《世界土壌デーまであと8日！》

12月5日に世界土壌デーというものがある。今その日のために、30日前から世界各国で協力隊員がカウントダウン企画を行なっている。今日は私の担当。

《विश्व माटो दिवस सम्म अझै ८ दिन !!》

अहिले म काम गर्ने स्कूल,श्र��� जननेत्र मा. वि. , काे स्टुडेन्ट सँगै फोटो कोचेको।

土から色々な作物が産まれ、また土に帰っていく。

私が村で生活を始めて半年。自ら作物を植えて、収穫して、食べて、残りは土に返すというサイクルを日々繰り返しています。

ある村人は「土は大切、そのために肥料をまくんだ。肥料も自分たちで作る。オーガニックだから美味しいよね」と言っています。

たしかに美味しい。けれど、畑を、土を休ませることをしない。次から次へと新しい作物を育てる。

またある人は「ネパールは大体農業しているけれど、食べ物が足りない。なぜだかわかる？新しくて、効率的な農業の仕方をしらないから。肥料も昔ながらの牛糞から作るし、土に栄養が均等に行かないから上手く作物が育たないんだよ。」と言っています。

そして、私はどちらにも「そうだね。」としか答えられない。土壌の日に土について考えてみようと思いました。

यु. एन. (UN) को एफ. य. ओ. (FAO) ले सुरुवात गरेको विश्व माटो दिवस (World Soil Day) हरेक बर्षको 5 Dec (मंसिर १९) मा मनाउने गरिन्छ । संसारमा हरेक नौ जना मध्य एक जना भोकै रहने अवस्थमा उर्वर माटो आजको आबश्यकता हो तर संसार को एक तिहाई माटो कमसल अवस्थामा छ तेसैले सबै मिली माटो संरक्षण गरौ ।

「While we can see many of the changes we have made to our planet, some of our impacts are virtually invisible, and soil pollution is a good example. Be the Solution to Soil Pollution campaign for World Soil Day 2018 aims to raise awareness and call people to #StopSoilPollution ...」

世界土壌デーとは、FAO(国際連合食糧農業機関)が定める国際デーのひとつ。

土壌資源は人類にとって非常に大切なものです。例えば、世界人口の9人に1人が空腹を抱えている今日、食料生産には健全な土壌が必要です。しかし世界の土壌の1/3はすでに劣化しているといわれています。

この日をきっかけに身の回りの土や、世界の土壌環境について少し考えてみるのはいかがでしょうか。
