You made the unexpected turn into Trolls and i decided it looked interested and followed you! Still haven’t actually watched anything, just kinda immersed myself in the fandom.

the trolls world is just ripe for nonsensical world building, amvs (we callin them fancams now? i'm not sure), and lore mechanics... and then shockingly, trauma dives.

like! because of the kind of media it's in, there are some horrific and tragic implications that are only glanced at, simply left untethered. there's not enough time to cover 2 decades of trauma in an hour thirty minutes for little timmy. But I Have The Time. I will sit with those implications.

and then!!

they get to have their cake and eat it too because of that very same media.

of course they're going to be dancing and singing with the people who only seconds ago tried to eat them! that's just what you do!

of course they're going to tell the people torturing them to death that they deserve to be treated with kindness! everybody does!

the picture it paints for me is of these like. incredibly anxious little trolls, with a whole culture around an almost toxic kind of positivity with very big troubles, and even bigger hearts. and that's like. joey kryptonite. they almost got me back in the first film, but i was mostly satisfied with the character arcs. so i didn't feel the need to break out the fandom playdough.

and then the third one came in with a steel chair like 'hey what if branch was just one part of an entire tragic family. what if they ALL had decades of trauma because of a bad decision they made as teenagers, which permanently skewed the trajectory of their lives. what if they needed some space to define themselves outside of their Band Titles (and by proxy their role in the family) and were then punished for that decision by the narrative, denying them the chance to reunite again. what if a promise sat forcefully broken for just as long and yet the bond didn't disintegrate. what if the love was still there.'

i know this happened a while ago but i haven't seen u say anything abt it so i rly wanted to watch sarus crane but missed it. i remember you said smth about making it available so i wanted to ask how far along you are and where i could possibly watch it when you publish it?

thank you for reminding me op i forgor to post it on tumblr but it is done! it is done. it was hell on earth to navigate fuckass premiere pro (used it because i had a month's subscription left with the college) and i would strongly recommend setting the volume low and then raising it as opposed to starting loud but between the ungodly, confused, and miserable amount of audio editing and the subtitles i think the dialogue And the taiko drums are more or less both audible now

it's still crazy to think that we pulled this off, three months later. i'm very proud of it. credits to my dancers as well as everyone else who helped make this possible are in the video description

My own leaky canine just reminded me in his own way that there is now a dog traveling with Clone Force 99—a big one that I'm conservatively putting at about 200 kilos—who could at any point during a hyperspace journey perform her own stealth maneuver and make everyone on board want to jump into the nearest escape pod.

It would be the funniest possible way to have Birdrick angst. We could also explore the Space Beth/Home Beth/Jerry relationship and how open it is?

Also, the BP we saw has to be a different BP to Rick's right? Not only does he look young and buff but he's still fighting the Federation

okay gross post to follow. but if there was some sort of emergency air-born toxin situation, like a poison cloud but its coming from a tear gas canister type of contraption, and in a panic superman just eats the whole canister to contain the gas since it doesnt effect him. do you think. well. afterwords do you think for a while he'd be farting poison

There’s a weird amount of potty humor in the space babies episode. In one hand it makes sense because ya know- babies and potty humor go hand in hand but on the other a lot of it was just “ok… that is definitely a joke.” Like- the space station moving by farting, or Ruby getting covered in snot, it’s just… not my cup of tea.

It feels kinda out of place, as well, with the fact that the episode gets semi-heavy around the middle but at the end is using potty humor. 15 cackling when Ruby gets covered in snot was hilarious though, that’s bestie behavior and I appreciate it

I know a lot of people are just memeing about Nightreign's lore, but it is a bit annoying that I've seen "how will this affect the lore??" posts, when From has stated it's a separate game with no impact on their previous games. Is it so hard to believe that they wanted to just reuse the assets they have to just create something mechanically fun. A game where Freja, Centipede Demon, and Nameless King exist in Limgrave... I know I don't need to take seriously. Of course I'll eat up any narrative they give, but it's nice that I don't need to spend the following year trying to piece the story together.
