☆Protected areas of save data that cannot be erased in the options menu!☆
This is the options screen. The option on the bottom is to delete the game data. The others (from top down) are for the cursor speed, turning the sound on and off, and what room the Stacomi will be in (it's like a wallpaper).
Using the options the player can format the game to get rid of any Stacomi on that save and start over. All data about the Stacomi (inculding of past Stacomi) will be erased along with the player profile data.
It looks like the game erases all data but there is certain data that CANNOT be deleted with this option. Saved mail and the address book are not deleted when the save game is erased. This data would have to be removed manually. (like going into the mail box and deleting everything found there, or erasing the address book manually).
As for data downloaded from the network, I have not found a save with any downloaded items on it so I can't see what happens with these items. Various places do mention that when downloading a new item, the old one will be overwritten so is formatting the save data not enough to delete downloaded items? Are downloaded items part of the same protected area of save data like the mail? I have found no places that mention any other ways that downloaded items can be lost... (unless erasing the save is so obvious that no warning for such a thing would have been needed).

Journal Entry #1
As the semester enters its second week, the pressure to start applying to summer coop positions is finally setting in. Having gone into this post-graduate program from a Communications Degree, unsure of where I want my career to go, what I've most been looking forward to is this course; the opportunity to have a conversation with alumni who are currently working in the mareting industry.
For our first seminar, we had the privilege of meeting (virtually, of course), Asta Schouten, Natasha Brutenshaw-deVrie and Jordan Veenstra. Asta, Marketing Manager for a construction company with a passion for graphic design, shared her experience of working in a B2B environment, how to manage a social media crisis, and overcoming camera shyness in the age of remote working. Natasha, an SEO Strategist for a digital agency, shared her insights on the advantages of gaining certifications to stand out when applying for jobs, and the challenges of shifting primarily from in-person to online communication. Jordan, Social Media Specialist for Starcom, discussed what it was like to go from working for a small sized company to a larger one, networking in these different environments and the obstacles he's faced.
From this first session, there are three takeaways that I've made note of that have helped me gain a clearer sense of direction:
1. Learn to adapt: With the past year being particularly full of major changes, (*cough* covid-19 *cough*), it's important to know how to shift your own mindset and way of working to adjust to our ever-changing circumstances. Things aren't always going to go the way we plan and being able to acclimatize is curcial.
2. Not having real-world experience doesn't make you any less of a star: As someone who has years of experience in the realm of customer service but little to no expericne in the marketing industry itself, it has always been a looming concern that I may not be good enough for the positions I want. Listening to Natasha's perspective on building your portofilio despite not having the expereince was a huge eye-opener. With access to online courses and free certifications, it's a good idea to start building those necessary skills. Not only does it look food on a resume, but it demontrates initiative and eagerness to learn!
3. Get comfortable networking: When it comes to camera shyness, that's something I can relate to. As an introvert, networking has always been a challenge, but something that I know is inevitable in this industry. After hearing of the opportunities that Asta and Jordan have gained simply from who they know, I've beomce more motivated than before to start making connections. Thanks to sites like LinkedIn, connecting with people doesn't seem as daunting, and is a great place to foster those meaningful interactions.
It was a honour to be able to listen to what these three industry professionals had to say, even more so that I share a similar path to them. My mind has definitely been put at ease, and I cannot wait to hear more from our future guests!

Bajan Newscap 8/1/2017
Good Morning #realdreamchasers. Here is your daily news cap for Tuesday, August 1st, 2017. There is a lot to read and digest so take your time. Remember you can read full articles via Barbados Today ((BT), or by purchasing a Daily Nation Newspaper (DN).
