((Minor profanity warning))
Oh! Hold on since we're talking about World Tour, you could make Barb's invasion a pretty pivotal moment for everyone if you play the cards right.
World Tour happens only a few months after the first movie, at most, so there hasn't really been time for the Borrowers to fully integrate with the rest of the village. Sure, they've moved into the village and everything but, in terms of expectations and how things are run, it's like they're two separate tribes inhabiting the same place.
So when Poppy and Branch leave Kismet and the Snack Pack every one take it as Kismet in charge of the Borrowers and The Pack in charge of the Forest Trolls. This leads to all of the Borrower trolls making it into the Tunnels (Minus a few defenders and a couple caretakers who jumped in to rescue a group of trollings) but only the Snack Pack and a handful of Forest Pop trolls were able to make it without being snatched. The snack pack goes off to infiltrate the rock concert like they do in Canon, leaving the Borrowers in charge.
The entire tribe, either in cells, tunnels, or otherwise, were all left to think. Pondering the question of "why now?". For the first time in centuries they were all free and they did it on their own. What right did any of these other trolls have to claim Their happiness. They were left to rot in that cage for centuries, over what? A couple Pieces of string? And now this spoiled rich kid thinks she has ANY right to Lecture THEM about "real world problems"? Even separated the entire tribe is unified under the banner of "Fuck this. Fuck Barb and Fuck the Strings." Pop trolls always get back up and this time? They're coming back swinging.
(TL;DR: The whole tribe gets a chance to be feral. As a treat.)

With no specific ship in mind but
Imagine how easy it must be to get Branch flustered and cutely confused after so many years of not getting a truly kind or flattering think said to him.
Someone compliments his eyes (either the color, shape or other) and he blushes like a schoolgirl getting her first kiss
Or someone compliments his strength or knowledge and he's so confused because why are you being this kind and why am I feeling warm and fuzzy?
The possibilities are endless and I might expand on this later

reddit keeps sending me to a subreddit all about complaining abt taylor swift and like. i don't believe in ethical billionaires and i think she's not a good person and i disagree with a lot of her actions. but man you guys are not winning the "we are not misogynists" war when every other post is just "lol she sucks at singing and her clothes are ugly and i hate her hair and all she does is whine and complain" with no actual critique of like. her actions. the way she treats her fans. her constant money grabbing. her reliance on a thin shield of performative feminism without even the most basic speaking up to back it. her refusal to acknowledge genocide. her refusal to back down on her personal impact on climate change re her private jet usage. saying lol she's ugly is not the same as those things and you are not cool for saying it.
#i just. there are so many things to complain about with her rn.#her overexposure. the money grab that is the variants#the chart manipulation. the way she treats other artists#especially young female artists she perceives as a threat#the way she's handled things like the vienna threats and the death of Ana Clara Benevides Machado#she's manipulative and slef-focused while pretending to be selfless#she acts like any critique of her even those that have merit and are based in fact#are just attacks based on her gender#she acts like her status as a literal billionaire white woman extremely popular pop star#doesn't give her any privelage#but none of that has anything to do with. her sense of style (i think her outfits are fun)#i think she has a nice voice and most of her lyrics (discounting the last two albums which are. bad to me.)#are good! she's a good storyteller and her music might be basic in terms of musical theory but it's pretty#she doesn't have a huge range and by god is it obvious this tour is hurting her voice#but her voice is nice#you are all just. mean. and unproductive. and absolutely not proving the swifties wrong. you are critiquing her#for things that have nothing to do with what she actually does that is wrong or gross or bad#who cares if she wants to wear a sexy outfit? who cares if it's not your personal taste? it's clothes and she can do what she wants#anyway. this post brought to you by somebody who does not like taylor swift but does think people take the hate too far in a bad way

