I love that they have a bitmoji for this celebration!! 😍 Among other nationalities, I'm proud to be Hispanic. We are loving and passionate people, and we're a lot of fun!!! We, also, make some of the best food in the world!! 😊 Thanks to two of my grandmothers and my grandfather, I have Spanish heritage from 3 different countries!!! I am very proud of where my family comes from and who we are. I think that we should all celebrate the differences and expand our horizons by sharing our cultures and heritage!! Olé!!! 😁

Spanish people aren’t passionate; Spanish people are direct. A Spaniard will tell you you’re being an idiot if they think you’re being one, and they’ll tell you something shouldn’t be done a certain way if they think you’re doing it wrong, and they’ll do it without an ounce of tact by international standards because they’ll just say it straight to your face. A Spaniard will tell you, “This meat is trash, it’s overcooked,” or they’ll say they don’t like the food even if you took them to a specialty restaurant, because culturally, Spaniards are honest.
Latin Americans who come here often say it always seems like we’re angry, fighting, or arguing for this very reason: we don’t hold back to be polite, we don’t sugarcoat the truth, and we don’t use pretty words if there’s nothing pretty to say. That’s your average Spaniard: a bit of an asshole, but always honest. And if they’re not honest, then they’re a hustler, a scoundrel, the type who sells you something in the best possible way only for you to realize later you bought pure garbage. Because this is a country of schemers, swindlers, and tricksters.
It’s a country of extremes, constant arguments, and political fights at Christmas dinner that end in everyone yelling at each other because we speak loudly and are naturally rowdy. But it’s not about passion; it’s about saying everything outright and not holding anything back, because after 40 years of keeping quiet—when saying the wrong thing could get you killed—people simply can’t keep things to themselves anymore.
And sometimes what you hear is absolute trash, and other times it’s a “yaaaas queen,” but the point is, Spaniards don’t hold anything back. Spaniards always choose violence; Spaniards always go to war, and honestly, I think that’s wonderful.

No leer es como vivir en un mundo sin oxígeno. Leer nos salva del horror del mundo. A lo largo de la historia, los libros han ayudado a la liberación de la gente. Leer te hace más sabio, más libre, más fuerte

franco almost missed out on the rest of the weekend cause he accidentally cut his ear while training his neck, they wanted to stitch his ear 5 minutes before fp1 and he was like “are you crazy?” so he ran fp1 and then bc of his crash he had to go the medical center and when he took out his balaclava he had so much blood the doctors were like “noo! unsafe to drive” and then he had to explain to them what happened so they’d let him drive after that 😭

it'd be so funny if Machete's real name was the least elegant/cool thing ever, like "his pale eminence, the revered, the feared...Beppe."

Photos at Madrid's Victory ball! 💃
We attended our first ball! It was such a dreamlike experience!! It was also our first time doing Regency reenactment so it was a challenge. We haphazardly put together some looks, had a great time learning more about the fashion and the dances and met a bunch of lovely people from all over the world. The palace was stunning, the live band was wonderful and the food delicious, it was an unforgettable night 🥰