CLICO CASH COMING – It may be a merry Christmas this year for CLICO policyholders. This is because the High Court has approved the transfer of the assets and insurance policies from CLICO International Life Insurance Company to the Barbados companies New Life Investment Company (a holding company) and Resolution Life Insurance Company Limited. These were set up after the regional insurance giant collapsed in 2009. This clears the way for the beginning of a process that will end with CLICO policyholders receiving long-awaited payments, which chairperson of the Barbados Investors and Policyholders Alliance (BIPA), June Fowler, anticipates will happen “this side of Christmas”. (DN)
CLOSE CALL FOR ELDERLY MAN – A 77-year-old Brittons Hill, St Michael man is thanking his lucky stars that he was not in when the deteriorating house in which he lived for many years came crashing down around 1 p.m. Monday. Trinidadian-born Theophilus Theo Cupen gave his neighbours a scare, prompting several of them to search through the debris fearing the elderly man may have been trapped underneath. “I heard the house start crackling and my neighbour tell me that Theo house is coming down and then when I came out I saw that the house was flat. I thought he was in there but thank God he was in the yard, luckily for him,” said Trevor Rose, who lives opposite the now crumbled structure. It was not long after the house collapsed that Chairman of the National Assistance Board (NAB) Dr David Durant turned up to assess the damage and offer assistance. Durant, whose Restoration Ministries is located approximately 50 feet from Cupen’s home, said he was considering asking the Urban Development Commission to build a new home for the elderly man on the same spot. The Government senator also expressed concern over the number of aging structures around the island, arguing they posed a threat to occupants and their neighbours alike. He also advised people living in similar condition to seek assistance from the relevant authorities, including the NAB. (BT)
PAYNE’S DAUGHTER LOOKING TO MEET HER AGAIN – Based on the life that Colleen Payne lived, Shakelia Payne is confident that she will meet her mother again one day “at heaven’s gates.” Payne’s only child made the declaration yesterday while paying tribute to her at the funeral service for her mother who was shot and killed on July 17 while using the ATM at the Royal Bank of Canada’s Black Rock branch. Shakelia said that even though yesterday was a sad day, she was sure that if she followed what her mother, has taught her, they would meet again. “As long as I live right, as long as I put God first, on that glorious morning my mother will get up and I will meet her at heaven’s gates,” Shakelia said. (DN)
CLERGYMEN LAMENT SPATE OF GUN CRIMES - The hearts of some of this country’s religious leaders are troubled by the recent spate of gun crimes, with one church leader lamenting that “the children of slaves are now killing the children of slaves” while another is describing the killers as cowards. With three people shot to death within the last month, and another escaping with his life after being shot in the head in the wee hours of Monday morning, Rector of the St George Parish Church Reverend John Rogers is wondering what has gone wrong with Barbados. He bemoaned the number of illegal guns that fall into the hands of would-be killers, many of whom he said did not care about the sanctity of life. While fellow clergymen sought answers to the rise in gun killings, Senior Pastor of Restoration Ministries on Gunsite Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael Dr David Durant felt the problem had its root in dysfunctional homes. Durant, a Government senator, argued there were too many angry young people on the streets of Barbados, many of whom came from dysfunctional homes without father figures, and headed by females who did not have the time to listen to their children’s concerns. While announcing that some of the churches would jointly organize a day of prayer on Kadooment Day against crime and violence, as well as for the island’s youth, families and the economy, Durant said the time had come to engage the young people where the live and hang out. Meantime, St Barnabas Church Rector Reverend Mark Harewood said like most Barbadians he was distressed over the killings. Referring to the murder of 58-year-old Colleen Beresdean Payne of Eden Lodge, St Michael who was shot while transacting business at an automated banking machine on University Drive, St Michael on July 18, the Anglican cleric said the alleged killers were cowards, even as he raised serious concern about the number of guns falling into the wrong hands. Within the last month, Payne, as well as Jerome Wild Geese Bovell, 44, who was gunned down in Goddard’s Road, St Stephen’s Hill, St Michael on June 28; and 34-year-old Closton Robinson of Parish Land, Christ Church who succumbed to his wounds after he was shot in the face sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on July 28 while celebrating his birthday at the Soaliom Bar in Parish Land, Christ Church, all died violently from gun attacks. Yesterday morning a Christ Church man survived a gunshot wound to his head after he was attacked outside his Fairy Valley residence. He was treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and discharged. (BT)