Traveling Responsibly: Supporting Local Communities and Cultures
Travel is more than just visiting new destinations—it’s about connecting with people, learning from their way of life, and leaving a positive impact. Responsible travel, or ethical tourism, is a growing movement encouraging travelers to support local communities and preserve cultural heritage. Here’s how you can embrace responsible travel on your next adventure.
Tumblr media
1. Stay in Locally Owned Accommodations
Choosing locally owned hotels, guesthouses, or homestays is a simple way to support the local economy. These businesses often reinvest their earnings into the community, creating jobs and promoting sustainable development. Plus, staying with locals provides authentic cultural experiences you won’t find in chain hotels.
2. Dine at Local Restaurants and Markets
Skip international fast-food chains and savor the flavors of your destination by eating at locally owned restaurants or food markets. Not only will you enjoy fresh, authentic meals, but your money will also directly benefit local farmers, chefs, and vendors.
3. Shop for Ethical Souvenirs
When buying souvenirs, look for handmade, locally crafted products instead of mass-produced items. Fair-trade shops or artisan markets are excellent places to find unique, high-quality goods while ensuring that the artisans are fairly compensated. Avoid purchasing items made from endangered species or cultural artifacts.
4. Support Local Tour Operators
Book tours and activities with locally owned operators who hire guides from the area. These companies often provide better insights into the culture and traditions of the community. They’re also more likely to respect the environment and contribute to local conservation efforts.
5. Learn About Local Customs and Traditions
Before visiting, take time to learn about the cultural norms, history, and traditions of your destination. Respect local customs, dress modestly when required, and ask for permission before taking photos of people or sacred sites. A little cultural sensitivity goes a long way in fostering mutual respect.
6. Volunteer Responsibly
Volunteering while traveling can be incredibly rewarding, but it’s important to do it ethically. Choose organizations that genuinely benefit the community and avoid programs that exploit vulnerable groups, such as orphanage tourism. Focus on activities that align with your skills and contribute sustainably.
7. Reduce Your Environmental Impact
Responsible travel isn’t just about supporting communities—it’s also about protecting the environment. Travel lightly by reducing waste, carrying a reusable water bottle, and avoiding single-use plastics. Choose eco-friendly transportation options like biking, walking, or public transit whenever possible.
8. Attend Cultural Events
Participating in cultural events, festivals, or workshops is a fun and meaningful way to support local traditions. These experiences often provide direct economic benefits to communities while allowing you to immerse yourself in their way of life.
9. Spread Awareness Through Storytelling
When you return home, share your experiences to inspire others to travel responsibly. Highlight the beauty of the culture, the kindness of the people, and the importance of supporting local communities. Social media and blogs are powerful tools for promoting ethical tourism.
10. Give Back Where You Can
Consider donating to local organizations or initiatives that support education, healthcare, or conservation in the communities you visit. Even small contributions can have a significant impact when directed to the right causes.
Why Responsible Travel Matters
Travel has the power to transform both travelers and the places they visit. By choosing to travel responsibly, you can help preserve cultural heritage, protect the environment, and uplift communities. Responsible tourism isn’t just a trend—it’s a conscious effort to make the world a better place through thoughtful actions.

The Rojas - Mendez Ranch 🇲🇽🐎
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now that Esmeralda is finally here, I thought it’d be cool to give y’all an exterior tour of the Rojas Mendez ranch. 🎩 tip to the beautiful build from (Origin ID: Bookdragon4ever) , it took me three weeks while I was waiting for the horse ranch pack to renovate it in the style of the Rojas Mendes family, but it was worth it.
Tumblr media
In my mind, I pictured what their ancestral home would look like and incorporated those features into the ranch.
Tumblr media
There’s a second house to the left of the main where the ranch hands stay during the busy season. There are extra beds when they need to hire extra help, as well as extra room for storage.
Tumblr media
The ranch hand quarters lead straight into the courtyard, which lets them stay close to the horses.
Tumblr media
Behind the quarters are the stables where their horses, Tialoc & La Llorona live. On the other side is the training area where they can stretch their legs, play and train.
Tumblr media
Definitely one of my favorite places; the back courtyard of the main house is perfect for barbecues, and a popular spot in the warmer weather. It leads right to Isamar’s garden, but you’ll see more of that pretty soon in the next Rojas - Mendez posts.
I’ll be showing off more of the house soon; I don’t wanna show too much because I want you to enjoy it organically as the story unfolds.
Hope you enjoyed it!
🖤🤘🏾

I love that building. Even without any show inside it, it's still alive, it's still so vibrant it makes my heart ache.
My very first Punchdrunk experience - my visit to Sleep No More, the random decision that would change my life - I spent a lot of time exploring the set. I was enchanted by it, and hardly paid any attention to the characters. When Punchdrunk came closer to home, I thought that would be my main way of engaging with the show, spending lots of time exploring and rummaging and just existing in this imagined space. But over time I found the characters and the story happening all around me much more alluring, ever changing, endless rewatch value. Then I had less time for letters and clues and taking the time to slow down and appreciate the world.
But I still loved it. I still noticed when a new layer of graffiti was put on the walls, when a new sign was installed, when they gave the palace a writing desk complete with tiny, exquisitely detailed, custom MYCENAE stamps.
The way businesses around Troy had custom printed matchbooks. The way the prices were all in Drachma. The scents that became a fingerprint of the show, the posters whose designs carpet the inside of my mind.
Even without the soundscape, even without the gods and mortals racing through its alleys, this city is alive. This world is beautiful.
