Soooo we’re totally getting Viktor back Darth Vader style after Obi-Jayce Kenobi ‘killed’ him like Judas, right? Like that’s totally what’s happening, he’s becoming The Machine Herald like a Sith Lord, yeah?

i've been thinking about starting a series of little snapshots from movies, of scenes or quotes that remind me of scriptures.
Star Wars definitely has touches of mysticism and religions of that nature (i.e. a balance between light and darkness), but even as a kid watching the OG trilogy, i felt like the Biblical comparisons were important too. the Force is like the Holy Spirit, who (when accepted into our being) is an invisible guide, protector, and comforter. the Jedi's situation in the Prequels reminds me of the Pharisees from Jesus' day. they let their rules and traditions blind them into essentially working for the Sith. And most importantly, Luke's message that anyone is capable of returning to the light is incredibly Biblical. just as Anakin is redeemed after so many years of darkness, anyone can be redeemed by believing on Jesus as their redeemer, no matter what they've done.

transcript:
“I am one with the Force, the Force is with me.” -Chirrut (Rogue One)
“But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.” -Paul (1 Corinthians 6:17)
_
“Luminescent beings are we, not this crude matter.” -Yoda (the Empire Strikes Back)
“Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever (…) For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.” -Paul (1 Corinthians 15:42,44)
_
“To be Jedi is to face the truth and choose. Give off light or darkness, Padawan. Be a candle, or the night.” -Yoda (Star Wars: Legends)
“For once you were full of darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light!” -Paul (Ephesians 5:8)

The Gospel According to Anakin, Chapter 2, Verse 22-23 And it came to pass, while Jesus was traveling in the land of Coruscant, that he did enter a place of rest, and instructed one of His disciples to keep watch. And His disciple said, Teacher, what shall you do? And He replied, I shall satisfy my thirst with the wine of this world. And it happened that a young man approached Him, saying, Friend traveler, you are worn and road-weary. Wouldst thou to purchase some death sticks? And he replied, Amen I say to you, but you do not want to sell me death sticks. Moreover,  my child, you shall go home and rethink thy life, that you may be a bearer instead of sticks of eternal life. And Sleazebaggano did as he was instructed.

It’s largely agreed upon that around 10,000 Jedi perished during Order 66, a devastating number.
As for how many survived, well, it’s believed to be around 100.
No precise answer has ever been officially given but, of course, Star Wars fans have hoovered up every bit of media out there over the years to land on the estimate.
Naturally, the true total could be slightly higher than this.
The estimate of 100 is based upon named Jedi who have appeared in Star Wars films, TV shows, comics, games, or books set shortly after the events of Order 66.
It stands to reason though that some Jedi are unknown to us and therefore it’s impossible to count them.
Reddit user XevinsOfCheese makes an excellent point that “almost every inquisitor is a captured Jedi who survived the Order and was tortured until they changed sides”, explaining why the Jedi feel like such a rarity despite a fair few surviving.
“Surviving Order 66 had to be pretty easy if you weren’t fighting in the war or commanding clone troopers (like Cordova for example). The difficult part was always surviving the inquisitors, Vader, and the years that followed the purge,” added Serious_Course_3244, which is the storyline we see explored in the Star Wars Jedi game series.
