the years, seeing the bond as something healthy. You each had your hobbies and passions, and the balance between your personal space and time together was something that made your relationship work so well.
But recently, something had been stirring inside Hyunjin that he couldn’t quite place. It wasn’t the feeling of inadequacy he knew that wasn’t it but more like a gnawing discomfort whenever you mentioned the gym or spent time with Changbin there.
You had always enjoyed working out, and Hyunjin, well, he preferred to stay home in his little studio, painting away. He loved the quiet, the solitude, the chance to get lost in his art. It had been your routine. He’d paint while you’d go to the gym, and then you’d both meet up later.
But as weeks passed, he noticed that something was different. He found himself more aware of the hours you were spending with Changbin, sharing in that space, laughing, working out together, getting to know each other even better. It wasn’t like he didn’t trust you he did, with everything in him but there was this sudden, unshakable feeling that maybe there was more to it than just fitness routines and friendly chatter.
At first, he told himself it was nothing. He couldn’t let his own insecurities get in the way. But when he found himself zoning out while trying to finish his latest painting, thoughts of you and Changbin at the gym would seep in. The image of you two lifting weights, your smiles, your shared moments… it began to bother him more than he expected.
Then, the shift came one evening when he was finishing up a piece in the studio, and he heard the familiar sound of your footsteps approaching. He looked up to see you standing in the doorway, and for a split second, he wondered if you were tired from your workout, or if something had happened. You gave him your usual smile, your face glowing from the exertion, but something felt off to him.
“You want to join us tomorrow?” you asked casually, like it was no big deal.
But Hyunjin’s mind began to race. You weren’t just asking about a workout session; you were giving him an opening to step into that space with you and Changbin. And for some reason, the thought of it filled him with a kind of anxiousness he couldn’t quite explain.
“I don’t know…” he mumbled, staring at his paintbrush, his fingers gripping it tighter than usual. “I’ve got a lot to do here.”
You tilted your head, sensing something was off but not pressing. “Okay, no worries. Just thought I’d invite you.”
The next few days followed a similar pattern. He’d find himself either painting in his studio or pacing the apartment, unable to focus on his work. You’d come home from the gym, and there was this lingering tension in the air, something Hyunjin couldn’t shake.
Finally, it happened. You and Changbin were heading out to the gym, and Hyunjin found himself at a crossroads. He had been pretending for weeks now that he didn’t care, but that feeling of jealousy had only grown stronger with each passing day. Maybe it was the late-night texts you and Changbin had exchanged about workout tips, or the inside jokes you’d developed with him. Maybe it was the way you spoke about him so casually like a friend you’d been close with for years. But to Hyunjin, it felt like something else, something more, something he was losing out on.
“Wait,” he said suddenly, before you could close the door behind you. His voice cracked slightly, betraying the frustration he had been holding back.
You turned to him, confused. “Yeah?”
“I… I think I’ll join you both at the gym today,” he said, his words coming out in a rush. “I mean, if that’s alright?”
You blinked in surprise. This was unlike Hyunjin, who had never expressed any interest in working out with you before. You smiled softly, assuming it was just a one-time thing, maybe just a way for him to get out of his studio for a while.
“Oh, okay! Sure, come on, it’ll be fun.”
But deep down, Hyunjin wasn’t joining because he suddenly felt like getting fit. No, he was joining because he needed to be closer to you, needed to have more control over what was happening. He didn’t like how much time you were spending with Changbin.
The gym was always meant to be a space for you to unwind, a time where you could let off steam and feel good about yourself, but now it felt different. The moment Hyunjin showed up, you noticed the shift. Changbin greeted him, and there was a brief awkwardness in the air. It wasn’t that Changbin was upset, but he could tell something was off. He gave Hyunjin a friendly nudge, but Hyunjin was too distracted, too wrapped up in his own feelings of insecurity.
The session itself was strange. Hyunjin didn’t know what to do with himself. He’d pick up weights, pretend to follow along with you two, but his mind was somewhere else entirely. He caught himself watching how you and Changbin interacted how comfortable you were, how you laughed at his jokes, how close you seemed. His stomach churned with an unspoken fear of losing that, of losing you to the connection you shared with someone else.
After the workout, when the three of you were sitting together, Hyunjin realized he couldn’t pretend anymore. The jealousy, the discomfort, all of it was too much to hide. It wasn’t about the gym or Changbin at all it was about the fear that maybe, just maybe, he was losing a piece of you he thought he had all to himself.
He waited until you both were headed back home, the tension thick in the air. You glanced at him, sensing his mood, and that’s when he let it all spill out.
“I don’t like it…” he admitted softly. “I don’t like how much time you’re spending with him. It’s not about Changbin. I trust him, it’s just… I feel like I’m losing something, like I’m not enough anymore.”
You stopped in your tracks, eyes wide. “Hyunjin… you know I love you, right? I didn’t think you’d feel this way.”
His face softened, guilt washing over him for letting his feelings get this far. “I didn’t want to feel like this. I just… I’m scared. I don’t want to lose you.”
You reached for his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. “You haven’t lost me, Hyunjin. You never will. But you’ve got to trust me, trust us. Nothing’s going to change, okay?”
Hyunjin sighed, relief mingling with the heaviness in his chest. He knew it wasn’t about the gym or Changbin, it was about his own insecurities. And with you by his side, he could learn to let go of that fear.

HAN
You’d been so caught up in your own world lately. Between work, friends, and your hobbies, you didn’t even realize how distant things had become with Jisung. You had been spending more time with Seungmin, hanging out, going out, and laughing together. It wasn’t anything special at first. it was just easy, a friendship you both enjoyed. But lately, you felt something shift in the way you connected. Jisung had noticed, too, but he wasn’t saying anything. He kept it to himself, just like he always did when something bothered him.
One evening, you saw that a new movie had come out, a movie you and Jisung had been talking about watching together for weeks. You were both excited about it, and you had promised him you’d watch it the moment it was released. But when Seungmin invited you to hang out and go see the movie with him, you didn’t think twice. You figured Jisung would be fine with it. After all, you’d planned to watch it together, and it wasn’t like you were ditching him on purpose. You were just hanging out with a friend, right?
It wasn’t until you returned home that evening that you realized how wrong you were.
You walked in, expecting Jisung to be asleep or deep into his own world of music production, but instead, you found him sitting on the couch, looking uncharacteristically tense. He had been waiting for you. His eyes were locked on the screen, but his body was stiff, and his jaw was clenched, like he was holding something in.
“Hey, I’m back!” you said with a bright smile, tossing your bag onto the chair.
Jisung didn’t respond at first, his gaze still fixed on the TV. There was a long, uncomfortable silence before he finally turned to you, his face expressionless, but there was a flicker of something in his eyes hurt, disappointment. He couldn’t even look at you when he spoke.
“Had fun?” His voice was sharp, almost too casual, as if he was trying to hide the sting.
You froze, your smile faltering. “Yeah, it was good. Seungmin and I went to see that new rom com movie. It was really funny,” you said, not realizing how much the words would hurt him.
Jisung’s eyes darkened slightly, his lips pressing together in frustration. “You went to watch our movie... with Seungmin?”
You felt your heart drop at the change in his tone, but you couldn’t quite place the tension in his voice. “Jisung, I didn’t mean to... I just—”
“I know what you meant,” he snapped, cutting you off. “It’s fine. You’re allowed to do whatever you want.” He turned away from you, his posture tense, and you could see the way his fingers clenched into fists at his sides.
“Wait,” you said, stepping forward, trying to reach him. “Jisung, I didn’t think—”
“Didn’t think?” he repeated, turning back to face you, his face a mask of frustration and hurt. His eyes, usually so warm and full of laughter, were now clouded with something deeper, something darker. “You didn’t think. That’s the problem.”
You stood there, trying to piece it together. “I didn’t think what?”
Jisung finally let out a shaky breath, his emotions bubbling over in a way you had never seen before. “That movie,” he muttered, his voice trembling with emotion. “I’ve been talking about it for weeks. You promised me we would watch it together. And you went with Seungmin instead. Just like that.”
His words stung in ways you hadn’t expected. You tried to speak, but no words came. He was right. You had promised him you’d watch it together, and you had completely disregarded that promise. In the moment, it hadn’t even crossed your mind that it would hurt him. But now, as you saw the pain in his eyes, you realized just how much it meant to him.
“I didn’t mean to hurt you,” you said softly, your heart aching. “I just... I wasn’t thinking. I thought you’d be okay with it. I’m sorry.”
Jisung shook his head, his voice thick with emotion. “You don’t get it, do you? I’ve been wanting to do something with you. Something just the two of us. And you went with him instead. How long has this been going on, huh? How long have you been pushing me aside for Seungmin?”
The question hit you like a punch to the gut. You never realized how much Jisung had been internalizing his feelings, how much he had been keeping inside while you were just going along with things, assuming everything was fine. You thought your bond was strong enough to handle a little time apart, but for him, it was a breaking point. He felt replaced, ignored, and left behind.
“Jisung, no, that’s not what this is about—” you began, but he cut you off again, his voice rising in frustration.
“I’m not stupid!” he shouted, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles were white. “I know when I’m being replaced. I know when I’m not enough for you anymore. You’ve been pulling away from me for weeks, and I didn’t say anything. I thought it was just in my head. But now... now I can’t pretend anymore.”
The raw pain in his voice hit you like a wave, and you felt the tears well up in your eyes as you reached for him, desperate to make him understand. “No, Jisung, I need you to know that this isn’t about you! I care about you so much. You’re not being replaced, I swear. I never meant to make you feel that way.”
But Jisung was already pulling away, his face crumpling with emotion. “You don’t get it, Y/N. Every time I tried to make plans with you, you were too busy with Seungmin. Every time I tried to be there for you, you were already gone. I’m not just some backup. I don’t want to be someone you’re only half invested in.”
The words hit harder than you ever thought they could. You knew he was hurt, but hearing it all laid out in front of you made it feel like a punch to the gut. You didn’t mean to make him feel this way. You didn’t know how deeply it was affecting him, how much he was bottling up inside.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered, voice cracking. “I didn’t realize how much this was hurting you. I never wanted to make you feel this way.”
Jisung didn’t say anything at first. Instead, he just stood there, his shoulders shaking as the weight of it all finally hit him. His facade cracked, and for the first time in what felt like forever, you saw him break down in front of you. His voice was barely a whisper as he spoke again, a tremble in his words. “I don’t know if I can keep doing this. Keep pretending that I’m okay when I’m not.”
Your heart shattered at the sight of him, and you reached for him, pulling him into an embrace. But he didn’t hug you back right away. He just stood there, limp in your arms, his face buried in your shoulder as he let out a choked sob.
“I’m sorry, Jisung,” you whispered over and over, feeling the weight of his pain pressing down on you. “I’m so sorry. I never wanted to hurt you. I promise we’ll fix this. I’ll make it up to you. Please don’t shut me out.”
Jisung didn’t respond. Instead, he just clung to you, his tears soaking your shirt as the rawness of everything finally broke free. You knew that this wasn’t going to be easy to fix. But for the first time, you understood the depth of his pain. And you knew that if you wanted to save your relationship, you had to start listening, really listening, to how he was feeling before it was too late.

felix
It had been weeks now, but it felt like Felix was slipping further and further away. At least, that’s how it seemed to you. In the beginning, he had always known how to strike that perfect balance between spending time with you and indulging in his own hobbies. He always made sure to give you the attention you needed, whether that was planning spontaneous dates or simply being present, talking about your day, or even just lying in silence together. You were both busy people, but the moments you spent together were cherished.
But lately? Lately, Felix seemed distracted. He was often glued to his games, headphones on, fully immersed in his world, leaving you to feel like an outsider in your own relationship. The first few times, you brushed it off he was just in his zone. But it became a pattern. You would arrive at his place, excited to spend time together, only for him to be absorbed in his game, leaving you to sit quietly on the couch. He would tell you, “Just a few more minutes,” or “I’m almost done with this round,” his attention more on the screen than you.
You had tried to understand, tried to tell yourself that it was no big deal. But the more it happened, the more frustrated you became. It wasn’t that you didn’t want him to enjoy his hobby, but it felt like you were becoming invisible to him. The moments that used to be filled with warmth and laughter now felt empty and lonely.
Today, you had planned to spend some much needed quality time together, but as usual, Felix was too focused on his game. He barely noticed when you walked into the living room. He greeted you with a distracted, “Hey, babe,” before putting his headset back on, signaling he was about to talk to his friends again.
It hurt. More than you expected it to.
You had always tried to be patient, to understand his need for downtime, but there was only so much you could take. You tried to sit next to him, but as soon as you did, you felt like an interruption. He barely acknowledged your presence, his attention fixed on his screen and the voices of his friends through the headset.
A surge of frustration bubbled up, and you stood up, pacing the room. “Felix, seriously? Can you give me some attention for once?”
“Just a few more minutes, please,” he said, barely looking at you. His voice was soft, but there was an edge of irritation in it, as if your request was an inconvenience.
You stood there for a moment, trying to hold it in, but the hurt was too much. “I’m not asking for much, Felix. I’m just asking for a little time together.”
His eyes flickered to you for a moment, his expression apologetic, but he didn’t take off his headset or pause his game. He didn’t even turn the volume down. You stood there, feeling small and invisible, before the frustration finally overtook you.
“I’m going to the living room,” you muttered, walking out of the room before he could say anything.
In the living room, you found Jeongin lounging on the couch, his phone in hand, scrolling through something. He looked up when you entered, offering a half-smile.
“What’s going on?” he asked casually, noticing the way you were clearly fuming.
“Felix is being…” You trailed off, unable to fully explain. “He’s just been ignoring me all day. I’m so frustrated.”
Jeongin raised an eyebrow. “Oh, so he’s gaming again?”
You nodded, rubbing your temples. “Yeah, that’s all he does now. I don’t even know why I’m surprised at this point.”
Jeongin’s expression softened slightly. “Sounds like you need to get out of here for a bit.”
You laughed bitterly. “You’re not wrong.”
Jeongin tilted his head, considering. “Want to do something? I’m free.”
You hesitated, looking at him. It wasn’t like you hadn’t spent time with Jeongin before, but you also didn’t want to make Felix feel more neglected than he probably already did. But at the same time, you couldn’t keep pretending everything was fine when it wasn’t.
“Yeah, let’s go shopping,” you suggested, needing a change of scenery, needing to not be stuck in that apartment feeling invisible.
Jeongin jumped up, clearly excited. “Shopping? I’m in. Let’s go.”
You grabbed your purse and walked out without telling Felix anything. You weren’t sure why you felt so petty, but you didn’t feel like explaining yourself to him right now. You needed space from Felix, space from the frustration that had been building up. You just wanted to feel like you mattered again, like you weren’t always second to his games.
A few hours later, you were walking around the mall with Jeongin, laughing at random things, enjoying the simplicity of not having to deal with the tension back at the apartment. You didn’t think about Felix, didn’t even check your phone until it buzzed in your pocket.
It was a call from him.
You sighed before answering. “Hey.”
“You’re not here,” Felix’s voice came through, and there was a clear note of annoyance in it. “I’ve been waiting for you. Where did you go?”
You didn’t feel guilty at first. You just felt exhausted. “I’m out. With Innie.”
“Innie?” Felix’s voice tightened, and you could almost hear him grip the phone harder. “You left to go hang out with him instead of being here with me?”
You froze, the frustration from earlier bubbling up again. “I didn’t leave to hang out with Jeongin. I left because you’ve been completely ignoring me, Felix. You’ve been glued to your game all day, and I’ve tried to be patient, but it’s like I don’t even exist when you’re playing.”
There was silence on the other end, and for a moment, you thought Felix was going to apologize. But when he spoke again, his tone was sharp. “So this is how it’s going to be? You’re going to leave just because I’m playing a game? That’s really mature of you.”
You blinked, taken aback by the sudden snap in his voice. “Felix, I’m not asking you to drop everything, but I can’t keep being ignored like this. I want to spend time with you, but it feels like you don’t care about that anymore.”
The line was silent for a long moment, and you could feel your heart sinking. When he finally spoke again, his words were cold. “I guess I’m just not enough for you, huh?”
Your chest tightened at the finality in his words. “That’s not it, Felix. I just… I want to feel like I matter.”
There was another beat of silence, then the sound of a frustrated sigh. “Fine. Whatever,” he muttered before ending the call without another word.
You stood there, staring at your phone, your heart heavy with disappointment. You hadn’t expected it to go like this. You hadn’t expected him to snap at you, to treat your feelings like they were an inconvenience. It felt like the distance between you was growing, and no matter how hard you tried to reach out, he was always slipping away.
You pocketed your phone, feeling that weight settle in your chest. Jeongin, who had been watching you quietly, raised an eyebrow. “You okay?”
You shook your head, trying to push the tears back. “No. I don’t know what’s going on anymore. It’s like I’m invisible.”
Jeongin stepped closer, his expression softer now. “You’re not invisible. You’re just… you’re just trying to get him to notice you. And sometimes people don’t realize what they have until it’s gone.”
You nodded slowly, swallowing hard. “I hope he realizes before it’s too late.”

seungmin
The last few weeks had been suffocating for Seungmin, and it wasn’t something he knew how to talk about. He prided himself on being calm, collected, the one who could weather any storm without letting emotions take control. But this feeling, this unbearable weight that had settled in his chest, had been eating away at him with every passing day.
You had always been important to him, but the more time you spent with Hyunjin, the more it felt like something was slipping away. It wasn’t just that you were getting close to him it was that Hyunjin was everything you seemed to want now. It started so innocently. You mentioned you were interested in learning how to paint, and naturally, Hyunjin, being the artist he was, had offered to teach you. But what had started as a casual hobby had quickly turned into something much more intimate.
You and Hyunjin had spent hours together, learning techniques, laughing at the mess you made, sharing quiet moments over your canvas. At first, Seungmin tried to brush it off. He told himself it was just a phase, just something new you were interested in. He told himself there was no reason to be jealous, that it was silly to feel left out. But as the days went by, he began to notice something else. Something deeper.
The way you looked at Hyunjin, the way you smiled when he praised your work, the way your eyes sparkled with excitement whenever you talked about your painting sessions. It cut through him like a knife. It was as if the bond you and Seungmin had shared for so long was being slowly replaced, piece by piece, with Hyunjin. The more you two connected, the less Seungmin seemed to matter. You used to tell him everything. You used to come to him with the smallest details of your day, your worries, your joys. But now? Now, it was Hyunjin you turned to. It was Hyunjin who was there when you needed someone to talk to, and it was Hyunjin who made you laugh, who gave you that look of admiration and praise.
It didn’t take long for Seungmin to start feeling like an outsider in his own life.
The worst part was that he couldn’t bring himself to express any of it to you. Every time he tried to put the words together, something stopped him. He was scared of sounding petty, of sounding possessive, of ruining what little time you had with him. He told himself that you had every right to spend time with anyone you wanted, but the pain was growing unbearable, suffocating him with every minute that passed. It felt like he was watching someone else claim the part of you that had always belonged to him.
And so, he did what he always did, he buried it. Seungmin stopped reaching out to you, stopped asking how your painting was going. He kept his distance when he saw you and Hyunjin laughing together in the corner of the room, pretending he didn’t notice how it made his chest tighten. He began avoiding eye contact, pulling away even more whenever you came near. He didn't want to admit that it was jealousy eating him alive. He didn't want to admit that he was terrified of losing you.
You, oblivious to the storm raging inside him, continued on as if nothing had changed. Every time you mentioned Hyunjin, every time you excitedly told him about the next technique Hyunjin had taught you, it was like another knife to his heart. He wanted to be happy for you. He wanted to be the one to encourage your new hobby, but it felt so hollow.
It all came to a breaking point one night, during another quiet hangout. You were sitting on the floor, Hyunjin next to you, as you both worked on your paintings. You had been so close to him, your shoulders brushing as you exchanged thoughts on color palettes. Seungmin couldn’t take it anymore. The room felt suffocating, the noise of everyone around him fading as his gaze fixated on the two of you. The jealousy, the hurt, all bubbled to the surface.
He snapped before he could stop himself. “Are you two done?” His voice was sharp, cutting through the room like a blade. You flinched, and the others looked over at him, confused.
“What?” you asked, clearly taken aback by the sudden outburst.
“You’ve been glued to him all night,” Seungmin spat, his voice filled with raw pain. “Are you even going to look at me tonight, or is it just him? You don’t seem to care about anyone else anymore.”
The words felt like they had been ripped from his chest, but the second they left his mouth, regret came crashing down on him. This wasn’t him. This wasn’t the Seungmin you knew. But it was too late. The damage was done.
Hyunjin, who had been silent up until then, stood up, his eyes narrowed in defense. “What the hell is that supposed to mean, Seungmin? She’s just learning something new. What’s your problem?”
Seungmin turned to him, his fists clenched. He hated the way Hyunjin was standing up for you, but more than that, he hated the way it made him feel small. “My problem is that she’s all you care about now. You’re the one who’s always there for her. Not me.”
Seungmin couldn’t look at either of you anymore. He stormed out of the room, unable to stay in that suffocating atmosphere for another second. He couldn’t even look at you, he couldn’t bear to see the disappointment in your eyes.
You followed him, calling his name softly as you found him standing by the door, trying to control his breathing. He was shaking. His mind was racing, but it was too late to take anything back. He had said the words. He had let the jealousy get the best of him, and now he couldn’t fix it.
“Seungmin,” you said softly, but your voice sounded so far away. “What’s going on? You’ve been avoiding me for days, and now this… what are you even trying to say?”
He couldn’t look at you. “I don’t know,” he muttered. “I don’t know anymore. Maybe… maybe I’m just scared that you’ll… you’ll stop needing me. That you’ll find someone else who fits better with you.”
You stepped closer, but his words seemed to have knocked the air from your lungs. You looked at him, and for the first time, Seungmin saw the hurt in your eyes. Not the confusion, but the real hurt. The realization that maybe, just maybe, he wasn’t the person you thought he was anymore.
"Seungmin…" you whispered, your voice broken. "You’ve been pushing me away for weeks. I didn’t know you were feeling like this. I thought we were okay."
He swallowed hard, shaking his head. “I thought if I stayed quiet, if I just… kept my distance, I wouldn’t mess this up. But I did. I know I did.”
You took another step forward, your voice trembling as you said, “You don’t have to push me away. I’m here. But if you’re not honest with me, if you keep hiding from me, I don’t know how we can fix this.”
Seungmin felt the crushing weight of his mistake pressing on his chest. Could he fix this? Could he fix the distance that had grown between you, the jealousy that had turned into bitterness? He wasn’t sure. But the silence between you two felt like it was stretching on forever, and for the first time, Seungmin felt the real fear of losing you, not just to Hyunjin, but to his own insecurities.

