Some screencaps from finishing the game this past holiday! Hadn't been able to complete it because of comp issues, so it was nice to finally actually play through the thing lol. I admire all the little details that are easy to walk past. Hopefully the folks making the game had a fun time with it all

I couldn't make a lot of them out (like Stormriders), and missed Roddy's cover entirely while screenshoting! :( But I managed to get the bulk of the collection. It’s a rant :)

I think I have read Solitaire by Alice Oseman a good 20000 times by now. 

You can’t blame me though, it is an amazing piece of literature and I seem to have found solace in its tragic storytelling. 

It has been a while since I’ve posted anything, no one has read it, but is that really the point? I just seem to exist on this plane and yeah. I found an analysis I did of “The World Is Ugly” by My Chemical Romance, total red flag. 7th grade me was an absolute trainwreck. 

I spend 4ish hours a couple weeks ago on my ranking of Taylor Swift’s albums, and my big three are Speak Now, 1989, and Folklore. Not surprising - I grew up on Speak Now, 1989 was a major gift to 10 year old me, and Folklore is my comfort album honestly.

Honestly, I’m considering just putting my name on this blog, make it more personal. Why not? We’re all going to die at some point, might as well name my own diary that’s floating through space and time.

I want to dye my hair dark, it’ll be the second ever time in my 18 years of existence that I have dyed my hair.

My best friend graduated high school this last weekend. I’m so proud of her.

I am always nauseated but I can’t tell if thats because of my F in French or my long-lasting duel with diet culture and societal pressures.

The current song in my Delta-complimentary-headphones is Friend, Please by Twenty One Pilots for no other reason than middle school nostalgia and I am attempting to be an academic weapon (I graduate in less than 20 days and I am having a breakdown about it).

I think that my English teacher is going clinical- she is actually having us use ChatGPT to create a fiction story. Is that not what Hollywood is currently striking? The use of AI in the world of Creative Arts? It’ll be okay, Kai Stormrider (the guardian in this AI-generated mess) will guide me to a hopeful A- at the end of the semester. 

Middle school me would absolutely bully Senior year me for using tumblrdotcom to procrastinate a French assignment that I am literally using google translate for. But hey *shrug* we’re on a floating rock.

I accidentally told one of my ?friend’s? that she dumbs herself down for her boyfriends, but I meant she chooses dumb boys to fall head-over-heels for.

I think she’s going to block me.

In Instagram group chats, I send similar messages to this, but I get told that they are “schizophrenic monologues”... can they not just be me recapping the conversation you asked for a recap on? Must it always be something that requires a diagnosis?

I feel like I should be crying as I write this, but I can’t.

My crying wrapped that I have on Google Forms sits unused this evening, with a total of 36 cries so far that I can remember having this year. It has been 142 days since the year has started. I have spent 25% of this year crying. I thought it was less.

The song has changed- it is now March to the Sea, also by Twenty One Pilots. 

I think Tori Spring was written for me. About me. To me. I feel so similar to her it’s crazy. 

Why do we just write out the full words of “I can not” instead of “I can’t” when we write about period pieces - they used other words. “I mustn’t” for example, still a conjugation, but they used it.

I started another chapstick today. Not because I ran out of my other, but simply because I lost it.

I’ll find it some day. Will I find myself in the way I will inevitably find my vanilla Burt’s Bees?

Last weekend, I went on a vacation from school for a bit. To go see my best friend as she graduates from high school. It was nice to feel wanted.

Probably Pollyanna from the Mother vocal album. I love every track on there, but Pollyanna just. Gets to me. A song about no matter how bad things are, there's hope. Things might get better.

Alterverse Characters #1

Taking a break from BNHA OCs to expand on my ones for other fandoms. Starting first with an original one.

Queenie Huang | Dianite: Splendor's (Joou Takarano) Alternate. Resident rich girl of the group but also an ice queen. She is of Chinese and Kenyan descent. Before finding out she was a Metahuman, she lived the dream; had a wealthy and loving family, was on the debate team, straight A student. Queenie had it all before she was attacked by The Hand and given to the Heroes Association. 

Her powers include technopathy, metal mimicry, and metal manipulation.

Stormy Uchiyama | Stormrider: Stormchaser's (Sorami Inoue) Alternate. She's still not over finding out she's a Metahuman and having to be taken away from her own parents for her safety - still grieving the loss of all she held dear even with her older brother and cousins there to comfort her. She is Japanese and Rwandan mixed.

Her power is personal weather which allows her to generate her own personal weather patterns and phenomena based on her emotions.

Shawn Tanaka | Energizer: Chargeman's (Shukara Inoue) Alternate. Shawn is Japanese-American. He enjoys his new life in the Heroes Association because he gets to do as many sports as he pleases, particularly wrestling. He has a huge crush on Stormy and always makes his feelings for her known.

His powers include energy manipulation, energy mimicry, and superhuman strength.

Allen Diaz | Digger: Demoman's Alternate. Allen is Japanese and Filipino mixed. Unlike most of his colleagues, Allen is actually glad that he's away from his parents because he feels like him having powers is a curse that will bring his family nothing but pain and suffering (even though his parents are accepting of their son being a Metahuman).

His powers include earth manipulation, drilling, and jackhammer motion.

