Can Indian street food be healthy? Am sure most of your answer will never be positive. Well, for me after finding this hidden gem for healthy street food, My answer is a YESSS!.
ROTI ROLLERS
Roti Rollers is by the talented, creative and experienced Chef Sameer. The food here is inspired by classic Indian Street Food and reinvented to meet urban tastes. It is an exciting new take on traditional Kebabs. Succulently grilled kebabs are wrapped in fresh rotis and served with their signature sauces and salads.
Coming to the location, it is perfectly located in La- Mer, Dubai which is the newest addition to the Dubai’s hottest (Don’t take it literally ) spot to visit.
Being a non-vegetarian (chicken only) I had a lot of option to choose from and the best part is they also customize the food according to your needs and taste.
WHAT I HAD?
Roti Crisp – Our traditional Indian crisp served with a variety of sauce or chutneys. All the chutneys are freshly prepared and there are almost 12 kinds of it. I tried all of them with each crisp and trust me it was delicious. Must try in Roti Rollers.

Next was the ChaatTrolley – Served was a different type of chaats in a platter which consisted of Pani Puri, Dahi Aloo Puri, Dahi Sev Puri and Papdi Chaat.

Up all night to get Plucky – Tikka chicken breast in an avocado roti with tikka masala spread, red onion, red chilli, parsley and coriander chutney, red peppers and crunchy roti crisps. Since this is their signature and Award-winning best Roll – I had to try it. The roti is made of whole wheat and made with a lot of attention to make it healthy. It comes with two chutneys, potato fries and roti crisp. The portion is big and enough for two people if you have a small appetite. This one adds to my list of “must have”. Note that it is served with yummy Okra fries ❤
Lamb shank redemption – For the meat lovers, this one is a must-have when you are in Roti-Roller. It is made of lamb shoulders marinated in yoghurt, ginger, herbs and masala; in an avocado roti with coriander chutney, wasabi peas, red chillies, pickles and black radish drizzled with tikka masala sauce. My husband’s favourite now.

Indie scotch egg– Well, I haven’t tasted something like this before. The picture on the menu looked great, so I decided to order it. I wasn’t expecting it to be very good, but contrary to my expectations, it turned out to be amazing. The Indie scotch egg has a coating of minced chicken and spicy masala sprinkled on top, served with ketchup.

Edamame Dosa – Dosa with not so traditional filling of potato masala but with a filling of Edamame. Well, Dosa Lovers this one is different from the traditional dosa which we eat everywhere in Dubai. Try this out, you will not be disappointed.
Spicy Cheesy Toast – Well if you are not in a mood to eat a meal and want something to snack along with your cup of” Karak Chai”. Then, snack your heart out with their spicy cheesy toast- its made with egg, filling of chutney and cheese. Yummilicious <3.
Jalebi – We all love Jalebi and I know you find it everywhere in Dubai, but what so unique about their Jalebi’s? Its made fresh which is crispy outside juicy inside and served with Rabdi dip. Well yes, this is how different they are. Lip smacking hot and crispy Jalebi’s with the Rabdi dip – Guys! are you still thinking?
Kulfi Stick- Three different flavours in one stick- strawberry, mango and blueberry. Enjoy the goodness and combination of three different fruit flavours. Everything they have on their menu is unique.

Karak Chai – In India, chai is more than just a cup of tea to start the day. Even here in Dubai, we find a lot of places where you can find a variety of chai. Rotti rollers chai is unique in a way it is prepared and made fresh every time. Chef Sameer tells us his love for chai and his quest to make karak chai which he can relate to. Served in a traditional- Indian tea glass- which we all love is made with the right amount of fresh milk, sugar and tea powder, masalas.