I.N
The soft hum of the kitchen was interrupted only by the gentle scrape of your spatula against the bowl. You had been working on this cake for hours, mixing, measuring, perfecting. It wasn’t just any cake. It was for Jisung, your close friend, the one who had always encouraged your love for baking. Ever since he’d asked you to teach him how to bake, you’d grown even closer, bonding over the shared experience of perfecting recipes and creating something sweet together. You knew how much he loved your desserts, and it felt special almost intimate in the way he appreciated your effort.
You were genuinely excited, and that excitement kept you focused as you carefully put the batter into a pan. It was a symbol of your friendship, a gesture of gratitude for his constant support. You smiled to yourself, imagining his reaction when he saw it later, the way his eyes would light up. Jisung had always been the kind of friend who made every moment feel lighthearted, and it meant the world that he would be celebrating with you today.
But as you concentrated on the final details, you noticed the change in the room. The weight of the air shifted, and you couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. Every time Jeongin passed by, there was a distinct tension that you couldn’t ignore. It was subtle at first, just a flicker of annoyance in his eyes when he walked past. A slight edge in his tone when he grabbed a drink from the fridge and mumbled, "Still working on that stupid cake?" The words weren’t harsh, but they carried an undertone of something deeper, something you couldn’t quite place.
You had always teased Jeongin about his jealousy. The way his eyes would narrow whenever you spent time with other people or how his voice would take on a playful but sharp edge when someone else had your attention. You always called him cute, told him not to worry, reassured him that he was the one who mattered most. It was always just a little game, a tease, a shared joke between the two of you. But today, there was no playfulness in his reactions. No warmth in his scowl.
The moment he asked if you wanted to go for a walk, you didn’t think much of it. Normally, you’d jump at the chance to spend time with him, especially with the weather being so nice. But today, you couldn’t. The cake was still in the oven, and there was this gnawing excitement within you that you couldn’t shake. "Not now, I’m almost done with this," you replied without hesitation. It wasn’t anything personal, it wasn’t about him it was about the cake, about Jisung’s birthday, about something you were doing for a friend.
But Jeongin’s eyes darkened in response, and his voice dropped into something dangerously quiet. "Why are you baking a cake for him? You’ve never baked one for me." There was no teasing this time, no hint of joking. His words were sharp, biting. "It seems too romantic, don’t you think? Don’t you see it?"
Your heart skipped a beat. You hadn’t realized just how deep his feelings ran, or how much he had been bottling up. You thought it was a harmless joke between you two, but this... this was different. You looked up at him, feeling the knot in your stomach tighten. His eyes were wide, hurt, and angry, all at once. It was a look you had never seen before, and it sent a wave of guilt crashing over you.
"Jeongin, it’s not like that," you tried to explain, your voice softening, but your hands were trembling now, the frosting you had just prepared, forgotten. "It’s just a cake. It’s for Jisung. I—"
"Yeah, but why him?" Jeongin interrupted, his voice growing louder, desperation creeping into it. "Why does it always have to be everyone else? You never think about me, never do something like that for me. I always tell you that I don’t mind, but I do. You never see it. You always act like I’m just some joke, like my feelings don’t matter."
You froze. Your mind raced to find the right words, but all you could hear was the pounding of your heart in your ears. The weight of his words was suffocating, and suddenly the kitchen, the cake, the warm air that had once been comforting, felt like a prison. You had never realized how much Jeongin needed you, how much he felt overlooked, overshadowed. You had never noticed how deeply his jealousy ran, how much he had been quietly aching, all the while you had thought of it as something harmless, something sweet.
"I didn’t mean to hurt you," you whispered, but the words didn’t seem to matter. Jeongin’s gaze dropped, his jaw tightening as his frustration boiled over.
"Yeah, well, maybe I’m tired of pretending I’m okay with it," he muttered under his breath. "Maybe I’m tired of always being the afterthought."
The truth of his words landed with an ache in your chest. It wasn’t just about the cake. It wasn’t even about Jisung. It was about the months, the years, of you and Jeongin existing in this delicate balance where you never saw how much he needed you, how much he craved the same kind of attention you gave to everyone else. The realization hit you with a cruel force: you had been so caught up in your own world, in your friendships, in the gestures you thought were innocent, that you had missed the small things the subtle signs that showed Jeongin was hurting.
Your head spun, and before you could even comprehend what was happening, the sharp scent of burnt cake cut through the air. You looked at the oven, horror rising in your throat as you rushed to it. The cake, your hours of work was ruined. The edges were blackened, the once-soft sponge now a charred mess.
It was gone. Everything you had worked for, every hope you’d had of giving Jisung a perfect birthday surprise, gone in an instant.
You turned to Jeongin, your face flushed with frustration, helplessness, and something darker. "Are you happy now?" you bit out, your voice sharp and full of anger you didn’t know you had. "Is this what you wanted? I’ve spent hours working on this cake, and now it’s ruined. Just like everything else."
Jeongin didn’t respond. He stood there, staring at you, a mixture of guilt and anger in his eyes. But it wasn’t enough. Not enough for you to stop. Without thinking, you stormed out of the kitchen, your heart pounding in your chest as you fled to the solitude of your room.
The anger didn’t fade. The guilt didn’t ease. You had never felt so utterly disconnected from him, yet somehow, in that distance, you also realized how desperately you needed to fix what had been broken.

-💕
Bangchan:
He’s taken off a few days just for you. He wants to be able to wake up in the morning beside you. Spend all morning getting everything perfect. Has flowers everywhere in the house. He’s making you breakfast in bed too. He doesn’t have much of a plan just wanting to do whatever you want to do. “Today is about us, we are gonna spend it doing whatever you wanna do today” by the end of the night he has a little heart necklace with both your birthstones in it.
Minho:
Would definitely plan a nice dinner. He has all your favorite foods prepared for you. Has the table set all professionally too. Candle light, a glass of whine and the perfect slow music to set the mood. He’s not letting you lift a finger either. Will serve you the food and watch as you take the first bite. He’s super blushy about the whole thing but try’s to play it off. “It’s good right? Cause I made it with love” he’d say with that smirk he does.
Changbin:
Just like Chan took a few days off, he’s planned a nice little vacation almost. The place he brings you to is a bit away from all the fuss just a little get away. He wants to be there with you and only you. He’ll try his best to cook dinner but ultimately he’ll probably order something. He’s definitely one to want to just have you in his arms and tell you how much you mean to him. He’s such a good talker and knows exactly what to say. You both will reminisce about the funny moments and cute times.
Hyunjin:
The little romantic would have such a day planned. I feel like he’d love just a nice quiet day to spend with you. Like planning a picnic, taking a walk through like a flower field and just sitting there taking pictures of you. He’d definitely be gifting you a painting as well. Something with a lot of meaning to the both of you. He’s so sweet and will just go on and on about how much he loves you. Also he’d definitely would make a cute scrapbook of pictures of your times together.
Jisung:
He’ll express himself in one of the only ways he knows. Making you a song. He can find it hard to tell you how he’s feeling but he made this song in like record time. He’s bringing you on a little walk and just casually plays it for you. Bonus if you start crying because that boy will tease you but panic. He definitely is planning one of the biggest cuddle dates for the rest of the night. Wanting nothing more than to spend all the time he can with you.
Felix:
Baking you the best treats. This man has been planning for like weeks. Makes you the best dessert and takes you to one of your favorite restaurants. He’s gonna be looking at you with all the love in the world. Sitting across the table he’ll be holding your hand just rambling on and on about how much you mean to him. Would definitely be getting you both little matching rings. Slipping it on your finger as he talks to you.
Seungmin:
Probably surprises you just how romantic he can be, with a side of teasing of course. He’ll post some “bad” pictures of you to his story telling everyone how much he loves you. But as soon as you see him he’s got that big smile running to hug you. “What do you mean you hate those pictures? They’re my favorites!” Has a big bouquet of flowers waiting for you at home. Gets your favorite take out so you two can sit at home and just enjoy each others company. Will definitely play you something on his guitar.
Jeongin:
You have a whole day ahead of you! Matching outfits of course. He’s taking you shopping buying you anything you even remotely look at. He’s basically playing the “say yes to everything game” because anything you ask is met with a yes. No hesitation. You wanna go get dinner? Done. You want that ice cream place that’s like 30mins away? Done. Today’s all about you and making the love of his life happy.

Han Jisung had been on Earth for about three months now. His first few days had been confusing, to say the least. He had crash-landed in the middle of a field with no idea where he was or what had just happened. The sky above him had been full of stars, and as the ship crumpled and buckled around him, the noise of it all—frantic, sharp, and thunderous—had made his head spin.
But then, everything went quiet. Too quiet.
Jisung stood up, dusting himself off, and immediately started hearing the faintest hum under his feet, in the wind, inside his head. His head, which, let’s be honest, had been full of way too many thoughts, but none of them made sense. He could hear the chirp of a bird from miles away, and he could feel the vibration of distant cars, even the soft rustling of leaves in the trees… and it was like the whole world was speaking to him. He couldn’t help but wonder if everyone could hear it.
Spoiler: they couldn’t.
So, that was his first clue that things were going to be very different on Earth.
Jisung tried to blend in. He tried his best to mimic the way humans lived, talk like them, understand the world like they did. But what made it even more difficult was his abilities. He didn’t know where they came from, why he could control sound, or even why everything he touched sometimes vibrated or trembled. Whenever he accidentally made something crack, like a doorframe or a glass cup, he couldn’t understand why everyone else didn’t notice. It felt normal to him, but it was just too normal to the humans around him, and they thought he was just some weird, super-loud weirdo.
That was when he met you.
You had been shopping at the local convenience store, minding your own business, when you heard a strange, low hum. You glanced over and saw Jisung standing near the counter, his fingers twitching as if he were controlling something invisible in the air. He seemed lost, confused even, trying to calm himself as the air buzzed with an unnatural static.
And then, in the most unexpected move, he bumped into you.
“Oh, sorry,” Jisung said, blinking up at you with wide eyes. “I didn’t mean to… um, crash into you.”
You looked at him for a second, still processing the fact that something had vibrated in the air. You smiled, because you were curious, and his awkwardness was endearing. “No worries,” you said, laughing. “It’s just that… you’re, um, kinda vibrating.”
He looked at you, eyes still wide, as if you had spoken in a completely different language. “I am?”
“Yup. A little bit. It’s cool, though,” you reassured him. “I mean, I can’t do it. That’d be weird, right?”
And just like that, your strange connection had been made.
From then on, you found yourself bumping into Jisung more and more—literally and figuratively. It was like he kept running into situations that were just a little too much for him to handle. You’d find him pacing nervously in the corner of a coffee shop, his hands jittering with the hum of sound he couldn’t control, and you’d go up and calmly ask, “Need some help?”
“Yeah… I think so?” Jisung would reply sheepishly, his eyes filled with uncertainty. “I swear I’m not trying to cause trouble. It’s just—this just happens sometimes.”
You smiled, holding out a hand. “Well, I think you’re safe here. I can’t hear what you’re hearing, but I think you’re pretty cool. So, take a breath, and just focus. You’re not alone in this.”
You always made him feel like it was okay. That he wasn’t an alien. That he wasn’t a freak. And maybe it helped that you had a way of seeing the world that others didn’t. After all, who else would hear Jisung’s sound hum like a beautiful melody, even if it did shake the windows a little too much?
One afternoon, while hanging out in the park, you found Jisung struggling again. The whole world felt like it was vibrating around him—louder and more intense than it had ever been before. It was like the noise of the world was pressing in on him, and the confusion was starting to show.
“Jisung,” you called out, grabbing his attention. “Stop for a sec. You’re going to make everything go haywire.”
“I can’t help it!” He groaned, running his hands through his hair. “Everything just feels so loud. Why can’t humans hear it like I do? I just want to talk to someone who gets it!”
You stepped closer, placing a hand on his arm. “Hey, you’re not alone. Not anymore. And if anyone can understand feeling everything all at once, it’s me. It’s okay. Just let me help.”
For a second, Jisung just stared at you, his chest rising and falling as he tried to steady himself. Then, slowly, he exhaled, a small smile pulling at the corners of his lips. “Thanks… I guess I’m still figuring it out.”
“You don’t have to figure everything out on your own,” you said softly. “You have me.”
And somehow, hearing those words felt like the safest place Jisung had ever known.
As the weeks went by, you became his anchor, his sounding board, the one person who didn’t find his abilities strange, but fascinating. You were always there, offering encouragement and protection when the world around him started to close in. No one could understand why the world had started changing, why the oppressive tension had risen so suddenly, but with you by his side, Jisung felt like maybe, just maybe, it would all be okay.
One evening, as the sun set and painted the sky in soft shades of pink, you and Jisung sat side by side on the rooftop of his apartment. You were both silent for a while, taking in the view. The air felt peaceful, but there was still that strange hum under your feet—faint, but persistent.
“I’m glad you’re here,” Jisung whispered, turning to look at you. “I really don’t know what I’d do without you.”
You smiled at him, nudging him gently. “You don’t have to worry about that. I’ll always be here, Jisung. I’ll protect you. You’re not alone.”
And in that moment, the hum of the world faded just a little bit, and all that was left was the soft connection between you two—a bond that could never be broken, no matter how loud the world around you became.

𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍
he can be soso rough with you sometimes. he doesn’t mean to be, he just absolutely loses all sense of control once he finally sinks into your tight pussy :( especially when he’s had a particularly shit day at work, just counting down the hours until he gets home and is able to finally lose all his worries in the comfort of your cunt. loves making a pretty mess out of you, until you’re completely drunk on his cock and babbling nonsense. but tonight he could feel you struggling to keep up with his eager pace, eyes threatening to flutter shut and slumping in his lap, strong arms keeping you upright against his chest as his hips keep a steady pace fucking up into you. he feels bad as he continues on abusing your cunt, but he can’t help it when you’re fluttering around him and clamping down like a vice, he just wants to cum so bad. starts to slow his thrusts down when he feels you grind lazily down onto him, desperate for some kind of release yet too tired to do anything about it yourself. he’ll take your face in his hands, smiling soso softly it would nearly make you sick if you could manage to keep your eyes open. “pretty baby, did i tire you out?” and when you could only respond with a sleepy nod before burying your face in the crook of his neck he’ll lay you down, spreading your thighs open a little more and your body responds so easily to him in your fucked out state, he finds it cute. lets you tiredly wrap your arms around his broad shoulders, keeping him close to your chest as he sloppily fucks you to sleep.
“shh baby, just let me take care of you.”
𝐋𝐄𝐄 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐇𝐎
deep down he knew he was being selfish, he could see how tired you were after the celebratory dinner he dragged you to with the rest of the boys. but you just looked so pretty all dolled up in your silky dress, and he couldn’t tear his eyes away from the subtle expanse of your smooth leg peeking out from the slit of fabric, inching up towards your hips. and god your lips. so glossy and kissable and just begging to be wrapped around his stiffening cock. he has you on your knees as soon as you get home despite your sleepy protests, head leaned back against the sofa and shirt unbuttoned as you smothered and worshiped his dick. and he’s so close it’s almost painful - your slow, lazy licks teetering him on the edge of orgasm before ripping it away from him at the last second. he’s so pissed whenever he can’t cum and he has to do everything in his willpower to restrain himself from forcing your head down and putting your mouth to good use, fucking it like it should be fucked. and he just feels so heavy on your tongue, his deep groans shooting right to your core. tries to have take some pity on you though and gently coaxes you to relax your jaw, pretty praises falling from his lips and giving you the last burst of energy you need to get him off until the salty taste of his cum is invading your tongue, slipping easily out of your mouth and softening against his thigh. he’ll defiantly repay you too, waking you up the next morning with his hot mouth on your cunt, lapping and sucking and kissing your soaked nub until you finally stir awake, pulling away to rest his cheek against your thigh and look up at you through tired eyes.
“just relax baby, let me make you feel as good as you make me feel.”
𝐒𝐄𝐎 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐍
changbin knows how busy you are, your schedule rivalling his on a normal day, so by the time you get home from work the only thing you can make time for is lazy makeouts in his office or rushed fucking in the shower before bed. the first day you both have off together in weeks is spent with him buried to the hilt inside of you, fucking you in every room and surface until you’re a sticky, pretty mess beneath him. and he just has you so worn out and it isn’t even mid afternoon yet, you just don’t understand how he still has the energy to wreck your cunt again and again the way he has been doing for hours on end. he’ll have you practically folded in half, legs bent and pressed tightly against your chest as he pounds into you - the sounds of his cock filling your cunt with another load of warm cum being the only thing you could focus on and stop your weary eyes from closing. he picks up straight away when you start to slip away from him, barely able to keep up as soft gasps leave your lips and eyes flutter close, slowing his pace to a stop, his cock stilling deeply into you. he’s soso enamoured by you, and it shows in the way he smiles softly at your worn out form, tucking a strand of messy hair behind your ear and letting your legs rest from their bent position. shushes your pained sigh as he slowly slips out of you, leaving your pussy feeling empty and cold before he’s pressing his chest against your back, spooning you close to his body then nudging his swollen tip back into you. and he loves the whine you let out when he buries himself balls deep inside of you again, your mind so fogged and clouded it hardly takes you a minute before you’re fast asleep - kept warm and filled to the brim with his dick as he coaxes you to sleep.
“let’s just stay like this, sleep well angel.”
𝐇𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐘𝐔𝐍𝐉𝐈𝐍
he knows how hard you work and absolutely loves loves loves taking care of you!! coaxes you into his arms when you get home, stripping you from your shoddy work clothes and slipping you into a bath, letting you yap his ears off about your frustrations while he works on massaging shampoo into your hair. lays you down on the soft comforter of your bed after, fingers lazily pumping into your pussy. works your mouth open with his own, tongue making its way past your lips as you whine and gasp into the kiss - hips sloppily grinding down to meet the press of his long digits curling deep inside of you. loves how easily he’s able to get you off in this state, his name falling from your lips so prettily and your eyes staring up at him like he’s your whole world and more - and it’s almost enough to ignore the painful squeeze of his cock left unattended, but he still can’t help but to rut his hips down onto the mattress, desperate for any type of friction :( stretches you open real good and nice on his fingers until he’s kissing messily down your tummy before he reaches your slit, tongue hungrily replacing his digits to leave fat licks against your nub. and he’s just absolutely obsessed with the way you look in his hold, fucked out and messy and all for him. your little pleas of, “hyun, please i’m so tired. can’t take anymore,” yet your hips continuing to grind against his face like a bitch in heat and he finds it so incredibly cute. swears he’ll take such good care of you, just stay awake a little while longer.
“you’re so pretty baby, gonna let me make you cum?”
𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝐉𝐈𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐆
he so eager and energetic during sex that it’s hard for you to keep up sometimes. he could go for hours, so drunk on your pussy that time just seems to cease to exist, fucking into you until it was nothing but a creamy mess of spit and cum. he’ll do his absolute best to keep you awake when he notices your lids twitching to shut - pressing his cock into you at just the right angle, fingers reaching down to play with your sensitive and raw nub, nails deliberately digging into the plush skin of your thighs to keep you from slipping away from him. so needy with it, he just loves watching your eyes shoot open in surprise when he acts out like this. but he becomes insanely pathetic when he feels you start to slump in his hold, hips picking up an erratic, rushed pace as he desperately tries to chase his high. roughly pulls your hips up until your ass is perched high in the air for him, head shoved into the pillow to muffle your gasps from his sudden greediness. “please baby, give me one more and i’ll leave you alone.” begs and sobs and pleads falling from his lips in messy whines, tears threatening to slip from his eyes when he feels your pussy close in around him, the promise of finally cumming is right there and he couldn’t just let you fall asleep now, he’s so close 🥺 it wouldn’t be fair!! and he can’t stop the selfish thoughts from taking over, he’s been so good to you all day, the least you could do is let him play with you until he’s spent and painted your cute cunt in his seed. sometimes, he’ll continue fucking into you when he sees you’ve actually fallen asleep on him, your soft sighs and fluttering cunt edging him closer and closer until he’s filling you up with warm load after load. and he can only look away bashfully when you wake up all sticky and used the next day.
𝐋𝐄𝐄 𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐗
he’s such an angel truly 🥺 making sure you’re well looked after is enough to get him off. hates when you come home all stressed and tired, a worried furrow between your brows and pretty face slacked with sleep. gently coaxes you to lay with him, taking his time to love on your body - your tits, tummy, thighs, just everywhere!! they’ll all be marked with his lips. and he almost has you dozing off with his soft touches before the warm press of his tongue against your pussy has you letting out a choked gasp, hands threading themselves through his long hair to push his face further into your core, nose bumping against your nub in the most pleasing delicious way. but even with the mind numbingly hot swipes of his tongue against your hole, and the deep groans he lets rumble against your slit, you still manage to slip away, eyelashes fluttering against your cheek as sleep becomes more and more appealing from being surrounded by his comforting presence. his languid strokes of tongue actually spiralling you further into slumber. and he can’t help but smile lovingly against you when he catches sight of your peaceful form, sleepy apologies tumbling past your lips as your fingers lose their grip on his lock, hips twitching slightly when he give you one last messy kiss against your cunt before settling beside you. such a giver that he’ll easily ignore the swell of his dick, he’d fuck you asleep over and over again as long as it keeps his baby happy.
“let me make you feel better honey.”
𝐊𝐈𝐌 𝐒𝐄𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐌𝐈𝐍
you just couldn’t sleep. all you needed was a bit of comfort, some soft fucking to urge you to slumber but he’s always so pent up and frustrated after work, eager to bully his problems away on your pussy. and you couldn’t find it in yourself to deny him, letting him play with you until you were a cock drunk mess beneath him. he’s always so mean with it though :( his dick was practically kissing your womb, legs aching from where they were rested on his broad shoulders and gasped whines leaving you when he nudges his cock past your folds - your headboard threatening to give out with every rough grind of his hips. you couldn’t even find the energy to meet his greedy thrusts, pussy twitching lazily around him and head lolling to the side when sleep threatened to take over, but the swell of his cock filling you up was sure doing a good job keeping you awake. and he almost felt offended when he spotted your lids slipping shut - stilling to the hilt deep inside you and just begging to finally paint your plush walls with cum - mouth opening to shoot you a sarcastic quip like the meany he is. before he notices the small bags sunken under your eyes and the worried crease of your brow, and he just can’t help but to cut you some slack. settles his body on top of you and softly shushes the pretty whine you let out when his dick rocks deeper inside you with the sudden movement, so desperately wanting to fuck you until he finally empties his load but he’ll let you rest for now. keeps himself buried in your warm pussy all night, kissing the shell of your ear as you quickly fall into a deep slumber. you bet your ass he’s gonna make you pay for falling asleep on him though.
“it’s okay baby, just gonna rest here. you’re gonna have to make this up to me tomorrow though.”
𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐉𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐈𝐍
this boy has such a high sex drive, genuinely thinks he’ll never get tired of the feeling of your warm cunt fluttering so nicely around him. it drives him mad. wants to spend every waking moment buried to the hilt inside of you, to the point where you’ll have to tell him to back tf off 😭 he’s so nice and gentle with you when you’re tired though, never pressuring you to do anything you’re not up to and letting you use him until you fall asleep, ignoring the painful swell of his fat dick resting against his thigh with every soft whine and gasp you let out. just likes having you sat pretty on his lap, dry humping like a bunch of honey teenagers but he fucking thrives on it. his hands will be guiding your hips to help you rut down on his bare cock, every slide causing the tip to bump into your nub. and he has to hold everything inside him back to not just lube himself up with your wetness and force his way into your tempting cunt. no, that’s not what you need right now. what you need is for him to be a good boy and let you rut down onto him like the needy girl you are until you finally stain his thighs with your slick. the tired look on your face is enough to make him melt, kissing your cheeks softly and muttering sweet praises between every glide of his hard cock. just lets you grind sloppily against him, gushing with wetness and all your frustrations slipping away as you nudge yourself closer to orgasm before your hold on his shoulders tighten, your nails raking down his back when you finally soak his cock in your juices, a relieved sigh leaving those pretty lips of yours before you’re sinking in his hold. coaxed into a deep sleep with his dick laid bumped against you, still red and swollen with need but he can’t find it in himself to care when you look all cute cuddled up against his chest.
“that’s it sweetheart, let it all out.”

