some of these kids were literally so young when the group debuted and honestly there may have been a silver lining when they disbanded because they would 100% get those older fans who actually like the fact than they're younger and.. yeah.. yikes.....

These rookies left me so impressed with their performances in Road To Kingdom. They have such a good rock sound and unique concept to their performances.

For the final round of Mnet(엠넷)'s "Road to Kingdom," where each competing artist had to perform a new comeback song, VERIVERYimpressed with "Beautiful-X," a song included in their comeback EP, "FACE YOU," released on the 1st of July. Sadly, they finished in the last place, but HEY! They were not eliminated and their performances throughout the competition left quite an impression in the public.

The song itself and the music video for the EP's title track, "Thunder," are electrifying. Everything from the perfectly synchronized choreography to the setting and visual effects was jaw-dropping.

I feel like "Thunder" is a perfect song to listen to when you're mad or when you explode "like a thunder" after feeling anxious about something. Like breaking free from self-oppression without hesitation. You just do it. You've had enough of holding back. It feels good, doesn't it? When we let go and act impulsively. Only we must hope that it wasn't a decision we might later regret.

They may still be rookies, but they are coming verivery strong. The new EP of their "FACE it" series, "FACE YOU," brings a more mature look and feel of the boys.

I think they're ready to take the world by storm! Don't you?

Did she turn into a zombie?

YAS! Finally! 마마무 Mamamoo's Hwasa finally released her killer comeback mini-album, "MARIA," along with the MV for the title track of the same name on the 29th of June.

By the way, no, Hwasa has not turned into a zombie--those are fake brains, silly! I wonder what they taste like. Has anyone asked her about it?

In the title track song, "Maria," which is Hwasa's baptismal name, Hwasa is basically talking to herself, giving herself advice against all the hate she receives. She reminds herself that she is worth it and to not let anyone tell her otherwise.

This music video has quite a deep meaning, actually.

First, Hwasa is dead. Maria, her red-haired alter-ego, is watching her. Through the first verse and pre-chorus, Maria is giving her Hwasa self advice on how to deal with media and public hate. We see Maria feeding the people (netizens? the media?) at the table pretty things, and some nasty things, while she holds a brain and watches them pick through the items. Then she eats the brain as she watches them. Does this mean she makes a fool out of them?

Then, we see black-haired Hwasa is at the psycho ward being watched and studied. When she's restrained, she's seen surrounded by pencils and nails pointing at her. Malicious comments, perhaps, or her own thoughts? She runs away only to eventually run into a crown made out of those nails and pencils. Could this mean she turns around every malicious thing said about her into a strength? She owns those hateful comments and wears them like the Queen she is.

Throughout her career, Hwasa has been the target of hate by netizens because of her "unconventional" looks. She's not your typical slim, pointy chin, white-skinned idol and, for that, some netizens have demanded her removal from the group--because she isn't "attractive enough." She doesn't fit standards. There were even signed petitions! She's been hated on for her outfits and body-shamed. But what has made Hwasa stand out from the rest is that she isn't silent about the hate she receives and she does not conform with close-mindedness.

"If I don't fit into this generation's standard of beauty, then I will have to become a different standard" - Hwasa.

This Queen is not afraid to show who she really is and own it. She stays true to herself. Always keep it 100%, and she encourages all of us to love ourselves just the way we are.

I guess some people may interpret it differently, but this was my honest take.

The mini-album comes with a total of seven tracks, including last year's solo debut single, "멍청이 | Twit," and a duet with DPR LIVE, "I'm bad, too."

Warm voiced 정기고 (Junggigo) has released a new EP, "warm," on the 18th of June. Not only does it include the title song and its instrumental counterpart, as we often see on singles, but there is also an English version of the song.

This release is another perfect late-night song to vibe to when you just want to kick it back with your significant other.

I don't have much to say about this song. I just like it. I like its vibe. Do you?

This song is as fresh as this morning!

Well, kind of outcast here in Houston, but we gotta start with fresh energy.

Back at the end of February, busy bee 청하 (CHUNG HA) released the single "솔직히 지친다 | Everybody Has" as the second part of MNH Entertainment's "New.wav" Project, which combines "new" music plus the file extension ".wav," giving rise to a "new wave" of music. The project aims to create more interaction with the fans through continuous release of more diverse music.

Now, ChungHa is back again with the third part of the project, "Be Yourself," in collaboration with Sprite.

The song's sound and feel is as refreshing as a Sprite. It almost made me say "Aaahhhh" at the end of the video. If I might add, Lime Green looks SO good on her! She looks beautiful.

I think I've truly become a ChungHa fan.

Side Note: I thought it was cute that the guy in the MV was lipsynching to the song.

Fun Fact: That cute guy, btw, is the same cute guy from NCT's "Chewing Gum" MV.

I wish I could see this Sprite Ad here in the USA!
