Thank you for the many years of protecting us from bears, deer, and squirrels while we hiked, fun camping times, and more swimming excursions than I can recall at the moment. We love you fiercely and deeply. No longer are you in pain or suffering and while we weep at your absence, we are glad to know you are well.

Archer’s send off to Jessica Walter was perfect and made me tear up. 🥺

Jessica Walter, who voiced Mallory Archer — Archer’s mother and boss — passed away during the production of Archer, season 12. While she had recorded most of her lines for the season prior to her death in March of 2021, the show’s writers changed the end of the season’s arc for Mallory to make a graceful exit from The Agency, which she ran.

The season’s finale ended with her peaceful and sitting on a beach living out her secret spy retirement with her husband, Ron, who had been voiced by Ron Leibman — Jessica’s real life husband.

Ron and Jessica were married from 1983 until Ron’s death in 2019. Season 11’s Episode 2: Bloodsploosh, was dedicated to him.

it makes me ill how sweet malory can be. the "you did good kiddo" after lana gives birth, taking krieger to see the wiz, whenever she genuinely cries over archer, when pam, cheryl, and lana give her a spa day and she lets them... she really does love them even though she's an alcoholic negligent neurotic narcissistic elderly woman. she's the character ever and i'm so unreasonably attached to her. i'm so so so so so heartbroken over jessica walter's death i don't even know what to do with myself. plus archer's voice breaking when he reads her letter.... god i am NOT about to cry about archer

Hey-o people on the interwebs! I have been feeling down this week. The heat is relentless and breaking all kinds of records and I live in a place where we have historically not seen temperatures break 100 degrees so I am melting. So I am going to ask you to share your pet's nicknames. You can include the name if that feels safe (if you use it as part of a password or security question answer please omit!) but I want the nicknames. I feel like pets accumulate multiple nicknames and many of them are absolutely wonderful.

Dream journal, December 31st, 2023.

I dreamt I was Mallory Archer from Archer. I was with some guy and we were exploring some building when we find a piano. He starts playing and I start singing. Something happens, likely age, and we both die on the piano. For some reason our bodies are magically teleported into the room, laying next to each other, that Sterling, Lana, and I think a few other people are laying in. At this point I take over Sterling. We all wake up and Lana points out that the guy is dead. I say that's terrible, Mom is gonna be so sad, when we realize that Mom is dead too. At this point I sort of become myself but in the place of Sterling Archer? Hard to explain. I start bawling and wailing and screaming. Eventually I order everyone out except my niece (because she just lost her grandmother) and we get *shithoused*. It gets to the point of vomiting and we both start vomiting blood. I remember looking down and seeing blood in my hands, then I remember it coming out so forcefully that I can see it bouncing off my hands and going into my hair. My niece (I don't have one irl) starts doing it too and we run to the bathroom. She takes the sink and I the toilet. I'm not vomiting anymore but it's just sort of dripping out of my mouth. We both sit down and I decide that "I need to get sober because my mother isn't here to help me anymore."

I was at my Nan and Pap's but the house was very different. I was talking to my grandfather and he mentioned that I owned a Peterbuilt truck for some reason, and asked if I'd finally decided what I wanted to do with it. I said I was gonna sell it because I didn't have anything to do with it and couldn't remember why I'd bought it in the first place. Then I was walking around outside and climbed onto this weird porch, and was talking to my uncle D. I asked if he could take care of my two pigs but he said they'd already butchered theirs. Then I was thinking about how there's an old motorcycle in the wood line that I could drag out and fix. (The only thing about any of this that's accurate to reality is that my uncle has pigs, and they have not in fact been butchered.)
