Meet Chielle: a human scientist seeking technological solutions to magical problems, in a universe where Spinosauruses, spaceships, and semideities can all be found on the same planet.

This has yet to happen as far as I know, but still...
So is reblog is also not permitted?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That’s the difference. Reblogs are good! You promote the artist and their work.
At least for me repost is ok only in one condition: you asked permission and the artist said “yes”.

Before the creation of the Mortal Realm...
50,000 years before the story begins...
Beings of pure magic and energy danced together, not knowing that the parts of them that mingled would blend into something new, something separate... something dangerous.
This was the birth of Sarovak.

Now that Chielle and Quenzin have their own character art, I'm working on the design for Raina: the Mother of All and Mother of None, First Semigoddess of the Mortal Realm, and the person with the most challenging outfit design I've ever created. Not that her outfit is super complicated or anything, but it does have to accommodate two wildly different body shapes without ripping, because if she's given a good enough reason to, this woman hulks out and flips tanks. The fact that she's 1/4 war goddess doesn't show often, but when it shows, it SHOWS. She is as gentle and maternal as she looks... until suddenly she's not. 😈 Here's a little preview of her normal form. My Patreon supporters can see a higher-res version of this artwork, a work-in-progress image of her battle form, and a lot of additional worldbuilding and backstory info in this post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/concept-art-for-82418957 They can also see an image of her in a swimsuit, because this outfit doesn't do justice to how muscular Raina is.

Wow, what a great analysis!  I actually asked another blog (lefthanded-sans) about Sans tendency to lie, esp. in neutral endings (you are totally right that Sans also just doesn't tell anyone anything), because I thought it was super interesting.
This was the ask I sent to that blog:
https://lefthanded-sans.tumblr.com/post/679276076243075072/so-i-remember-reading-i-think-it-was-you-answers
Anyways, your take and analysis on this, Sans lies and coping mechanisms (which are really bad, Sans, they really.  And you are right that it really shows a concerning disconnect from reality that he doesn’t care how insane he sounds), and just this answer and analysis of Sans’ character and thought progress was just SO good.  It was so good to hear someone talk about this more in-depth.
Your take (though, I haven’t seen that many, would love to see more takes on this, but I have at least SOME good and interesting takes on it) was probably one of my favorites, with StephObrien’s takes on this (she has an Undertale comic and fanfic called “Just Cause” that is really good and there a lot of sanyasis (analysis.  I deiced to keep that autocorrect of analysis, because it seems like a pun on Sans and analysis, and I think Sans would want me to keep in this post) of Undertale and its characters in the comic/fanfic themselves, as well as the page and/or summary descriptions or in the comments.
This is a link to her DA, specifically an index of her comic:  https://www.deviantart.com/stephobrien/art/Just-Cause-Index-and-Progress-Bar-634267167),
Edit:  Found some other good takes on this recently, maybe not these specific lies/things, but how/why Sans omits/would omit/lie about that/this kind of stuff/in general.  For example:  https://sophtopus.tumblr.com/’s take on Sans in her fics and her thoughts about him in general are very interesting, and a new favorite take of mine (her version of Classic Sans in general is also one of my new favorites of him too.  I love me a good Classic Sans take, and hers defin. is.  A very different and unique take though, but still very much Sans and in-character for him.  Though her take on Sans may not be for everyone; like I said, quite a different take on him) .
Very different from yours and probably a fair amount of people (her Sans take in general that is), but I really love it.  Her interpretation would probably more similar to Just Cause’s analysis for why Sans may lie/omit stuff than yours, though still quite different in her own right too.
Anyways, that was just one other (of maybe some more others) example I was able to find on this topic with Sans.  It is really interesting to see people’s usually fairly different takes on this.  It is a fun thing to read about/see/etc. and analysis.
End of Edit (I think).
it was just vey good.  Thanks for sharing this.  Your analysis is just very good, and I love ur takes on Sans.
PS:  Also, I love ur fanfics so much too.  The Wither series is so good and Wither Without You Just Sans (Classic) is written so well (like, just very good, I LOVE him), and I loved him in the prequel series too going over his origins and his past, and ur Sanster stuff with him too!
Thanks for your posts and fics!
In some of the neutral endings, Sans has been shown to have told Papyrus that his friends simply "went on a vacation" when they've been killed by you/frisk because he doesn't have the heart to tell him what really happened, like how he omits the truth of what happened to papyrus to Toriel in order to preserve the "perfect little angel" image she has of Frisk
Papyrus "accepts" that in his presence but the second he's not in the room, he drops his cheery and naive facade to tell you how he really feels
So if anything, they're both protecting eachother from less than savory truths, but yeah, he has some streaks of lying
you're RIGHT thank you anon. i forgot about those endings entirely. those are a good bit of characterization to keep in mind in any conversation about sans and lying. thank you! let's think about this...

Meet Quenzin: the mysterious survivor who was found aboard a crashed shuttle he wasn't supposed to be on. You can learn a bit more about him and his strange situation below the cut. :)
Behind the woeful visage of a sad, tired old man, there lies a plethora of mysteries. Quenzin first enters the story as the sole occupant of a crashed shuttle he wasn't supposed to be aboard, and he doesn't know why he was brought there, where the rest of the crew is, or why they left him to die alone. To make matters stranger, when Chielle Havello Sai dragged him from the flaming wreckage, he was covered in blood and clearly in distress, yet showed no visible injuries. And while he alludes to the existence of a sister he loves and children he may or may not have, most of his backstory - ESPECIALLY the details about his estranged family - is off limits to anyone he doesn't trust. If the style of his clothing looks similar to Chielle's, that's because it is. Between the shuttle crash and the brutal events that preceded it, his former outfit was tattered beyond repair, so she loaned him the biggest coat and pants she had - and they were still noticeably too small for his 6'5" frame. You can see the height difference between them in the image below. Unsurprisingly, there were no shoes in the facility that fit the towering rescuee, so he'll have to do without for a while.

For my latest pride flag cutout art series, I wanted to try something more ambitious. Instead of having a single theme for the pattern, I drew seven different layers of the world. It certainly made the project more fun, because it meant I had lots of different subjects to draw.
I'd initially planned to keep all the cutouts fairly simple, but as I so often do, I wound up getting more and more detailed. I went overboard with the butterflies and dragonflies, and I went absolutely apeshit with the fish, haha.
For those who are curious, I created this by placing a layer of black on top of the color layer, then erasing holes in the darkness, allowing the colors of the flags to shine through. I also added spots and shimmers of white to give it brightness and texture.
You can see the full series here.

My first-ever illustration job! Meet Princess Wildebeest.
Tumblr media
I recently had the pleasure of illustrating a new children's book!
Princess Wildebeest is a fanciful glimpse into the life of a playful, intelligent and energetic young girl, and a mother's celebration of her daughter's courage and resilience in the face of learning disabilities and childhood fears.
Tumblr media
I really enjoyed being part of this project, and I look forward to illustrating future books about Princess Wildebeest.

If you want to read the book and see the rest of the illustrations, you can get your copy of Princess Wildebeest here!
And if you want me to illustrate your book or create any other art for you, you can see my art commissions pricing and rules here.

Inspired by this post.
And yes, the part where it says “mothfucker” instead of “motherfucker” is deliberate, and the moth is indeed so very fucked.
