Ltd. commonly used to separate non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, copper, lead, etc. Eddy current classification is used to classify metals based on conductivity-to-density ratio. This technology is capable of isolating and restoring stainless steel to recycling and industrial waste.
How does the Eddy Current Separator work?
Eddy's current separators respond to the problem of separating non-metallic metals in the waste and rely on the ability of the conductors to conduct the electric current. When an input magnet changes over time, the voltage generated on that object and the resulting voltage generate a current called eddy current.
The Eddy Current assembly consists of a rotor that incorporates magnetic blocks (usually ferrite ceramic) spun over 2500 rpm (rotating per minute) to produce eddy current. This eddy current reacts with different metals based on conductivity-to-density ratio, creating a dissipation force in the charged particles. The light and conductive metal, such as aluminum, can be easily lifted and thus removed from the normal flow of the product stream which makes the separation possible.
Eddy's current dividers were very important in the waste recycling industry due to the high number of non-contaminated materials found.
Eddy currents separators offer non-ferrous metal separation in three fractions of different combinations of materials:
A composite packaging and soft aluminum fraction, a rigid aluminum fraction and a non-metallic fraction
A ferrous metal fraction, a non-ferrous metal fraction and a nonmetallic material fraction
An aluminum fraction, copper and lead fraction and non-metallic material fraction
Size and shapeParticle size in flow is an important factor in achieving optimal separation efficiency. Eddy currents form a disgusting metal force that causes it to be released in a certain direction. As a result, stainless steel has a different discharge trajectory than other residues and solids in the product stream. This ultimately results in a series of trajectories for nothing and no metal. Example: it is easier to separate aluminum than copper.
Size also plays a very important role in eddy's current dividing process. For example, a metal object has a lower air resistance than a wire or a curved piece of metal sheet. This also affects the range of trajectories.
