Stone would be neutral-positive about Starline at first, but would quickly become jealous when its clear Robotnik is showing preferiential treatment

Starline would see Stone as a servant or maid and if Stone ever "stepped out of line" (AKA realized his worth) he'd try to poison him or some shit

Well I said I wouldn't design any more keychains but today I woke up and chose war so here's Kit! He was one of the most difficult keychain to shade, and I did it multiple times. I like this dark side there's to him and really wanted to highlight how menacing he can be despite his cute appearance. I hope you guys like this design as much as me!

Been reading through the idw comics, I'm currently on issue 68! It's so good! All the side characters in the comics have such cute designs.

Seeing posts comparing Starline to Agent Stone again with Sonic Movie 3’s release, so I’ll just toss my own two cents into how they’d probably interact.

What sets Stone and Starline apart is that Starline is an Eggman fanboy who met his hero and was disappointed he wasn’t how he imagined him to be. Stone is (comparatively) a doormat who has worked for Robotnik for years and actually knows what he’s like.

Starline only knew the Eggman he had built up in his head; whereas Stone actually knows who Eggman is and admires all of it anyway. From the food he eats, to the shows he watches, the mindset he has when he’s working, how he likes his Austrian goat milk lattes, etc.

If Starline and Stone ever met, Stone would probably distrust Starline and doubt his intentions (given his doubts about Gerald in Sonic Movie 3); and Starline would very quickly dismiss Stone as an ambitionless, order-following goon. I imagine they’d amicably tolerate each other up until Starline calls Eggman’s plans/actions flawed and starts attempting to ‘correct’ them. Then Stone would smack Starline in the back of the head, tell him that The Doctor is fine just the way he is, and that Starline should shut up and admire the geniusness that they’re lucky enough to witness.

Reminder of a Starline themed BumbleKast Q&A where Ian Flynn as Starline talks about what he would have done with Sonic and Tails bodies after the events of Issue 50: [ Tw! Child Death + Taxidermy ]

Starline is such a genuinely terrifying character (who I miss everyday ahh) and his disregard for children and his willingness to mentally and physically manipulate them for his own evil purposes (especially in the context of this answer) is genuinely chilling. It’s something I think even Eggman would be semi disturbed by which is saying a lot.

The idea of him using Sonic and Tails preserved bodies as trophies and as an example to others is so insanely horrifying, and the “well then I’ll just have to start a gallery won’t I!” in response to the idea of other hero’s trying to rise up against him somehow finds a way to make it extra disturbing. The mental image of Amy, Knuckles and all their other friends seeing what Starline has done to the brothers… to their family 💔

The thought of Surge and Kit having a constant physical reminder of what they’ve done… that while Sonic and Tails may be out the way, the two unwilling doppelgangers will forever be in their shadow, unable to truly fill the roles they were forced into and the bond the brothers had. Them getting everything they thought they wanted, yet still feeling empty inside.

Long story short: Ian Flynn did not need to go this crazy with this answer but gosh am I glad he did.

I've been reading the IDW Sonic comics and I can't even begin to say how much I love the wacky designs of all the new characters. I started drawing them and adding them to my Sonic keychain collection!

My favorite is Surge because she's so bold and vibrant, but Starline is definetly up there for me too. He looks like a Sonic version of Gundham Tanaka to me!

Whisper and Starline are currently being made into keychains, I'm so excited to see how they turn out!

If I was to draw more Sonic characters and add them to my collection, who should I include? 💜
