Reasons To Go on a Kayak Eco Tour in Key West and Stock Island, FL
A long-awaited trip to the southernmost tip of Florida can be an exhilarating experience. The gentle waves, golden beaches, and colorful corals add to the pleasure, but nothing beats the sheer excitement that one experiences when opting for stand-up paddleboard rentals in Key West and Stockton, FL. True, there are various types of watercraft available for the tourists at the location but this novel and unique form of boating is something one never forgets. It is interesting to note that stand-up paddle boarding is one of the fastest-growing water activities that have grabbed eyeballs of late. The user remains balanced and confident in gliding on the water while standing upright. This is sure to add to the confidence.  Free to enjoy the thrilling experience by delving into the beautiful marine world is something one can do without any help. Individuals apprehensive about paddling while standing up may also decide on a group tour.
The shimmering water and vivid green mangrove adjoin the blue waters, creating a mesmerizing effect that is difficult to match. The marine life that pops up now and then is exciting, too. Nothing can beat the thick, colorful cluster of corals that form a boundary. The tiny schools of fish moving through the corals add to the unique beauty. True, one cannot steer the paddle boat properly without previous experience. No worries! The skilled guides remain nearby and answer swiftly to a call. The user may keep paddling for two hours or more until the arms are too tired to hold the paddle.
Sure, it is an experience of a lifetime, but statistics reveal that paddling the boat when standing up has several benefits, too. The user is thus elated to learn this and may be determined to try the SUP every single day thereafter.
Boarding the flat-board that floats on water is easy. Balancing oneself on the boat while holding a paddle requires minimal effort but a lot of confidence! The user is sure to feel the pent-up anxiety and stress ebbing away as the only goal at the moment is to remain standing on the boat and paddle through the amazing forest. The other things that benefit the user are:
· Improved Emotional Health- Hearing the gentle sound of water lapping at the paddle board is relaxing. One tends to be happier and at peace to view the plethora of natural life that inhabits the forests and the sea. There are no hardships or pent-up fury as well as depression either.
· Moving Meditation- The mind slows down and enjoys the feel of nature when trying to stay upright, paddle in hand. This form of physical activity is akin to meditation, except that one remains standing.
· Workout- The muscles go through a workout, with the abdominal and leg muscles becoming stronger and pliable at the same time.
One may also embark on a kayak eco tour in Key West and Stock Island, FL, that is more relaxed and less rigorous.

bf!luke at the lake
I have been thinking of these little thoughts for a while and wanted to jot them down! Let me know what you think :))
Tumblr media
➼ bf!luke who is so excited that you finally agreed to come to his brothers’ lake house and has reminded his brothers over and over that you’re visiting
➼ bf!luke who thoroughly cleaned his room because he knows he tends to be pretty messy and wants everything clean for you
➼ bf!luke who cleared out a drawer in his dresser, save for a few of his large t-shirts that he hopes you’ll wear, so that you could put your clothes in and feel comfortable
➼ bf!luke who watched your location and excitedly would wait outside to meet you and greet you
➼ bf!luke who picks you up and must give you a kiss right away because it’s been so long, too long, and he almost forgets that his brothers are standing on the porch watching
➼ bf!luke who introduces you to his brothers and then drags you inside to give you the full tour, practically bouncing with excitement
➼ bf!luke who brings you out onto the boat for the first time with just the two of you and lets you drive around the lake while sitting in his lap
➼ bf!luke who can barely contain himself when he sees all the bikinis that you brought (and maybe makes you do a little try-on show)
➼ bf!luke who teaches you how to wakesurf and paddleboard because the hughes bros know all the tricks
➼ bf!luke who loves how get along with his brothers because he knows how nervous you were to meet them
➼ bf!luke who plans little dates where he shows you all of his favorite spots
➼ bf!luke who relishes waking up with you in his arms and sunlight streaming through his windows as he wraps you up in the mess of tangled sheets
➼ bf!luke who ignores jack’s not so subtle whipping noises when he walks into the kitchen to make the two of you coffee and he’s got hickeys down the side of his neck
➼ bf!luke who wants to show you how much he missed you every night and you have to remind him that his brothers are right down the hall (but you give in anyways)
➼ bf!luke who hasn’t stopped smiling since you arrived and is already planning the next time you can come visit before you’ve even left
🧍🏽‍♀️ me patiently waiting for luke hughes to bring me to the lake like

Going on Bohol countryside tours is perfect for first-timers on the island, as it includes stops in some of the most famous tourist spots in Bohol, including the Chocolate Hills, Tarsier Sanctuary, and the Bilar Man-made Forest. It also features one of the most popular Bohol activities for tourists, Loboc River cruise tours which usually include a buffet lunch and a performance from the locals.
The iconic Chocolate Hills cover an area of over 50 square kilometers across three different towns. There are over 1,000 of these symmetrical and conical hills, and during the dry season, the grass on these hills turns brown, making them resemble giant mounds of chocolate. Never a complete Bohol trip without seeing this majestic view!
The trees in Bilar Man-made Forest are not man-made but are the result of a reforestation project that was started over 50 years ago. The trees planted here are a mix of red and white mahogany trees, which make for beautiful photos. The forest is located in the towns of Bilar and Loboc, and tours usually make a quick stop along the highway that passes through the trees.

