During the persecution of Catholics during reformation era England, many faithful Catholics hid Priests in hidden compartments in their homes to protect them. Many people were tortured and killed (including a St Margaret Clitherow) for sheltering Priests.
A Jesuit Priest killed by the English, St Nicholas Owen, specialized in creating these spaces and became the patron Saint of illusionists

COMING SOON
Hey y'all! I'm excited to share with you a little bit about my next big ST story, which I'll be writing in November for NaNoWriMo!
I'm debating on two titles for the story. It will either be called The Red, The White and The Blue or (more likely) E Pluribus Unum.
The story will center on Karen's decision to run for President of the United States. She has long been a Congresswoman and at the story's beginning, is the Speaker of the House. She tells her family of her plan to seek the presidency, which kicks off the story.
Similarly, Joyce is a longtime Congresswoman and the current House Majority Leader. When Karen announces her candidacy for President, Joyce is the first to endorse her and campaign along with her. Joyce also intends to run for Speaker should Karen win the election.
This story will be split into two parts. The first half will cover Karen's campaign for president and the second half will cover her reelection campaign.
While the campaign for president serves as the backdrop of the story, it will laser focus on Karen and Joyce's kids and their work on the two campaigns. While Mike & Nancy know Will & El vaguely through their mothers both being politicians, they will spend this story getting to know each other and surviving a grueling campaign trail.
While I don't want to give away too much, I do know how this story will play out and who Karen will face in the two general elections. In her first election, she will face Sam Owens (aka Dr. Owens in the show). When she's up for re-election, she will face Brenner, who is going to be a far more formidable opponent.
I haven't been this excited for a new story in quite some time! As soon as I sat down to start planning it, I knew right away there would be two parts to it, there would be ten chapters and I knew the names of each chapter and the basic plot points of each. I'm also being so detailed in my planning of this story that I've literally printed out maps to color in which states Karen will win both in the primary and the general elections.
And yes, Byler is going to be a part of this story. In fact, events in part two are going to heavily involve the two of them, but I won't say anymore.
Stay tuned!
Tagging some friends who I think will enjoy this story: @poweredbycreativityandcake @willthecleric @nicholas-nelsons @jesper-faheyss @byliever

Saint Nicholas Owen 1562-1606 Feast Day: March 22 Patronage: builders, carpenters, architects, masons
Saint Nicholas Owen, known as “Little John” because of his short stature, was a master carpenter, who designed and built countless “priest holes” in England, during the Protestant revolution. He served the Jesuit priests and became a Jesuit Brother himself. St. Nicholas was captured two times and died in the Tower of London from his tortures, never revealing the hiding places he built. He is one of the 40 Martyrs of England and Wales.

Jay is not the most studious, but he manages to pass his classes with decent marks, often through last-minute cramming with Will or Eni's help. He excels in subjects that involve action and creativity.
Relationships
Best Friends:
Will Donovan: The voice of reason to Jay’s impulsiveness. Their bond is unshakable, with Will often acting as Jay’s steadying force.
Remy Marcello: Shares a brotherly bond, though they often have playful competitions, especially in Quidditch.
Eni Sterling: Sees Eni as a little sister and always tries to make her laugh.
Personality Traits

Brave and daring, always the first to jump into action.
Naturally charismatic, making friends wherever he goes.
Highly creative and resourceful, often coming up with unexpected solutions.

He doesn’t like Nicholas Marcello (Remy’s cousin), particularly because of how he treated Eni.
Love Interest(s):
Jay hasn’t settled on anyone yet, but he has a knack for attracting attention with his charm.
Daily Life at Hogwarts
Dorm Decor:
Jay’s side of the dorm is a mix of organized chaos. Quidditch posters and photos of his friends are tacked to the walls, and his bed is piled with mismatched blankets and pillows.
Schedule:
