The first Polish tarot cards were published in the "Przekrój" newspaper in 1947. The cards had to be cut out of the newspaper and glued to cardboard. The cards were painted by Polish artist Stanisław Uniechowski. 22 Major Arcana and two additional cards - He and She (symbolizing the questioners).