FAIRY VALLEY FEARFUL – A sole, ear-splitting gunshot rang out in the wee hours of yesterday morning in Fairy Valley, injuring a young man and driving fear into the hearts of residents in the Christ Church community. According to police reports, the 24-year-old received head injuries after being shot while he was outside his Fairy Valley home after midnight yesterday. He was treated at the Queen’s Elizabeth Hospital and discharged the same day. Despite the youth’s injuries not being life threatening, other residents in the community expressed shock that such an incident could even occur in what they considered to be a quiet neighbourhood. (DN)
THAT’S MY BOY – A ton of love. A little Barbadian had a big fan club to see him complete his first century in national colours yesterday. Jacob Bethell carved out an impressive unbeaten 100 that helped Barbados beat Jamaica at the Windward Club ground in Lucas Street, St Philip, and complete a third successive victory in the Cricket West Indies Under-15 Tournament. Several of Bethell’s family members were on hand, including father Graham, a former Barbados Under-19 player, and grandfather Arthur, an ex-national senior representative. (DN)
HOLDER: COME GOOD – West Indies captain Jason Holder has urged his inexperienced side to make the most of the three tour games in the build-up to the opening Test of the three-match series against England later next month. The tourists face Essex in a three-day contest starting today and will follow up with matches against Kent from August 6 to 8 in Canterbury and against Derbyshire from August 11 to 13. The opening Test will be a day/night affair beginning August 17 at Edgbaston. “I think it is extremely good that we have three games leading into the first Test match, all of them being three-day games and one being a day-nighter, so that’s more than enough preparation time to go into the first Test and into the Test series,” the all-rounder said. (DN)
CONTROVERSY OVER JUNIOR KADOOMENT WINNER - It seems that bashment of another kind is brewing at the Junior Kadooment level. Less than 24 hours after the official results were released crowning Kevin Small and Fifth Element Kiddies Band – Candy Land 246as the Best Junior Band, several bandleaders have questioned the results. Veteran bandleader Gwyneth Squires was among the most vocal and has revealed that those bandleaders will be filing an official objection to the National Cultural Foundation (NCF). Squires, who placed second overall, told Starcom Network the bandleaders would be filing the objection as they believed that Small did not have enough overall prizes to beat Trevor Nicholls, who placed third overall. (DN)
ROYALE FAMILY – Soca Royale IS proving to be the perfect venue for companies to get their staff and their families together for an entertaining social gathering. For the staging of the MQI, 98.1 The One Soca Royale show on Sunday, some groups came in the hundreds, while some preferred a more intimate setting. Gildan was one company with a large contingent. The group arrived at the Bushy Park venue early in three bus loads. The 400-strong group, dressed in their fluorescent yellow shirts, was clearly visible from their premium spot elevated from the racetrack, which provided a great vantage point from which they could view all the action on the stage. Vice-president of human resources at Gildan, Esther Hackett, said the event, which was free to staff and fully catered, provided a great opportunity to give back to the staff. The group has been bringing a large contingent to Soca Royale since 2006. (DN)
STOP NOW – LIL RICK IS begging for peace. While his song Energy helped him to walk away from the MQI/98.1 The One Soca Royale with the Party Monarch title on Sunday night, it was also intended to send a message. “I just want the youngsters to stop with the violence,” a hoarse Lil Rick told the DAILY NATION hours after his winning performance. The veteran artiste, whose real name is Rickey Reid, explained that was the reason behind the lyrics to his hit tune. (DN)
RICK, RPB RULE ROYALE - LIL RICK created history at MQI/98.1 The One Soca Royale, winning the Party Monarch six times since the competition’s inception in 1995. Red Plastic Bag won his second Sweet Soca monarch having won in 2011 with Once Upon A Wine. Both of the judges’ decisions went down well with the crowd as both were favourites in their competitions. The announcements were received by loud cheers of approval from other competitors as well. Lil Rick, who won back-to-back titles previously, tied with Edwin Yearwood on five Party Monarch wins. Lil Rick won in 1998, 2002, 2003 and 2007 and 2016. It was his second win at Bushy Park with his other wins at Calypso Bowl on East Coast Road. “I feel good. The competition was hype and good. I respect everyone in the competition. I didn’t underestimate anyone. I just put on my best game,” said Lil Rick directly after being announced winner. (DN)

GMA leads competition in full year 2016 nationwide ratings
Beefs up FY ratings with remarkable fourth quarter performance
GMA Network rounded out another milestone year in 2016 after leading competition in nationwide TV ratings based on full year data from the industry’s widely trusted ratings service provider, Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
For the period January to December 2016 (with December 25 to 31 based on overnight data), GMA registered a total day people audience share of 37.3 percent in NUTAM (National Urban Television Audience Measurement), ahead of ABS-CBN’s 37.1 percent.
