Over the course of the AU, Star and Ovelia’s friendship is one of the most important aspects of the narrative, with its many ups and downs along the way!

Part of why I’m backtracking and spending so much time writing the prefic Mending A Broken World is to better establish their friendship! Because their relationship is so integral the deeper we get into the story.

So yeah here’s the girlies!! :D

I have frequently come across the complaint that the writers largely forgot about Hunter's enhanced skills, so during my latest rewatch, I kept loose track of any indications that Hunter might actually be using them.

In summary: he uses them A LOT.

The only episodes Hunter features prominently in where I didn't pick up on any indication that Hunter specifically used his enhanced senses were "Common Ground," "Return to Kamino/Kamino Lost," "Truth and Consequences," and "Retrieval"... And I'm sure if I rewatched those episodes more closely I'd find hints of Hunter using his enhanced skills. 

Just a few examples:

OBVIOUS: tracking Gregor's whereabouts and then sensing the hidden military installation on Daro

KINDA OBVIOUS: immediately knows which direction Omega has gone when she wanders off on Pantora; figuring out what happened to the village on Kashyyyk; sensing the Marauder being stolen on Ipsidon

LESS OBVIOUS: while Tech uses his datapad etc to keep track of his team's position on Serreno, Hunter effortlessly leads Wrecker through the city ruins, without the benefit of a map, to take a different route back around to the Marauder. 

Personally, I rather like that Hunter's skills aren't frequently given specific emphasis or a distinct cue, that his use of them is more subtle - it just makes sense that his skills are an innate part of him. Since they aren't exactly flashy skills like Wrecker's strength or Crosshair's sniping, sometimes we might overlook them, but they are still being used.

you know the "aliens made them do it" variant of the fuck or die trope? i think the funniest possible subversion of this is like... outsider pov, but specifically the pov of the alien xenobiologist phd student who's just like please. please i placed these two humans in an isolated setting with provisions for food, water, waste removal, and sleep. im waiting. please i just. please why aren't they... im STILL waiting. what do i have to do???? please... my thesis...!!!

it will never stop being special to me when a character chooses their gender. was thinking about odo earlier and it's just so profound to me that he is just Goo and he could choose to be ANYTHING and yet he resonates with masculinity and is like yes i am a boy pronouns he/him thank you. like woah......someone who has to put effort into presenting a certain way because he WANTS to be perceived like that and not just because "well i was born like this and people treat me this way and i'm comfortable with that." odo the trans masculine non-binary king of my heart......

Art Wip Game

@artisticallyill you asked about the Battle Cody & Obi so here it is

This one is definitely a bad name. While technically accurate, it's not the defining thing about this. Battle Cody & Obi is the name of my drawing that is my Codywan FMAB AU. Truly the title says nothing, and idk what i was thinking when i named the drawing but it's my fmab au

Here's it is so far:

In this au, the jedi are the state alchemists, Obi-Wan is a general and a state alchemist and a highly revered one but I don't know what his alchemy specialization is yet. Cody is his right hand who watches his back and has several big guns and people are scared of him.

I imagine this drawing to be them fighting Maul, who would absolutely just set a bunch of things on fire, not even with alchemy but with straight up matches cuz he's petty like that and Cody and Obi-Wan are trapped by the fire and waiting to see where he strikes next.

When I was ideating this, I realized that their dynamic is already pretty similar to Mustang and Hawkeye, especially with the "we can't date cuz you're my superior officer/subordinate" and the "i will flirt with others as a tactical move but it's fake and the real adoration only comes out with you"

Like Rex would be voluntold only to see Fives already there on his own volition strutting like a peacock. I can only imagine the silent judgment.