Friendly Fire: Stray Kids' reactions to accidently causing their S/O a minor injury
Bang Chan
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chris gasped, immediately reaching out to steady you. "Oh my god—babe! Are you okay?" His eyes were wide with panic as he carefully looked you over. When he noticed you rubbing your arm, his expression twisted with guilt.
"I wasn’t looking—I just—ugh, I’m so stupid," he groaned, ruffling his hair in frustration. Then his gaze dropped to your arm, and he let out a dramatic sigh. "You’re gonna bruise, aren’t you? I literally just hurt my own girlfriend – what kind of boyfriend does that?"
You tried to reassure him, chuckling softly. "Chris, it’s fine. It was an accident."
But Chris, still looking at your arm, was clearly having trouble letting it go. He stepped closer, lowering his gaze with a mixture of guilt and curiosity. "No, seriously. Let me see it," he said softly, his voice suddenly tinged with concern. He gently cupped your arm and lifted it so he could inspect the spot where the small bruise was starting to form. "It looks... pretty bad, huh?"
You gave him a small smile. "It’s not that bad, really."
Over the next few days, Chris becomes obsessed with checking on the bruise. Every time you roll up your sleeves or he catches sight of it, his face immediately drops. His expression fades into one of pure regret, his brows furrowing as if he just got reminded of the worst thing he’s ever done.
"Ah... it’s still there," he mumbles, almost to himself, his lips pressing into a guilty pout.
"It’s fine, Chris," you reassure him, but he just shakes his head dramatically.
"Fine? Fine?! Look at it!" He gently takes your arm. "It’s so dark—I knew it was going to bruise badly. I swear, I have to be more careful with you…"
He sighs deeply, rubbing his face with his hands before looking at you with the saddest puppy eyes making sure he's the gentlest with you from then on.
Lee Know
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were reaching for a spoon just as Lee Know went to shut the drawer. Before either of you could react, the drawer shut on your fingers. A sharp gasp escaped your lips as you quickly pulled your hand away, wincing at the sting.
Lee Know’s eyes widened in immediate shock. "Yah!" His voice was sharp, but his hands were quick, grabbing your wrist to inspect the damage. "Why would you put your hand in when I was closing it?" His brows furrowed in a mix of frustration and concern.
You pouted slightly. "I didn’t think you’d close it that fast…"
He let out a sigh, shaking his head before pulling you towards a chair. "Sit. Now." His tone was firm. He quickly went to get an ice pack, muttering to himself about how reckless you were.
Returning, he carefully pressed the cold pack against your fingers. His eyes flickered up to meet yours, softer now. "Does it hurt a lot?" he asked, his voice quieter.
You shook your head. "Not too bad."
He clicked his tongue, still frowning. "Be careful next time."
After a few minutes, you tried to get up to help him again, but before you could even take a step, Lee Know placed his hands on your shoulders and firmly pushed you back down. "Nope. You’re staying there," he said, not even looking at you as he went back to what he was doing.
"But I can still—"
"No, you can’t," he cut you off. "Do I have to tape you to the chair?”
By the time he was finished, he walked over to where you were sitting and, instead of saying anything, leaned down and rested his head on your shoulder from behind.
A sigh escaped him as he relaxed against you. "You always do this," he murmured. "Getting hurt, then making me feel bad, and then acting like nothing happened."
Changbin
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Changbin had always been careful with you. Always mindful of his strength, always gentle with his touches. But today, he was distracted.
You had just walked into the room, planning to give him a back hug. He was standing by the counter, completely focused on his phone.
Just as you stepped closer, he suddenly turned, his elbow swinging and catching you on the forehead.
The impact sent a sting through your skin, and your hand flying up to the spot instinctively.
His eyes widened in horror.
“Oh my God.” His voice was already laced with panic. “No, no, no—baby, I didn’t see you!”
You winced but tried to shake it off, offering a small smile. “Ouch. I didn’t know elbows were part of your workout routine.”
But he didn’t laugh. His lips pressed into a thin line as if he was trying to hold back how upset he was.
He gently reached up, fingers brushing over the spot he had hit. His touch was featherlight, hesitant, but you still winced slightly at the pressure. The way his jaw clenched told you he noticed.
“Does it hurt?” His voice was barely above a whisper, guilt thick.
“It’s okay, Binnie,” you reassured, placing your hand over his. “I shouldn’t have sneaked up on you.”
He exhaled sharply, shaking his head. Then quickly opened the freezer to grab a small ice pack, wrapping it in a paper towel before hurrying back to you.
“Here, hold this.” He gently placed the cool pack against your forehead himself, making sure it wasn’t too cold against your skin. “It might not swell, but just in case.”
Your heart melted at the way he was looking at you – soft, regretful, completely focused on taking care of you. He sighed, leaning in to press a soft kiss to your temple – careful, apologetic. “I still feel awful.”
“Don’t, but… can I still get the hug I originally wanted?”
Hyunjin
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hyunjin playfully snatched the paper from your hands, grinning as he held it just out of your reach. “Hey, let me see that—”
But before he could finish his sentence, the edge of the paper scraped against your finger.
You flinched, a sharp sting shooting through your skin. “Ow—”
Hyunjin’s smile vanished in an instant. His eyes widened in pure horror as he dropped the paper like it was on fire. “Oh my god—Y/N! Are you okay? Did I just—? No way, tell me I didn’t—”
You looked down at the tiny red line forming on your fingertip, letting out a small sigh. “It’s just a paper cut, Hyunjin. I’ll be fine.”
But he wasn’t convinced. He gently took your hand in his, holding it like it was the most fragile thing in the world. “Oh my god, I hurt you,” he mumbled, guilt heavy in his voice. “I didn’t mean to—”
Without another word, he scrambled to grab a small first aid kit from the nearby table. “Give me your hand,” he muttered under his breath as he carefully placed it over your finger.
Once it was securely in place, he brought your hand to his lips and pressed a soft, lingering kiss over the bandaid. His warm eyes met yours, filled with so much sincerity it made your heart flutter. “That should help it heal faster,” he said softly.
You bit back a smile, warmth spreading through your chest. Unable to resist his adorableness, you playfully shook your head.
Han
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Han had only meant to play around, nudging you lightly with his shoulder as you walked side by side. But he didn’t realize you weren’t standing all that stable – and before either of you could react, you stumbled, losing your balance completely and landing on the ground with a small thud.
The moment you hit the floor, Han’s playful smile vanishes. His eyes go wide with panic, and he’s crouching beside you in an instant.
“Oh my god—wait, are you okay?!” His hands hover uncertainly, torn between helping you up and checking for injuries. Then, when he sees the glint of unshed tears in your eyes, his heart clenches painfully.
“I—wait—did I actually hurt you?” His voice is laced with pure guilt. “I swear, I didn’t mean—ugh, I’m so sorry.”
You shake your head quickly, blinking away the tears before they can fall. “No, no, it’s fine. It didn’t even hurt that bad.” You sniffle, willing yourself to push past the sting of the fall. But Han clearly doesn’t buy it.
“You’re crying,” he points out, lips pressing into a worried pout. “Where does it hurt? Do you need ice? A bandage? I can carry you—should I carry you?” His panic is growing by the second, now making tears of his own form on the waterline of his eyes.
His dramatics finally crack a smile out of you, and you nudge his arm lightly. “Hey, I said I’m fine.”
He blinks, then exhales in visible relief. “Oh, thank god. You scared me, you know?”
He lets out a small whine before nuzzling his head against your shoulder, his way of silently apologizing. You huff a soft laugh and ruffle his hair affectionately. “Next time, tell me if you’re about to fall over so I can not be an idiot,” he mumbles, his voice slightly muffled against your sleeve.
Felix
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Felix had been playfully pulling you along, his warm hand wrapped tightly around yours as he led you through the bustling streets. His deep, honey-like laughter rang in your ears as he turned back to flash you one of his signature sunshine smiles.
"Come on, love! Keep up!" he teased, eyes twinkling with mischief.
But in his excitement, Felix didn’t realize how fast he was going. As he quickly tugged you around a sharp corner, you barely had time to register what was happening before your shoulder slammed into the hard wall.
The impact made you stumble, a small yelp escaping your lips. Immediately, Felix froze, his grip on your hand tightening before he spun around to face you, panic overtaking his features.
“Baby!” His hands were on you in an instant, gently cupping your face, eyes darting frantically from your expression to the point of impact. “Are you okay? I swear I didn’t mean to—ahh, why am I so stupid?” He groaned, eyebrows knitting together as he carefully examined you.
You laughed lightly, rubbing your sore shoulder. “I’m fine, Lix. It’s just a little bump.”
But he wasn’t having any of it. “Nope. Not fine. I just threw my love against a wall.” He pouted, his lips forming a deep frown, the corners of his mouth trembling slightly.
You squeezed his hand reassuringly, offering him a warm smile. “Lix, really, it’s okay. I know you’d never hurt me on purpose.” You gave his fingers a playful squeeze. “Just maybe don’t go full-speed next time?”
Felix sighed, but then his expression softened. This time, his grip was gentler – fingers lacing through yours with careful intently. “Let me make it up to you,” he murmured, pressing a tender kiss to your knuckles before guiding you forward at a slower, more considerate pace.
Seungmin
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seungmin’s laughter faded the second the coffee cup tipped, the warm liquid splashing onto your hand.
“Ah—!” You flinched, quickly pulling your hand away as a sharp warmth spread across your skin. It wasn’t excruciating, but it still stung.
His eyes widened in horror as you hissed in pain, quickly pulling away to rush to the sink.
“Oh my God—Y/N—” His voice was sharper than usual, edged with panic as he followed you. He hovered beside you while you let the cold water run over the burn, his hands balled into fists like he didn’t know what to do with them.
“I’m fine,” you assured him, even though the skin was still an angry shade of red. You could already see the guilt settling into his features, his jaw tightening.
“No, you’re not,” he muttered, then exhaled sharply. “Come on, let’s go get it checked.”
You turned off the faucet and shook your head. “Seungmin, it’s just a little red. It’s not even blistering. You’re just—.”
He didn’t let you finish, gently nudging your shoulder. “Still. What if it gets worse later? What if it’s worse than it looks?” His brows furrowed, frustration laced in his concern. “Just—please, let me take you.”
You sighed, but the way he looked at you – so genuinely upset – made it impossible to refuse.
“Fine.”
Seungmin didn’t waste another second, grabbing his keys and leading you out, his hand hovering near yours like he wanted to hold it but was too afraid of hurting you again.

I.N and you were playfully messing around, laughing as you teased each other. He reached out to lightly nudge you, but he miscalculated his strength. You stumbled forward, losing your balance and falling onto the pavement with a surprised yelp.
The moment your knee made contact with the rough ground, a small sting made you wince, though thankfully, it was just a light scrape – no blood, just a little redness.
I.N's eyes widened in sheer panic. “Oh my god—are you okay?!” He practically flung himself down beside you, hovering over you with frantic hands, unsure whether to help you up or check your knee first. “I— I didn’t mean to— I swear! Oh no, are you hurt?” His words tumbled out quickly.
He spotted the small scrape on your knee, and his face fell, guilt washing over him instantly. “Ahhh, I’m so sorry! I was just playing, I didn’t think—” He stopped himself, shaking his head before carefully reaching for your hand. “Here, let me help you up.”
Even as you reassured him that it was just a small scrape, he wouldn’t let it go. He dusted you off gently, his brows furrowed in worry.
Then, suddenly, he perked up as if struck with an idea. “Wait! I’ll give you a piggyback ride,” he announced, turning around and crouching slightly.
You couldn’t help but giggle at how serious he was about it. With a small sigh, you climbed onto his back, wrapping your arms around his shoulders. He hoisted you up effortlessly, adjusting his grip under your thighs as he began walking.

When they call you clingy, so you distance yourself | Hyung Line Pt. 2
Warnings: Cursing
Pt1, Pt3 Maknaeline
(xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)
BANGCHAN|
Chris groaned and put his head into his hands. He stared at the the screen in front of him.
8:28
He had decided to make today an early morning so he could call it an early night, but he wasn't even able to work on what he had actually intended to do because a trainee's mistake. Although he was heated in the moment he had apologized when he had run into the frightened guy in the canteen. It was an honest mistake when laptops looked exactly the same.
He had also realized that he was heated in the moment when you had come to visit him.
His fingers itched to text you an apology but he knew this was something that he needed to apologize for in person. So he shut his laptop and tucked it into his bag and decided to head home rather than starting a new project.
It was eating at his consciousness, the way he brushed you off so easily earlier just because of stress that had nothing to do with you. He reached over the couch in his studio to flick off the light.
A soft ruffling of fabric startled him slightly and he looked down to see your black coat draped over the couch of the same color.
"Its freezing." He mumbled grabbing it and quickly heading out of the building.
I was such a dick. She was so distraught she walked home in this weather without a coat.
Chris drove over to your apartment and parked haphazardly on the street. It wasn't the safest neighborhood, and a small part of him was worried about having something happen to his car, but he couldn't focus on that when he needed to focus on fixing things with you.
He pulled out his keys and found the small silver spare to your apartment.
"Baby?" Chris called out. He slipped off his shoes and he walked from the foyer into your kitchen, his black socks slipping a little on your freshly swept floors.
"Y/N?" Chris called out, flipping the light on in the kitchen. The box of trash bags was sitting on the counter and he placed them back under the sink. "Baby?"
Something was off. Chris felt it in his bones. He tried to steady his heart. Maybe you were asleep? If it wasn't to him, you tended to turn to your bed for comfort when you were sad.
He reached for your door handle out of habit of strolling into the guys room but paused to knock.
"Love?" He called out. He knocked for another minute or two, before turning the handle softly in case you were sleeping. "Baby, I don't know if your asleep but I'm coming in okay?"
Your room was empty, and the fairy lights you always kept on were off.
He flipped on the light and he felt his heart sink to his feet.
He immediately rushed out of your room and started looking through the cabinets and drawers and nooks and crannys of every other space.
Your apartment was bare minus the essentials.
In your guest room you had boxes neatly stacked in various places.
Chris felt tears crawl at his throat.
"Baby?" He tried calling out again. "Y/N this isn't funny! Say something!" He cried out.
He fumbled to grab his phone from his pocket.
His fingers shook as he called you.
The number you have dialed cannot be reached.
"No," He mumbled.
The number you have dialed cannot be reached.
The number you have dialed cannot be reached.
"No," Chris mumbled. "No," He said again.
He felt his heart jump through his throat and he couldn't breathe.
His hands were shaking as he dialed up another number.
"Oi, Chris you coming home soon-"
"Fe-Felix." He choked out. He couldn't even continue without hyperventilating. "Fe-Felix I-I can't breathe. I-I can't-"
"I'm coming to you alright? I have your location I'll be there okay? Okay just try and calm down okay? I'll be there soon." Chris could hear the jingling of keys and the slamming of the door and Minho's voice in the background as Felix panted running to the car. "Stay on the phone Channie-hyung okay, I'll be right there."
"I-I can't breathe." He cried out.
"It'll be okay, I'll be right there hyung." Felix slammed his fist down on his car horn and yelled a string of profanities as another car blared their horn in the distance as well.
By the time Felix had arrived at your house Chris was an absolute mess.
Felix was instantly able to tell what was wrong with Chan when he saw the boxes and Chan desperately trying to unpack them.
"Hey-hey Chris calm down." Felix said as he grabbed onto his hyung's shoulders.
"S-She's leaving me." He cried out. "Felix, she's leaving me. She can't leave me. My heart -my heart can't take it. I don't want-want her to leave m-me."
Felix didn't know what to do as he watched his best friend completely shatter in front of him.
"Hyung I'm sure she is-"
"I-I called her clingy. I told her to leave me alone. I don't want to be alone." He whimpered. "I didn't mean it Felix. I didn't m-mean it." He whimpered his voice cracking. "I-I was stressed and-and I yelled- I called her ob-obsess- Felix, she can't leave me. I don't want to be alone."
Felix pulled out his phone and dialed your number. "Hyung calm down I'm sure she's just angry at the moment, it'll blow over. It'll blow over." He repeated as if convincing himself as well. He chewed on the edge of his thumbnail as your phone rang. Chris was collapsed on his and Felix pet his hair.
The number you have dialed cannot be reached.
Felix looked at the broken man in front of him and swallowed.
"It'll be fine. Y/N wouldn't break up with you over something like that, right?"

MINHO|
"Do you really think it was necessary to yell at her?" Changbin asked as the guys were walking through the market. You had opted not to join and rather hang out with some of the girls from TWICE who were also in Paris for the same event the Kids had came for. The only problem was you had opted to do that for the entire week. You all were flying home tomorrow and Minho hadn't seen more than a glimpse of you other than a few pictures the girls had posted on their fake accounts, and the few pictures you had posted on your private account.
"Why would it not be necessary?" Minho asked.
"Because you're pissed at something that wasn't even her fault." The shorter male said and he picked up a random little trinket to look at, it was a little heavy so he used it as a makeshift dumbell for a second.
"Ya, she quite literally ruined my entire plan."
Changbin looked at Minho like he had grown a second head. "How the hell was she supposed to know you were trying to propose to her?!"
Minho pursed his lips and turned away and started walking.
Changbin moved his tiny legs to catch up with the cat eyed member.
Felix crossed paths with them and joined the conversation.
"Minho-Hyung you've been miserable all week. Just swallow your pride and apologize."
"I have nothing to apologize fo-"
"Ya! No offense Hyung but you're being a fucking idiot!" Felix said. The two Hyungs of Felix recoiled and looked at the sunshiny Aussie. "Sorry for my tone Hyung but it's true. All she wanted to do was spend time with you because she loves you. And to her it seems like you got upset because you didn't to spend time with you. And you got upset with her because you planned a super elaborate and flamboyant proposal because you love her and you weren't able to execute it. So basically, you are both pissed at each other because you love each other more than anything in this world. So tell me how that makes sense at all?"
Changbin nodded. "He's not wrong at all you're kind of an idiot."
Minho sighed and pouted.
"Which means you need to be the one to apologize because Y/N-ie actually has reason to be mad."
Minho's pout became even more noticeable.
Ugh...apologizing.
Felix seemed to read his elder's mind.
"Its either apologize or ruin your relationship. While it is super easy to replan a propsal, it sure as hell won't be able to replan your future if she walks out on you."
Minho felt that hit his heart hard, but still wanted to be stubborn. "What do you mean easy to replan a proposal? I spent months planning the one I intended to do."
Changbin rolled his eyes. "Ya! Y/N might be your girlfriend but you seem to forget she was all of our friend first. And I sure as hell know she would not care how you proposed to her. Even if you just did it the traditional and plain way of getting down on one knee and saying 'Y/N...will you marry me?" Changbin said mimicking Minho's voice.
Felix shook his head. "No it'd be more like 'Y/N marry me. You have no choice."
"No- 'Y/N, my cats need a mom. You are now their mom.'"
"'Y/N, our wedding is next Friday. Don't be late. Wear white." The happy boy mimicked with a deadpan face.
Changbin and Felix's antics were the thing that made Minho laugh all week. And the levity he felt now was what he felt with you always. And that made the absence of you hit him even harder.
"Can we go back to the hotel? I want- no I need to apologize." He said suddenly.
Changbin sputtered. "Never thought I'd hear that come out of your mouth ever."
Minho playfully shoved Changbin into Felix as they headed back in the direction of the hotel.
"So how do you think you'll propos-"
"Minho-ssi!" The guys stopped and they noticed Chaeyoung running towards them.
Minho felt his heart dip for a second. "What is it?"
"I-I went to get Y/N-ie for a girls night out but she wasn't in her room so I figured maybe she just stepped out to the convenience store with Tzuyu or Momo but she wasn't with them when they came back and Tzuyu said the last time she saw her was this morning after we had brunch." Chaeyoung tried to steady her voice. "And I called her but my calls aren't going throu-"
Minho didn't give Chaeyoung time to finish before he started running.
He didn't know where he was going, he didn't even really know where to find you.
All he knew is that he had to.

CHANGBIN|
"Y/N." Changbin said. "Jagiya!" You ignored Changbin as you walked into your apartment.
He followed ensuite and was pouting. "Jagiya please talk to me. It's been three weeks."
"Mmmm. Nah. I don't feel like being clingy today." You said as you set your purse down and headed towards your bedroom.
"C'mon please? It was a stupid argument. I'm sorry. I was just upset."
"Hmm. And I'm upset right now too." You said as you started digging through your closest. You pulled out a cute yet sleek dress.
The same dress you had worn on your first date with Changbin oh so long ago.
"Babe?" Changbin asked as he saw you rummage through things on your vanity.
"Red or Pink?" You asked allowed. "Or I guess the question is should I do a matte red or a glossy red?" You turned to Changbin and gave an innocent look at him. "I don't know which one makes me look better."
"Stop that! Thats not funny. At all." Changbin said as he followed you into the bathroom. He stayed planted in the same spot even as you changed, shutting his eyes respectfully until you finished changing.
"Where are you going? Why are you getting dressed up."
You pulled your hair out of the braided updo you had it in and let it fall over your shoulders in a beautiful mix of loose curls and evem looser waves.
Changbin couldn't help but admire just how beautiful you looked right now. Matter of fact you always looked beautiful, but Changbin couldn't help but stare. Since this was the longest he had seen you in the past three weeks.
And seeing you get ready and dolled up worried him. It sparked a jealousy in him that he found himself all too familiar with these past few weeks. It was partly the reason he had snapped at you in the first place.
He had thought it was just a stupid argument but right now it seemed like it was so much more than that.
And it was slowly killing him. Had he really hurt you that bad?
"Jagiya where are you going?"
You ignored Changbin as you touched up your makeup slightly, wiping off the clear gloss you had and favoring a glossy red lip instead. You grabbed your favorite perfume - and Changbin's favorite on you - and sprayed it delicately over yourself.
You looked at your watch and looked up at Changbin. "I have to go I'm meeting someone at five."
You grabbed your purse and Changbin grabbed your wrist.
"W-What do you mean you're meeting someone?" You snatched your wrist away from him gently and made your way towards your car.
"W-Wait Y/N it's not a date is it? You're not going on a date? Wait please tell me you aren't."
"Changbin I have to go. It would be a bad first impression if I was late."
"Can you please at least tell me where you are going?"
You huffed. "I'm going to that one coffee shop next to the karaoke bar? The one we always used to go to when you had first asked me out." You said as you were strapping on a pair of heels.
Changbin felt like his world was collapsing.
"No. We aren't breaking up you're not allowed to do that."
You looked at Changbin with a confused - what the fuck are you on - type look.
"Changbin you realize people have the free will to do whatever they want right? Thats like me telling you you're not allowed to go to the gym anymore."
"You're not breaking up with me Y/N." He said his voice starting to waver. "You can't."
"Yup, Bin." You said as you opened the door and walked to your car. "Lock the door behind you, would ya?" You called out over your shoulder.
The muscular man quickly locked your door and came to the drivers side.
"Y/N," He said tapping on your window.
"Changbin can you make this quick? Like I said being late is a bad first impression."
"Who cares about first impressions! Y/N you can't date someone else!" He cries. "It was an argument! Are you really breaking up with me over this-"
"Damn Changbin I'm no-" Your phones started to ring and you answered it.
Changbin pouted at you as you spoke. Trying his best to listen to the conversation.
"Hello..." Why'd she say hello like that? So nicely... "Yes, I'm on my way right now just leaving my house..." She's already on the stage of letting him know her whereabouts? "Haha no no of course not...yeah....haha!" What could he possibly be saying to make her laugh that much? Only I can make her laugh like that...well I guess Jisung too but mainly me! "Uh I'll just get an iced vanilla latte with all my modifications- just ask Jiwon she'll know...." They have mutuals? "Yeah I'll be there soon....Yep! Can't wait to meet you either...mkay bye!"
Changbin felt his heart constrict as he watched you hang up and start your car.
You gave Changbin a small wave and pulled off, your tires screeching a little as you drove.
He quickly went to follow you. You wouldn't leave him. He wouldn't let you. Because you meant the world to him.
And without his world he would be nothing.