Here in Lobos River Cruise, you can experience cruising along the jade-green Loboc river while you feast on a sumptuous buffet of local dishes. The combination of stunning natural landscapes, local cuisine, and cultural performances creates a memorable experience. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a peaceful boat ride, savor local dishes, or experience Filipino culture, the Loboc River Cruise offers a delightful and enriching addition to any visit to Bohol.
The river cruise starts from Loay Bridge near the Church of San Pedro. Midway through the 1-hour cruise, the raft stops in front of a large hut for a short performance by more singers and dancers dressed in traditional baro't saya where they invite guests to dance with them (read: hello siyempre papatalo ba kami haha). The raft moves along the river until it reaches a small portion of Busay Falls, from which it maneuvers for the return trip. At the end of the performance, you can help support the locals by tipping them via the donation box or by purchasing a ukulele to keep as a souvenir.
Tip: if you want to explore the river more intimately and at your own pace, you can try Loboc River kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding. For kayaking, you can rent a kayak, a paddle, and other gear from some of the resorts and tourist establishments along the river. You can also go on a guided kayak tour along the river, and if you’re brave enough to do it at night, you can even join firefly-watching tours that use kayaks.

Monteverde to La Fortuna
After our cloud forest tour, we returned to the main town of Monteverde for some lunch and shopping before we departed for La Fortuna. Tyrza and I went for a coffee at Orchid café where I also had French toast. It had started raining again so we went souvenir shopping hopping from shop to shop to keep dry. There was an at gallery featuring the work of a local artist called Ferlander Arguedas who seemed to love bright colours and Costa Rican animals – I ended up buying a bold sloth tshirt to add to my collection of souvenirs! We picked up some cheaper chocolate at the supermarket and then rode with Danilo our driver to Rio Chaquito. Part of the way there we stopped for a bathroom break and ice creams and had to wait for Charlie who selfishly ordered food again to hold us up. We passed some filthy windmills and finally we reached La Fortuna – the largest lake in Costa Rica measuring about 64km2. As we got off the bus and gathered our belongings to transfer on to the boat I realised I had lost the brand new umbrella I’d only bought yesterday. I must have left it hanging on the back of the chair while waiting for the bus. The boat ride was great until the rudder or something broke off the boat and there was a rush to fix it. It was repaired before we could panic too much though, and soon we had reached our destination and were riding with Luis to our hotel. Dennis gave us a briefing and then handed out all of our room keys. I had a lie down and unpacked a bit then headed out for booking our La Fortuna activities and to have dinner. We were led down the street to the partner tour company who sat us down for basically a long sales pitch about all of their activities. It was very overpriced in my opinion, they were charging more for stand up paddleboarding than I’d paid in Frisco in the United States a couple months earlier. I booked the rafting trip because we really needed the entire group to do it so that it worked out with our transportation onward to San Jose, but then I just used their wifi to book a tour of Mistico Park on Trip Advisor that was cheaper than their tour and departed earlier. Tyrza decided to join me on my trip in going early and hopefully getting a clear view and beating the rain! Our group went out for dinner at Nunka, a restaurant where apparently Dennis would get a kickback from bringing us there. We all paid full price on our expensive (and small) meals and he got a free strip steak for bringing the customers in. I’d chosen the Pollo Cahuita which was nice but again, very overpriced for the size and served with an expensive Mai Tai. Costa Rica definitely considers itself to be first world in price but you still can’t flush the toilet paper!

From thrilling jet ski rides to serene paddleboarding sessions, the best water sports in Dubai offer something for everyone. If you're planning to dive into the fun, here's what you should know before participating in water sports in Dubai, especially around the popular Jumeirah Beach.
1. Understanding the Types of water sports in Dubai jumeirah beach
Before you set your sights on Jumeirah Beach, it's essential to familiarize yourself with the wide range of Dubai water sports available. The most popular activities include:
- Jet Skiing: Feel the adrenaline rush as you speed across the waves on a jet ski, with options for guided tours that offer breathtaking views of the city's skyline.
- Parasailing: Soar high above the pristine waters while being strapped to a parachute and towed by a boat, providing unparalleled views of the beautiful coastline.
- Wakeboarding: A perfect blend of water skiing and snowboarding, wakeboarding is an exciting way to glide across the water while being pulled behind a speedboat.
- Scuba Diving and Snorkeling: Explore the vibrant underwater life in and around Dubai, including shipwrecks and coral reefs.