Ravi Bergstrom | Deep Chill: Jack Frost's Alternate. Ravi is of mixed Indian and Swedish descent. His older brother actually is a hero and works at the Heroes Association so he doesn't have a lot to worry about. One of Ravi's biggest dreams is to be a private investigator for all things Metahuman.

His powers are ice and water manipulation.

Joao Oliveira | Shadow Ink: InkStain's Alternate. Joao is mixed with Afro-Brazilian and Vietnamese. They're not too worried about not being with their family anymore, they know that they'll all be reunited one day. In the meantime, he writes songs and works on his guitar playing to one day form his own band. He has a huge crush on Queenie.

Their powers include sound, ink, and darkness manipulation. He also has a sonic scream.

Brandon Vega | Phantom: Hades's Alternate. He's Filipino-American. Much like Ravi, Brandon's cousins work for the Heroes Association so he really has nothing to worry about in the family department. What he is worried about, however, are his uncontrollable powers and the presence of The Hand. Not to mention that he's next in line to a Demon hunting guild.

His powers include probability manipulation, pryokinesis, telepathy, and black magic.

Rosita Choi | Nature Girl: Persephone's Alternate. She's Venezuelan and Korean. Determined to make the best of her new life and her Metahuman powers, Rosi invites the others to go on picnics and other outdoor activities with her. She has a crush on Brandon.

Her powers include plant manipulation, animal communication, and plant mimicry.

Tamira Musa | Dreamer: Sweet Dream's Alternate. She's Nigerian-American. She's become quite adjusted to her new situation and has made a few friends with the other girls. She knows that she'll be safe from harm by The Hand. Tamira seems to have caught the attention of a vigilante named Nightmare.

Her powers include dream manifestation, phasing, flight, and telekinesis.

Even in the closed door quarters of her room, Juliette could hear a pin drop out in those metal halls.

Troopers heading to bed chatting and laughing as they walked to their barracks, their boots hitting the ground as they strolled on by, passing beeping little droids with rolling wheels and metal feet.

It was a lullaby.

The song of a happy, very alive 952nd onboard the Stormrider.

She kept her eyes shut, counting nerfs as she quieted her mind to shift into sleep mode.

A new sound entered her hearing, putting a sour note into her peaceful ship’s melody.

The drag of big boots, shuffling down the hall. She expected them pass, but then she heard them stop outside her door and the control pad click. Within seconds, the woosh of her door slid open and they entered her room shutting the door behind them.

Maybe Hardwire needed cuddles. Or perhaps Cosmos misses our sleepovers? Maybe Dabbler had a bad night and wants to be comforted. Or Shadow? Boomerang? Mirage? I doubt it’s Cooper, but Tracks could be—

Gently, their hand brushed her arm. Not enough to have woken her if she was asleep, but enough to let her know she wasn’t sleeping alone tonight.

She rolled over, tiredly murmuring, “Fury?”

“H-how’d you kn-“

“Only you alert me of your presence like that,” she sat up, “you okay, my reliable ARC?”

In the dark, she couldn’t see his face, but she could see his frame was small and he was holding himself.

“Can… can I sleep here tonight?” Fury paused, “please?”

She scooted over, “always.”

Fury sat down on the edge, taking off his armored layer before climbing under the covers.

After a moment of laying together in darkness, he sniffled and made a small choking noise.

Juliette immediately moved closer, wrapping him up in her arms. He didn’t fight the affection, and melted into her letting out quiet sobs into her shoulder.

She ran her fingers through his dark hair, and placed a kiss on his temple. She pulled him closer, keeping him safe in her arms until she felt his body no longer tremble and his breathing steady.

Only then did she close her eyes, and chase him into sleep still hugging him through the late night.

Dio was singing, infusing every note with his entire being, his feelings being poured with each riff of his guitar. His bandmates stood behind him, but they knew that this was Dio's show. They were just there to support his legendary talent. Every rip of the guitar, every sound, every string and every note had an intention, a purpose. It was as if he was connecting to the crowd, the Spirit infusing them all with his energy. Dio could feel it, the Spirit radiating from the people around him, like a magnet. The key hanging on Dio's necklace gleamed under the neon lights, the physical connection of Stormrider, the Spirit of the Horse, manifested now in front of him. The Bitter End had become a true musical phenomenon, a fan favorite that had been performed at countless concerts worldwide. And now, it was reaching the end, the final notes coming closer and closer. Dio closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and then...

The song was over.

Dio could feel the Spirit moving through the crowd, every single drop of energy and emotion filling him up. He had held his end of the bargain and the Spirit will boost him in his time of need, providing Dio with the power to command the storm if needed be.

A few hours passed after the show, with everyone loading up the equipment on the buses and heading to their hotel. Dio was sitting down in one of the edges of the street while the team finished loading everything up. Though an amazing show, he was tired and mentally drained. The young man rested his back on the cold pavement when he noticed a strange pair of boots next to him. His eyes then turned to meet the stranger with a smirk. "Hey! Coming for an autograph and a selfie, I suppose?" He gave his hand to the stranger, which Dio thought was his fan so the other could help him up for the photograph. Dio loved interacting with the fans, sometimes, going out of his way to greet them and meet them. But something told him the stranger was not here for an autograph.
