Let's talk about Gerry's painting, shall we? We don't know what it is supposed to look like yet, but we do know that it's called “Camden Epiphany”. Now Camden is usually the name of a person or place, but not a word in English. So let's look at the origins of this name.

Winding valleys, labyrinths. Familiar. The meaning of the word definitely seems to line up with the episode's statement/entry, and also with the Spiral in general (I know we're not using those classifications anymore, it just helps with explaining my point).

And "epiphany" is, of course, used to refer to a sudden realization or revelation. This reminded me of Gerry's painting in TMA (MAG04).

The calligraphy in particular stands out to me. It seems to be asking for an epiphany, to grant the viewer or the creator a revelation of some sort.

I think that Gerry's recent painting wasn't just a throwaway moment. It's gonna come back later and it's going to be important to the narrative. And of course, I doubt that Gerry and Gertrude are going to be irrelevant to the plot. I don't think this is the last we've seen of them.

despite the fact that we sorta know lu guang’s main motivation now there’s still SO MUCH about him that’s ??? does he not have parents? why does he leave the original timeline so easily, as if cheng xiaoshi and others were the only things holding him there? like - your EXISTENCE gets completelly ERASED from the original timeline, yet he still chooses to do so over and over. where did he get his diving abilities from? he was a newcomer in the uni where cheng xiaoshi was studying - where did he come from? he had a nice apartment (or so it seems) - why did he SO EASILY decide to move in with cheng xiaoshi (gayass) ? why does he write his notes IN LATIN of all languages? and yeah, how old that guy even is,, i really really hope at least some of these questions get answered in yingdu arc, because it’s been three whole seasons and lu guang still is a sort of walking question mark

And the way Style keeps trying to coax Fadel away from his current life without giving himself away? Why don't you find a new job that lets you love? You don't have to live someone else's life. And so on. The way he tells Kant he's getting kinda attached to Fadel (at least in the subs), but when he's talking to Fadel like this, you know it's more. Because he's trying to steer Fadel to a life where they can be together. No obstacles. No danger.

But he can't say 'please stop killing people because I'm worried about you and I want to be with you' and he can't warn Fadel about the police because, as open as he's being emotionally, now, he's still scared and conflicted

And then, when Fadel tries to reassure him, because he's working toward a life free of danger where they can be together, it doesn't help because Style still knows what Fadel doesn't (again), and I love that play between the one who knows being the one who feels off-kilter, and the one in the dark—though he thinks he isn't—being the one who feels like he's on solid ground

And then it's flipped again at the end! He's so happy to finally see Fadel again, and I don't think he thinks they're home free or anything, but he is happy and he looks relieved. But then Fadel is told Style and Kant are the snitches and now he's one step ahead. He's the one who knows the thing keeping them apart. And it reminds me of that tit for tat they had in their early encounters, where they were always one-upping each other, but now the stakes are higher and the angst is angsting and it's so gooooooood and ugh!!!!

Anyway, this is a mess, and I'm honestly not sure where I intended to go with it, but I'm just really enjoying the writing and the acting and everything in this show