- Flyboarding: Experience the thrill of flying above the water using water propulsion technology, a unique adventure that is becoming increasingly popular.
2. Where to Go: Jumeirah Beach and Beyond
While there are numerous locations to enjoy water sports in Dubai, Jumeirah Beach stands out as a premier choice. This iconic stretch of coastline not only offers access to some of the best water sports in Dubai but also provides a stunning backdrop of palm trees, luxury hotels, and the Burj Al Arab.
In addition to Jumeirah Beach, consider exploring areas like:
- Kite Beach: Known for windsurfing and kitesurfing enthusiasts, Kite Beach is ideal for those looking for a vibrant beach atmosphere.
- Palm Jumeirah: The man-made island caters to luxury water sports experiences, from private boat rentals to exclusive beach clubs.
- Dubai Marina: Offering a bustling range of water activities, the Marina is excellent for those who prefer a lively atmosphere with numerous cafes and restaurants.
3. Best Time to Enjoy Water Sports
Dubai has a pleasant temperature, allowing visitors to enjoy water activities all year. However, the milder months of November to April are the greatest for water activities in Dubai. The weather is good throughout this time, with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 30°C (75°F to 86°F), ideal for outdoor activities.
Conversely, summer months (June to September) can be exceedingly hot, with temperatures soaring above 40°C (104°F). While some water sports facilities offer evening sessions, it's best to avoid the hottest parts of the day for safety and comfort.
4. Safety Measures
Safety should be your top priority when partaking in water sports, especially if you are a beginner. Here are some essential safety tips:
- Wear a Life Jacket: Most water sports providers will supply life jackets, even if you are a competent swimmer. Always wear one for added safety.
- Follow Instructions: Listen carefully to the safety briefing provided by your instructor. They are trained to ensure your safety and inform you about the equipment and procedures.
- Check Weather Conditions: Wind and wave conditions can change rapidly. Be sure to check weather reports and heed any warnings or advice from operators.
- Stay Hydrated and Protect Your Skin: Dubai's sun can be intense. Remember to drink water regularly and apply sunscreen to protect yourself from sunburn.
5. Equipment and Facilities
Most Dubai water sports providers offer well-maintained equipment and facilities. Before you go, consider the following:
- Quality of Equipment: Ensure the equipment is in good condition. Most reputable operators will have modern gear, but it's always worth asking.
- Insurance and Safety Kits: Verify if the provider has insurance for accidents and if they have safety kits onboard.
- Changing and Shower Facilities: Many water sports in Dubai, particularly at Jumeirah Beach, provide changing rooms and showers, making it convenient to freshen up after your adventure.
6. Costs and Packages
Water sports in Dubai come at varying price points, depending on the type of activity and duration. Generally, you can expect to pay:
- Jet Skiing: Around AED 400 to AED 800 for 30 to 60 minutes.
- Parasailing: Approximately AED 300 to AED 500 per person.
- Wakeboarding: Prices range from AED 300 to AED 600 for about 30 minutes to an hour.
- Scuba Diving: A guided diving experience may cost between AED 600 to AED 1,200, including equipment rental and instruction.
Consider setting aside a budget for water sports participation and inquire about package deals, as many providers offer discounts for multiple activities or group bookings.
7. Booking Ahead
Once you've settled on the activities you wish to try, it's advisable to book your spots in advance, especially during peak tourist seasons. Online bookings are often available and can save you time and money. Be sure to confirm your reservations a day ahead to ensure everything is set for your exciting day on the water.
8. Cultural Sensitivity
Dubai is a melting pot of cultures, and while it is modern and cosmopolitan, it's best to observe local customs and traditions. Dress modestly when you are not in the water, and be mindful of local laws, particularly concerning alcohol consumption and public conduct.
Water sports in Dubai, especially around the beautiful Jumeirah Beach, offer exhilarating experiences for adventure seekers. By understanding the different activities available, recognizing the importance of safety, and being culturally aware, you can maximize your enjoyment of the best water sports in Dubai. Navigating the vast world of Paddle Boarding Products Online can be overwhelming, but fear not! We've compiled a comprehensive guide to help you find the perfect equipment for your skill level and paddling goals. From beginner boards to advanced touring models, we've got you covered.
Let's start with the basics. A good Packable Waterproof Bag is a must-have for any paddler, no matter their experience level. These versatile bags keep your essentials safe and dry, whether you're braving the waves or cruising on calm waters. Look for a bag with durable construction, multiple compartments, and convenient carrying options.
Here's a breakdown of essential paddle boarding products, tailored to different skill levels:
Beginner Paddleboarders:
Inflatable Paddleboard: These boards are lightweight, portable, and easy to transport, making them perfect for beginners. Look for boards with a wider shape for stability and a durable construction to withstand the occasional bumps and scrapes.
Adjustable Paddle: Adjustability is key for beginners as they find their ideal paddle length. An adjustable paddle allows you to customize the length to your height and paddling style.
Leash: Essential for safety, a leash keeps you connected to your board. Choose a coiled leash for greater freedom of movement and a less restrictive feel.
Life Vest: Always wear a life vest for added safety, especially while learning.
Waterproof Dry Bags: Protect your valuables with Waterproof Dry Bags of varying sizes to store your phone, wallet, and other essentials.
Intermediate Paddleboarders:
Hard Paddleboard: Hard boards offer more stability and glide than inflatables. Look for a board with a slight rocker for better manoeuvrability and a more responsive feel.
Carbon Fiber Paddle: A carbon fiber paddle provides increased strength and lightness, resulting in more efficient paddling.
Dry Suit or Wetsuit: Depending on the weather and water temperature, a dry suit or wetsuit can keep you warm and comfortable.
Paddleboard Bag: A dedicated paddleboard bag protects your board during transport and storage.
Advanced Paddleboarders:
Race Board: For those seeking speed and efficiency, a race board is a must-have. These boards are designed for long-distance paddling and offer a fast, streamlined profile.
High-Performance Paddle: A paddle with a carbon fiber blade and a lightweight shaft offers maximum power and control.
GPS Watch: Track your paddling progress and monitor your speed, distance, and route with a GPS watch.
Waterproof Phone Case: Stay connected on your adventures with a waterproof phone case for safe and secure use.
Beyond the Basics:
Paddleboard Accessories: Countless accessories enhance your paddle boarding experience, from drink holders and phone mounts to kayak seats and fishing rod holders.
Yoga Paddleboard: Embrace mindfulness on the water with a specialized yoga paddleboard designed for stability and balance.
SUP Foil: Take your paddling to new heights with a SUP foil, which allows for faster speeds and smoother gliding.