HYUNJIN|
It had been a few days since Hyunjin had felt like he had spent time with you.
Because while you had been in his presence physically he felt like you had something on your mind.
You weren't all up on him like you usually were. And he missed that. He also missed you asking him if he liked your outfits. He missed the little twirl you would do asking if you looked okay; he missed being able to look at you lovingly while you did so; he missed being able to wait a little bit before he could comment how striking you looked; that little pause in time just to assure that he would be the one who could see you in that specific outfit longer than anyone else you would run into or hang out with, even if it was mere seconds more.
The way every part of you took up every aspect of his life was something he was so used to that he longed for it when he couldn't have it.
And for the past eleven days he longed for it.
So bad.
He missed you.
"Do you think I did something wrong?" Hyunjin asked Jisung as they sat down enjoying a cup of coffee together.
"I'm assuming so because she's treating me just fine. We actually just went to the movies the other day. Some random guy tried to hit on her and she made a comment about his hairline and how it showed his age and that shut him down real quick. It was actually fucking hilarious the way-"
"Did she say anything about me upsetting her?" Hyunjin asked, interuppting Jisung's tangent about his trip with the most loved girl of the band.
"Mm...now that I think about it, she made a comment about some other idol. I forget who she was talking about but I remembered her saying you were talking to them because she was just standing there waiting for you to finish and thats why she decided to drink that one drink. Because she didn't want to...how did she put it...look pathetic? Yeah, I think thats what she said. And she said it was no use because she looked pathetic throwing up all over Bangchan." He took a sip of his coffee. "I actually thought it was funny because Chan was saying he was trying to find an excuse to not have to wear that one suit jacket anymore because it was-"
"Jisung you're getting off topic." Hyunjin sighed. "Did she seem upset when she said that?"
Jisung shook his head. "I wouldn't say she seemed upset when she was talking about finding a use for her hands. I think she looked...off afterwards though. Especially whenever your name came up in ocnversation." He looked at Hyunjin pointedly. "But that wasn't that often. She may be your girlfriend but she is my soulmate so we have our own issues to discuss." He said taking another sip of his coffee. "Like all the drama in Hybe right now. Did you see- wait I'm getting off topic."
Hyunjin frowned. "So it was something I did..." He mumbled.
Jisung sniffed once. "Yeah probably." He said scratching his ear. "I can ask her if you'd like me to."
"No I thinks it okay, I'll find time to talk to her."
"Well they say there is no better time than the present because look who just walked in." The chubby cheeked boy nodded his head somewhere behind Hyunjin.
He turned around and saw you walking in with Felix. You walked up to the counter but didn't notice Hyunjin or Jisung sitting there.
Felix greeted the barista and ordered himself a drink while you looked at the menu.
Hyunjin felt the tiniest - the most miniscule pang of jealousy but it was quickly washed away because he knew that you only had eyes for him. You guys hadn't celebrated your first anniversary yet - it was in four days -but he knew just how much you loved him and he loved you.
And just that - he knew how in love you were with each other.
And thats why it hurt him so much to think he had hurt you.
Felix finished ordering and turned to you. Hyunjin had expected you to tell him your order and for Felix to relay it back to the barista but instead you spoke in Korean - hesitantly - but still with an immense amount of effort and obvious intermediate skill.
Felix corrected you on a couple of words, but after a few motivational words from the barista - words you obviously understood - you shined a bright smile and laughed.
"Y/N doesn't speak Korean." Hyunjin turned to Jisung, and the small quokka like boy pouted slightly. "Jisung."
"I walked in on Y/N-ie and Felix-" He blurted out. "God, I've been keeping that secret so long." He let out a breath and looked at Hyunjin's shocked face.
"Walked...in...?"
Jisung put a hand to his forehead. "Sorry I didn't finish my thought. I meant that I like...walked in on them while he was giving her secret korean lessons." He said wiggling his eyebrows.
"Jisung you're not helping my paranoia."
"I was wiggling my eyebrows because of the reason. She said she wanted to learn Korean so when it came time to meet your family she would be able to communicate well with them. It seems like she's actually pretty damn good at it too. Shes a fast learner according to Felix."
Hyunjin groaned. "She's so fucking cute but of all people in our groups she decided to get lessons from Lix? Did she never watch the survival show." He chuckled.
"Yeah...I guess that means I can tell you the actual reason she's upset with you now right?" Jisung said.
Hyunjin's head shot up and he looked at the younger boy expectantly.
"She overheard you calling her clingy. With the idol and his girlfriend..." He looked down and his voice dropped a little. "Its been eating at her a lot. Especially the girl's comment about foreigners and stuff. She was a total bitch for saying that because now it's been making her rethink everything. Because she seems to be convinced that it would be best for your reputation and your future if she ended things with you."
Hyunjin felt his throat constrict slightly. "S-she didn't mean that. She doesn't mean that. She can't."
Jisung hmmed in acknowledgment. "Hyung...she has it rough you know? The pedestal people in our industry put you on - and even in other industries and other countries -is the pedestal you're put on by the same people she consistently is surrounded by when accompanying you. The same people who write all those hateful comments about her on your posts and send even more hateful comments to her private account."
Hyunjin's eyes widened, and his fingers twitched slightly. "What comments? She hasn't told me about any...hate...comments..."
Jisung sighed. "She doesn't want to worry you. And I think she believes those comments too...she can't think of anything else to believe."
Hyunjin felt a knot place itself in his throat to stay as he walked you watch out the coffee shop with Felix trailing you. The thought of your insecurities bothered him immensely. The thought of you thinking you weren't worthy of him when it was the complete opposite; when it was him who wasn't worthy of you. He wished you could see yourself the way he saw you.
And he wished you believed him when he said all the things said.
Believe me when I call you beautiful. When I say I love you...
And if you don't want to in me...
Believe in us.

Skz meeting a pretty fan
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Ot8!skz × Gn!reader (individually)
Genre: fluff, just a tiny little bit of angst, headcanons
Description: their reaction to meeting a pretty fan during a fan meeting
Warnings: kind of love at first sight trope, delusional, some of them are dramatic, they are all idols, not proofread
A/n: the way it's been over a year that this has been in my drafts | daily click
Tumblr media
Bang Chan
He was kinda of tired already so he was zoning out
When he sees you he is like "...oh"
He is so invested in your conversation
If you comment about the production behind the music he will be so happy
Genuinely loves when someone acknowledges his work so his eyes will shine and he will smile so hard while explaining everything to you
He is upset when you need to move on to the next member
Sees you laughing with the other members and he's like 🤨
Wonders what they did that managed to make you laugh that much
Lee Know
He would stare at you
You know when his mouth is open and you can see his eyes shining?
Yeah, that's him right now
You say hello and he would give you his nervous laugh before looking at you again with those stary eyes
I swear he is such a softie
Would listen to every single word that you say, you can tell he is paying so much attention
Autographs something for you and makes a funny drawing as well hoping you'd laugh
Side eyes the staff when they say the time is up
Even when you move to the next member and other fan is talking to him, he would still look at your direction sometimes and get so flustered if you catch him looking at you
Changbin
Starts small talk right away
Will 100% compliment you
You ask him an autograph and he wonders how bad would it be if he gave you his number instead
Like he knows he cannot do that
But maybe if he was sneaky enough...
Doesn't do it by the end but he low-key regrets it for the rest of his life
He will wake up one day after five years and be like "damn I should've given them my number"
And he will make that everyone's problem
The boys can't stand it anymore because they've heard enough about you by now 😭
Convinces himself that he will see you again one day
Hyunjin
He sees you before you see him, so he is panicking
Is looking at the line all the time wondering if you will want to talk to him
Asks han if his hair looks good before it's your turn to talk to him
No but fr, he can't take his eyes off you
When you start talking he is like 😯
You look and sound like an angel, he must be in heaven
Even after the fan meeting he can't stop thinking about you
If he's feeling bold enough, he will definitely flirt with you
Low-key forgot he was an idol and was ready to risk it all for you
Han
Might believe in love at first sight after your meeting
Compliment him once and he will get so shy
Like sir, weren't you the one flirting like two seconds ago🤨
Would feel so betrayed if he isn't your bias LMAO
He has like a minute and a half to convince you he's the best stray kids member and he WILL try that
And he hopes that someone will record his flirty antics and post it on tiktok just so he can find your socials
He will make all the boys stalk the internet to try to find you
"but you can't contact them even if you find their account, so what's the point?" idk bro but he wants to see you again somehow
Felix
SUCH A FLIRT
The moment he looks at you he is already trying to win your heart
Kinda forgot he was an idol pt.2
Except he didn't forget
He just doesn't care
He wants to flirt with you and that's precisely what he will do
Will even flirt through his autograph if he can
Uses any kind of excuse to make physical contact with you ✨
And side eyes the staff when they tell him it's time to move on
Like no it's not??
Seungmin
Actually pretty good at hiding his new crush??
The most normal one out here surprisingly lol
He will be able to cover it up as just "good mood" but let's be for real
It's because of you
Anyways
Will smile so much
If you compliment his smile (please do!) he will get shy but so so happy
Also steals glances when you go to the next member
He'll be talking to the next fan but ends up laughing because of something he heard you say to another one of the boys
The fan is like ?? but Seungmin is able to play it off
I.N
So dedicated to give you a good impression
If you tell him your favourite skz song is one of his solos (or that your favourite has that title because of his vocals) this man is in heaven
Forgot he was an idol pt.3 except he didn't forget
He just lowkey very lowkey didn't want to be an idol in that exact moment
Had it been on any normal occasion he would probably try to charm you over
But this was his job
He couldn't possibly get delulu over a fan 😭 although he was already midway to that
Ends up covering a song you said you thought would fit his voice
Sees the comments of the cover wondering each one of those were yours

serpent hybrid hyunjin 🌱🐍🌱
hyunjin never acted like this. you had never seen him behave so much like a serpent. was he experiencing an unusual kind of heat? did snakes do that...well u just gotta find out
i love this concept so much ill scream-
reblogging > liking
-contains mature themes (two dicks and a split tongue ahhh)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
snake hybrids weren't exactly judged well in society. stereotypical beliefs calling them mean slithery liars who manipulate people.
they were just misjudged. misunderstood hybrids who needed affection too. maybe the energy exhuded made them look tough and deadly but deep down they were sweeter than even bunny hybrids.
thats why your boyfriend, hyunjin is always by your side.
theres nothing quite different about snake hybrids. except for the patches of scales on different parts of their body.
however some had no scales, instead just forked tongues. hyunjin was no exception. patient and mind numbingly soft at all times. snuggling into you every now and then.
thats why when you step into the house, you aren't expecting the strong whiff of a certain peculiar smell. its musky and fills the whole apartment.
you don't even know what you're smelling until you're embraced by him. his body warm, reeking of musk. intoxicating your senses.
"hyun-" you let out hurriedly, dropping your bag on the ground in shock. his face buried in your neck. hands running all over your body.
practically pushing you against the door, slipping his left hand between your legs while his right hand grabbed your backside. gasping at the way you seem to float off the ground. he's picking you up quicker than you can even process.
"what's going on? baby?" you say, trying to wriggle out of his firm hold. he's stronger than before and he continues holding you off the ground.
hyunjin hisses.
he fucking hisses.
and your eyes widen. thats only the second time he's ever hissed at you. once during an argument and right now. did that mean he was angry?
"heat." is all he says, huffing as he slams the bedroom door open. throwing you on the bed. not caring at the funny way, you bounced on the soft mattress.
"what do you mean? I thought snakes..don't get heats..."
you questioned. watching as he paced around the room, trying to control himself.
taking off his hoodie. arms out on display. shining with a thin layer of sweat. his hair soaked.
"fuck i don't know...i was washing our clothes and i got the smell of your shirt..."
he mumbles, and your eyes go down to where theres a prominent bulge in his pants. a wet patch staining the material.
"and its like my senses went wild. all I was thinking of was you. fucking you over and over again..." hyunjin slurs, his forked tongue peeking out.
"jinnie...your tongue"
you whisper. intrigued at how his tongue slipped past his lips every few seconds. he had never done that before.
"i can't control it-" he covers his mouth, gazing at you with needy eyes.
were his eyes always so sharp, you wondered.
"its okay baby, breathe" you reassure, opening your arms for him to come to you. and he does. resting his head on your shoulder, his weight pressing you down into the bed.
leaning into kiss him innocently when all of a sudden, his hands are on either side of your face, pulling you in for a needy kiss.
brain shutting off at the feeling of his forked tongue licking into your mouth. forcing you to be submissive because you knew you wouldn't win this battle.
.
🌱
.
"j-jinnie" squirming under him.
his hands pinning your lower half down. head buried between your legs. your toes curling everytime he maneuvered his tongue to simultaneously flick at your sensitive clit and slip between your swollen lips.
"shhh"
u don't know if he's shushing you or hissing at you.
because the next thing you feel is his fork like tongue pushing all over your folds. fingers digging into your hips with strength that had your cunt throbbing.
whining at the loss as he lifts his head up. teasingly using the tips of his wet muscle to prod at your bundle of nerves. face contorting in pleasure at your taste. breath heavy on your warmth.
"breed." he blurts out, surprising himself. your mouth opening in shock when his nails dig into your waist.
his nails had grown longer, into claws and the once hardly noticeable scales on his forearms became visible. gradient shade of black and grey.
"hyun! h-hyunjin, baby b-bab-"
writhing higher into the mattress as he pushed your legs further apart.
nestling his split tongue over your swollen pussy. teasingly managing to place your clit in the Y of his wet muscle.
had his tongue grown longer because you could feel him so deep...
.
.
"h-hyun?" you whisper, gripping his arm to relax your body for him. scales textured and rough under your calloused palm.
"m'right here, baby" hyunjin cooes. placing a hand flat on your lower stomach. eyes fixed on where he was prepping you.
with both his dicks. rubbing the tip over your folds while the other pressed into your entrance. leaking more and more slick that mixed with your own arousal.
"almost in, my love" nudging the first one in with extreme care. your fingers grasping at him. his jaw hanging open as he pushed in, groaning when he slid halfway in.
spreading your thighs so he could start to push his second dick in. the sensation and stretch making you cry in a mix of pain and pleasure.
snake hybrids had two features that only a person who they were close to, would find out about. a forked long tongue means their dicks are the same as well.
hyunjin was not particularly big. actually he was slightly above average considering snake hybrids had longer lengths and lesser girths.
hyunjin had thicker girths and the length of both his dicks were just perfect. neither too big nor too small.
but right now, he felt bigger.
he felt longer. he felt hot.
thats why when he pushes both of them past your entrance, you let out a muffled scream. eyes rolling back at the fullness. quite literally stuffed like this, for the first time.
"f-fuck gonna take me all in"
lowering himself to look down at you. his arms on either side of your head. placing his larger hands on your face. lips brushing against your open mouth.
"thats my precious girl~" and your pussy spasms around him.
getting him soaked because the way the word 'precious' rolled off his tongue, could make you cum on the spot. rolling his s's and a few other alphabets in a serpent like way. something he'd usually never do.
a firm thrust that has your hands flying up to hold onto him. clawing at his back while he buried himself deeper into your cunt. stretching you out with every rough movement.
the scales on his back were larger and travelled down his spine. groaning as you scratched down his back, hard enough to leave red imprints.
"gonna take my cum like a good mate, yes~" hyunjin hisses, watching you so closely. letting his tongue run over your front teeth, all the way down to your bottom lip.
you nod at his statement. wrapping your legs around his waist. pulling him closer. not caring if his patterns of uneven scales scratched you here and there.
plush lips kissing you with such intensity. his nose pressing into your cheek. pushing you deeper into the pillow. trailing a hand down to where your chest touched his. grabbing a handful of flesh and squeezing hard enough to make you arch your back.
taking the opportunity to thrust in deeper. your bottom half nearly lifted off the bed with his strength.
pads of his fingers pinching and pulling at your sensitive nubs. hooking your leg higher so he could change the angle. filling you up with warmth. it makes your eyes struggle to stay open.
this was nowhere near over...

thought his eyes were deceiving him; surely you would wear underwear with a skirt that short. he didn't say anything until you slid into the booth and he could see your ass poking from under the skirt , he slid right in making sure no one saw you. “what the fuck?” he sat down next to your. “where are your fucking panties babygirl?” he gritted through his teeth , just as the waiter was about to make his way over to your table. “i didn't wear any.” he could see that , what he couldn't figure is why the fuck were you trying to turn him on in this restaurant right now. “you're we already paid for the reservations.” he said , kissing your temples because the server was close. “what can I do for you guys?” he waited for the boy to leave before turning back to you.
“daddy is gonna ruin you when we get home , trust baby.”
﹙ 𐙚 : lee know ﹚ .ᐟ
he knew you were up to something , the fact that you were a little too excited to get out of the car and into the restaurant. “you must be really hungry huh?” you didn't say anything though , but that glint in your eye and that smirk he swore he saw made him curious. “what are you up to?” he said. “nothing” you smiled “innocently” and he damn sure wasn't buying it. “i have to go to the bathroom.” you got up leaving the boy alone , not even 2 moments later his phone buzzed , he picked it up , your plans becoming evident. “i fucking knew it.” he cursed. you sat back down to a seething lee know. “fucking slut you aren't wearing any underwear.” you giggled , knowing he wouldn't do anything in public , but you knew you were also done for after the date , he leaned over so you could only hear him.
“let's see if you find it later when your pussy is battered from cock and you still haven't came.”
﹙ 𐙚 : changbin ﹚ .ᐟ
you knew changbin couldn't resist praising you. “binnie , binnie look at my new shoes.” he genuinely wanted to see the shoes , looking under the table , only to be met with your legs widened. his head shot up looking at you with wide eyes. “b-baby.” he was flustered , it made you giggle. “where are your panties?” he whispered , you shrugged. “didn't feel like wearing any.” he was bewildered honestly , turned on but bewildered , he didn't even give a fuck about those shoes anymore not the food. “give me a minute , gonna pay the bill.” he stood up. “wait what about the food?”
“I'll ask them to wrap it up to go , no way im gonna sit through dinner knowing how wet you are sitting across from me.”
﹙ 𐙚 : hyunjin ﹚ .ᐟ
you knew your man loved to take pictures of you during your dates , so it was perfect. you waited for him to get up from the seat to “use the bathroom” you knew he was just going to pay the bill so you wouldn't try and pay , but you let it be — quickly slipping into his seat , taking your panties off , looking around before slipping them into his jacket pocket. you smiled as you slipped back into your seat as he came back down. “how was the bathroom?” he smiled , knowing he was caught. “let me take a few photos baby.” he reached into his jacket , furrowing his eyebrows as he pulled out the lacy material. he smiled, shoving the panties back into his jacket. “you little minx.” you giggled. “my favorite pair too.”
“we should skip dessert so we can get home and i can take some photos of you laid out in bed all pretty for me.”
﹙ 𐙚 : han jisung ﹚ .ᐟ
you purposely dropped the fork on to the floor, and the poor boy just trying to be a good boyfriend crawled under the table to get it for you — only to be met with your legs wide open , your bare pussy on display. a small “fuck” leaving his mouth making you smirk as he came back from under the table , his face red as he sat the fork down. “yo-you're not wearing any panties.” he whispered , his hands coming up to his cock , fixing himself. “wh-why.” he whined , upset because he was unable to do anything because you had already denied his request to leave. “i want dessert , don't be selfish sungie.”
“why would you show me if you were just gonna torture me like this baby , im gonna cum just sitting here thinking about it.”
﹙ 𐙚 : felix﹚ .ᐟ
“i think i left my lipstick in the car.” know felix kept a spare always in his pocket for you. “don't worry baby i go it.” he reached into his jacket pocket next to him. “what is this?” he innocently took out the lace , eyes widened as he shoved it back inside. “baby when did you do that?” he said , he was sure you were wearing them when you left the house , he was in the room when you were getting dressed. “i took the off when you went to pay the bill.” he gulped adams apple bobbing. “baby fuck it's hard enough to see you dressed so pretty for me , but knowing you're pussy is probably dripping on to the seat is painful love.”
“let's skip dessert tonight , i got something else sweet i want to eat and i don't think i can wait until we get home.”
﹙ 𐙚 : seungmin ﹚ .ᐟ
you knew it would piss him off — that's why it was perfect to do it to him. your heart was racing as you hit send on your phone , your legs shaking as you watched him pick up his phone to read the message , his eye lifting up to yours , filled with a lust filled angry glare. he didn't say anything , lifting up the table cloth looking under , quietly coming up. “can't take a mutt like you anywhere can i?” he growled , you were dripping for him. “i want to go home.” you whined , needing him. “no , you're gonna sit there until the date is over.” he said , you rolled your eyes. “don't think because we're in public i won't embarrass you , i'll make you kneel right here.” you immediately stopped unsure if he was serious, but you weren't about to test that theory.
“act like a bad dog and i’ll treat you like one , let's see how funny you think this stunt is later.”
﹙ 𐙚 : jeongin ﹚ .ᐟ
was he already looking at your ass? yes , yes he was — but that was besides the point , he could easily tell you were missing your panties through the dress. “sit the fuck down.” he hissed , you pretended to be confused , tilting your head in fake innocence. “are you fucking joking?” he growled , leaning over the table. “you aren't wearing any fucking panties.” he wanted to wipe that smile clean off your face. “didn't want panty lines.” you shrugged him off. “waitress is coming.” he could care less about the waitress. “then you wear a thong or something , i don't know.” but you wave him off. “this look is much better.” the waitress coming closer , he leaned over whispering one final threat.
“laugh now baby , shit won't be funny when your ass is sore and pussy is begging for my cock and you don't get it.”

