Hi so uh, here are the rest of them! New apprentices and kits for every clan! Up first are Sunbeam and Nightheart's kits, Goldenpaw and Shinepaw. I'm pretty happy with how these two came out, if I go into every trait and where it came from I'd run outta room for this post 😅 Next is Redpaw and Sprucepaw from Shadowclan, unknown parentage. I tried to channel the classic light stripes on darker body from like 2013 era Warrior Cats with Sprucepaw. Then is Robinpaw and Starlingpaw, kits of Needleclaw and Kitescratch. I only noticed just now that Kitescratch's line has been named after birds which I think is adorable 💕💕 Then, Silkypaw and Fluffypaw (yes actually) from Windclan, unknown parentage. You forced my hand, here is what I consider to be silky and fluffy, though these are more on the extreme end. After is the new kits! First is Oakkit, Sunkit, and Hazelkit, children of Myrtlebloom, unknown father. Then Quickkit, Beechkit, and Poolkit, children of Lightleap and Blazefire. Poolkit is meant to be leucistic, it was the only way I could justify her being "white". Beechkit is the Tigerclone. And Quickkit looks like his great-grandfather. After them is Rustlekit and Stretchkit, children of Appleshine, and Heronkit and Eelkit, children of Floatshimmer. For all of the kits without a named father I have a best guess in mind, but it was still frustrating bc I'd want to use a trait from the father's line, but I want those traits to stay unique to that line, and without confirmation I can't give the trait to the kit. Blergh.

Myrtlebloom's mate is Flipclaw instead of Shellfur

Fluffpaw and Silkypaw are Emberfoot and Sedgewhisker's

Flutterfoot is Appleshine's mate and the father of Stretchkit and Rustlekit

ShadowClan’s apprentices: Sprucepaw and Redpaw. Some of my favorite new characters from Changing Skies. I really like their names especially since we haven’t gotten the suffix “Red” since Redtail im pretty sure. Spruce I don’t remember hearing once so that’s a good one too. I’ve already drawn all of ThunderClan’s newest kits/ apprentices so Beechkit, Quickkit, and Poolkit are next for ShadowClan.

Moon 24

Lots going on this moon! I love the father and son bonding page the most <3 With this, CutieClan will be going on a hiatus until January 1st, where it will return with a prologue comic: Fawnstar's Origin! This is what was voted on to celebrate the blog's 1 year anniversary :D

I plan on building up a backlog over the break and then post prologue on Wednesdays and regular moons on Sundays as usual. This week I will also be posting the new Moon 24 Allegiances, Family Tree, and Sprite sheet, as well as answering any asks left!

Story:

He wasn’t a murderer. He hadn’t meant to hurt anyone. Well, he had, but not really!

Death isn’t as serious as it should be when you’re young. 

Sprucepaw wasn’t a model apprentice. He was polite, he tried his best, but his best was always short of everyone else. It was WindClan’s fault, their territory was basically dead, the only prey worth catching being rabbits, and they were incredibly fast!

So he would sneak across the Thunderclan border to take prey. Then, he would be respected as a good hunter. Unfortunately, on only his second trip, he was caught by his brother, Oakpaw, who was suspicious of Sprucepaw’s sudden luck--and of the fact that Sprucepaw somehow managed to catch a squirrel on supposed WindClan territory.

Oakpaw threatened to tell on him, and Sprucepaw did the only thing his mind could think of--after begging, but that didn’t seem to be working. His mind was moving too fast to recognize how bad of an idea he had. 

All he knew was that if Oakpaw was dead, he couldn’t tell anyone.

He realized his mistake the moment his teeth sank  in, but it was too late. Horrified, he shoved his face and paws into the stream a few tail-lengths behind him, then took off back to camp. He had no idea what he was going to tell anyone, all he needed was to be away from the scene, to just not see Oakpaw’s still body, bleeding into the grass.

He ended up not telling them anything, simply going back to his nest, where he stayed twitching and sleepless throughout the night. Morning came with a yowl of anguish.

The dawn patrol had found Oakpaw’s body by the border, a mouse nearby. Putting the pieces together, they decided that Oakpaw had killed ThunderClan prey, and they had killed him for it.

The next thing Sprucepaw knew, the two Clans were at war. He couldn’t stand it, the reality of his murder, of the injuries his Clanmates were inflicting and receiving. He couldn’t stand his sister or parents holding him close as they sat vigil over Oakpaw’s body, giving him their final words.

He left one night, running and running and not stopping until he stood atop the tallest moor on the territory. Looking up to the stars, he screeched his sorrow, begging Oakpaw for forgiveness, mercy on their Clan, anything.

The only response was a rush of air and talons in his skull.

--Sprucepaw always got along well with his sister, but Oakpaw was a bully and they fought often.

--He covered his scent when sneaking across the border, which is why his Clan never suspected him.
