If you could pitch a Marvel/DC crossover title tomorrow, what would it be and what would you want for the first story arc?

So first off: Super obvious answer is it’s about Starfire and Peter Parker. Spiderfire, obvs, tho I don’t really know what the book would be called. Maybe just Starfire + Spider-Man. Who knows

Second: It’d probably follow reaaaally close to the roleplay universe @goofyzachial​ and I have built for them. It’s been going on for four years as of this month, and while some stuff would need some changing for story-telling purposes, there’s soooo much to use in terms of story arcs. We’ve actually already got the rp Spiderfire Verse split up into arcs, so it wouldn’t be too hard to translate it to comicbook form.

It’d follow after the end of the TT 03 series, at least by a few years. Spidey’s a biiiit closer to maybe something you’d see in TSSM, though things like Venom haven’t happened just yet. Star is about 18, Petey is 19. And of course, they meet when Star decides to see the big apple…

And is subsequently disappointed.

A lot of the first arc is the both of them getting to know each other; Becoming friends, Peter trusting Star enough to take off his mask (though arguably he didn’t have too much of a choice in the matter), talking about Star’s crappy sister ala Blackfire, dating, as well as Peter opening up about what happened to Gwen.

Spoilers: She’s dead, and it’s very much the Green Goblin’s fault.

Norman’s vamoosed out of town though, and it’s been a little more than a year since he did. When he does return, Peter takes it about as well as you think, and nearly storms off to kill him. Star, bein’ Star, stops him.

Eventually they do swing by the Osborn Penthouse, but only for Harry’s sake, and that’s when Harry gets introduced. He ends up playing larger roles in later arcs.

Peter and Harry go off to talk…

And Starfire runs into Normie himself. And a beautiful, beautiful, mutual hatred begins that will affect Star, Peter, and Harry for a very, very, very long time.

We also get a brief Blackfire and Norman team-up, though it goes about as well as you’d think, and is the end to the first arc.

Of course between all of that, Star makes some other friends like Nightcrawler and Wolverine, Peter meets the Titans and Silkie, and Star even gets the Aunt May Stamp Of Approval™

in your crossover (mainly in the spiderfire verse, but also in venomfire ), how is the relationship between Harry and Starfire?

They’re friends and allies!

Tho I’ll admit that right now in the Spiderfire Verse, their relationship is very strained due to Harry’s bad, goblin-formula fueled choices. Star has very mixed feelings on him at the moment, and isn’t even sure if she considers him a friend. Harry feels guilty, and is actively avoiding her while he seeks help.

They’ll talk to each other again one day, when they’re both ready.

So, in the Spiderfire Verse?? Bout five years before Star and Petey met? They used to date. Like for realsies partners-in-crime-fuck-up-the-galaxy-together date. They were a tiny bit squishier and newer, since Blackie had just left Tamaran for the first time not too long ago, and Rocket was trying to figure out wtf to do with himself, but both still rough around the edges and both in the ‘yeah we’re not great people’ category.

They met in a bar when he stepped in during a brawl between her and some back-galaxy rednecks and ‘Troq’ was used. Blackie got them both out of there and went drinking with him at a different bar to thank him.

They… Actually both got along really well together, too. Similar taste, similar hobbies, both weren’t afraid to get wasted and have a good time. And they both had the ‘don’t quite belong anywhere’ thing going. So they kinda found comfort and companionship in each other. She’d complain about her parents and her sister, he’d eventually tell her about the shit done to him. It’s actually pretty cute shit. Not to mention they kicked major ass together.

But, as we all know, Blackie is kinda. Self destructive. When she realized she was getting attached she freaked out and went ‘He’s going to leave me inevitably. So I’ll just leave first!’ and left him high and dry, turned over to the authorities, and made off with some credits.

Rocket didn’t take it well, and is honestly still really bitter about it.

So Rocket and Star are, for lack of a better term, p much platonic soulmates. Which... Was an accident, but it happened and here we are.

They kinda met by chance on Earth when Rocket and Groo.t came to Earth to chase an escaped bounty, and Star leant them a hand. Rocket actually figured out p quickly that she was Blackie’s sister but chose to keep quiet about it for a variety of reasons. In a slightly ironic echo, Rocket was a lot more stand offish, but jumped to Star’s defense when she was also called a Troq, reacting before even she did. And by defense i mean he shot the guy

our good ol Tree/Raccoon duo came to Earth a few times since then, and Rocket ended up hanging out with Star while Gro.ot was visiting someone else. Lots of talking, just hanging out, and getting to know one another.

They’re v comfortable around each other, and even if Rocket denies it, he really does like her. She’s one of the few people allowed to be physically affectionate with him.

Their BROTP tag? ‘We won’t let you go’? He said that when he was comforting her about something. It’s just v sweet and they’re going to go on space adventures.