they call you clingy part 2
Tumblr media
bang chan
You and Chan had been together for a while, and things were generally great between you two. You had your own lives, your own routines, but there was always a sense of closeness between you that you both cherished. Lately, though, you’d found yourself tagging along with him more often, especially when he had dinner plans with the members.
At first, he didn’t mind. In fact, he enjoyed having you around, and the other members seemed to appreciate it too. Some of their girlfriends were there as well, so it felt natural, like a group gathering. But after a while, you started coming along more frequently, not wanting to spend evenings apart. You thought it was a way to spend more time with him, but you could tell it was starting to weigh on Chan, though you weren’t sure why.
Chan said nothing at first, but you could tell he became quieter and more distant throughout these dinners. He looked at his phone more frequently, and his smile seemed forced when you spoke with him or the others. Still, you tried to ignore it, telling yourself it was just your imagination. You weren't doing anything wrong by wanting to be with him, right? You had every right to join him on nights when he was with the other members. But you couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
One evening, as you all gathered for a casual dinner at a restaurant, the atmosphere was different. You were laughing, eating, and talking with some of the other girls when you realized Chan was particularly quiet. He was nibbling at his food and not really participating in the conversation. You leaned over to him, laying your hand on his arm, attempting to draw him into the moment.
"Chan, is everything okay?" You asked, your voice gentle and anxious.
He shuddered slightly at the contact and gave you a fake smile. "Yeah, everything's fine," he said, but the tiredness in his voice was clear. The others didn’t seem to notice, but you did. It felt like he was pushing away from you just a little. Your stomach twisted as you tried to ignore the unease creeping in. Then, the conversation shifted. As the dinner continued, someone brought up how often you came along with Chan to these meals. You didn’t think much of it at first, but you could feel his discomfort growing.
“Honestly, though,” Chan suddenly chimed in, his voice a little more sharp than usual, “it’s getting a bit much. She’s always tagging along. It’s like she can’t ever be away from me. It's kind of suffocating.”
The words hit you like a smack in the face. You froze, your heart sinking to the bottom of your stomach. The table fell silent for a moment, the tension in the air evident. You could feel everyone's gaze on you, and your cheeks reddened with shame. You tried to shrug it off, believing it was a joke, but the expression in Chan's eyes revealed his disinterest. He was not joking. Time seemed to slow down, and you could feel the sting of his words settling deep within you. Without thinking, you excused yourself from the table and went to the restroom, your chest tight and your eyes welling with tears. You locked yourself in a stall and tried to calm your pounding heart, but the words replayed in your mind over and over again. “Clingy,” “suffocating.” You felt small, insignificant, and utterly hurt.
Meanwhile, at the table, the other members exchanged glances, seemingly uneasy about what had just happened. After a minute, Hyunjin spoke up, his tone surprisingly soft. "Chan, that wasn't cool, man. Why would you say anything like that? She isn't clinging at all. She's just trying to spend time with you."
Felix nodded in line, his tone quiet yet forceful. "Yeah, we really like having her around. She makes things more fun, you know? I don't understand why you'd say something like that.”
Chan wasn't sure how to answer. He had meant it as a joke, something to relieve the stress he'd been experiencing lately, but now that he'd heard the other responses from the others, a rush of shame swept over him. He felt he'd crossed a boundary, but it wasn't until they spoke out that he recognized how serious the situation was. "I didn't mean it like that," he whispered, but his apologies seemed hollow even for him.
His thoughts was muddled by remorse, and for the first time in a long time, he felt completely embarrassed. "I think you should go talk to her," Minho said softly. "She is probably really hurt right now. You have to make it right."
Chan’s stomach churned. He didn’t want to think about how badly he’d hurt you. His usual confident self was gone, replaced by a knot of regret.

lee know
It was one of those days. The sort where everything you touched seemed to fall apart, and every corner you turned revealed another disaster ready to happen. The day began with your boss screaming at you for something you didn't even do, his anger pouring out on you as if it were your responsibility that the world was collapsing. You hardly had time to calm yourself before spilling your coffee all over your blouse at lunch. The entire day had been an upsurge of humiliating incidents, missed deadlines, and biting your tongue to resist snapping at everyone who gave you the wrong look.
You were physically and emotionally drained when you arrived home. You just wanted the day to end, to close your eyes and forget everything. However, when you walked through the door, you were welcomed by a familiar, comfortable smell.
Minho was in the kitchen, wearing an apron and humming softly to himself while making something. Your heart lifted a little because he was here, cooking for you. The simple gesture of kindness was a welcome breath of fresh air after a long day of drowning.
You stood by the door, hesitant whether to interrupt, but then he turned toward you with a gentle smile. "Hey, how was your day?"
You forced a smile, despite the weight of the day pressing on you. “It was... fine. I’m just glad to be home.”
He noticed the weariness in your eyes and walked over to you, wrapping his arms around your shoulders in a gentle embrace. It was the kind of comfort you needed, even if you didn’t know it until he offered it. “Relax. I’ve got dinner covered. Why don’t you just sit down and take it easy?”
You nodded, thankful for his concern, but something inside you refused to just sit back and do nothing. It felt awful to be passive while he was so busy. "Let me help," you volunteered, heading near the counter, attempting to gather yourself after a stressful day. Minho gently shook his head, a teasing gleam in his eyes. "There's no need. "Please relax, okay?" You couldn't help but feel a sense of dissatisfaction. He was always so selfless and compassionate, and you didn't want to be someone who just sat by. Instead of disputing, you nodded and gave in to his desire. He was right, after all; you could use a break. “Alright. But give me something small to do.”
Minho paused for a moment to contemplate, then assigned you a tiny task. "Okay, could you please tidy up a little while I finish the soup? Just wipe down the countertops." It seemed simple enough.
You took a rag and followed his instructions while he worked on the soup. The house was peaceful, almost serene, and you hadn't felt that type of peace all day. It was good to be here with him and feel like you weren't confronting the world alone.
But in the middle of cleaning, your eyes darted to the pot of soup on the stove. It smelled incredible like something he had poured his heart into. You felt a surge of gratitude, the kind that made you want to help him, to show him how much you appreciated everything he did for you.
Without thinking, you decided to move the pot, to give him a little more space so he could focus on finishing everything. You gently lifted the heavy pot, but as you tried to shift it, your grip faltered. The edge of the pot slipped from your hand, and in an instant, it tilted, the boiling liquid splashing violently all over the kitchen floor and onto your leg.
You screamed out in shock, the searing heat of the soup burning into your skin, but the pain on your leg was nothing compared to the way everything seemed to shatter around you. The kitchen became chaos. The pot had fallen, splattered everywhere, and the delicious smell was suddenly replaced with the pungent scent of spilled soup. You tried to gather yourself, but the kitchen was now a disaster, and so were you on the verge of tears, overwhelmed, hurt, and defeated.
Minho turned when he heard the accident. His expression shifted from worry to annoyance in an instant. You looked up, and his eyes were filled with anger. The following words he said struck you harder than the burn on your leg. "Why are you always so clingy? I spent hours making that! "If you had just stayed out of the way for once, this could have been avoided!" His voice was harsh and slashed through the air like a razor. You stared at him, frozen in shock.
Was this actually happening?
His words felt like a punch to your chest. They were not what you expected, not from him, not when you were already dealing with the weight of the world. Your mind scrambled to make sense of it. How had it come to this? How had you gone from being the person he always tried to comfort to someone he now seemed to resent?
He stayed there, hands clenched at his sides. "God, I can't believe this," he said quietly, shaking his head. You always do this. You always get in the way. "Why can't you just relax and let me do it?"
You couldn't react because your heart was hammering painfully in your chest. You had spilled more than simply the soup. It was not only the mess. It was the sting of being accused of something you never wanted to do, like being too much. You did not want to be a burden for him. You never intended to make things more difficult, yet everything you did seemed to make things worse.
Minho sighed, looking at the mess with frustration. “Just… go to the room or something,” he snapped, turning away from you.
You stood there, unsure of what to do, feeling smaller than you ever had before. You knew he was angry, but the way he dismissed you, the way he acted like you were just an inconvenience, was something you hadn’t expected from him. He wasn’t usually like this. But right now, it felt like you had done something unforgivable. It felt like everything you had ever tried to do for him had been wrong, every gesture of kindness or help misplaced.
Your legs gave way, and you sank to the floor, trying to steady yourself, but your hands trembled with the weight of his words. Hot tears welled up in your eyes, and you didn’t bother wiping them away. The physical pain in your leg from the burns was nothing compared to the ache in your chest. You had wanted to help, to make things better for him. But now, all you could do was try to tend to your own wounds both physical and emotional alone.
You pulled yourself up slowly, wiping away the tears you hadn’t realized were falling, trying to find the strength to move. Minho was still in the kitchen, silent now, cleaning up the mess you had made, but his anger still hung in the air, thick and suffocating.
You left him there, retreating to your bedroom, feeling more isolated than you had in a long time. The night was quiet, but the silence between you and Minho felt louder than ever. And in that silence, you couldn’t help but wonder how long you could keep trying to be the person he wanted you to be when everything you did seemed to push him further away.

changbin
The evening started out like any other. You and Changbin were going to go to the gym together after a long day. You were excited to spend more time with him, especially since you had been trying to join him at the gym more often recently. At first, it seemed like a fun bonding activity. You'd go to encourage him, attempt to keep up with some of the exercises, and simply enjoy being with him. Changbin had always been a bit of a lone wolf, preferring his own time to recuperate, but he'd been nice enough to let you tag along at first.
You didn’t realize that things had slowly started to change. What had initially felt like an innocent way to spend more time together had started to weigh on him. Maybe it was because you’d started following him around everywhere always just a few steps behind, trying to do what he was doing, lingering around him during his sets. Maybe it was because he didn’t have his usual space anymore. But whatever the reason, Changbin was beginning to feel the pressure, and he didn’t know how to tell you.
You had no idea how much your presence at the gym was bothering him. He wasn't trying to hurt you or make you feel bad about wanting to spend time with him, but tonight was different. He could feel his patience fading and his irritation growing the more you wanted to incorporate yourself into his routine. It was supposed to be his time to escape. He needed the gym to be his sanctuary, a place to unwind and clear his mind. But tonight, as you followed him from machine to machine, everything came to a head.
The air in the gym seemed heavier than usual. Changbin could feel his patience fraying as you followed him for what seemed like the umpteenth time. You weren't doing anything wrong, yet he couldn't shake the overwhelming sense that you were constantly present. His gaze shifted to the clock on the wall; he'd been here for nearly an hour. And it wasn't that you were clingy in an obnoxious way; it was simply that you were always with him, which was enough to frustrate him.
He couldn't concentrate, couldn't clear his mind as he used to. You were always there, following his every move, asking questions about his setups, and attempting to get in the way of his routine. His thoughts were clouded, his mind no longer able to concentrate on the iron and his own movements. He couldn’t unwind. He couldn’t breathe.
When you followed him to the weights area once again, his frustration bubbled over.
“Y/N, can you just stop?” he snapped, his voice harsh and sharp, completely different from the usual warmth you were used to. His words cut through the air like a slap. “Can you just let me have this one thing? The gym isn’t supposed to be some place where you follow me around all the time. I need it to be my own. I need my space. You’re always here, and it’s... it’s too much.”
You froze, a cold shiver of confusion running through your body. Your eyes flickered from his irritated face to the ground, unsure of what to say. You had always been so excited to share things with him, and this was the last place you thought something like this would happen.
“B-Bin... I didn’t—" you started, your voice faltering, but he cut you off, his frustration spilling over.
“You’re always clinging to me, Y/N. And at first, I thought it was cute. But now? It’s just too much. The gym is supposed to be my alone time, somewhere I can relax, somewhere I can focus. But you’re here, and I can’t even do that anymore,” he said, each word feeling like a weight crashing down on you.
Your chest tightened and you found yourself unable to breathe for a little while. It felt as if the world had stopped moving around you, and all you could hear was the flow of blood in your ears. You weren't expecting to hear those words from him. Changbin had always been supportive and loving, even if he was a little protective of his space. What about now? Now it felt like he was pushing you away. And the way he avoided your gaze while he spoke, as if he couldn't stand to witness the pain he was causing, you could feel your heart breaking piece by piece.
You bit your lip, trying to hold back the tears threatening to spill, but it didn’t help. The lump in your throat was too big, and the pain was too overwhelming. You weren’t clingy. You just wanted to be close to him. You didn’t realize that your presence, something you thought was innocent, had been smothering him. But hearing it from him so bluntly… it felt like a punch to the gut.
You said nothing at first. Your body was stiff, your eyes filled with unshed tears. You wanted to say something, but the words would not come out. Instead, you simply turned slowly and began to walk away. "I'll go," you said softly, your voice barely audible. Your steps were wobbly as you approached the exit. Changbin turned around, his heart sinking into his chest. It hit him, followed by the look in your eyes. Your lips quivered. He realized what he had just said. The frustration and fury had been misplaced. He didn't mean to hurt you. He wasn't trying to make you feel unwanted. But it was too late now. The damage was done.
“Y/N—wait!” he called after you, but it was no use. You didn’t even turn around. You just kept walking, your back stiff, your steps hurried.

hyunjin
(a/n: you and hyunjin aren’t a couple here, you’re childhood best friends)
The after-party had been buzzing with energy all night, full of celebration and the kind of chaotic, joyful atmosphere that followed every successful concert. It was supposed to be a moment of relief, a chance to let go of the weight of the stage and just relax with friends. You, however, couldn’t seem to shake off the knot of tension that had been growing inside you for weeks.
It hadn’t been an abrupt change, not really. Hyunjin, your best friend, had slowly started to become distant. At first, it was subtle, a shift in the way he looked at you, the way he barely seemed to notice when you were around. But now, it had become glaringly obvious, especially in moments like this, when you found yourself desperately trying to keep the connection you two had built over the years.
You’d always been there for him, supporting him through everything the highs and the lows. But lately, whenever you tried to lean on him, he pulled away. The distance between you had begun to feel insurmountable, and tonight, surrounded by the group at the after-party, it felt like the final straw.
You felt an odd, uncomfortable pull as soon as you walked inside the party. The sight of Hyunjin laughing with the rest of the group should have made you happy, but instead it made your chest tighten with anxiety. He looked... unusual. His eyes, the way they avoided yours, made it clear that something had changed between you two. You despised the sense of being on the outside, like you didn't belong anymore.
You had tried to give him his space during the last few weeks, respecting the growing distance between you. But tonight, you were determined to be present. To pretend as if everything was still fine.
After all, you were his best friend, right?
You moved over to where he was sitting, talking with Seungmin and Jeongin. When they saw you approaching, Jeongin's face lit up with that warm, welcome smile that always put you at at ease. He gave you a warm nod and motioned for you to join them, which you immediately did, thinking that the familiarity of the situation could help the uneasiness that had begun to settle over you. But once you sat down, Hyunjin's tone changed. His eyes flicked across to you for a quick, unreadable look before returning to the others. You tried not to take it personally, but it hurt. Jeongin was chatting animatedly about something, but you couldn't pay attention. All you could think about was how Hyunjin had practically turned his back on you.
After a few moments, you couldn’t hold it in anymore. You leaned closer to Hyunjin, trying to keep your tone light, as if everything were normal. “Hey, Hyunjin... you good? You’ve seemed off lately.”
He looked at you, his expression suddenly sharp. “I’m fine,” he replied quickly, and there was a coldness to his voice that cut through you like ice.
You didn’t know what to say. You had always been able to talk through things before, but now it seemed like he didn’t even want to acknowledge you. You tried again, your voice trembling just slightly, “I’m just checking in... I’ve noticed you’ve been a little distant.
Hyunjin rolled his eyes, as if he were irritated with you asking. “You’re always around,” he said, his voice laced with annoyance. “I don’t need you following me everywhere. It’s annoying.”
The words hit you like a slap. You froze, the weight of his comment sinking deep into your chest. You had no idea where this was coming from. You had always been there for him, not because you needed to be, but because you cared about him. You wanted to be there. But now, suddenly, it felt like you were an inconvenience.
The room felt suffocating, the noise of the party growing distant as you tried to process what he had just said. You had always been careful not to smother him, always tried to give him space. But now he was telling you that your presence, your very existence, was too much for him.
It was too much.
The lump in your throat grew, but you weren’t going to let him see you falter. You tried to hold back the tears that threatened to spill over, but you couldn’t stop the rush of emotions that came flooding to the surface. You had tried so hard to be understanding, to be patient, but this was too much to handle.
Before you could say anything more, you snapped. “You know what, Hyunjin? I’m not following you around,” your voice trembling with a mix of hurt and frustration. “I’m only here because Felix invited me. As his date.”
The words hung in the air, sharper than you intended, but you didn’t care. You could feel the sting of betrayal, the way Hyunjin had made you feel small, and the anger bubbled up inside you. The room grew quiet for a moment, everyone’s attention now focused on the exchange.
You didn’t look at Hyunjin. You couldn’t. Instead, you turned on your heel, your pulse pounding in your ears, and walked straight to Felix, who was standing nearby. He gave you a surprised glance, but he didn’t ask questions. He simply wrapped an arm around you as you sat next to him, offering you a comforting presence in the midst of your emotional storm.
You didn't speak for a time, your thoughts racing from the argument, but Felix didn't press you to explain. He just let you sit there in peace, his arm resting comfortably on your shoulder. You leaned into him, attempting to center yourself and escape the overpowering pain that threatened to consume you whole. Felix did not deserve to bear the burden of your wounded heart, but in that time, his comfort was the only thing that made sense.
Hyunjin's gaze stayed fixed on you as the party went on. But you refused to look his direction. He'd already made it apparent that your presence no longer mattered to him. He had driven you away with his hurtful words, and as much as it pained you to admit it, you knew deep down that it was too late to fix things.
The rest of the night was a blur. You couldn’t stop thinking about what had happened, about how he had made you feel so small, so insignificant. The person who had once been your best friend, who had always been there for you, was now the one who had cast you aside. And the worst part was that you didn’t even know why.
As the party wound down and everyone began to leave, you stayed close to Felix, not looking back, not wanting to face Hyunjin. You didn’t know what had changed between you two, or why he had suddenly decided that your friendship wasn’t worth his time. All you knew was that the person who had once been your closest confidant, the one who knew all your secrets and fears, had just torn your heart apart.
And you didn’t know how to fix it.

HAN
The evening began like any other, or so it was supposed to be. But Jisung felt as if the world was pushing down on him with every step he made into the apartment. The intensity of the day still clung to him, like a physical weight of frustration, disappointment, and tiredness. He had spent hours in the meeting with the company staff, only to hear criticism for the smallest mistakes and missteps. It wasn't the first time, but it always hurt. This time, however, it seemed different; he couldn't shake the nagging sense of inadequacy.
The door clicked behind him, and the familiar aroma of home didn't bring much comfort. Instead, it was almost smothering. His limbs ached, his mind raced, and all he needed was peace, time to unwind.
But you were there.
You always were.
As soon as he walked through the door, your eyes searched his face, and he could see the concern etched over your features. He could tell you'd sensed something was wrong. He attempted to disguise it when he saw you earlier that day, brushing off your "are you okay?" with a quick "yeah, I'm fine," but now, as you stood there with that sweet look in your eyes, he couldn't help but see it. You could look right through him, like glass.
"Jisung," you said quietly, your voice carrying the gentle tone you always used when you knew he was struggling, "are you sure you're okay? You don’t look okay."
It wasn’t the first time you’d asked. You'd been asking since the moment he came home, like you always did when you saw him worn down, like you always did when he looked like he was holding a little too much in. But no matter how well you meant it, no matter how much you truly cared about him, he just didn’t want to talk about it. Not today. Not tonight.
"I’m fine," he muttered, his tone dismissive, but you could hear the edge in his voice.
You hesitated, eyes scanning him again, sensing the distance between his words and the tension in his body.
"Jisung… I know you’re not fine," you said softly, a frown pulling at your lips. You reached toward him, wanting to bridge the gap that was widening between you, but he stepped back before you could touch him.
"I’m fine," he repeated, louder this time, irritation lacing his voice. "Just stop asking."
Your heart twisted, but you tried to swallow the hurt, not wanting to push him further. But you couldn’t stop yourself from trying again, desperate to get him to open up. "Please, I can tell something’s wrong. If you need to talk, I’m here."
He froze at that, hands clenched at his sides, jaw clenched. His frustration, the irritation that had been building inside him all day, finally cracked open.
"I said I'm fine!" He snapped, his voice sharp, his eyes burning with anger, not at you, but at the world that had worn him down. "Why are you always so clingy? It's annoying. I do not need you hovering over me like this. I don't need you constantly keeping tabs on me!" The words were biting and nasty. You trembled, a flood of hurt smashing over you, but you tried to stay calm.
You couldn't help but feel the sting of dismissal and the weight of his harshness. "I'm just trying to help you," you said softly, your voice quivering slightly. "I just want to make sure that you're okay. Why don't you let me help?"
He glanced at you, the spark of guilt in his eyes swiftly drowned out by the a flood of frustration within him. He opened his mouth and nothing came out. He wanted to apologize. He knew he hurt you. But the words did not come, and he had no idea how to make it right. He didn't know how to ask for what he wanted when everything inside him felt like it was about to come apart.
You did not wait for him to say anything. The anger, bewilderment, and hurt welled up in your chest, and before you could stop yourself, you turned on your heel and marched out, your footsteps loud and strong as you made your way to the bedroom.
The door slammed behind you, and for a moment, there was nothing but silence. You sank onto the bed, feeling the weight of the frustration both his and yours press down on your chest like a suffocating blanket.
You didn’t want to cry. You didn’t want to feel this way. You had only wanted to help him. To be there for him when he was struggling. But all he had done was push you away.
You heard no footsteps, no soft knock on the door. Normally, when something like this happened, he would come after you. He would apologize, his voice soft and regretful, and you’d make up. He’d say something about how it wasn’t you, how he was just having a hard time. But this time, the silence stretched on. The door stayed closed.
It wasn’t long before you realized he wasn’t coming.
The silence felt so loud, so suffocating, and it only made everything hurt more. He wasn’t here to apologize. He wasn’t here to soothe you like he always did.
And maybe this time it wasn't all about him. Maybe it was more than simply his tiredness and irritation. Maybe it was about something deeper, something more than just a bad day at work. Your heart broke at the thought that he might have pushed you away because he didn't know how to accept you. Maybe he'd been hiding his pain for so long because he was frightened to show you the parts of himself he thought were too shattered. Maybe he was just too stressed to recognize that you weren't a burden, but rather someone who wanted to help him shoulder the weight.
But right now, none of that mattered. What mattered was that he had called you clingy, had pushed you away when all you wanted was to hold him close.
You curled up in bed, hugging your knees to your chest, and tried not to cry.
You didn’t hear him come in, but you felt the weight of the bed shift beside you. Jisung’s presence was always so familiar, so warm, but tonight it felt distant. He didn’t touch you. He didn’t say anything. He just sat there, in the darkness, as the minutes dragged on.
And you, as much as it hurt, didn’t know if you could ask him again if he was okay. Not yet. Not until he was ready to admit that he wasn’t.