GMA grabbed the nationwide lead from ABS-CBN based on people shares in September 2016, and has since prevailed over competition by consistently increasing margins.
GMA’s remarkable performance in the fourth quarter drove the Network’s dominance in the full year 2016 ratings. Leading across all dayparts, GMA recorded a people share of 40.3 percent in the fourth quarter, outranking ABS-CBN’s 35.2 percent by 5.1 points.
Coming from a 5.1-share point lead over ABS-CBN in November in NUTAM, GMA scored its strongest performance in 2016 last December with a people audience share of 41.7 percent, equivalent to a 7.8-point margin over ABS-CBN’s 33.9 percent.
Kapuso fantasy series Encantadia remained the number one program nationwide last month, leading other Kapuso entries that made up majority of the list of highest-rating programs and specials in December.
Joining Encantadia in the top 10 are Alyas Robin Hood, 24 Oras, Pepito Manaloto, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, Magpakailanman, and Hay Bahay!
Completing the list of most watched Kapuso programs in NUTAM are Tsuperhero, 24 Oras Weekend, Someone to Watch Over Me, Kapuso Movie Night, Lipad sa 2017 (Kapuso New Year Countdown), Wowowin, The Magic of Christmas (Kapuso Christmas Special), Eat Bulaga, Sunday PinaSaya, Imbestigador, Pepito Manalotalk 2016, and Superstar Duets.
In Urban Luzon, which accounts for 77 percent of all viewers in urban TV homes in the country, GMA sustained its strong showing as its full year 2016 people share reached 42.6 percent, 11.2 points more than the competitor’s 31.4 percent. GMA won against ABS-CBN in all dayparts in Urban Luzon from January to December 2016.
Nielsen data is gathered through a greater number of sampled homes nationwide in comparison to Kantar Media. With approximately 900 more homes surveyed in Total Urban and Rural Philippines compared to Kantar, Nielsen data is statistically considered more representative of the total TV population.
In 2016, Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, the leading ratings service provider, increased its client pool to a total of 36 clients/subscribers which now include 12 local TV networks, 5 regional clients, 2 blocktimers, and 17 media agencies.
GMA subscribes to Nielsen along with other local networks TV5, Aksyon TV, CNN Philippines, Net 25, Solar Entertainment Corporation, Viva Communications Inc., among others; regional network Fox Networks Group; blocktimers CBN Asia and TAPE Inc.; and major advertising and media agencies such as Ebiquity-Faulkner, Dentsu Aegis Network (Carat, Mediaforce Vizeum, Dentsu), GroupM (Mediacom, Mindshare, MEC and Maxus), Omnicom Media Group (OMD, PHD and M2M), Zenith Optimedia, and Starcom Mediavest.
Meanwhile, the Kapuso Network opens the New Year on an exciting note with a new line-up of programs starting off with the light romantic-drama Meant to Be topbilled by Barbie Forteza. Also in the offing are, among others, the much-awaited first TV series of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, Destined To Be Yours, as well as the Filipino adaptation of the phenomenal Koreanovela My Love From The Star, starring Jennylyn Mercado and Gil Cuerva.
