#DaddyDaughterDate Idea: Look up random, fun holidays that are celebrated in the US or somewhere around the world and let your daughter choose one to participate in. Its something I tried for the first time with @LondonInAmerica and found it was a great way to learn a little about the world, show your daughter that you value the things she wants to do and is just another way to be intentional about the relationship you're trying to build with your princess. London chose #NationalPretzelDay for us to celebrate together so we grabbed a couple sweet almond pretzels from @auntieannespretzels 🔥🔥 as usual! In early 2020, this 38-year-old husband, father, proud #HBCU graduate of @ncatsuaggies , member of #AlphaPhiAlpha , actor/producer/writer, 16-year #AirForceReserve officer, believer, and #entrepreneur will open the doors to my new Chick-fil-A restaurant in Los Angeles! Man, what a journey. A journey I did not and could not have traversed alone. God laid the foundation for me to become all that I am. He gave me amazing parents who always encouraged me to go after what I wanted in life and to never put all my eggs in one basket. That’s what allowed me to be a businessman, serve our country and appear in several national commercials - all at the same time. Without that permission to “go for it” I may never have taken the leap. Thank you to my wife, Dree, and my baby girl, @londoninamerica , who have been there literally every step of the way. Dree sacrificed day in and day out for our family, giving me space and support to dream big and pursue the impossible (fun fact: 70,000+ apply every year to own a Chick-fil-A and roughly 100 get selected which makes me feel even more unworthy of the blessing). I do this for the people who see insurmountable odds stacked against them and are about to give up on their goals and dreams. I do this for HBCU grads who are told HBCUs aren’t relevant anymore. #AggiesDo. I do this for my immediate family and the family of the 100+ amazing people I will have the pleasure of hiring over the next few weeks. I do this for anyone who needed to be reminded that being out of your comfort zone is OK because that’s exactly where you and I need to be in order to become who we are meant to be.