felix
It had been one of those days where everything seemed strange, as if a thin film of tension had been applied to the edges of everything you did. The kind of day where even the most basic tasks felt significant, and no matter how hard you tried to make things feel normal, you couldn't escape the growing distance. Maybe you chalked it up to stress. Maybe it was just a phase. Everyone goes through a hard stretch, right? But when you woke in the middle of the night, your hand instinctively going for the warm spot beside you, only to find it empty, that emotion became too strong to ignore. Felix had always been the one to stay close, even in sleep. He was always so attentive to your needs, so present. But now, the space between you was cold, and the bed felt too large without him there.
You sat up, the quiet of the room pressing in on you, your heartbeat loud in your ears as you swung your legs off the side of the bed. The soft glow of the TV in the living room flickered across the hallway, casting long shadows.
As you made your way down the hall, you saw him there, slumped on the couch, his eyes fixed on the screen but unseeing, staring at it like it held some answer that he couldn’t quite grasp. You could see the strain in his posture, the weight of something pressing on him, but he didn't acknowledge you as you approached.
You stopped a few feet away, unsure what to say. The silence between you two felt like a wall, immovable and unbreakable. This wasn't the Felix you knew, the one who would always offer a comforting smile or an encouraging word when you needed it. This version of him was remote and frigid, as if he built a fortress and did not plan to let anyone in.
"Felix," you whispered slowly, trying not to shock him, your voice trembling with emotion. "What's wrong?"
He didn’t respond at first, as if he hadn’t heard you, or maybe he just didn’t want to answer. The minutes dragged on, each second feeling like it added more distance between you two. Finally, when he spoke, his voice was low and strained, and it hit you in a way you hadn’t expected.
“Nothing,” he muttered, though it was clear that wasn’t true. His words didn’t match the heaviness in the air, the emptiness that had settled between you two. “Just… leave me alone, okay?”
The words hit you like a punch to the gut. Leave him alone? You didn’t understand. Since when had he ever asked you for space, especially like this? Felix had always been the one to reach out, to comfort you, to be the one you could lean on when things got tough. But now, he was shutting you out, pushing you away.
You stood there, paralyzed, staring at the back of his head as the emptiness in the room seemed to swallow you whole. His posture was stiff, almost defensive, like he was trying to make himself smaller, trying to hide from you, and it hurt more than you ever expected.
"You don't have to be so clingy all the time," he said, his voice more clipped and distant than you'd ever heard. It was as if the words were spoken by someone else, a stranger in the body of the person you loved.
Clingy? The word resonated in your thoughts, sending you reeling. You'd never considered yourself clingy. Have you really gotten so annoying? Was your affection and presence too much for him? You couldn't understand it. The connection, the intimacy that had once been so natural between you two now seemed so far away, as if it were a dream you couldn't fathom.
“I just…” Your voice faltered, and you took a shaky breath, willing yourself not to cry, not to show him just how much his words had wounded you. “I just wanted to know what’s wrong. You’re… you’re not like this, Felix. Not with me.”
You took a tentative step forward, hoping that your proximity would reach him, that your presence would somehow break through the wall he had built around himself. But he didn’t move, didn’t acknowledge you, and that hurt more than anything else. It was the silence, the refusal to face you, that felt like a betrayal.
"Please talk to me," you whispered, your heart breaking as you watched him remain motionless on the couch, his eyes still fixed on the television, as though he could pretend you weren’t even there.
But Felix didn’t respond. Instead, he kept his focus on the screen, the distant expression on his face more painful than any argument. You could feel the distance between you growing, spreading like a chasm, and it felt like you were standing at the edge, about to fall into the void.
It wasn't always this way, you thought, recalling times when simply being in the same room was enough to make you feel connected. It seemed as if you blinked and everything had changed. He wasn't the same Felix who would stay up with you when you were feeling sad, holding you and whispering comfort in the darkness. The man who had once looked at you with warmth and love now seemed so distant, like a stranger you didn't recognize.
Your heart ached; the anguish of losing him, feeling him slide through your fingers, was almost excruciating. You could not tolerate the deafening stillness between you any longer.
With a last, desperate glance at him, you whispered, “I’m here, Felix. I’m always here for you. If you need space, if you need time, I’ll give it to you. But I just… I just need to know you’re okay.”
But he didn't respond and didn't move. His silence hurt worse than words could, and you realized, with a sickening feeling, that you had no idea where you stood in his life. The Felix you knew, the Felix who would always reach out to you, seemed like a memory you could no longer grasp onto. You turned away, your feet feeling heavy as you walked back to the bedroom, the distance between you two becoming more than just physical.
The weight of his disinterest crushed against your chest, smothering you, and you wondered whether things would ever be the same again. Will he come to you eventually? Would he tell you about what was bothering him, or had you already lost him in ways you couldn’t fix?
You climbed back into bed, the sheets cold where he should have been beside you. And as the night stretched on in silence, you tried not to feel the unbearable emptiness that had settled in your heart, wondering if Felix would ever look at you the same way again.

seungmin
The front door creaked open, and you could hear Seungmin's footsteps in the hallway, dragging slightly, indicating how exhausted he must have been after a long day of practice and vocal lessons. You'd been waiting for him, possibly too eagerly, though you tried not to admit it. You had planned to talk, the conversation you'd been putting off for days because the silence had gotten unbearable. The subtle shift in his demeanor, the way he became more distant and engaged in his own world, weighed heavy on your chest.
You knew how busy he was, how much work he put into his training and craft. But it didn't take away the sting of feeling like an afterthought, as if you were no longer a part of his life. You had tried to keep it together, to give him his space when he needed it, but the continual feeling of being neglected was gradually pulling you apart. You needed him to see you. You needed him to care the way he used to, to put forth the same effort that you did.
So, as the door clicked shut and you heard him move toward the kitchen, you braced yourself and entered the hallway to greet him.
"Seungmin," you called softly, but there was no immediate response. He didn’t even look up, didn’t even glance in your direction.
You took a breath, trying to keep the anxiety from choking you. "Can we talk?" Your voice was steady, though you could feel the tremor beneath it. "It feels like we’re not the same anymore."
His footsteps faltered for half a second, and you thought maybe you had caught his attention. But instead of stopping, he just continued walking past you, brushing past your shoulder so closely you could feel the coldness radiating off him. He didn’t even spare you a glance.
"Seungmin," you said again, but this time there was a little crack in your voice, a vulnerability you didn't want to express. You needed him to hear and see you, even if just for a moment. But he did not stop. Finally, he gave a low, exasperated groan that hung between you like a wall. He turned halfway, his eyes flickering to you with an enigmatic expression. "Why do you always make things so dramatic?" His comments were harsh, cutting through the silence and making you flinch. "You're really clingy. Just leave me alone for once."
The words were like a punch to the gut. The force of them knocked the wind out of you, and your heart seemed to stop for just a moment, trapped somewhere in the space between your chest and throat. You hadn’t expected this. You hadn’t expected him to say something so cold, so dismissive. All you had wanted was to talk, to bridge the distance that had formed between you, but now it felt like you were drowning in it.
Your body went still. You opened your mouth to respond, to explain how unfair that was, but no words came. How could you even argue against that? How could you explain that all you wanted was his attention, his care? You weren’t clingy you were hurt.
"Seungmin, I’m not—" The words tumbled out weakly, but they didn’t seem to matter.
"You are," he interrupted, his tone now flat, distant. "I don’t have the energy for this right now."
He turned away from you, heading toward the kitchen without another glance, leaving you standing in the hallway, shattered.
You stood there for a long moment, frozen in the aftermath of his words. Everything you had been holding back, all the frustration, the confusion, the loneliness that had built up over the last few weeks, was suddenly crashing down on you like a wave. Was that it? Was that all you were to him now? Someone who was too much to deal with?
You had never felt so small. So invisible.
You had tried to keep it together. You had told yourself it wasn’t a big deal, that he was just stressed, that he didn’t mean it. But now, standing there in the hallway with nothing but the echo of his dismissal ringing in your ears, you realized that maybe this was the problem the distance. The lack of communication. The feeling that no matter how hard you tried, you could never reach him, never get him to understand what you needed, what you were hurting from.
You wanted to chase after him, to try again, to make him see how much his words had stung. But something inside of you had broken. There was a voice inside you now that said, "It’s too late. You’ve tried. He doesn’t want to listen." And that was more painful than anything else knowing that, deep down, he didn’t even want to meet you halfway anymore.
You had hoped, and even prayed, that things would return to normal, that the love you once shared would reemerge. But standing there, you couldn't help but feel as if you were fighting a losing war. You didn't ask for much: simply his time, presence, and devotion. You never expected this level of coldness in return.
The silence in the home became intolerable, and each second felt like a weight on your chest. You wanted to yell at him and urge him to care, but all you could do was stand there, feeling the barriers between you two grow higher and higher.
You turned away slowly, your legs heavy, your head spinning with everything you had just heard. You didn’t know what hurt more: his words or the fact that he had walked past you like you were nothing.
You needed him to care, but right now, it felt like the person you needed was already gone.

I.N
The evening had been everything you hoped it would be: thrilling, warm, and full of laughing. You'd been dating Jeongin for about a year, and he was finally introducing you to his members. It seemed like an important milestone in your relationship. You'd heard so much about them, and now you'd get to meet the people he cared about the most. The anticipation had you beaming all evening as you helped Jeongin in cooking dinner, your heart filled with delight at the prospect of cooking together and spending time with the people who were such an important part of his life.
The dinner had gone smoothly. The atmosphere was cozy, filled with the sound of happy chatter and the clinking of silverware. The members were friendly, teasing each other and joking around. You could see why Jeongin was so close with them they were like brothers, comfortable and at ease with each other. You had felt so welcomed by them, their laughter contagious, and the food you had helped prepare had been met with praises.
As the night wore on, everyone settled into the living room, enjoying sweet treats and wine. It was the perfect end to a perfect evening, or so you had thought.
But as the evening wore on, you noticed something that made your stomach churn. Jeongin was distant. He had been quieter than normal, with his focus wandering. Normally, he would be the first to steal a kiss from you or press his hand on yours if you were close. But tonight? Tonight, it felt as if he was purposefully keeping distance between the two of you.
You brushed it off at first, believing he was just weary or stressed after introducing you to everyone. After all, meeting his members was a major step, and maybe he was just concerned with making sure things went smoothly.
But it wasn’t just that.
When you leaned in to rest your head on his shoulder, like you had done numerous times before without thinking twice, he pulled away almost immediately. The action was swift and sharp, as if you had done something wrong. You blinked in surprise, a frown tugging on your lips, but before you could ask what was wrong, he mumbled under his breath, just loud enough for you to hear, "Stop being so clingy." The words struck you like a physical punch. You froze, the warmth of your feelings for him vanished, replaced by a frigid knot of perplexity and embarrassment. Did he mean it? You could feel the weight of the members' gazes as you looked around the room, though no one said anything. But you could tell they had heard, the awkward silence that followed making it painfully clear.
You felt heat rising up your cheeks, humiliated. Had you overstepped? You had never been clingy before and had never thought of yourself in that way. But his comments, which were cutting and contemptuous, hurt more than you wanted to acknowledge. The casual tenderness you had always shared seemed like a distant memory today, a bitter reminder of how things had changed without warning.
Jeongin had always been so warm and tactile with you. Kisses on your cheek while cooking, his arm slung over your shoulder while watching TV, all the little things that made you feel safe and cherished. But tonight? Tonight he was a different person.
You tried to ignore it, thinking maybe it was a bad moment. Perhaps he was just tired, or maybe something had happened at work or with the members that was weighing on him. But as the night continued, the distance between you only seemed to grow. When you tried to brush your hand against his, he pulled it away, a small frown on his face. When you tried to rest your head on his shoulder again, he shifted uncomfortably, avoiding your touch with a small sigh.
It was as if you were a stranger to him, someone he couldn’t stand to be close to.
Your heart dropped. It was a feeling you never expected to have with him, the type of coldness that made you question everything, including the entire foundation of your relationship. You had no idea what was going on in his mind, but the way he was treating you now felt so different from the Jeongin you had fell for.
You excused yourself to the restroom, needing a moment to collect your thoughts and prevent yourself from entirely disintegrating. The quiet hum of the talk in the living room followed you as you walked back, the members' voices merging into the background as your thoughts occupied you.
Was he angry with you? Had you done something wrong? Maybe he was embarrassed by you, by your clinginess. Maybe he didn’t want to be seen as the guy who couldn’t control his girlfriend. Maybe you were being too needy, too dependent, and he just couldn’t handle it anymore. Maybe he had changed, and you were the one who had failed to notice.
You stared at your reflection in the bathroom mirror, taking a few deep breaths, trying to calm the tightness in your chest. When you returned to the living room, you tried to smile, to pretend like everything was fine. But the look on Jeongin’s face when you came back made your stomach twist even further. He didn’t smile at you like he usually did. He didn’t reach for you. He just sat there, a distance between you that felt like an ocean.
You sat down again, feeling smaller than you had with him before. You did not want to confront him in front of the other members. Not when things were going so well. You didn't want to ruin the evening or make things uncomfortable for everyone. But the awkwardness was already there. It seemed like a thick cloud suffocating you, and you knew he felt the same way.
Eventually, the evening came to an end. The group began saying their goodbyes, laughing and conversing, although their voices were scarcely audible. You were too consumed by the subtle tension between you and Jeongin, who hadn't spoken anything to you since your previous conversation. You gently grabbed your stuff, not quite meeting his eyes.
When you reached the door, Jeongin still hadn’t moved. He was standing by the couch, talking to one of the members, completely ignoring you. It wasn’t how you thought it would go. This wasn’t how you imagined the night would end.
It wasn’t until you were halfway out the door that he finally spoke, his voice distant, flat. "You okay?" he asked, as if the tension between you hadn’t been there all evening.
You stood frozen, looking back at him, your chest tight. You wanted to say so many things. You wanted to ask why he was acting this way, to demand an explanation, to tell him how hurt you were by the way he had dismissed you. But you didn’t. Instead, you forced a small smile, though it didn’t reach your eyes.
"Yeah," you replied softly, your voice quiet, strained. "I’m fine."
And then you stepped out, leaving the apartment behind, the discomfort and uncertainty lingering in the air like a thick cloud. You had no idea what had happened or what had caused this abrupt change, but you couldn't shake the feeling that something in your relationship had just broken. Something that might not be fixable.
And as the door clicked shut behind you, you weren't sure if Jeongin noticed.

“I can’t believe you’re making me do this.”
“Shh, daddy smile.”
Soft whispers linger just outside of your apartment, elusive words that you are quick to dismiss as figments of your imagination. However, any doubt in your mind dissipates with three resounding knocks on your door.
A reluctant groan escapes you as you glance down at your attire—a loosely hanging oversized hoodie, a testament to the numerous times it has been tugged down, and a pair of pajama pants whose matching top has mysteriously vanished. Clearly, you don't feel presentable enough to welcome anyone at this late hour. So, you remain motionless, futilely lowering the TV volume in hopes that whoever’s behind the door will just continue with their night. But the knocks persist against your wish, so, with a resigned sigh, you rise from your seat, your blanket cascading to the ground.
“What–” the words dissolve in your mouth like a sweet nectar as you open the door, your eyes beholding no one in your periphery. A slight tug at your pants draws your attention downward, only to find the most adorable child your eyes have ever laid on. She’s clad in Rapunzel-themed pajamas, wolf slippers bumping into your plain ones, and, to your surprise, a whisk cradled in her small hand.
“Hey there,” your voice softens as you crouch to meet her warm gaze. You find an innocent happiness gleaming in her eyes, a radiant spark shining even beneath the corridor’s muted light. Two dimples adorn her cheeks as she smiles at you.
“Hi, my dad wants to tell you something,” she says, pointing with her whisk to the very end of the hallway. You crane your neck, trying to catch a glimpse of the elusive figure.
“Your dad?”
“Mm. He’s a bit shy, that’s why he’s hiding,” she confides in a whisper. But, despite her earnest attempt, her words still resound loudly in the vacant space, causing giggles to spill out of your mouth.
“And you aren’t shy?” you inquire, tilting your head.
“Nu-uh,” she shakes her head with conviction as someone emerges behind her. She instinctively wraps an arm around their leg, nestling her cheek against their thigh.
She isn’t shy because she feels protected.
You rise from your place, eyes locking with a familiar shade of brown. Only these hold a mesmerizing quality to them making your very breath catch in your throat. Kindness pours from his gaze as it travels down your face, a sentiment that further materializes as delicate smile lines stitch around the corner of his eyes.
He’s beautiful.
Your eyes trail down to two pairs of dimples, mirroring the ones of his daughter perfectly. She is his living portrait, sharing his eyes, lips, and smile. Yet, his cheeks blush in a hue she does not possess, while his left hand fiddles with his earlobe, in an unspoken, timid gesture. For some odd reason, it pierces straight through your heart.
“Sorry for bothering you,” a smooth Australian accent rolls off his tongue, similar to rich butter spread on warm bread- it infuses your being with tingles pulsating from the base of your toes. You suddenly no longer miss your blanket.
“I’m your next-door neighbor. We were just making cookies and we realized we actually  don’t have flour,” he explains, a bashful smile imprinted onto his lips.
“You didn’t check beforehand?” you ask, laughter tinting your voice.
“I forgot,” he admits, but his tone sounds almost sad as if beating himself over it. A fleeting shadow veils his face briefly, dissipating like a passing cloud grazing the sun.
“Can we borrow some from you? I told Sowon that we could go to the store but she said it’s too cold out,” he asks, his hand resting on his daughter’s shoulder soothingly.
“It is too cold out,” you agree with a frown, looking down at Sowon to which she smiles brightly, happy to have your support.
“And of course, I'll bring you flour. Don’t worry about it. Do you want to come in meanwhile?”
“It's okay, we'll wait here. Don’t want to intrude.”
“Thank you!” Sowon beams, her missing tooth in full display.
“Yeah, thank you so much…” he trails out, tilting his head as if to silently inquire about your name.
“Yn. And you?”
“Chris.”
“Nice to meet you, Chris,” you smile, shaking his extended hand. His fingers wrap around your palm, and it feels as if you’re grasping thunder, crackling with an electricity that your eyes can’t behold, yet your soul does, suddenly illuminated from within.
Your smile grows as you detach yourself from his hold, before bending forward to bop Sowon’s nose. “And nice to meet you too Rapunzel.”
Your words make her hide behind her father’s leg, peeking out slightly to look at you.
“See I’m not the only one who gets shy,” Chan chuckles, and Sowon whines in complaint, further burying her face in her dad’s grey sweatpants.
Adorable, so much it stirs a long-forgotten melancholy within your being.
“She gets a pass, she’s still young, right Sowon?”
“Are you calling me old then?” Chan fakes outrage, bringing one hand to his chest while the other cradles Sowon’s back.
“Old enough to forget about flour,” you wink and he laughs, looking down at your slippers.
“Touché.”
A few minutes go by before you come back, a recipient full of flour in your hands. The sight before you makes you pause in your tracks– Chris, leaning against the wall, Sowon propped on his hip, her arms loosely hanging around his neck, her eyes closed.
“Did she…” you whisper and he turns to you.
“Yeah, fell asleep,” he smiles fondly, tucking a few strands of her hair behind the curve of her ear. “She’ll be disappointed when she wakes up to no cookies. She wanted us to have a baking holiday tradition.”
“You don’t know how to make them?”
“No, I was counting on a six-year-old to assist me,” he chuckles quietly, prompting a snort from you.
“Well, keep the flour, in case you need it again.”
“Thank you, Yn,” he grins, the smile taking over his entire face, grabbing the recipient from you.
“You’re welcome Chris,” you say, as you both linger around the door still, not making any attempt to move.
Your eyes refuse to peel away from his, as if there were a magnetic force drawing you to him, telling you that your gaze belonged to rest on him.
“Uhm,” he clears his throat, leaning away from the wall. “I'll get going.”
“Yeah, sleep well, Chris.”
“Thank you,” he smiles before turning around.
An idea brews in your head, a germ sprouted by the clear adoration in which Sowon gazed at her dad, and the disappointment in his face as he said he would no longer be making cookies. Had you wished to dig a little deeper, you would’ve also found a long-buried feeling of a little girl who would have loved holiday traditions as well. You close the door before heading straight to your kitchen.
One hour later
You knock softly on Chris’ door, fidgeting from one foot to another. You almost retract back to your apartment after your fourth knock, when the door finally opens, Chris coming into your line of sight.
“Hi,” you greet, hands behind your back.
“Hey,” he smiles, leaning his arm on the doorway, right above your head. He tilts his head to the side, silently wondering what you want. The words dissolve in your mouth at the way his eyes fixate on you as if trying to peer behind your irises onto your mind.
“Cookies,” you bring the plate before him, as his eyes grow wide, an incredulous smile drawn on his lips.
“You made them?”
“Yeah, didn't want Sowon to be disappointed,” you shrug and his eyes grow wild, racking all over your face in disbelief.
“You didn't have to do this,” he finally says, tone softening, syllables ringing like a sweet sonnet in your ears.
“I know. I wanted to. and I’m a baker so making cookies comes easily to me, don’t worry about it,” you shrug sheepishly, biting your lower lip slightly. You felt scrutinized by him in ways you haven't felt before.
“Thank you, Yn, I don’t even know what to say,” he says, his smile resembling a beam of light. A surge of pride courses through you at managing to bring it forth.
“No need to say anything. I hope I didn't wake you up,” you smile sheepishly and he shakes his head.
“No, I- I was working in my studio and Sowon is asleep. It's just us two. Always has been,” he adds, tone slightly changing, air growing heavier between you both. It’s just them two.
“Studio?” you inquire, hoping to dispel the tension latching around you both.
“I’m a music producer,” he clarifies. “I made a studio here so I could stay the night with Sowon.”
“I’m sure she appreciates that,” you say as you hand the plate to him. His fingertips brush against your own, and a slight electricity courses through you at the touch, the hallway suddenly brighter from the fireworks ricocheting off of you both.
“I…. I'll get going.”
“Yeah, yeah, don't want to take more of your time.”
“I'll see you around.”
“Yeah, I'll see you,” he says, words not ringing carelessly into the air, sounding more like a promise. He'll see you, he'll make sure of it.
ii.
“Can you wait!” a voice echoes near the building entrance, and you prevent the elevator doors from closing as hurried steps near you.
You recognize the voice easily by the light tingles running down your spine, the Australian accent shooting straight through your heart. Its owner materializes, Chris— leather jacket hugging his muscles snuggly, black t-shirt tucked into a pair of blue jeans, cap nestled on his head, rebellious strands of ebony hair peeking behind it.
You find the breath knocked out of you once again at his sight. He's beautiful, even more so in broad daylight, where every feature of his comes to life, beckoning, demanding your sole attention.
“Hey, Yn,” he smiles in delight, uttering your name in a familiarity that infuses your being with warmth. Even though you've only talked once, two days ago.
“Hey, Chris,” you greet back, pressing the fourth elevator button again. you face the mirror to find Chris already looking at you, his eyes instantly locking with yours.
“The cookies were good,” he smiles softly and you grin. “I'm glad you think so.”
“Where is your bakery? I need to taste more of your baking.”
The butterflies in your stomach tone down at his words, your attraction momentarily forgotten as gratitude coats your heart instead.
“I can text you the address?” you propose.
“Yeah, here,” he takes out his phone, a picture of him and Sowon set as his lock screen— their cheeks are pressed tightly to one another, messily done eyeliner on both their eyes. you giggle to yourself as you grab the device.
“Cute picture,” you muse and he brings an arm to his neck, scratching the side of it timidly.
“She insists on trying her makeup on me.”
“She makes you look better,” you giggle and he rolls his eyes, tongue poking against his cheek.
“She wants to become a stylist,” he explains, as the elevator doors open. He lets you out first, arm stretched forward.
“I find her passion really cute so I buy her anything she asks for,” he shrugs and you chuckle, pointing to the bag of pink ribbons he is carrying.
“Let me guess, she wants to use these on you?”
“Yeah. She also said that I quote ‘need to learn new hairstyles because her friends always come to class with intricate braids, and she can't go to class with a simple one.’” He repeats, tone growing slightly high-pitched as he mimics his daughter's words. Yet, the fond smile on his face is louder, screaming of his love for her.
“She has you wrapped around your finger,” you muse, leaning against your door. The keys in your bag are long forgotten.
“She can be very scary for such a little girl.”
“What does she threaten you with?” you ask, feigning horror.
“No goodnight kisses,” he whispers, as if scared she'd hear him beyond the wooden door.
“Torture,” you gasp, placing your hand on his shoulder reassuringly. Yet, the smiles slip out of your face instantly. Was it normal for clothes to dissolve under your touch, layers of cotton and leather doing nothing to stop the warmth of his skin from seeping through you? Was it normal to be so affected by such an innocent touch?
“Uhm,” you clear your throat, “I can help you. with her hair, I mean.”
“You don't have to. I already took too much from your time with the cookies,” he seems truly apologetic, his tone sobering as if despising others doing things for him. You see yourself in him, in the way he wants to carry the world’s burden on his shoulders. It is a reflection you wish to mend.
“I don't mind, I remember feeling jealous of the other girls in my school so I made myself learn all the braids.”
And then you see his gratefulness, the twinkle in his eyes that you can only grasp for a millisecond before they disappear into moon crescents. Happiness looks grand on him, overtaking his entire face, brightening his features with a glow too ethereal to be of mankind, as if they were carved to translate joy. You find yourself willing to give up more of your time to see it.
“Thank you,” he breathes out and you nod, a grin taking over your face as well.
“You’re welcome. Let me just change my clothes.”