Passekudah: A Hidden Paradise
Passekudah is a small beach town on Sri Lanka’s eastern coastline, famous for its long stretches of white sandy beaches and calm, turquoise waters. What sets Passekudah apart from other beach destinations is its unique bay, where the ocean remains shallow for hundreds of meters, making it one of the safest beaches in Sri Lanka for swimming. This makes Passekudah an ideal destination for families, couples, and solo travelers alike.
While the beach is Passekudah’s main attraction, the surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for exploration. From snorkeling in the bay’s vibrant coral reefs to exploring the nearby historical town of Batticaloa, Passekudah provides a perfect balance of relaxation and adventure.

This beachfront resort offers guests the ultimate in comfort and relaxation, with spacious rooms that feature private balconies or terraces overlooking the ocean or lush gardens. Exploring Passekudah and Beyond
While Passekudah’s calm beaches are perfect for relaxation, there are also plenty of activities for those who want to explore the area. Snorkeling is one of the most popular activities in Passekudah, thanks to the vibrant coral reefs that can be found just off the coast. Visitors can also enjoy kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and jet skiing in the calm waters of Passekudah Bay.
For history buffs, a visit to the nearby town of Batticaloa is a must. Batticaloa is known for its colonial history, and visitors can explore landmarks such as the Batticaloa Fort and the old Dutch churches. The Batticaloa Lagoon is also a great spot for birdwatching and offers boat tours that take you through its mangroves and wetlands.
If you’re looking for more adventure, Passekudah is a great starting point for excursions to other parts of Sri Lanka’s east coast. A day trip to Pigeon Island National Park offers the chance to snorkel among vibrant coral reefs and see exotic marine life, while the nearby town of Trincomalee is known for its historical temples and whale-watching tours.
Dining and Local Cuisine
One of the highlights of staying at Passekudah hotels is the opportunity to enjoy delicious Sri Lankan cuisine. The east coast of Sri Lanka is known for its seafood, and many hotels and resorts, including Calm Resort & Spa, offer menus that feature fresh, locally caught fish, prawns, and crab. Guests can enjoy traditional Sri Lankan dishes, such as rice and curry, seafood platters, and tropical fruit desserts, all while dining with a view of the ocean.
For a truly memorable dining experience, many resorts offer private beachside dinners, where guests can enjoy a candlelit meal under the stars. The combination of fresh flavors and the soothing sound of the waves makes dining in Passekudah an experience like no other.