“And then, you pull the right strand all over to the middle one. Then you repeat, this way the ribbon is braided into the hair,” you explain to a very concentrated Chris, his eyebrows furrowed as he follows your movements.
“It looks easy when you do it,” he frowns and you giggle, handing the mirror to Sowon so she'd be able to look at her hair.
“Do you like it,” you ask, a tad apprehensive and she beams, dimples that almost swallow her chubby cheeks surging forth.
“Pretty!” she exclaims and you giggle, bopping her nose. “You are pretty.”
“And you are pretty too. right, daddy?”
You turn back to find Chris watching you, a smile so fond on his face that it renders your insides putty, coats your cheek in the palest shade of pink.
“Very much so,” he says, tone quieter, his eyes never leaving yours.
Sowon suddenly climbs on her dad’s lap, star and moon stickers in hand. She places them all over his face, and he sits there diligently, arms wrapped around her midriff so she won't slip away. Every carefully placed sticker is punctuated by a soft gasp from him and a small giggle from her. You could feel the love radiating from both of them, a feeling so strong it made your heart twist in your chest.
Were there red neon exits you weren’t aware of in your being? Ones through which love trickled away all these years ago? Were the spaces between your fingers carved to hold someone’s hand, or to make everything you’ve ever wanted slip from your grasp like fallen sand?
“What do you think?” Sowon startles you and you force a smile on your face, willing the heaviness in your heart to dissipate. There were questions you'd never find the answers to, you had to make peace with that.
“I love it!” you grin and Sowon nods, satisfied. You look down at your lap as Chris fixates his eyes on you, a worried crease growing between his eyebrows.
“Fun is over, you need to do your homework, Miss Bang,” he scolds and you snort, as Sowon rolls her eyes slightly.
“Did you just roll your eyes at me?” he fakes offense and you giggle as Sowon huffs slightly. “Dad, I told you I have no homework. I already did it with uncle Felix.”
“Oh, right,” he deflates slightly before brightening up once again, “then, you should put away all these hairbrushes and ribbons, okay?”
“Will you watch a movie later with me?”
“Of course, baby.”
“Okay then,” she grins, quickly standing up to start putting away her things. you smile, getting up your turn to leave. Chris understands and stands with you on cue.
“You can stay and watch the movie with us.”
“It's okay, I have some things to work on,” you turn around, but then you feel his fingers wrapping around your wrist, stopping you in your tracks.
“Are you okay?” he asks, hand still burning straight through your skin, igniting a million nerve ends with a simple touch. You avoid his eyes, looking down at the ground. It seems to be response enough for him.
“We’re conditioned to say yes even when we aren’t, right?” he speaks softly, his words travel through your veins in a rapid course against the current of your blood— which one will reach your heart first and flood it?
Your facade cracks. His voice wins.
“So, you don't have to reply now,” his thumb swipes once across your pulse. “But I'll be here if you ever wish to tell the truth.”
iii.
You’ve grown exceptionally fond of Chris in the span of mere months, more than you would like to admit to yourself. It was an easy task, as natural as the current of a waterfall. Yet, you did not plan for it, for a new emotion to settle on top of your lungs, to make you more aware of your heart and how it beats, slightly faster, around Chris. But it happened serendipitously, against all odds, when he knocked on your door at 10 p.m. asking for salt.
“Should I start buying groceries for you?” you joked, and it took Chris a millisecond longer to respond, his gaze wandering across your face, as if discovering the world’s eighth wonder, hidden in plain sight all these years.
“For my defense, I have a daughter that likes experimenting with cooking,” he smiled, and you raised an eyebrow at him.
“Just with salt?”
“She added four teaspoons of it in an omelet. Then forced me to eat it because I always tell her food shouldn't go to waste,” he shudders at the memory and you chuckle loudly.
Chris knocks on the doors of your heart, once.
It happened when you spotted a cockroach the size of your palm on your bedroom wall. You would’ve killed it, you were going to, except it started flying towards you and you let out a loud shriek you didn’t know your vocal chords were capable of conjuring. So, you called Chris.
“Can you please come over,” you murmured, crouching near the entrance door, a pair of slippers in your hand.
“Why are you whispering? are you okay?” he sounded worried, and you heard the turning of a lock as he opened the door to his apartment. He didn’t ask questions, instantly coming to your aid. A sudden urge to weep filled your being at his gesture.
“There is a cockroach. a flying one,” you precised, horror dripping from your tongue and his laugh flooded your ear, tiny squeaks that made your hold on the slipper grow limp.
“I'm from Australia,” he knocked on your door, and you stood up promptly. “I've seen worse,” he said once you finally opened it, his eyes softening incredibly when they met yours.
He did kill the cockroach, by spraying your insect repellent enough times to asphyxiate you too. “I don't think I can sleep in there tonight,” you sighed, gulping down ice cold water, “why does it feel like we went through war?”
“We? You were behind my back all the time.”
“I was cheering you on, from afar. Spiritually.”
“I can’t believe a cockroach scares you this much.”
“You literally screamed when it flied towards you too.”
 “I didn't scream! I made a very manly, non-terrified sound.”
“Mm, sure,” you giggled, voice softening at the blushing of the tip of his ears. Chris didn't have to force the door down to your heart, you willingly opened it for him.
And after that, it was a race to find the silliest excuses to see one another. Chris suddenly taking up an inkling for baking, you manifesting a newfound interest in music, Sowon needing her makeup done for a dance, Chris visiting you in your bakery, Sowon craving your cookies and you teaching her the recipe, Chris knocking on your door and you knocking on his. The same giddy smiles on your faces as you usher each other in. And it always, always ending with a movie night.
“Let's watch Tangled,” Sowon exclaims, clapping her hands excitedly.
“Baby, we watched this movie for the past…” he looks at you for support. “Three,” you whisper, a bashful smile on your face. “Yeah, for the past three movie nights,” he whines slightly.
“But I love it,” she says, her pout morphing into a huge grin. “Again! Again! Again!”
“Fine,” he concedes, mouthing “save me,” from afar to you. You giggle softly while Sowon cozies up to your side, your arm draping across her body while her legs stretch atop Chris’ lap, naturally, as if having you both by her side was the way things have always been. The only reality she’s ever known.
It is a fleeting fifty minutes as the three of you watch the movie, Sowon reciting excitedly the lines that she seems to remember. But then the quiet is replaced by her soft snores, her body growing light against you.
“She fell asleep,” you whisper, tapping Chris’ shoulder to catch his attention. He tilts his head to the side, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips as his eyes land on his daughter.
“I'm sorry you have to watch the same movie every time,” he says apologetically and you shake your head.
“I don't mind. Tangled is a good movie.”
“Are you here just because of the movie?” he smiles, dimples peeking through. The juxtaposition between the weight of his words and the soft expression on his face makes a buzzing warmth spread through you. He’s cold and hot, in and out, yours but not.
“What do you want me to be here for?” you throw back, squeezing his shoulder slightly.
“The company.”
“I do find Sowon entertaining.”
“Just her?” he pouts and you giggle, tipping your head back.
“And you too, I suppose, by extension.”
“By extension, mm,” he hums, as he gathers Sowon in his arms, freeing her from your hold. “Then I guess I shouldn't come visit you in your bakery anymore. Since you only enjoy my presence by extension.”
“So sassy,” you shout-whisper as you both walk to Sowon's bedroom, “I like your company too, idiot.”
“Yeah?” he turns back to look at you, tone a tad bit too hopeful. He doesn’t care that he sounds eager for your approval, not when he feels as if he can only truly breathe when you're near.
“Yeah, Chris, I really do,” you speak earnestly, and Chris bites his lower lip slightly, suddenly overwhelmed by the gentleness of your tone. Your eyes follow his action instantly.
He lowers Sowon gently onto the bed and she stirs awake, blinking repeatedly at the both of you. “Yn,” she calls out quietly once her eyes land on yours and you kneel before her bed. Chris watches from the door entrance as Sowon cups her hand near your ear, before whispering something to you. He notices your body stiffening, your gaze fleeting to him before you relax, pressing a kiss to her cheek.
He wishes he could freeze time, stitch this moment into his eyelids until it is the only thing he sees when he goes to sleep. Loneliness is too big of an enemy for one person to fight off, but it seems more harmless when you are near.
Chris sees you right here, every night, not forcing your place into his family, but falling seamlessly into place. Perhaps you were the missing piece that’ll soothe the burn in his heart. Perhaps he’d let you in, even as fear paralyzes his being at the mere thought of asking you to stay.
One week later.
You've grown used to the knocks on your door at ungodly hours of the night, Chris seeking your company each time you both fail to fall asleep. Except this time, there is a chilling premonition in your heart as you walk to your home’s entrance, anxiety coiling like a steel ball in your throat.
“What’s wrong?” you ask upon opening the door, locking eyes with Chris's bloodshot gaze.
“Sowon,” he heaves, tone laden with fear, so different from how he usually pronounces her name. The syllables pierce through your heart like an arrowhead.
“Sowon?” you question, peering behind him to his slightly ajar apartment door.
“Yes, she has a high fever, and it won’t come down. I tried everything, and I-I don’t know what to do anymore. She’s shaking, but I can’t—”He trembles, his quivers akin to delicate chinaware on the precipice of an earthquake, poised to shatter at your feet. You'd plunge to the ground first, anything to soften his impending collapse.
“It’s okay,” you soothe, your voice soft as you grasp his wrist. “Let’s go see her, okay?”
“It's her first time being this sick,” he whispers, clearly distraught, one hand running through his freshly dyed blonde hair.
“It's okay. Don’t panic, it happens. Did you give her medicine?”
“Yes, a few minutes ago,” he replies as you guide him towards her room.
“Good, it'll start working soon,” you reassure, opening the door and crouching before Sowon.
“Hey, Rapunzel,” you coo softly, and Sowon attempts to muster a smile. Her cheeks flush, eyes dim like withered petals.
“How are you feeling?” you ask, pressing your hand to her feverish forehead. You cast a wary glance at Chan, who's anxiously biting his thumb.
“Cold,” she whispers, and you nod, peeling off her blanket. “I know you are, but you have a high fever. We need to let it cool down, okay?”
“I-I’m shaking,” Sowon sighs, lower lip protruding and trembling, both from the iciness clawing at her frail being, and the tears welling in her waterline, like a cup on the brink of overflowing.
“Shh, don't cry. It will pass, it's okay,” you murmur soothingly, cradling her face on your lap, gently moving damp strands of her hair behind her ear.
“Chris, can you bring me a towel and a bowl with cold water?” you ask softly, and the man startles, painfully peeling his eyes away from his daughter, as if doing so would consign her to a dark fate.
“Sure. Sure,” he repeats, scurrying out of the room.
Sowon buries her cheek in your thigh, small hands clinging tightly to yours. You tie her hair up into a loose bun as Chan hurriedly comes back, a bassinet in his hand.
“Thank you,” you smile, as he kneels beside the bed, his hand resting on Sowon’s knee gently.
“Hey sweetheart,” he coos softly, and Sowon blinks at him, light spilling over her face.
“Hey daddy,” she replies as you dip the towel into the water, before squeezing the fabric to remove any liquid excess.
“You're being so strong. I love you so much my pretty girl,” he says, bringing her small hand to rest upon his cheek, bestowing a gentle kiss on her palm.
The moment feels so intimate, so tender, that you almost feel like an intruder. You imagine this is what thorns on roses must feel like, so out of place amid delicate petals and stems.
“I love you too,” she grins, and you remain silent, diligently wiping her face and neck with the dampened towel. You soon lose track of the number of times you've repeated this motion, but Sowon’s eyes are now closed and her body is no longer trembling.
You rest your palm upon her forehead, a sigh of relief escaping your body as you realize that her fever has gone down noticeably- the medicine finally taking effect.
“It's better now,” you smile reassuringly and Chris’s eyes widen, irises shaking as he looks back to his daughter.
“Will she be okay?”
“She will be. She just needs to sleep a bit.”
“Okay, thank you.”
“Can we prepare her something to eat meanwhile?”
“Mm,” he absentmindedly nods, his fingers trailing down Sowon’s features delicately, resting upon her round cheeks.
“She looks just like you,” you softly smile.
“I know,” he admits, not with pride but in surrender, as if his reflection was nothing but a cursed fate. His voice tastes like ocean water, salty, acid, suffocating.
“Chris…” you trail off and he shakes his head, abruptly standing up.
“Let's make her chicken noodle soup. She loves it,” he says and you nod. A ticking bomb resides in his veins, devoid of a countdown, leaving you unsure of when he'll finally explode.
You get your answer soon after—it takes two minutes and thirty-three seconds for the first tear to roll down Chris’s cheek. You spot it as you retrieve carrots from the fridge, averting your gaze as Chan angrily wipes it away.
A few seconds later, five tears follow the same agonizing trail, and now the knife is shaking in Chris’ hands. He squeezes his eyes shut as if frustrated by his pain, by the emotions escaping through the cracks in his heart.
You stay silent, bringing the water to a simmer.
The clank of metal against the counter snaps your attention, and you see Chris with his head lowered down, his hands tightly clutching the counter.
Your tongue moves before you can order it to speak.
“Chris,” you call out, your hand finding its place on his back. An ugly sob escapes his lips, a raw cry unearthed from the depths of the soil where he buried his feelings, never allowing himself the grace of grieving, then moving on.
“I'm a horrible father,” he utters so brokenly as if this idea were cemented into his head, woven into every thought of himself—an adjective that lingers like a phantom each time Sowon calls him dad.
“You're not, what are you saying?” you gently turn him around so he'd face you. But his eyes remain downcast, as if ashamed to meet your gaze.
“I didn't know what to do. I panicked. I-I wasn't enough to help her.”
“It's okay, you can't know everything, you are trying your best-”
“No, no, no, it's not just about this!” he snaps,  despair clinging to his eyes as he finally looks at you. “It’s hard. It’s so hard to be here alone, and I- I try but it's not enough, I can't do everything and I'm not a good enough parent for her, there will a-always be something missing.”
“You're wrong,” you say but he shakes his head in disagreement. “Chris, you're wrong,” you cradle his face, taking you both by surprise. Your thumb swipes gently underneath the skin of his eyes, wiping his cascading tears.
“You love Sowon. And she can feel it, she can see it, she can hear it. Everyone can. A parent can't be perfect, but they should love. And you love her.”
“What if I can't even love her enough for a father? How will I ever fill the role of two parents?” he's leaning onto your palm, hanging onto your every word. You'd sit for hours and untangle every thread of his mind if you have to, until you single out the infested one and burn it away.
“She loves you Chris. She looks at you as if you hang every star in the sky. As if you're responsible for every good thing that happens in our world. She loves you and you love her.”
You gaze up at the ceiling, tears welling in your eyes. Chan notices the subtle tremble in your hand against his cheek.
“If I had someone who loved me as much as you love Sowon when I was a child, I would've turned out so differently,” you smile bitterly, swallowing down the lump in your throat.
“You won't be a perfect dad. You can't be. But she won't grow up with a throbbing heart, pulsating because of a void that cannot be filled. Her veins won't be poisoned by hate and abandonment. Because she knows what it's like to be loved,” you pause, as your voice breaks, traitorous tears rolling down your cheeks. “To be cared for.”
Your eyes hold his in a silent conversation, secretly telling him what your tongue cannot speak of— Sowon, an untarnished blossom, won't unfurl into a solitary flower the way you did.
“I'm sorry,” he whispers after a while, eyes softening in understanding. His knuckles brush gently against your cheek.
“Why are you apologizing?”
“So you'd find a reason within you to forgive,” he says, as he leans forward to press a tender kiss on your forehead. And somehow it feels more intimate than any way you've been touched before.
Five days later.
chris [11:32 p.m.]: you up?
yn [11:32 p.m.]: i just got bad flashbacks to my college years
chris [11:33 p.m.]: ajaksjsbsbbs
chris [11:33 p.m.]: i didn’t mean it like that ㅠㅠ
chris [11:33 p.m.]: wanna come over? i'm in the studio but im not feeling inspired
yn [11:34 p.m.]: and how will i help?
chris [11:34 p.m.]: i find your presence inspiring
You don’t reply, instead putting on your slippers and walking over to his apartment. He opens the door before you even have the chance to knock.
“What are you working on?” you ask once you’re settled atop his chair, spinning around slightly. He looks down at the pillow on his lap, lightly plucking its pink fur. “A song for Sowon,” he admits softly and your eyes grow a little wide.
“That is so sweet,” you pout, inching closer to him. “How is it going?”
“I've finished the melody and now I'm working on the lyrics. There is just.. so much i want to tell her, i'm unsure if ill be able to express it well.”
“Can I read what you wrote?”
“Yeah. Yeah, sure,” he searches through his papers. “Here.”
May these words be the first to find your ears
The world is brighter than the sun now that you're here
I'll give you everything I have
I'll teach you everything I know
I promise I'll do better
I will soften every edge
I'll hold the world to its best
And I'll do better
Tears spring to your eyes unexpectedly, you try to stop their flow but they fall upon the paper, splattering like a broken mosaic, mimicking the brokenness of your own heart.
“I'm sorry,” you spin around, your back to him as you attempt to dry your tears, and yet they show no desire to stop. Chris is in your heart and he’s kicking every other emotion out, forcing you to make amends with your sadness, the one you buried years, years ago.
Chris gently grabs the back of the chair, pulling you back to him before spinning your chair once again until you are facing him. You bury your face in your hands and his rests reassuringly on your knee, squeezing it slightly. “Is it so bad it made you sob?”
“Shut up, you know this isn’t the case.”
His hand delicately traces up your arm, gently lifting your fingers from your face. He kneels before you, his thumb tenderly wiping away the traces of tears on your cheeks.
“Talk to me?”
“It's so beautiful, so warm, so loving. Everything a parent should think of their child,” a traitorous hiccup escapes your lips. “Everything my parents never felt for me.”
Chris’ mouth morphs into a pout, eyebrows scrunching tightly. You shake your head, smoothing down the worried crease between his eyes.
“I don't feel sad over things I can't control and I love myself enough now to compensate for what I didn't have, but sometimes-'' your voice breaks, Chan’s hold on your hands tightens. “It stings to remember what could’ve been.”
Stings was an understatement, it is rather a pulsating void, throbbing in ache every day, calling out for its missing piece. How can I fill you with what was lost when it chose to walk away?
“Come here,” he whispers, coaxing you to your feet, his arms enveloping your body as he guides your head to the crook of his neck. His body runs warm, the material of his sweatshirt soft, and he smells nice too, the contours of his muscles tailor-made to complement the ridges of your own.
“You grew up well, Yn. You did well.”
You clutch his shirt, tightening your grip as you fist the fabric in your palm. He's patting your back, and time slows down to match the rhythm of his touch.
“Love can be hard, I know. Especially when the people who left are the ones supposed to be staying.”
He understands, more than anyone you know. He missed out on a different kind of love too, two facets of the same coin.
“You’re doing well too, Chris. You shouldn’t doubt yourself as much,” your arms trail up to encircle his neck, as his nose tickles your hair. You're the one hugging him now. “Sowon is really smart, she told me that she loves you a lot. She can feel it. She sees everything you do for her.”
“Is that what she told you that movie night?”
“Partly,” you whisper, and Chris leans away slightly, his warm palms still pressed to your waist, holding you close.
“What else did she tell you?” he asks, curiosity barely hidden in his tone.
You pause for a while, eyes going over the entire room before finally locking on him.
“She thanked me, said that I make you smile more.” You suck in a deep breath, gathering your courage. “Do I?”
“There are smile lines that don’t show on my face until you're near.”
“Oh.” That is the only coherent response you can formulate, and Chris giggles, a tiny squeak escaping his lips in a huff. “Cute,” he murmurs, planting a tender kiss on your temple. His lips linger, holding onto the moment a beat longer than necessary, causing your eyes to close in delight. Both of you find yourselves blushing as he leans away, a shared warmth coloring the space between you.
“Sorry, didn't mean to make the mood somber,” you say sheepishly as you sit back down, eyeing Chris’s laptop. “I wanna hear this,” you quickly point to a random track on his screen before he can reply, hoping to make the sadness flee away.
“This one? It’s not really good, let's listen to something else,” his rambling and eagerness to change the track pique your curiosity and you quickly click on the song before he can stop you.
connected.mp3 starts playing.
Sultry beats inundate your ears, weaving through your veins and whisking you away to the pulsating rhythm of a dance club. You knew Chris produced good music, yet you never fathomed that his voice could be so luxuriously rich, cascading over you like molten wax. You feel a blush rise to your cheeks at the suggestive lyrics, the innuendos peeking behind every word. And then, a sudden jealousy claws at your heart, at the thought of Chris hunched in his studio, fantasizing about connecting with someone who isn’t you.
You wished to be the only one Chris liked.
“It’s a- a demo for one of my clients,” he explains through a stutter once the song is done, and you nod meekly, willing your body’s temperature to go down, for the possessivity crinkling in you to fizzle out.
So, you put on your best taunting smirk.
“I know you want me don’t crumble.. No need to be desperate we’re just getting started,” you sing-song back. “You were feeling so cocky when you wrote this, right?” you grin, inching your chair closer to his. “Feeling yourself, Mr. Bang?”
He chuckles with a hint of annoyance, running his tongue along the expanse of his lower lip. Leaning back into his chair, he casually spreads his legs a bit wider, a gesture that suddenly leaves you feeling dizzy, on him.
“It’s cute how affected you seem by it,” he throws nonchalantly, crossing his arms before his chest.
“I'm not,” you smile, although your erratic heartbeat spoke of a different tale, you just didn't need to voice it to him. “I think you were the one getting all hot and bothered in your studio,” you stand between his legs, hovering over him as he leans back fully in his chair.
“I was thinking of a pretty girl.”
“Yeah?”
“Mm,” he suddenly grabs your waist, you feel like your entire body is ablaze. “The prettiest.”
“Who is she?” you exhale, teetering on the edge of crashing your lips onto his, like an incoherent love poem, hastily scrambled on a notebook in a fit of passion.
“y–” The door suddenly opens, Sowon’s small frame standing by the door, she’s rubbing her eyes tiredly, her chick plushie dangling from her hand (a gift from her uncle Felix as she explained to you). You quickly scramble away from Chris as he clears his throat loudly.
“Daddy, I can't sleep,” she says faintly, a tiny pout drawn on her lips, and you can see Chris physically melt at her words, at the way she paddles to his chair, and tries her best to climb up his legs. She fails to do so, so he quickly scopes her up his arms until she’s buried in his hold. Her small hands wound up around his neck, and he tenderly pats down her hair, his gaze never wavering from her frame.
“Want me to sing to you, sweetheart?”
“Yes,” she whispers, before making grabby hands at you, your heart softens like clay dough as you scoot closer, enclosing her fingers in your hold.
“Sleep well, Sowonnie,” you whisper.
“Can’t you stay with us?” she asks and you feel your blood freeze in your veins, your heart skipping three beats at once.
To stay. What a frightening concept. Even more scary when you realize that you aren’t opposed to it.
You yearn to stay, for the first time in years, you wish you could.
You swallow the growing lump in your throat, before smiling reassuringly. “I'll stay till you fall asleep.”
Conditions, it is the way it has always been for you. staying till you’re no longer useful, staying till you're no longer wanted. Staying, but always with a time limit, always with an expiration date.
iv.
You’re avoiding him.
Chris knows you are, since you no longer come over to his house, claiming that you’re tired, or that you have an important order to bake for the next day. He would have believed you had he not seen you only once in the past three weeks.
Those were excuses, and each one of them weighed heavily on Chris’ heart, on his home too, his studio particularly, the one that got used to the sound of your laugh.
He misses you. He never thought he’d miss someone again, craving you presence as if every breath leaving his body depended on you. He wasn’t a stranger to intimacy, fleeting hookups every now and then. Strangers invited him to their bed, knowing what they were signing up for– one night of pleasure, never to be seen again, their faces blurring into an indistinct mass in his mind, like an impressionist painting where no features stand out. Yet, with you, every detail is etched in his memory.
He could pick you out of a crowded room, recognize the delicate curve of your neck, the fullness of your lips, and the way your nose scrunches when you smile.
He could draw the moles scattered on your body from memory alone, recognize your scent from miles away– your cotton shampoo and the specific laundry detergent you love to use and a hint of vanilla that never truly leaves you.
He’d remember the curve of your lashes and the cascading of your hair, the airy giggles you leave across like a trail for him to follow everywhere, and your eyes– the way they gazed at him, softening slightly around the edges, shining brightly as if crafted from stardust, the way they softened even more when you looked at Sowon, voice growing slightly high pitched as you listened to his daughter’s rambles.
How did you manage to make his home yours without ever living in it?
“Dad?” Sowon calls out and he snaps his head up, locking eyes with his little girl. She’s sitting on a high stool, munching on her pizza, a pensive look on her face.
“Yes, sweetheart?” he asks, walking over to her side.
“Where is Ynnie?” she asks in a small voice and he freezes, mulling over his response. He settles for the truth.
“I don't know, baby.”
“Does she not want to play with me anymore?” Sowon whispers, and he doesn’t remember his daughter ever being this tentative about voicing a question.
“No!” he's quick to reassure, cradling Sowon’s face between his much larger hands. “Of course not baby she loves you a lot.”
“Okay…” she nods, a small pout drawn on her lips still. Chris senses his heart physically crack in his chest.
“Do you wanna work in the studio with me?” he says in a joyful tone, and she instantly cheers up, the twinkle in her eyes found again. “Yes!”
“Finish your food first, okay Wonnie?”
“Okay!”
In Chris's life, regrets have been scarce, and certainly not in the form of Sowon, his beacon of hope, as he named her. Having her was beholding a sun wherever he went. However, a fear lingers, a whisper in his heart, suggesting that letting you go might be his one true regret.
So when his daughter falls asleep, he knocks on your door once again. He's suddenly transported into that cold night, months ago, where he asked you for flour. Had he known you were behind it he would’ve knocked much sooner.
“Hi,” you greet softly once you open the door. He takes a step forward, his wolf slippers matching with Sowon’s bump into your plain ones. You avert your gaze, finding anything but him to fixate on.
“You're avoiding me,” he says matter-of-factly, voice soft, resigning to you.
“I'm not,” you contradict, even as your eyes remain on the ground. He finds himself missing the color of your irises.
“Look at me, hm?” he implores, and you stay rooted in place. A soft sigh escapes him as he cradles your right cheek with his warm hand, his thumb gently sweeping across your cheekbone. “Yn, please, I want to look at you.”
Maybe it is the pleading tone of his voice or the way his thumb tenderly grazes your skin, but something about Chris makes your resolve unravel, threads of fear unknotting before your eyes. So, you finally look at him. An exhale of relief escapes him.
And then you speak.
“You asked me if I was okay, and I didn't reply, back then,” you say, leaning your head further against his palm as tears well up in your waterline. “Do you still want to know my answer?”
“Of course, always.”
“I'm happy. With you, with sowon. I feel this warmth that I have never known before when I'm with you. It was almost easy to forget I've known you during winter,” you chuckle dryly, “but it is all an illusion, I lie to myself thinking I could stay, I… I can't, I-“
“What if I ask you to stay?” he brings your hand to his heart, where it beats erratically, pulse seeping through your skin.
He’s as scared as you are.
“Chris…”
“What if I told you, Yn, please stay with me,” he breathes out, guiding your hand to gently cup his cheek. “Would you? Would you stay?”
“I'm terrified,” you whisper, as he tilts his head, bestowing a tender kiss on your palm.
“I know, so am I. But, you make me believe that even my bruised parts are worthy of love.”
He wins, before years of skeletons and piled up doubts, he wins.
“Okay.”
“Okay?”
“I'm staying.”
“You are?”
“I am,” you giggle lightly and he staggers back, the sun pouring into his smile.
“Um, wow, okay. Thank you for staying,” his voice sounds airy, happiness floating in his tone, and you find it contagious, imprinting into your own.
“Thank you for asking me to stay.”
“You made it less daunting,” he pats your head, smoothing your hair down. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too.”
He giggles in response and you can't help but mirror the sound. “Why are you so nervous?”
“Whaaat? I'm not,” his tone grows high-pitched and you roll your eyes amusedly.
“What happened to connected Chris?”
“He is flustered by the girl he wrote about.”
Your cheeks tint red as he places a hand above your head, caging you in place.
“I think the girl should get paid for being the muse.”
“Oh yeah?” he smirks, “I'll think about it.” His grin softens, as a content expression washes over his face. You know you must look the same. “Let's talk more tomorrow, okay?”
“Okay,” you grin, before placing a chaste kiss on his cheek. “Good night, Chris.”
“Good night, yn.”
You quietly watch as he walks to his apartment door, his hand settling on the door knob. He pauses, for a few seconds where the air around you stills, before swiveling around and walking over to you again.
you win.
“I forgot something,” he breathes out, before crashing his lips onto yours, furiously, as if needing to imprint his essence onto you, tainting your soul the way you have tainted him, permanently altering the composition of his being. His lips move on yours as if they've done this before, a dance they have rehearsed countless times, perhaps in all the dreams Chris visited you in. Yet, nothing compares to how it feels to have him touch you, lick your lower lip and drag his hand up your hips, press you against your apartment door, and nibble at your neck.
Nothing could have prepared you for the passion he shows you, for how delicious it feels to be pressed against him, for the storm that your lips conjure, swirling in your heart in vibrant shades of red. Then, for the softness of his lips as they slow down their course, plump and rosy as they meet your own, tenderly, more gently, one kiss after the other. “My hope,” he whispers, as his lips find yours again, “my missing piece.”
He’s hot and cold, in yet seeking no out, finally yours.
bonus (one year later).
“So I brought the eggs, milk, sugar,” Chris enumerates as he takes out the groceries, and you turn to look at Sowon to find her already gazing at you, a mischievous look on her face.
“How much do you wanna bet he forgot flour?” you whisper and she giggles, burying her face in her hands to stifle her laugh.
“And… Wait, where is the flour?” he trails off and you burst out laughing, as you and Sowon high-five each other excitedly.
“Daddy, you are really bad at groceries.”
“Am I?” he smiles sheepishly, fiddling with his earlobe in a manner that still makes your heart melt, renders your insides butterflies speaking of Chris’ name.
“Yes, it’s good Mom bought it,” she says naturally, looking down at her iPad. You and Chris freeze in your tracks, eyes instantly locking with one another, yours and his, glossy with emotion, a loving tide enveloping you both.
It's her first time calling you mom.
You swallow down the lump in your throat, crafted not by thorns but by petals, not by ache but with love, before placing your chin on the small of her shoulder, murmuring softly. "Mm, will you help me bake, baby?"
“Yes! I wanna be a baker when I grow up, just like you.”
“What happened to being a stylist?”
“I can't be both?” she frowns innocently.
“You can be anything you want, princess.” you bop her nose and she giggles, pressing a sweet kiss to your cheek.
In the grip of winter, Chris discovers a warmth that defies the season, casting off years of cold from the recesses of his bones. A soft smile graces his lips as he gazes at you, his hopes, his girls, the three of you clad in wolf slippers.
He’ll propose to you tomorrow.

CHAN:
You hadn’t even meant to overhear the conversation the boys were having but you had and ever since you’d distanced yourself from Chan, giving him space, major space even. You'd stopped showing up at the dorms after work and you stopped going to spend time with Chan at the studios on your days off. You didn't want to be around him if you were too clingy, or overbearing to him and you panicked.
"You're ignoring me and I hate it," Chan said bluntly as he sat across from you at the cafe you would frequent. You forced yourself to look up from the book you'd been trying to read and frowned seeing him standing there.
"What?" You were sure he was supposed to be in practice right now and yet here he was panting and staring at you.
"You're ignoring me, did I do something wrong?" His voice broke as he pulled out a chair and sat down across from you,
"What? No...N-No, I'm just giving you space." You smiled weakly, shutting your book and looking up at him. You didn't want to get into this in the middle of a cafe but you also didn't want to go back to the dorms with him and risk another comment from Seungmin.
"When have I ever said I needed space?" He chuckled at you but you didn't find any of this funny, you were a little stressed that he didn't see you the same way you saw yourself right now.
"You haven't but I realise how overbearing I am right now-"
"What are you talking about?" His hand clasped yours in his grip and he ran his thumb over your skin, your heart picking up as you let out a small whimper.
"Seungmin said he never sees us apart and I realised how tiring that must be for you." You shrugged, trying to take your hand back but Chan gripped you a little tighter,
"Yn." He whispered, his voice laced with sympathy,
"I'm sorry if I'm too much sometimes, I just...I like spending time with you." Tears were beginning to roll down your cheeks even though you hadn't meant to cry, everything you'd been bottling up finally overflowing,
"And I love spending time with you, it doesn't matter what Seungmin said." He mumbled, moving to the spot right next to you and wrapping his arm around your shoulder.
"Let's go home, okay? I missed you and I have some cuddling with you to catch up on." He smirked a little making your whole body heat as you nodded at him, quickly kissing his cheek.
MINHO:
After you'd heard Chan say to Minho that you were "Around each other all the time." you'd stopped going around as much. It wasn't anything personal but you didn't want to be too much for Minho, or the others. You worried they'd find you annoying if you were too clingy with your boyfriend and so you took some steps back.
"Yn? I know you can hear me...Just talk to me, did I do something wrong?" Minho pleaded through the door of your apartment. You hadn't responded to him all day and he was beginning to worry you were in a fight without him realising you were in a fight.
"I'm going to use the emergency key if you don't answer." He warned before you sighed, unlocking the door and stepping to the side to let him in.
"Are you sick? Did we have a fight and I didn't notice?" He laughed weakly as he made his way to your sofa and sat down, a clear sign that he wasn't going to go anywhere any time soon so you shut the door and sat across from him.
"No."
"So then what's going on?" He hated overthinking and that was all he'd managed to do ever since you'd disappeared on him and gone quiet.
"I'm giving you some space." You offered as if he'd asked for it but he frowned, shaking his head,
"Space? Why?"
"I feel like I'm overbearing sometimes and I worry I'm around you too much." You'd been overthinking it ever since you'd heard Chan and now you worried if you came on too strong with Minho he'd leave.
"Baby, I enjoy spending time with you." He reached out to touch you but you shifted away from him.
"I know you say that but I feel like I'm too clingy and I should just give you some space."
"But I don't need that, I need my beautiful and amazing partner by my side, always." He whispered as you sniffled a little, tears running down your cheeks as you stared back at him,
"I just don't want you to think I'm smothering you." As soon as he heard you say that he dragged you onto the sofa beside him,
"You could never smother me, if there was ever an issue we would talk about it, don't pull away from me." He begged, his hand running over your cheek as he rid your face of the tears,
"Okay..."
"Trust me, baby, we're good." He tells you as he wraps you in the tightest hug he could manage, your body relaxing a little as you finally felt close to him again.
CHANGBIN:
"I never see you two without each other." The words had seemed so casual coming from Minho's lips and yet you suddenly felt as though your whole world was coming apart around you.
"Yn? You going home?" Changbin frowned as he walked into his bedroom to find you packing up your things. After you'd heard Minho you knew it was time to give Changbin some space.
"I thought you were staying here tonight."
"Yeah, I just, I thought I should give you some space." You shrugged it off, doing your best to stay as calm and rational as possible but your mind kept going back to your past relationships. Whenever you got too clingy things would go sideways and they'd split with you and you didn't want that with Changbin.
"Space?" He frowned and stood beside you,
"I've been clingy lately and I don't want to smother you, so I'm going to head home." You folded up your last bit of clothing but Changbin was just as confused as he was when he started this conversation
"Smother me? Yn, you could never smother me...Where is this coming from?" He put his hand on your shoulder trying to make you look at him but you didn't, you knew if you did you'd give up and stay all night.
"I just worry that I'm always around and it's probably too much for you. I don't want to be that kind of a partner to you."
"Yn." He stilled your hands on your bag,
"I love having you around, you make everything better and you're not too much." He hated that you could ever think such a thing when he thought the entire world of you,
"But in my last relationships, things were too much and I don't want to end up pushing you away." You whispered, your voice cracking a little as Changbin held your face in his hands.
"I get that, but we're different. Okay? I don't want you to distance yourself from me because of some bonehead in the past." You stare at him a little unsure of what to do.
"We can spend the night here and then you'll see how much I need you around." He whispered as you nodded a little, your cheeks heating as he kissed you softly.
HYUNJIN:
Hyunjin knew that there was something wrong the moment you'd stopped replying to him over text and then when you cancelled most of your plans he knew he had to do something to make you feel better.
"What...What are you doing here?" You questioned your boyfriend as you walked into your apartment to see him cooking for you.
"You're home early, damn, this was supposed to be done for when you came in." He brushed his hands down his apron and hugged you tightly, you hugged him back but frowned at him.
"What was?"
"Dinner." He gestured to the oven behind him which was filled with food.
"I noticed you were being distant and I wanted to come over and do something nice for you." He smiled warmly but you just felt guilty that he'd come all the way out here to do this for you.
"Is everything okay?" He asked as he went back to stirring whatever it was on the hob but you looked down at the floor. Everything was fine until Changbin mentioned that he never saw you apart from one another and you realised you needed to give Hyunjin space.
"I'm just worried I might be too clingy...or overbearing," You shrugged, scratching the back of your neck as Hyunjin froze.
"Clingy and overbearing? What would give you that thought?" He stopped what he was doing, moving the food off the heat.
"I love our time together," He added, worry started to seep into him as he thought about it.
"I know you say that now but I don't want you to feel suffocated or that I'm always around." Within seconds Hyunjin was in front of you and frowning,
"Yn, being with you is the best part of my day, you're never suffocating to me." He smiled a little.
"But we're never apart and I don't want you to get sick of me." You sniffled a little but Hyunjin kissed you softly, wrapping his arms around you.
"If there is one thing in this world I can promise you, it's that I would neve ever get sick of you." He explained, you hesitated for a second a little unsure of what to do but you smiled weakly.
"You're sure?" You quizzed before he nodded, kissing your cheek.
"We can talk more over dinner, but I promise you I don't want or need you to put space between us," He told you, kissing the top of your head and going back to cooking.
JISUNG:
Ever since last week, Jisung had noticed something changing with you and he was beginning to worry he'd done something that might have upset you. Even now as you walked together on the beach he could sense something was wrong. You weren't holding his hand or onto his arm like you usually would and you weren't asking him to go on rides with you or to play some fair games when you would pass by them.
"Is everything okay? With us...I mean." He usually wasn't upfront with his feelings but ever since the two of you had started seeing one another he'd been getting better at it,
"Yeah." It was obviously a lie and Jisung frowned at you, stopping still and making you look at him.
"What's going on?" He stared at you and you knew he wasn't going to stop asking unless you told him the truth which worried you more than you cared to admit.
"Do you think we're around each other too much?" You finally asked making Jisung's eyebrows knit together in a frown.
"No? Why?" He shook his head at you but you looked away from him,
"It was something Felix mentioned...T-That we're never apart and I worry that-"
"You're clingy?" He finished for you and you nodded a little before he sighed and kissed your cheek.
"You're not clingy at all, you know I love having you around right?" He stares at you and smiles a little.
"You make me feel less anxious, you make me feel like a whole other person when I'm with you and I never want space." He told you simply, bringing you into his arms and smiling as you cuddled into him.
"You promise you'll come to me in the future if you start to worry again?" He quizzed and you nodded your head, kissing him quickly as you continued your walk on the beach front.
FELIX:
As you rounded the corner of your apartment building you frowned finding Felix standing there knocking on your door.
"Felix? I thought we cancelled tonight." You said as you walked closer to him but something was off, you could see he'd been crying and it instantly made you worry.
"Are we okay? Are you breaking up with me?" He sniffled, you quickly ushered him into your apartment not wanting to get any unwanted attention from your neighbours and you shut the door.
"Breaking up? What? No." You mumbled shaking your head at him.
"You've been so distant and then J-Jisung said it meant you were going to break things off with me."
"Jisung is wrong." You grumbled, you and Jisung weren't exactly seeing eye to eye after you'd heard him mention to Felix how clingy you were.
"So then what's going on? Did I do something to upset you?"
"No, Lix." You sighed sitting next to him on the sofa.
"I overheard Jisung talk about me and he mentioned how we're never apart and I just...I thought I was giving you space." You shrugged it off and Felix sighed, clearly frustrated.
"I'm sorry you heard him say that but....for the record, I assure you that I don't find you clingy...I love you so much," He smiled warmly at you but you looked down at the floor.
"I don't want to be a burden," Your head was slowly tilted up to look at Felix and you smiled weakly.
"You're not a burden, Yn. I'll talk to Jisung and clear this up but don't let his dumb words affect us," He told you sternly before kissing you softly and standing up.
"Where are you going?" You frowned as he stretched a little,
"To talk to Jisung."
"No. Stay and cuddle I missed you," You laughed, dragging him back to you, he could talk to Jisung another time, right now it was just you and him.
SEUNGMIN:
Seungmin hadn't always been the best at expressing himself when it came to your relationship but he always felt as though he'd done a pretty good job up until now. Now he had no idea what was wrong and if he'd done something to upset you since you'd just distanced yourself from him.
"Seungmin? What are you doing here?" You whispered as you turned around to find your boyfriend in your office, somewhere he shouldn't have been if he didn't want to get noticed. You quickly shut and locked your door, pulling the blinds down.
"I had to see you, we've barely spent any time together."
"I've been busy." You lied looking down at the floor but Seungmin wasn't going to take some bullshit for an excuse he needed to know what was going on.
"You've been acting distant for weeks, what's going on?"
"I just figured you needed some space." Seungmin waited for you to say something else but when you didn't he frowned even more at you.
"Why would I need space?" He stared down at you as you sat at your desk,
"I've been a little annoying and clingy lately and I didn't want to keep bothering you."
"When have you ever bothered me? Where would you even get such an idea?" He sat across from you and narrowed his eyes a little, he was like a human lie detector and you knew you wouldn't be able to hide anything from him.
"Jeongin mentioned how we're never apart and I just- I thought you might get annoyed with me." You explained before Seungmin stared at you as though you had a second head.
"Baby, you're not annoying, you never could be...ever, I don't ever want you to feel like that." He moved quickly to kneel by your side and he took your hands in his, kissing them softly.
"I love you...Okay? You're important to me and I want us to be able to talk if things ever bother us," He offered and you nodded, quickly kissing him and smiling to yourself.
"I promise to come to you in the future," He nodded and kisses you again, deeper this time,
JEONGIN:
It was a quiet night in until Jeongin showed up at your door, usually Friday nights were reserved for the two of you to spend time together but you'd been acting differently lately and it was starting to worry him. Especially tonight when you cancelled on him seemingly to do nothing at home.
"You're acting weird and I'm worried," Jeongin explained as he stood in your apartment, you refused to look at him instead choosing to stare at the TV with a drama playing on it.
"Yn, talk to me." He begged as he sat across from you on the coffee table. Sighin you looked at him, you hesitated in telling him everything but you knew he'd never leave if you didn't spill your guts to him.
"I'm sorry if I've been distant...I just-" You sighed, you didn't even know where to start with any of this.
"You have nothing to be sorry for. I just want to understand what's going on. Is something or someone bothering you?" He stared at you with concern written all over his face and you sighed,.
"Lately I've just been feeling like maybe I'm too clingy and then I heard Minho mention that we're never apart and it just...it drove home what I was already feeling," You mumbled, playing with the sleeves of your shirt as jeongin stared at you.
"Clingy? You're not clingy at all, nowhere near." He mumbled, quickly moving to sit beside you.
"I don't know, I heard what Minho said and then at work, I heard people talking about their relationships and I just...I thought I was being a burden." Jeongin reached out and took your hands in his.
"You're not and never will be a burden to me, Yn. I love you and want you in my life."
"I don't want to ever smoother you or make you feel trapped with me." You added and he smiled at you,.
"Okay, but communication is key. Shutting me out and putting space between us won't let us fix what's going on. We need to talk it through together." He squeezed your hands a little and you nodded, you knew he was right deep down and you kissed him softly.
"I promise to talk if anything bothers me again," You whispered before the two of you cuddled together on the sofa for a while.
